BILL 7 OUTCOME ALREADY KNOWN – JOHN  SANGWA

BILL 7 OUTCOME ALREADY KNOWN – SANGWA

MOVEMENT for National Renewal leader John Sangwa says the outcome of Bill 7 is already known because the constitutional amendment process is stage-managed.

Sangwa notes that there has never been a time in the history of the country where a technical committee was given a timeline within which to conduct its business, stressing that this shows that the entire exercise is a rubber-stamping exercise.

Speaking on MNR’s YouTube channel, Monday, Sangwa said the constitutional amendment process lacked broad-based consultation and the outcome would not express the will of the people.

“The process itself, which has been followed, is not at all consistent with the judgement of the Constitutional Court. The Constitutional Court was very, very clear that you need a broad-based consultation. Meaning that each and every Zambian, they have to go to the lowest unit of the Republic, get the people, perhaps to have the broadest consultations possible. Right now, everything that is being done is basically stage-managed because the outcome is already known.

Never in the history of this country has a technical committee been given a timeline within which to conduct its business. It is given the mandate, it is up to the technical committee to determine its own time-table. But this particular committee, because everything is engineered, it has a definite timeline within which it must conclude its work. So what is going on is basically a rubber-stamping exercise, and the outcome will in no way reveal or express the will of the people,” Sangwa argued.

“Already, most people have refused to take part. In fact, if you read the judgement of the Constitutional Court, the Constitutional Court directed that the procedure to be followed should be similar to the one which resulted in the draft constitution of 2016. That particular process was broad-based, and the largest number of people possible took part in that exercise.

But what is going on, in no way, comes close to what the Silungwe Commission Technical Committee did, so everything is a sham. The constitution is as good as the people themselves. For example, I should have expected people that are members of the Technical Committee to have declined to take part in the Technical Committee because the Technical Committee is a sham. What they are doing is that they are facilitating a fraud on the people, and these are things that should never be allowed to happen in a democracy and, most importantly, in a constitutional democracy”.

Sangwa argued that the constitutional amendment process had proven that the country had weak institutions of government.

“There are lawyers that are acting, preparing some papers, and they are thinking of going to court to try and stop the process. The whole process is another example of weak institutions, of an Executive branch which is so powerful that it can disobey an order of the court, so powerful that it can ignore the Constitution itself, and that is the state of lawlessness we are in. Even the entire exercise that goes to do with the appointment of the Technical Committee is wrong, it is illegal, it is not consistent with the provisions of the Constitution to start with, and then also, even the manner in which it is being done is completely illegal and clearly it is rushed,” said Sangwa.

“I’m not aware of any report done or exercise conducted where Zambians have been asked as to whether they want the constitution amended, that is a decision of the current administration. It is not a decision that is in the interest of the people, and I think it is important, in addition to taking up court action to stop the process, citizens also have the right to appeal to their MPs because it will require a two-thirds majority in order to pass the Bill.

It is important that we all collectively speak to the members of parliament in opposition, together with the independent members of parliament to make sure that they do not support this particular Bill, including members of the UPND itself. They need to put the country first, and this Bill does not further the interest of the country at all, and we do not need Bill 7″.

COURT OF APPEAL GRANTS KAMPYONGO’S  WIFE  BAIL

IN A LANDMARK RULING, COURT OF APPEAL GRANTS WANZIYA CHIRWA-KAMPYONGO BAIL

..After one year in jail Wanziya Chirwa is granted as appeal had likelihood of success…

In a landmark Ruling, Hon. Lady Justice Betty Mwaka Majula, a Judge of the Court of Appeal, has granted bail pending appeal to Mrs. Wanziya Chirwa Kampyongo.

Mrs. Wanziya Chirwa, the wife of former Minister of Home Affairs, Hon. Stephen Kampyongo, was sentenced to three-years in prison for allegedly possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime.

She has appealed both sentence and conviction.

Hon. Kampyongo was acquitted on all 11 counts related to the same allegations due to lack of evidence.

Wanziya’s application for bail was denied at the Lusaka Magistrate and High Court.

But the Court of Appeal has ruled that;

“The Applicant was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment on 27th September 2024 and has already served about one year. *Given the ordinary timelines for criminal appeals, there is a real risk that she will serve most of her sentence before her appeal is concluded.”

” As recognised in Anuj Kumar Rathi Krishnan’ and Kayumba, the likelihood of substantially serving a short custodial term pending appeal amounts to an exceptional circumstance justifying bail.”

“While the Respondent contends that appeals are now disposed of more swiftly, even a moderate delay would see the Applicant complete a significant part of her sentence, rendering any eventual success on appeal hollow. This risk of prejudice satisfies the second limb of the test.”

Accordingly, bail pending appeal is granted.”

EVALUATING THE SUCCESS OF APPEAL

“Furthermore, in evaluating the prospects of success it is not for the Court to delve into the merits of each ground of appeal.”

“But it suffices that all the grounds are examined, and a conclusion is made that prima facie the prospects of success of the appeal are good or dim.”

“The appellate court at the bail stage conducts a preliminary review of the grounds of appeal to gauge whether the appeal is arguable or has a realistic chance of success, without making any final determination on those grounds.”

“If prima facie the appeal appears to have merit or raises serious questions,
that supports a finding of likelihood of success; if the grounds on their face are weak or frivolous, then the appeal’s pros.”

LIKELIHOOD OF SUCCESS

“The Court has considered the Applicant’s grounds of appeal and is satisfied that they raise serious and arguable issues. She challenges her conviction for possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime on the basis that the requisite “reasonable suspicion” was not properly established, citing reliance on speculative property values, failure to link he r assets to criminal conduct, and disregard of legitimate sources of income.”

“It is further alleged that exculpatory evidence was overlooked.”

“These matters go to the heart of the conviction’s validity and, applying the principle in Titus Zulu,’ are sufficient at this stage to show a realistic prospect of success.”

“While the Respondent contends otherwise, the Court notes that its task at this stage is only to determine whether the appeal is prima facie arguable, and on the record before it, the Applicants grounds meet the threshold.”

MUHABI, CHULUMANDA DUPED ME… I don’t want to have anything to do with Zambia We Want, I am out of it! – Bob SICHINGA

MUHABI, CHULUMANDA DUPED ME – SICHINGA
… I don’t want to have anything to do with Zambia We Want, I am out of it!

I was duped into joining the opposition Zambia We Want (ZWW) party by Muhabi Lungu and George Chulumanda, says former commerce minister Bob Sichinga.

In an interview with Daily Revelation over the weekend, Sichinga said it was now quite clear to him that he was duped into joining the ZWW  by its secretary general Muhabi Lungu and his party colleague Chulumanda.

“If they already had a candidate, Honourable [Kapembwa] Simbao, why come to

PF WILL HOLD A CONVENTION UNDER MY WATCH – LUBINDA

PF WILL HOLD A CONVENTION UNDER MY WATCH – LUBINDA

WITH or without a paper, the PF is going to the convention to elect its leaders under my watch, says Given Lubinda.

Lubinda has further appealed to the Electoral Commission of Zambia to extend the voter registration exercise to about two months.

Earlier this week, Robert Chabinga obtained a court order to close the PF Secretariat until further notice. Chabinga also directed that no party meetings shall take place anywhere in the country unless sanctioned by himself and PF faction Secretary General Morgan Ng’ona. He further declared that no PF convention will take place.

But Lubinda, who is the acting PF president and aspiring to succeed the late Edgar Lungu, said PF was in the hearts of its members and not in courts of law.

“The PF as a party is not a certificate, it has members. So if somebody claims to be holding on to the certificate and they say they will not hold a convention, what they’re literally saying is that the certificate will not go to the convention. But we’ve never said the certificate should go to the convention, the ones who go to the convention are the people. So here in Livingstone, the delegates are here, and the delegates are resolved to go to the convention. So with or without a paper, the PF is going to the convention,” Lubinda said.

“The PF is not in the court, the PF is in the hearts of the people, and for as long as the people who claim or who know that they go by the name PF, they will be at the PF convention, no matter what name they are called by. They will go and hold the convention even without calling themselves PF. They are PF, and I want to emphasise, with or without Chabinga’s threats, the Patriotic Front is going to the convention to elect its leader and to elect members of the Central Committee, and they will do that under my watch. Whether Chabinga, whether Hakainde Hichilema, whether Jack Mwiimbu, whether IG Musamba likes it or not, the PF is going to have a convention”.

Lubinda toured Southern Province and held several meetings ahead of the party’s elective convention.

And in an interview after a closed-door meeting with Southern Province and Livingstone PF leaders, Thursday, Lubinda said the newly registered first-time voters are the ones who will kick out the UPND.

“I want to appeal to all young people. 2026 is your opportunity to vote for your government. The government you have now is not your government because you did not take part in voting for them. Now you have your first opportunity. Go and exercise your right,” Lubinda said.

He added that the PF was going to the convention to prepare for 2026.

“Because of that, I have issued instructions. I issued these instructions a few weeks ago that every bona fide member of the Patriotic Front must get actively involved in encouraging our people to get and renew their voters’ cards, and especially for the young people to go and register. Let us go and register. HH and UPND would like very few people to register because they know that the massive new voters are the ones who will kick them out. So, PF members, let us make sure we register as many people as possible,” Lubinda said.

He further appealed to the ECZ to extend the voter registration exercise to about two months.

“I am happy that the ECZ extended the voter registration exercise, but I am very unhappy that they only extended it for two weeks. Two weeks is not enough. If last week they’d only registered 16 percent of the targeted 3.5 million new registered voters, even by the end of this week or even the end of next week, they will not have gone to half. We would like them to extend this for no less than two months because it is a right for every citizen. Over and above that, as they extend the registration period, they must make sure that all the equipment is in service and that they are in a visible condition. It’s no use to go and set up a registration centre when the equipment is not working,” Lubinda said.

“We all know that before a person registers as a voter, they must carry a green National Registration Card. Now, to put registration centres scattered in the constituency and yet you only have the NRC registration office at the Boma is not good enough. Can they also decentralise the registration of NRCs so that they can register as a voter? Our young people will find it easy if they go to the same place, they get an NRC in one office, and go next door and get their voter’s card. That way, you’ll be able to capture more citizens”.

Asked as to what he has observed on his campaign trail, Lubinda said the PF delegates are eager to vote for him, adding that he has administered the PF for four years and was experienced enough to guide the party into 2026.

“I am not a newcomer, I’m not a new entrant. I have been acting president of the Patriotic Front for four years,” he said.

Lubinda said PF members and Zambians should not be comparing practical experiences with promises.

He added, “I am available now and I’m available for the future”.

On the UPND claims that they will win the 2026 elections, Lubinda said the UPND’s weakness is their overconfidence.

“I am very happy that they are so confident because their confidence is actually a weakness. And I’d like to encourage them to continue to live in a glass house, to believe that they are living in utopia. We are living on the ground and I can assure you that it is not up to them, it is up to the real opposition, and the real opposition is the people. The PF is not the real opposition. The real opposition are those who are going 22 hours without electricity. It is those farmers who delivered maize in March and have not been paid up to November. Those are the real opposition, so UPND can go ahead and continue dreaming,” said Lubinda.

PF MPs at crossroads regarding which platforms to re-contest seats on – Sunday

Kanchibiya member of parliament Sunday Chanda (PF) says the circumstances the party finds itself in places him and the others seeking re-adoption on the PF ticket at a crossroads as nobody knows the platform they would re-contest their seats on.

And Chanda said the people of Kanchibiya needed President Hakainde Hichilema for the sort of development the area had achieved, and he was readily available to continue with the development partnership he has had with the UPND administration for the last four years.

Chanda said this when asked if he would accept an invitation from the President to re-contest his Kanchibiya seat on the UPND ticket, or further than that as the President’s running mate in the 2026 general elections.

Asked by Daily Revelation during a recent interview to mention the political party he was intending to re-contest his seat on given the uncertainties brought about by the challenges over the ownership of PF and the impact of the same on those seeking re-adoption and adoptions, Chanda said that was the more reason he said the party he would re-contest under was

BREBNER CHANGALA WARNS ZAMBIA IS DRIFTING INTO INTIMIDATION AND INSECURITY AFTER VIOLENT ATTACK ON PF SECRETARIAT

By Raphael Mulenga

Civil Rights Activist Brebner Changala has cautioned that the violent attack carried out on Saturday by suspected UPND cadres at the Patriotic Front Secretariat in Lusaka is a worrying sign that the country is drifting into an environment of intimidation and insecurity.

Mr. Changala says it is disturbing that a party ushered into office on the promise of ending political thuggery now appears to be tolerating the same behaviour it once opposed, urging Zambians to reject the resurgence of violence and uphold the change they voted for.

He notes that citizens made a clear decision to move the country forward and insists that any return to the turbulence associated with past political clashes should not be accepted.

In an interview with Phoenix News, Mr. Changala has described the incident at the PF secretariat where suspected cadres reportedly stormed the premises, vandalised infrastructure, attacked onlookers and damaged vehicles, as a regrettable development that signals a worrying shift in the ruling party’s conduct.

He has since called for firm national condemnation of the violent acts and a renewed commitment to peaceful political engagement.

DR. BRIAN MUSHIMBA CHALLENGES GOVERNMENT ON ENERGY CRISIS

UMFWENI: DR. BRIAN MUSHIMBA CHALLENGES GOVERNMENT ON ENERGY CRISIS

Sunday, 16th November, 2026

Former Minister, Dr. Brian Mushimba, has delivered a strong and data-driven challenge to the narrative that Zambia’s current electricity crisis should be blamed on previous administrations. In a detailed statement, Dr. Mushimba argued that the facts paint a very different picture from what is often presented in public discourse.

According to the former minister, the foundation of any meaningful solution begins with correctly diagnosing the problem. Misrepresenting history, he warned, leads to weak interventions, misguided priorities, and a cycle of recurring crises.

Dr. Mushimba outlined Zambia’s energy trajectory using publicly available data:

• In 2011, when the Patriotic Front (PF) took office, the country had 1,600MW of installed electricity capacity almost equal to the national peak demand at the time.

• By 2021, ten years into PF’s tenure, installed capacity had more than doubled to 3,300MW, with additional projects underway that brought total capacity to 3,700MW by early 2022.

• Peak demand had risen to 2,400MW, leaving Zambia with an excess capacity of approximately 1,300MW when PF left office.

“These facts are public,” he emphasized, urging citizens to rely on verifiable data rather than political rhetoric.

With this context, Dr. Mushimba posed the central question: “What happened to the excess capacity?”

He questioned whether the extreme power shortages the country is experiencing today could have been avoided had different decisions been made over the last few years.

The former minister’s remarks come at a time of nationwide frustration over intensified load-shedding, which has disrupted households, industries, and the broader economy. Under the hashtags #LoadsheddingSucks and #AbenaKankoyo, Dr. Mushimba signaled solidarity with affected citizens while calling for honest and factual debate on the true causes of the crisis.

Politician and former Lawmaker Saviour Chishimba says he is taking ZESCO to court so it can explain how much power it generates and how it is distributed:

The former Kasama Lawmaker says:

We shall be taking a court action against ZESCO as first respondent and IDC as second respondent. Specifically, we shall seek an order of mandamus to compel ZESCO to tell the nation how much electricity is produced and how it’s distributed. We need our electricity NOW!! Enough is enough!

He Was Not Your Father – Court

He Was Not Your Father – Court
By Dickson Jere

A Zambian lady named Suresh Patel Tembo was born in 1992 out of wedlock. Her mother Regina Zulu died when she was young and was therefore raised by her grandmother who later died too.
She claimed that her father – Indian businessman Nagin Patel of Ndola – provided the basic necessities including school fees. However, as fate has it, he also died in 2006 without leaving a Will. She claimed he was a richman with a number of properties, including houses, garages and 82 trucks. He also left behind two sons whom he had with his wife.

The lady tried in vain to get her share of the estate from the two half brothers. They denied her as they did not know of her existence. They insisted that she should produce evidence to show that she was the daughter of their father.  Meanwhile, she dropped out of school due to lack of funds even though the same brothers had given her only ZMW5,000 for fees.

Having failed to resolve her issues, including going to Victim Support of Zambia Police, she decided to sue in the Lusaka High Court. She demanded that she be given her share of the estate left by her father. She accused the half brothers of enjoying the benefits including taking over the businesses.

The Judge heard both sides of the story including their witnesses. So, the crucial question was whether this lady was the biological daughter of the late Patel. The Court noted that there two ways in proving paternity in Zambia.

“The most conclusive approach is to take a DNA test,” the Judge said, noting that she did not ask for DNA test and therefore cannot be ordered by Court.

In the absence of DNA test, the Judge resorted to determine the matter by way of presumption, which is also legally allowed in Zambia. The lady claimed her birth certificate was lost after her grandmother died and she could not also produce school fees receipts to show that Patel used to pay for her.

“On the totality of the Plaintiff’s evidence adduced, it is apparent that the same is insufficient to support her claims that she is a daughter to the deceased and that the defendants are her half brothers,” the Court said.

Further, the Court said the lady failed to provide evidence that the assets – including  one of Zambia’s famous trucking company – was owned by her alleged late father. Her half brothers claimed that their father left nothing except watches and clothes and that the wealth was created by them.

“As such I find that there is no proof to substantiate the plaintiff’s claims with regard to the assets that the deceased left as alleged,” the Judge said and dismissed the case with costs.

Case citation – Suresh Patel Tembo v Kamilesh Patel & Another (2019/HPF/0122) and judgement delivered last week 12th November, 2025.

Lecture Notes;

1. This case makes a point that whenever you want to claim paternity, the best and conclusive way is to do DNA test. You can also go to Court and ask the Judge to grant you Order to allow DNA test to be conducted. If you do not ask for it, the Court will not give it to you. Court grants what you ask.

2. Without DNA, you can prove by way of presumptions. You show the Birth Certificate, or evidence that the father paid for the child upkeep or school and show the receipts in his name. It is not good enough just to claim. Court works on evidence on record.

Man’s girlfriend sues wife for defamation!

Man’s girlfriend sues wife for defamation!

A 26-YEAR-OLD woman of Lusaka’s Chipata Township has taken her alleged lover’s wife to court, accusing her of defamation of character and persistent harassment.

Carol Musonda appeared before Matero Local Court, where she testified that Eunice Mtonga, also 26, of Chazanga Township, had subjected her to months of insults, threats, and public humiliation.

Musonda told the court that she was meeting Mtonga physically for the first time during the hearing, but she had already endured repeated verbal attacks from her.

To support her claims, Musonda played audio recordings filled with vulgar language, which she said she had captured as evidence.

“Your honour, she has been insulting me since January. Just last Monday she called again to hurl abuse. I recorded her because it has become unbearable,” Musonda said.

She further alleged that Mtonga had threatened to send “junkies” to kill her, leaving her in fear for her life. Musonda recounted an incident when she was forced to leave her home after Mtonga arrived and shouted “hule, hule” — a derogatory term meaning prostitute — outside her residence.

She admitted that Mtonga’s husband, Lovemore Chima, had once proposed marriage to her, claiming he was separated, but insisted she had rejected his advances

Mtonga, however, defended her conduct, telling the court that Musonda’s involvement with her husband had caused turmoil in her marriage.

Presiding magistrate Lewis Mumba adjourned the matter to November 14, pending the availability of Chima, whose testimony is expected to shed further light on the dispute.

‘Give me a resignation date and I will resign,’ says Ramaphosa

‘Give me a resignation date and I will resign,’ says Ramaphosa

African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa has issued a bold and unprecedented challenge to his internal rivals, daring those plotting his removal to publicly name the date on which they want him to resign.

Addressing the NEC during what insiders described as a heated political overview, Ramaphosa confronted detractors head-on, urging them to stop “discussing his exit in dark corners like cowards” and instead table their demands transparently. He further signalled that if the NEC formally asked him to step down, he would do so immediately.

The confrontation comes amid intensifying factional battles, with some ANC figures reportedly pushing for leadership changes and even proposing that a national task team replace the NEC. Ramaphosa, however, warned that the party cannot be run “mafia-style” and called for lifestyle audits of NEC members to restore accountability.

Ramaphosa’s strong remarks came amid media speculation that he was planning to resign after the G20 summit this weekend.

Despite the tensions, ANC spokespersons insist the party is united and that Ramaphosa will serve his full term until 2027. Still, his dramatic dare has laid bare the depth of internal turmoil and put pressure on his opponents to either formalise their rebellion or abandon their behind-the-scenes campaign.

DR CONGO AND M23 REBELS SIGN FRAMEWORK FOR PEACE IN QATAR

DR CONGO AND M23 REBELS SIGN FRAMEWORK FOR PEACE IN QATAR

RWANDA-BACKED M23 rebels and the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo have signed a framework for peace in the east of the country.

The ceremony was held in Qatar, which along with the US and the African Union, has been trying to mediate an end to decades of conflict in the resource-rich region.

Earlier this year, the M23 captured the eastern region’s main cities of Goma and Bukavu. Previous attempts to secure peace have failed.

The US’s Africa envoy Massad Boulos said the document covered eight protocols and that most still required work. He also acknowledged that prisoner exchanges and ceasefire monitoring had been slower than originally hoped.

Kinshasa is demanding the withdrawal of Rwandan troops from its territory.

Kigali says this can happen once the Congo-based FDLR rebel militia is disbanded. It is largely made up of ethnic Hutus linked to the 1994 Rwandan genocide.

The new framework also addresses humanitarian access, the return of displaced people and protection of the judiciary, Boulous is quoted as saying by the AFP agency.

It builds on a declaration of principles signed by the two sides in Doha in July, as well as a deal made in the same city last month on the monitoring of an eventual ceasefire.

Before that, in June, talks between Rwanda and DR Congo brokered by Washington resulted in the signing of a peace deal that was hailed by US President Donald Trump as a “a glorious triumph” but was swiftly violated by the warring parties.

The M23 is one of the biggest parties in this conflict, but was not directly involved in the US-brokered ceasefire deal. It has always favoured the talks mediated by Qatar, saying they will address “the root causes” of the conflict.

Decades of conflict escalated in January when M23 rebels seized control of large parts of eastern DR Congo including the regional capital, Goma, the city of Bukavu and two airports.

Since January, thousands of people have been killed and hundreds of thousands of civilians forced from their homes.

After the loss of territory, the government in Kinshasa had turned to the US for help, reportedly offering access to critical minerals in exchange for security guarantees. Eastern DR Congo is rich in coltan and other resources vital to the global electronics industries.

Rwanda denies supporting the M23, despite overwhelming evidence, and insists its military presence in the region is a defensive measure against threats posed by armed groups like the FDLR.

Candace Owens Says President Trump is Being Blackmailed

Candace Owens, a 35-year-old conservative commentator based in the United States and known for her political media ventures, including the BLEXIT Foundation, is making headlines after issuing explosive claims connected to newly released Jeffrey Epstein emails involving President Donald Trump. She says that powerful international players are influencing American politics to blackmail Trump. The controversy erupted after the House Oversight Committee released internal emails referencing Trump, triggering a wave of reactions across social media and among political figures.

According to Yahoo News, the issue centers on a batch of emails dated November 12, which featured several references to Trump from Epstein and his associates. One message allegedly written by Epstein’s brother, Mark Epstein, speculated wildly about whether Russian President Vladimir Putin possessed compromising material involving Trump. Another message attributed to Epstein himself claimed that he “knew how dirty Donald is,” adding more fuel to long-standing questions about Epstein’s private communications and relationships.

Owens then entered the conversation forcefully, asserting on X that the gradual release of emails was designed to pressure and manipulate the former president. She claimed this slow drip of information amounted to “blackmailing President Donald Trump in broad daylight,” suggesting Trump would now be forced to cooperate with unnamed global actors. Her posts quickly spread across social media, prompting both outrage and support from different political camps.

https://www.youtube.com/live/miDx3Ds9tvU?si=ZW5ER6CWbTYg6mtz

Owens escalated her point by arguing that Israel—rather than political opponents or intelligence agencies—was behind what she described as a coordinated effort to control Trump. She cited Epstein’s alleged connections to Israeli intelligence while offering no evidence to support her assertions. Her claims come at a time when several leaked or hacked documents show that Yoni Koren, an aide to former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, spent extended periods living at Epstein’s Manhattan residence between 2013 and 2015, though these facts do not substantiate Owens’ broader accusations.

Her allegations also follow a recent pattern in which Owens has linked unrelated controversies to supposed Israeli interference. In the aftermath of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk’s assassination, she similarly suggested Israeli involvement without providing documentation or verifiable proof. Critics argue that these repeated claims reflect a shift toward conspiracy-driven narratives in her commentary.

Meanwhile, former President Trump maintains that the revived attention on Epstein’s communications is politically motivated. On Truth Social, he dismissed the situation as a hoax and announced plans to request formal investigations by Attorney General Pam Bondi, the Department of Justice, and the FBI into Epstein’s relationships with several high-profile Democrats, including Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, and Reid Hoffman. Bondi responded publicly, stating she was assigning Manhattan U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton to lead the review into the matter.

Remain virgins, marriage won’t work if you have s£x before union – Bishop Imakando

DURING a couples’ conference at Bread of Life Church International, Overseer Bishop Joe Imakando urged young people to uphold purity, stressing that they should remain virgins and marry virgins.

Speaking from years of counselling experience, he said relationships built on lust or s£x before marriage struggle with respect and trust, making it difficult for such unions to last.

Bishop Imakando also addressed the subject of submission in marriage, arguing that many homes struggle because husbands fail to show consistent love, and that 99.9 percent of the reasons women fail to submit is because their husbands don’t love them.

Trump admin recruits rapper Nicki Minaj in bizarre move to promote military invasion plans

The Trump administration has reportedly recruited rapper and musician Nicki Minaj in an apparent effort to back its proposed invasion of Nigeria to stop purported persecution of Christians.

“U.S. envoy to the U.N. Mike Waltz and rap superstar Nicki Minaj will deliver remarks early this week on the persecution of Christians in Nigeria,” wrote Times political reporter Eric Cortellessa Sunday in a social media post on X. “The unexpected collaboration was arranged by Trump advisor Alex Bruesewitz, who will also speak at the Tuesday event.”

Trump first issued a threat to deploy the U.S. military into Nigeria earlier this month on social media, vowing to go in “guns-a-blazing” to “completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.”

Acts of extremist violence have erupted in Nigeria in recent months, which some Republican lawmakers have alleged to be a “genocide” of Christians, or violence that “borders on genocide.” Rep. Riley Moore (R-WV) has said that more than 7,000 Christians have been killed in 2025 alone.

However, those numbers have been “widely disputed” among experts, ABC News reported, who’ve said that both Muslims and Christians in Nigeria have been victims of violent attacks, which Al Jazeera described as “multi-faceted” and “driven by ethnic rivalries” and “land disputes,” with religion being “often secondary.”

Trump’s push to invade Nigeria is also alleged to be tied directly to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who, when heading Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, cut aid to the African nation, which New York Times columnist Nick Kristof argued had killed “far more Nigerian Christians than Islamic terrorists” had.

MATERO COURT DISSOLVES 18 YEAR OLD MARRIAGE OVER H8V, FAMILY CONFLICT

MATERO COURT DISSOLVES 18 YEAR OLD MARRIAGE OVER H8V, FAMILY CONFLICT

A MARRIAGE of 18 years has come to an end at Matero Local Court after a woman from Six Miles in Chibombo District agreed to dissolve her union with her husband, who accused her of infecting him with HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

John Daka petitioned the court to divorce his wife, Agnes Makai, citing mistrust, family interference, and health complications as reasons for the breakdown of their marriage.

The couple, who married in 2012, share four daughters aged 13, 10, seven, and a four month-old infant.

Daka told the court that the marriage began happily but soured in 2020 when both partners discovered they were HIV-positive.

He said he later contracted STIs and blamed Makai for the infections.

Daka further complained that Makai’s family condemned him for allegedly infecting her, leaving him feeling isolated and unloved.

“We have stayed for one year and four months without having sex. We have dialogued with both families three times but nothing happened,” Daka said, adding that he could no longer continue in the marriage.

Makai, however, disputed her husband’s account. She said medical professionals had advised them to use condoms during intimacy, but Daka refused. She accused him of promiscuity and of knowingly infecting her with STIs.

“One day, we wanted to make love but the condom was damaged yet he insisted we go ahead. This man, your honour, has no secrets; he discloses everything to everyone in the whole neighbourhood. Now everyone knows I am HIV-positive and I feel embarrassed,” Makai said.

Despite expressing love for Daka earlier, Makai agreed to the divorce, saying she could no longer endure the humiliation. Parents from both families also testified, supporting the dissolution.

Senior Magistrate Lewis Mumba granted the divorce and ordered Daka to compensate Makai with K10,000, payable in instalments.

DR CONGO SHOCK NIGERIA ON PENALTIES TO WIN AFRICAN WORLD CUP PLAYOFFS

DR CONGO SHOCK NIGERIA ON PENALTIES TO WIN AFRICAN WORLD CUP PLAYOFFS

THE Democratic Republic of the Congo kept their hopes of a World Cup place alive as they edged Nigeria 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at the end of extra time to win the African qualifying playoffs in Morocco.

DR Congo now await the draw on Thursday for the inter-confederation playoffs in March, where six teams will chase two places at the 48-team finals.

Captain Chancel Mbemba converted the decisive kick on Sunday after Congolese substitute goalkeeper Timothy Fayulu, brought on a minute before the shootout, made two saves.

Frank Onyeka had Nigeria ahead in the third minute, but Meschack Elia equalised for the two sides to be level 1-1 after extra time.

The mini-tournament in Rabat was for the best runners-up across the nine African qualifying groups, whose fixtures were completed last month with the nine winners automatically booking a berth at the World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States next year.

Nigeria, who have been to six previous World Cups, were off to a perfect start as the Congolese cleared an early cross but only onto the edge of their penalty area, where Onyeka snapped up the ball and powered home an effort, helped into the net by a slight deflection off Axel Tuanzebe.

But the Congolese could have been level within nine minutes had Ngal’ayel Mukau not put his close-in effort over the crossbar after Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali had flapped at the ball.

They did equalise in the 32nd minute after Alex Iwobi had been stripped of possession inside the Congolese half, and a quick counter saw Cedric Bakambu square for Elia to score despite the efforts of Nigeria captain Wilfred Ndidi to intercept the ball.

A clever back-heel at a corner early in the second half from Bakambu saw Nwabali make a sharp stop, and there looked a decent penalty shout for the Congolese as Noah Sadiki was upended by Benjamin Fredrick in the Nigeria box in the 55th minute, but the referee did not show any interest, and there was no VAR check.

DR Congo looked more ambitious as the contest wore on, but it was characterised by a wary approach from both sides, keen not to make any mistakes with so much at stake.

Nigeria needed extra time to get past Gabon in their Thursday semifinal and looked much more fatigued than their opponents, who beat Cameroon inside 90 minutes in their semi later the same night.

There were two opportunities in extra time on either end, with Nigerian substitute Tolu Arokodare heading over, and then with the last effort of the game, Mbemba had his effort saved by Nwabali.

DR Congo went on to hold their nerve in the shootout and still have a chance to compete at their first World Cup since 1974, when the country was still known as Zaire.

Egypt, Senegal, South Africa, Ghana, Cape Verde, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Algeria and Tunisia have already qualified directly for the 2026 World Cup from Africa.

Bolivia from South America and New Caledonia from Oceania have already reached the six-team continental playoffs.

In Asia, United Arab Emirates host Iraq in their second leg on Tuesday to decide another playoff entrant. The first leg was 1-1.

Also included will be the best two group runners-up from the North American, Central American and Caribbean federations, once the final matches of the qualifying rounds end on Tuesday.

Europe has its own playoff system for the remaining non-automatic berths for the 48-team World Cup.

Tanzania president promises probe into election protest deaths

Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan has announced an official investigation the unrest that broke out during election week, following accusations that her government was responsible for violently crushing historic protests.

She was declared the winner of last month’s presidential poll with 98% of the vote – a result the opposition has denounced as a “mockery of democracy.” At least 240 people were charged with treason after the protests.

As well as the commission of inquiry, President Samia has also asked prosecutors to “show leniency” towards those arrested in connection with the violence.

Quoting the Bible, she said: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

Her remarks come just days after the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, urged Tanzanian authorities to conduct a full and transparent investigation into reports of killings and other serious human rights violations during and after the October 29 elections.

Hundreds may have died in post-election unrest, according to the opposition. The authorities are yet to release an official death toll.

The violence was shocking for a nation that had cultivated an image of calm, consensus and order for nearly six decades.

During an address to parliament on Friday, President Samia urged prosecutors to consider reducing or dropping charges for individuals who may have been swept up in the unrest without fully understanding their actions.

“I am aware that many young people have been arrested and charged with treason. They did not fully understand what they were getting involved in,” she said. “As a mother and guardian of this nation, I am directing law-enforcement agencies, especially the DPP’s office, to show leniency.”

Samia also called on political parties to meet and discuss how to conduct politics without causing harm to the country. She reaffirmed her commitment to initiating a new constitution-making process.

The protests, organised by young people, drew clear parallels with global Gen Z-led mobilisations against entrenched leadership and unresponsive governments.

Analysts say while the unrest was unprecedented for Tanzania, it was preceded by a tense political climate – marked by stalled reforms, years of simmering youth anger, power tussles within the ruling party and the sustained persecution of opposition leaders.

In the months preceding election day, the CCM government worked to systematically eliminate any credible competition, according to analysts.

The two main opposition leaders were blocked from standing in last month’s poll – Tundu Lissu is in detention on treason charges, which he denies, while Luhaga Mpina’s candidacy was rejected on technical grounds.

During her first term in office, Samia’s approach to leadership had been initially admired both at home and abroad as she allowed opposition parties to organise rallies and criticise the government without the fear of grave repercussions.

She had pledged to re-open Tanzania to the world through her “4R” doctrine – reconciliation, resilience, rebuilding and reform.

But months to the election, a wave of abductions, arrests and the brutal killings of opposition members gripped the country, shattering hopes for reforms and reconciliation.

Civil rights icon Rev. Jesse Jackson Remains Hospitalized, is Receiving Life-Support Assistance

Civil rights icon Rev. Jesse Jackson, 84, a legendary African American leader from Chicago and one of the most influential figures of the modern civil rights movement, is currently hospitalized and receiving life-support assistance to help stabilize his blood pressure. Jackson, long admired for his decades of activism and for founding the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, has been battling a serious neurological illness, making his current condition especially significant for African Americans and for those who have followed his leadership since the 1960s.

CNN reports that, according to a family source, Jackson has been under close medical supervision after being monitored for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), a rare and debilitating neurological disorder. The Rainbow PUSH Coalition recently shared that he has been under observation for this condition, though his medical team has not disclosed many specifics. PSP often affects movement, balance, and eye control, and is known to progressively worsen over time.

The family insider reported that Jackson’s health became more fragile over the weekend after his blood pressure dropped sharply on Saturday night. Medical professionals responded quickly, and since then he has shown intermittent bursts of energy, possibly due to medication he has been receiving for the past two days. Despite the seriousness of his condition, Jackson has had brief but noticeable moments of responsiveness.

Just last week, Jackson’s son, Jesse Jackson Jr., shared on his radio program that his father had demonstrated “significant improvement” while under medical care. PSP often mimics Parkinson’s disease in its early stages, and Jackson was initially believed to have Parkinson’s before doctors confirmed his PSP diagnosis last year. Most patients with PSP experience major disability within several years of onset.

Jackson has reportedly been managing symptoms of this neurodegenerative illness for over a decade. The Rainbow PUSH Coalition previously clarified that although Parkinson’s was his original diagnosis, updated evaluations confirmed PSP as the true cause of his health challenges. The disease commonly begins in a person’s 60s, making Jackson’s long-term management of the condition notable.

Rising to national prominence as a close aide to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the 1960s, Jackson became one of America’s most transformative civil rights voices following King’s assassination. He founded Operation PUSH in 1971 to strengthen the economic power of Black communities, later launched the National Rainbow Coalition in 1984, and ultimately merged both into the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. His enduring message—“Keep hope alive”—solidified his legacy across the Jim Crow era, the civil rights movement, and the generations leading up to the election of Barack Obama and the rise of Black Lives Matter.

Zimbabwe Police Alleges Walter Magaya Supporters Raising US$200 000 To Bribe Police, Prosecutors And Judges

Zimbabwe Police Sound Alarm On Alleged Plot To Bribe Officials In Walter Magaya Case
The Zimbabwe Republic Police has issued a stark warning, alleging that supporters of PHD Ministries leader Walter Magaya are actively raising a substantial war chest of US$200 000 to bribe police, prosecutors, and judges. This explosive claim was detailed in an official police press release issued on November 15, 2025. The police assert that a coordinated syndicate is working to derail the ongoing criminal investigations and court proceedings against the prominent preacher.

The International Fundraising Syndicate
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police, a specific team operating across international borders is behind the alleged plot. The police statement names Albertina Saikonda as the leader of this effort, which is based in South Africa.

https://youtu.be/G2u5SJXnx3A?si=rtJJrbVaqfrgriaZ

The Zimbabwe Republic Police is fully aware of coordinated efforts by a team led by Albertina Saikonda, based in South Africa, to raise funds to the tune of US$200,000.00 (approximately R3.6 million) or more in Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Australia.

The police did not provide specific evidence of the fundraising activities, but the allegation has sent shockwaves through the public sphere. The statement outlines the intended use of this large sum of money, claiming it is meant to compromise the very officials tasked with upholding the law.

A Direct Threat To The Justice System
The police statement leaves no room for ambiguity regarding the alleged purpose of the funds. It claims the money is specifically earmarked to influence individuals at every level of the judicial process, from the initial investigation to the final judgment.

The money will then be used to approach and compromise the Police investigators, prosecutors, magistrates and judges, among others, so as to derail the whole criminal investigations and court proceedings.

In response to this alleged threat, the police have issued a severe warning to all individuals and groups involved. The statement promises that the law will be applied without fear or favour, and that those caught interfering will face arrest.

This development comes amidst Magaya’s own legal battles. Just days before this police statement, on 12 November 2025, Magaya approached the High Court seeking to have his remand on rape and fraud charges overturned, arguing his constitutional rights were breached during his arrest in early November.

Public Urged To Report Corruption Attempts
In a move to safeguard the integrity of the case, the ZRP has called on the public, particularly potential witnesses, to be vigilant. The police have reissued dedicated contact numbers for citizens to report any attempts to interfere with the proceedings.

All potential witnesses should report anyone dangling any form of offers or cash or promises to the police for swift action to be taken.

The public is urged to utilise cellphone number 0776 830 226, the National Complaints number (0242) 703 631, or WhatsApp number 0712 800 197 to report any such approaches. This is the same set of contact numbers initially released on 8 November 2025 for global victims to come forward, indicating a consolidated police strategy for the high-profile investigation.

Husband Snatcher Ordered To Pay Massive US$1.75 Million For Stealing Friend’s Partner

A woman has triumphed in a sensational courtroom battle, winning a massive US$1.75 million (approx. R32 million) payout from a TikTok influencer she accused of systematically seducing and stealing her husband. Akira Montague sued Brenay Kennard, a social media personality with nearly 3 million followers, for deliberately destroying her marriage to Tim Montague.

The jury found Kennard liable for the archaic-sounding charges of alienation of affection and criminal conversation. The verdict sends a shockwave through social media circles, proving that online fame is no protection from the consequences of personal actions.

A Friendship And A Family Shattered
The scandal unfolded with Kennard moving into the Montague family home in December 2023, seeking refuge from problems in her own marriage. Akira, who had considered Kennard a friend, soon grew uncomfortable with the living arrangement. She confided in Kennard about private marital issues, unaware that the influencer was allegedly using that information to her advantage.

According to the 2024 lawsuit, Kennard engaged in a calculated campaign to seduce Tim, who was also her manager. Akira’s legal team presented evidence of Kennard wearing revealing clothing and making suggestive comments towards Tim. The situation culminated in a devastating discovery for Akira. She described the moment she learned of the affair to local station WTVD, stating:

I literally was like dizzy. Like I was about to faint.

Social Media Flaunting And A Courtroom Battle

The alleged affair was not kept secret. Kennard was accused of flaunting the relationship to her massive online audience while Tim was still married. More than 700 pages of evidence, including text messages and a video of Kennard twerking on Tim in a bathroom, were presented to the jury. The court also heard that Kennard had posted online about her desire to become “Mrs Montague” and have children with Tim.

Throughout the trial, Akira’s attorney, Robonetta Jones, argued that her client was publicly humiliated. Jones told WTVD after the verdict:

I want people to be able to think, OK, Mrs Montague won US$1.75 million (approx. R32 million). Is that man worth it? Is that woman worth it? They will think now. [Kennard] posted online that she wanted to be Mrs Montague, and I believe she did everything she could.

Tim Montague’s testimony did little to help the defence. According to The News & Observer, he told the court, “I loved her but I wasn’t in love with her.” He and Akira separated in March 2024 and were formally divorced in August. Tim has since married Brenay Kennard.

Brenay Kennard, left, and Tim Montague, right, are now married

Life After The Verdict
While Akira was awarded the substantial sum, she emphasised the profound personal cost. She told WTVD about the ongoing harassment she and her children face, saying, “It was horrible. I don’t like going out in public with my kids because I get stopped in the store. I can’t have fun with my kids; to this day, people harass me and them. It’s hard.”

She also expressed that Kennard has shown no remorse, recalling Kennard’s testimony:

“She doesn’t regret it. Like she said, I’m just bitter because she took my husband. Those were her words. That’s what she told the jury.”

In the days following the November 2024 verdict, Kennard appeared unfazed, posting selfies online. When questioned by WRAL about the payment, Kennard was dismissive, stating,

“I don’t know, but she’ll probably never see it.”

The influencer and her new husband maintain that the trial was unfair. Tim told NBC News, “My wife had no fair shot,” a sentiment echoed by Kennard, who said, “The verdict wasn’t fair at all. I fought lies for 8 days and the jury sought sympathy not facts.”

Michelle Obama says America isn’t ‘ready for a woman’ to be president

Former US first lady, Michelle Obama, has said that America isn’t ready for a woman in the Oval Office, arguing men nationwide don’t want to be led by a female president.

Obama, who backed former Vice President Kamala Harris in her failed 2024 White House bid against President Trump, made the remarks while promoting her new book, “The Look,” at an event at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

“As we saw in the past election, sadly, we ain’t ready,” the 61-year-old told actor Tracee Ellis Ross, who moderated the event, which was posted on Obama’s YouTube page over the weekend.

“That’s why I’m like, don’t even look at me about running, because you all are lying. You’re not ready for a woman. You are not.”

The mom of two has faced persistent speculation and calls to run for president, but she has repeatedly stressed that she has no desire to seek the Oval Office.

When asked by the “Black-ish” star whether her time in the White House paved the way for a woman to be president, Obama fired back that men are far from ready.

“You know, we got a lot of growing up to do, and there’s still, sadly, a lot of men who do not feel like they can be led by a woman, and we saw it,” Obama charged.

The former first lady, who served alongside her husband from 2009 to 2017, urged voters last year to throw their support behind Harris, warning that Trump was a threat to the country.

Teacher who s£xually abused teen and then asked him to k!ll her husband is sentenced to prison

0

A married teacher who s£xually abused a troubled inmate at a Kentucky juvenile detention center and then asked him to k!ll her husband will spend more than a decade behind bars.

Elena Bardin, 27, was sentenced to 14 years in prison after a jury convicted her of first-degree s£xual abuse and unlawful transaction with a minor for having explicit sexual contact with a 17-year-old boy at the Adair County Juvenile Detention Center, where she taught English, according to Court TV.

Bardin, mother to a five-year-old girl, was also accused of asking the teen to murd£r her husband, but the jury acquitted her of that charge.

The twisted teacher was busted in April when a routine search of the teen’s room at the lock-up uncovered about 193 sexually explicit letters and photos she had allegedly sent to him, according to authorities.

The judge noted that Bardin admitted to having s£xual contact with the inmate in one of her letters.

“The letters you sent, which they were juicy, they were things you’d see in a triple-x movie, and completely inappropriate, obviously, and I think you know that for a young man that age,” Circuit Judge Samuel Spalding said at Thursday’s sentencing.

“And for an educator, it was incumbent upon you to set a better example. I will say though, the 193 pages of letters, pictures, everything else, it depicts a very intelligent and articulate young woman who was clearly articulating her thoughts and desires to this kid.”

Spalding added that Bardin’s supervisor testified that she had been warned to end the relationship and stay away from the teen, who at one point was also moved to another section of the detention center.

“And ma’am, not only did you not heed that advice and stop, it looks to me like you actually doubled down on the behavior after that, and that is concerning,” he charged.

He told the court their illicit relationship was just a “way to kill time while he was locked up.”

Bardin, who didn’t testify during the two-day trial, will be required to register as a s£x offender for 20 years

Emmanuel Mwamba: A Man Everywhere But Truly Nowhere

  THE CANDIDATES | Emmanuel Mwamba: A Man Everywhere But Truly Nowhere

Emmanuel Mwamba sits at a strange intersection of Zambian politics. He is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. His Facebook interviews and Podcast travel across the country faster than most radio signals, but he remains in self-imposed exile in the United States. He is mocked by PF insiders as “the online presidential aspirant,” yet his influence inside bureaucratic and political networks is much deeper than many admit.

He is a Bemba politician with no clear grassroots base in Muchinga, Northern or Luapula, but he still commands curiosity within PF’s old guard and parts of the civil service.

Born in Luanshya in 1971, Mwamba built his career not through electoral battles but through the state machinery. He moved from provincial Permanent Secretary roles to the Ministry of Information, then to foreign service appointments in South Africa and later Ethiopia as ambassador to the AU and UNECA.

Those who have worked with him describe a sharp, strategic and disciplined administrator. Those who oppose him describe a skilled propagandist who is good at leaking information and twisting narratives. Both views capture the same truth: Mwamba knows how communication shapes power works behind curtains.

His fear of returning to Zambia, he has said repeatedly that he expects arrest on arrival, has shaped his persona in exile. He casts himself as a persecuted voice, a political commentator speaking from a safe distance. Outside PF structures, his critics see him as manipulative, selective with facts and too comfortable fuelling controversy.

Inside PF, his support is thinner than the noise around him suggests. PF delegates and cadres prefer candidates who can mobilise boots on the ground, not just views on Facebook. Mwamba lacks the classic machinery: he does not have the ward networks, the constituency teams or the provincial anchors.

His appeal lives mostly in political WhatsApp groups, in civil service corridors, and in elite circles where information leaks and rumours have currency.

Yet this is precisely his strength. Mwamba has a deep network that cuts across ministries, former diplomats, senior technocrats and political operatives. He understands statecraft in a way few PF aspirants do. He knows the technical side of governance, the bureaucratic pulse, the regional diplomacy language and the strategic messaging game.

Mwamba is not charismatic enough to shake a rally, but he is influential enough to shape narratives. This makes him dangerous to ignore and difficult to categorise.

If PF were selecting a technocrat-president, Mwamba would be a frontrunner. But PF is not that party. Delegates reward visibility, region and mobilisation. The current PF race is dominated by candidates with either a strong Northern circuit–Luapula axis or Eastern enclave alliances. Practically, Mwamba sits outside both circles. He has no clear electoral base. He has no mass following on the ground. His influence is elite, not grassroots.

Even his Bemba identity does not automatically translate into delegates because the PF Bemba bloc is already split between aspirants who command ground structures.

Still, Mwamba’s political future is not dead. If PF fractures further, he could cast himself as the stabiliser, the bridge, the clean pair of hands between hardline factions. His exile narrative could morph into a martyr story. His diplomatic experience could become a selling point for a party that appears lawless and chaotic. And his media presence could become a megaphone for whichever faction he aligns with. He may not be a winning candidate today, but he is certainly a strategic player.

In the end, Emmanuel Mwamba’s relevance does not rest on crowds shouting his name. It rests on how much influence he still wields in the shadows of the state, how many political networks he can activate from abroad, and how desperate PF becomes for a unifying party communication if the internal war escalates.

Mwamba is not the PF favourite. He is not the grassroots choice. But in Zambia’s unpredictable opposition politics, even an exile can become a contender if the party collapses inward and needs a steady hand.

Whatever the case, Mwamba is a powerful commentator, a skilled propagandist, and a respected former diplomat with real networks but weak electoral grounding.

His candidacy is unlikely to catch fire among PF delegates, but his influence remains significant, especially if PF enters a crisis where communication, negotiation and elite coordination matter more than raw mobilisation.

RAMAPHOSA WILLING TO RESIGN TOMORROW

BREAKING NEWS: RAMAPHOSA WILLING TO RESIGN TOMORROW

African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa has dared his political detractors in the National Executive Committee (NEC) to give him a date by which he should resign.

In a heated direct political overview report, Ramaphosa dared his political detractors to stop discussing his exit in dark corners like cowards.

Ramaphosa told the NEC that if he is asked to resign, he will even do it tomorrow.

The ANC President’s comments come after media reports that he is planning to resign after the G20 summit.

In a bold move, Ramaphosa, reflecting on the current Madlanga commission of Inquiry, called for lifestyle audits on all NEC members, saying the ANC must never be run mafia style.

Party leader Zandile Dabula said they received approval to protest and will act within the law. She denied claims they intend to block the summit, saying the aim is to highlight unemployment, poor services, and declining safety.

Dabula criticised the government for welcoming over 150 Palestinians while citizens “are suffering every day.”

🔥 Operation Dudula vs G20 Summit: A Protest That Could Make or Break South Africa

Operation Dudula has threatened to stage protests during the G20 Summit — a moment when South Africa will be under the world’s spotlight. This move has sparked heated national debate. Here’s a breakdown of why it’s wrong, why some think it’s good, and how it affects the country:

❌ WHY THIS PROTEST IS WRONG

Embarrasses the country in front of global leaders, investors and the international media.

Risk of violence and chaos, which could damage SA’s image as a stable investment destination.

Interferes with security operations, putting lives at risk during a major world event.

Wrong timing — legitimate issues get overshadowed by the negative optics during a global summit.

✔️ WHY SOME SAY IT’S GOOD

Raises national concerns about illegal immigration, unemployment, and crime at a time when leaders are present.

Forces government attention — protests often push policymakers to address long-ignored issues.

Shows public frustration, highlighting that communities feel unheard and want urgent change.

⚠️ WHY IT’S BAD FOR SOUTH AFRICA

Damages investor confidence, affecting jobs, tourism and economic deals that could help the country.

Hurts small businesses, especially in Johannesburg where disruptions can shut down daily operations.

Reinforces division and tension, instead of building unity during a critical global event.

Puts South Africa at risk of losing future high-level events if security chaos becomes the headline.

🇿🇦 South Africa is hosting one of the biggest diplomatic and economic gatherings in the world.

We’ll discipline UPND cadres who stormed PF secretariat – Mwaliteta

By: News Diggers

UPND Lusaka Province Chairman Obvious Mwaliteta has warned that the UPND cadres who caused havoc at the PF secretariat will be dealt with.

Meanwhile, police say during the fracas, two people were injured, adding that a manhunt has since been launched to identify and apprehend the suspects so that they can be brought to justice.

On Saturday, a video emerged where UPND cadres stormed the PF Secretariat and started beating people while breaking property.

In an interview, PF Deputy Secretary General Brenda Nyirenda said she received information from party members about the attack.

MAKEBI ZULU MULLS BUYING PETER CHANDA’S NCP PARTY, ON HIS JOURNEY TO PLOT ONE

MAKEBI ZULU MULLS BUYING PETER CHANDA’S NCP PARTY, ON HIS JOURNEY TO PLOT ONE

By Michael Lombe

Makebi Zulu, yes, the same man who turned a national funeral into a Netflix suspense series, is now reportedly shopping for a new political home. Apparently, the PF isn’t rolling out the red carpet for his presidential dreams, and our guy is ready to pack his spiritual anointing and go where the breeze is blowing… or where the cheque clears.

This is, after all, the man who managed to keep a former Head of State frozen longer than the plot of a telenovela. South Africans watched. Zimbabweans watched. SADC watched. Even the morgue attendants probably asked for overtime.

Now, insiders say Makebi,  affectionately rebranded as “Malukula the Mortuary Maestro”,  is eyeing Peter Chanda’s NCP like a man browsing second-hand cars. Word is he wants to buy the whole party, slap on new plates, and drive it straight to State House.

And just when you think the script couldn’t get any wilder, Makebi allegedly told his circle that he has raised $10 million from supporters of the late President Lungu across South Africa and Zimbabwe. Ten million! If fundraising was a sport, he’d be the Most Valuable Player of the Year(MVP), and Chief Accountant, all at once.

Meanwhile, PF members are sulking in the corner, feeling duped after being dragged through months of “we can’t bury him yet, prophecy pending.” They’ve realised the emotional rollercoaster was less about mourning and more about Makebi’s attempt to audition for the role of “Next President of Zambia: Resurrection Edition.”

At this point, Makebi isn’t just crossing floors, he’s cartwheeling across them, performing backflips, and landing in whatever political camp has the softest landing and the brightest spotlight.

Stay tuned. With Makebi, the plot always thickens… even when the ice doesn’t melt.-ZWD

No politician will solve the Load shedding crisis,  let them not lie to you when campaigning
– Says Comedian Ken Dumbo

THE TRUTH ABOUT LOAD SHEDDING IN ZAMBIA … ‼️‼️

….and why you shouldn’t believe those who claim it will end when they win in 2026.
——————————————————————————-

Load shedding has affected all of us, everyone including those in charge of leading us… no one has been exempted…..BUT to say when some people win , they will bring a stop  to load shedding is a lie that we should never believe ever again….. PEOPLE NEED TO BE SINCERE AS THEY CAMPAIGN TO BE ELECTED IN THESE POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY…. NO SWEET TALKING ‼️‼️

As a person who had honest  conversations with the engineers at Kariba North Bank…. I can’t be moved by such a declaration, in fact anyone who says the moment they win .. load shedding will end doesn’t know what they are talking about…

By the way, even the UPND underestimated the power crisis issue when they were in opposition, they thought PF were just being reckless until they found out the real problems and realized we are in deep eish 

The power crisis we are facing can’t be sorted just by someone winning power, it needs serious planning and investment which most governments have been avoiding because of the huge expenses that this investment would cost.

Taking the words of one engineer that I had a conversation with at Kariba North Bank, For the longest time as a country, we have relied on the Kariba Dam for hydropower generation, while at the time of it’s launch the population of the country was only about 4 million, now the population has risen to about 21 million with so many industries and houses that have been connected to the national grid overtime. Yet the production of power has even reduced due to the water levels in the dam, making it impossible to give us 100% power 24/7. In short, the demand has gone high, while the supply remains very low.

To deal with this load shedding as a country, we need another infrastructure like the Kariba Dam project even two of it  if it were possible which may take close to between 7 – 10 years for us to build.

Now that’s the truth that none of the politicians will tell you…. They want you to believe they can sort out the power issue in a twinkling of an eye ️…. IT’S IMPOSSIBLE ‼️‼️

Yes the President could have promised the Dubai plan, but maybe ….just maybe he didn’t put it in context that the problems of Dubai are far from the problems of Zambia 

And that’s why at this time , anyone who tells you the moment they are voted in power, the load shedding issue will come to an end is doing nothing BUT LYING 拉 DON’T BELIEVE THEM.

For now those who can, please  get alternative sources of energy like solar , Gensets etc… otherwise this issue is not ending anytime soon.

You can choose not to get this advice and continue being lied to. The Choice is really yours.

Yours fellow Zambian,

Kazungo Emmanuel Ndeya

Makebi Zulu is a man to fear…he has a hard heart- Laura Miti

A MAN TO FEAR

Laura Miti has raised a sharp warning about the conduct of Makebi Zulu, and the concern is not small.

She points to the decision to leave the former President’s body in another country, unburied, even after taking charge of it and speaking loudly about it. She argues that this choice was not about respect or duty, but about turning a man’s remains into a stage for personal ambition.

Her question is simple. If someone can do that for political gain, what else is he prepared to do when the moment suits him?

To her, this is not ordinary political behaviour. It signals a stubborn heart and a level of ambition that brushes aside compassion.

In her words, Makebi Zulu is a man to fear.

Laura Miti writes:

The arrogance, callousness, and entitlement required to  leave the body of someone you claim to love, in another country, whose burial you have prevented so that you can use as launchpad for.something you crave  – that is the kind of character to be feared.

The question for me is what can’t such a man do, when it suits his personal interests?

Me thinks Makebi Zulu is a man to fear.

Leaving the body of the former President that he had had custody of, and said all manner of things over, unburied, then using it to launch his own presidential campaign – ehhhh‍♀️.

Hmmm, man has a hard heart!

LUBINDA INSISTS PF CONVENTION WILL PROCEED DESPITE CHABINGA’S DIRECTIVE

‎LUBINDA INSISTS PF CONVENTION WILL PROCEED DESPITE CHABINGA’S DIRECTIVE.

‎By Kwalombota Mwanangombe

‎Patriotic Front (PF) faction Acting President Given Lubinda has insisted that the party will proceed with its planned convention despite a directive from another faction leader, PF President Robert Chabinga, who announced that no convention will be held this year.

‎Mr. Lubinda says the former ruling party will move forward with its convention, arguing that the PF does not reside in the Registrar of Societies, but in the hearts and commitment of its members.

‎Speaking in Livingstone, Mr. Lubinda emphasized that the party remains rooted among the people and their daily challenges, adding that not even Mr. Chabinga will stop him or the party from convening.

‎On Thursday, 13th November 2025, Mr. Chabinga stated that the PF will not hold a convention this year, noting that the last one was held in 2023 and the next is scheduled for 2027.

THE PF SECRETARIAT ATTACK IS A DIRECT RESULT OF RECKLESS POLITICAL CONDUCT

Simon Mulenga Mwila writes

The violent attack on the PF Secretariat is a sad confirmation of what some of us have been warning about for months. When political leaders fail to set the right tone, chaos fills the vacuum. When those in power speak carelessly or allow undisciplined voices to dominate the national space, their cadres begin to act without restraint.

Today the UPND has admitted responsibility for the attack that happened yesterday, promising to discipline the youths involved. While that acknowledgment is important, it does not erase the fact that this violence was predictable and preventable. The warning signs have been clear for a long time.

I have repeatedly said that the words of the President matter. The tone of leadership matters. When national guidance is inconsistent, when emotions replace reason, when communication becomes reactionary instead of thoughtful, cadres interpret that as a license to behave however they wish. It becomes a free-for-all.

This is exactly how we arrive at a point where youths feel bold enough to storm a political party’s secretariat in broad daylight. It is how intolerance grows. It is how democracy erodes.

The PF Secretariat attack is not just an incident. It is a mirror reflecting a deeper national problem: a ruling party that has struggled to manage its own internal messaging, discipline and political culture. When leadership fails to take early control, the streets take over.

Zambians are tired of lawlessness. They rejected it before and they will reject it again, regardless of which party is in power. Citizens want peace, development and predictable leadership. They want a government that listens, not one that tolerates intimidation as a style of politics.

It is not enough for UPND to simply say “we will punish those involved.” They must ask themselves why cadres felt empowered to act violently in the first place. What environment has been created? What tone has been set? What example is being followed?

At a time when the country is facing economic pressure, high cost of living and social frustration, the last thing Zambia needs is politically motivated violence. We need calm heads. We need leadership that unites. We need institutions that restore confidence..

This is the moment for President Hakainde Hichilema to pause, reflect and reset the tone of national engagement. The country cannot afford a climate where cadres believe they are above the law. Zambia belongs to all of us, and no party has the right to intimidate others.

Violence has no place in this country. Not now. Not ever. 
