America’s Secret Soft-Kill Weapon Rumored in Iran Rescue Mission

America’s Secret Soft-Kill Weapon Rumored in Iran Rescue Mission

Word is spreading fast about a rumored breakthrough in U.S. military technology during the intense search for a downed F-15E pilot inside Iran. Social media buzz claims American forces rolled out advanced electronic warfare gear mounted on Black Hawk helicopters that can cripple enemy systems without firing a shot. Supporters call it a game-changer that was supposedly kept under wraps for another decade.

The chatter describes this so-called soft-kill system as a silent battlefield dominator. Rumors say it instantly jams all enemy communications, drops drones out of the sky like stones, and blinds radars and sensors across a wide area. No explosions, no bullets—just total electronic blackout that leaves adversaries deaf, dumb, and blind in seconds. Defenders of strong American power see this as proof our military stays several steps ahead, protecting our troops while sending a clear message to regimes like Iran’s.

This talk emerged amid the chaotic rescue operation after Iranian forces shot down the F-15E Strike Eagle. U.S. teams pushed deep into hostile territory to pull out the crew, with Black Hawks playing a key role in the high-risk effort. Some online voices tie the rumored EW deployment directly to that mission, suggesting it helped shield our forces from worse losses even as reports confirm at least one Black Hawk took hits from Iranian fire.

Skeptics push back hard, noting electronic warfare has been a standard U.S. tool for years, with everything from Navy Growlers to ground jammers already in the fight.

No major Pentagon confirmation or mainstream defense outlet has backed the specific Black Hawk super-weapon story, and critics call it classic hype mixing real tactics with exaggeration. Iran has its own jamming tricks too, as seen in recent GPS disruptions across the region.

Still, the rumor taps into a deeper truth: America’s fighting forces refuse to play by the enemy’s rules. Whether this exact system is real or not, the Pentagon has long invested in non-kinetic options to win without unnecessary bloodshed.

Trump Forces Iran Back to the Table: 45-Day Ceasefire Talks Could End the War on America’s Terms

BREAKING: Trump Forces Iran Back to the Table: 45-Day Ceasefire Talks Could End the War on America’s Terms

President Trump is once again showing strong leadership as the United States and Iran discuss a potential 45-day ceasefire that could pave the way to permanently ending their conflict.

According to Axios, the talks center on Iran reopening the vital Strait of Hormuz in exchange for a truce. This comes after weeks of decisive U.S. military strikes that have battered Iran’s capabilities and disrupted its aggression across the region.

Skeptics on both sides doubt a quick breakthrough, given Iran’s history of delay tactics, proxy warfare, and broken promises. Yet Trump’s no-nonsense approach—max pressure followed by realistic diplomacy—has put Tehran on the defensive and opened a narrow window for real concessions.

If Iran complies and opens the strait, it could mark a major win: stabilized energy markets, weakened terror sponsors, and proof that strength, not endless negotiation, brings results. Anything less, and the strikes continue until America’s objectives are fully met.

BREAKING: Sponsors DROP Nazi-sympathizing Ye’s festival, due to activist pressure. Now the entire fest is on the brink of collapse, and may soon get cancelled.

Pressure is rapidly building to remove Ye (Kanye West) from his headline slot at London’s Wireless Festival, and it is no longer just public anger. The UK Prime Minister has now stepped in, calling the booking deeply concerning as outrage spreads across the country.

Pepsi has already pulled its lead sponsorship from the July event, despite the festival being heavily promoted under its name. Other major sponsors like Budweiser and PayPal are now being pushed to follow.

Ye was set to perform for roughly 150,000 people across three nights. But that plan is colliding with his record of antisemitic remarks, open admiration for Adolf Hitler, and the release of a song titled Heil Hitler. Even after issuing an apology in January, the damage has not faded.

Scientists Rewind Human Skin Cells by 30 Years in Lab Breakthrough

Scientists Rewind Human Skin Cells by 30 Years in Lab Breakthrough

British researchers at the Babraham Institute took skin cells from a 53-year-old donor and exposed them briefly to reprogramming factors. After just 13 days, the cells’ epigenetic markers and gene activity matched those of 23-year-old cells. The fibroblasts kept their identity as skin cells and showed improved collagen production and wound healing.

This was no full stem cell reset. It was a controlled, partial tweak that restored youthful function without erasing what the cells were meant to do

Aging isn’t some iron law of time passing. It’s cellular systems drifting out of balance, accumulating errors, and losing repair efficiency. This experiment shows that drift can be pushed back, at least in a dish.

The implications are straightforward. If we can restore order at the cellular level, it challenges the defeatist view that decline is inevitable. Healthier tissues, fewer age-related breakdowns, and more productive years aren’t science fiction; they’re targets for serious work.

Caveats matter. This is lab work on isolated cells from 2022, not a whole-body treatment or fountain of youth pill. Scaling to humans will take time, rigorous testing, and safety checks. Overhype risks disappointment, but dismissing real progress helps no one.

The core lesson is conservative by nature: biology has built-in resilience. With disciplined science, we can support the body’s own mechanisms instead of surrendering to entropy. Time marches on, but our cells don’t have to surrender quietly.

Patrick Tembo Banda asserts sole authority over UPND, halts internal elections

A man identifying himself as Patrick Tembo Banda has declared himself the sole authority over the United Party for National Development, halted all internal electoral processes, and issued a fresh appointment to reinforce his claim, escalating a dispute over leadership within the ruling party.

The statement was delivered in a recorded address released on April 4, 2026, in which Banda introduced himself as interim president and positioned his authority as both historical and constitutional. He said his move followed public scrutiny surrounding his earlier declaration and insisted his position remains unchanged.

Banda described himself as the only surviving founding member of the party and claimed authorship of its formation. He said the UPND could not be discussed without reference to his role, asserting that the party was his creation and remains under his authority. He challenged anyone disputing his claim to present themselves as founders, stating none would meet that threshold.

He identified individuals he said formed the original leadership structure, naming Anderson Mazoka as founding president, alongside figures he described as early office bearers including Greyson Ndhlovu, Justin Mweene, and Maxwell Lufungulwa. Banda placed himself within that group, stating the party was anchored on what he termed four pillars and positioning himself as central to that foundation.

Banda said his authority extends to all party activities, declaring that any actions taken outside his approval are invalid. He stated that internal processes currently being circulated, including notices of intra-party elections and a general assembly, were illegal. He directed members to disregard such notices and warned individuals presenting themselves as party leaders to halt their activities pending his authorization.

He framed the directives as binding, stating that instructions issued from the presidency must be treated as authoritative. He added that no general conference or internal election process could proceed without his approval, reinforcing his position that he alone has the mandate to convene such structures.

Banda also addressed backlash linked to his earlier statement, defending its legality and stating it was grounded in the party constitution and his authority as founder. He said he stood by the statement in full and maintained that it did not violate any law, asserting instead that it reflected the law as he interprets it.

The address extended to criticism of actions taken against media institutions that carried his remarks. Banda said journalists had a duty to publish material presented to them and should not be targeted over content disputes. He stated that any legal concerns should be directed at him personally rather than media houses, condemning what he described as intimidation of journalists.

He said the reaction against media platforms was unjustified and called for journalists to be allowed to operate freely. He described them as stakeholders in national development and said they should not face threats in the course of their work.

Banda further disclosed that he had begun forming an interim leadership structure, stating that he had received significant interest from individuals seeking to be part of it. He said he would begin announcing appointments, starting with the position of secretary general.

He named Charles Longwe as interim secretary general, describing the role as central to administrative coordination within the party. The appointment aligns with a separate letter dated April 1, 2026, in which Banda formally assigns Longwe responsibilities including managing party communication, coordinating internal structures, and preparing for electoral processes.

Supporting his claim, Banda has also circulated historical documents, including minutes from a December 7, 1998 executive committee meeting of the UPND. The document records early party leadership structures and outlines resolutions relating to the appointment of Anderson Mazoka as party president, forming part of Banda’s argument that authority flows from the founding framework.

The emergence of both the address and supporting documents introduces competing interpretations of authority within the party, with Banda grounding his claim in historical formation and constitutional positioning while directing present-day operations.

The dispute unfolds as political parties prepare internal structures ahead of the August 13, 2026 general election, where leadership clarity remains central to candidate selection and mobilisation.

HOLD THE BIRD YOU HAVE IN YOUR HANDS, SAYS NKOMBO

Mazabuka Central Member of Parliament Gary Nkombo has urged residents to believe in their current leadership as the general elections approach.

Speaking during a church service at Kamwala Seventh Day Adventist Church, Nkombo appealed to Mazabuka residents to hold the bird they have in their hands, not the flying bird.

He emphasised that the Mazabuka Central parliamentary seat belongs to the people, and it is up to the constituents to decide its future.

Nkombo maintained that he will not respond to calls from individuals urging him to step down as MP, stating that he will remain in his seat until the people no longer want him.

Nkombo and other long-serving MPs have come under heavy criticism from some quarters, with calls for them not to re-contest their seats.

THE CRISIS WITHIN: PARALLEL STRUCTURES UNDERMINING UPND’S UNITY AND PROGRESS

THE CRISIS WITHIN: PARALLEL STRUCTURES UNDERMINING UPND’S UNITY AND PROGRESS

By Olden Hamabibi (Governance Analyst)

For time months now, the United Party for National Development (UPND) has found itself embroiled in a troubling internal crisis that threatens to undermine the very foundations of the party.

The emergence of parallel party structures, spearheaded by certain councilors and Members of Parliament (MPs), has raised serious concerns about loyalty, unity, and the overall direction of the party.

This situation not only jeopardizes the progress made under the leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema (HH) but also poses a significant challenge to the party’s core values of love, unity, and peace among its officials.

The Rise of Parallel Structures.

The formation of parallel party structures is a phenomenon that often arises in political organizations, particularly when factions within the party feel marginalized or dissatisfied with the current leadership. In the case of UPND, the actions of some councilors and MPs appear to be a direct challenge to President Hichilema’s authority and vision for the party.

By creating alternative power centers, these individuals are not only undermining the party’s cohesion but also sowing seeds of discord among officials who have long fought for a united front.

This internal strife is particularly concerning as the party gears up for the 2026 elections. The desire to win adoption and secure positions of influence has led some members to prioritize personal ambitions over the collective goals of the party.

Such behavior is reminiscent of a coup d’état, albeit one that is executed through subterfuge rather than overt rebellion. The implications of this are profound, as it threatens to fracture the party’s unity and dilute its message to the electorate.

The ongoing turmoil within UPND has not gone unnoticed by party officials. Many are disheartened by the actions of their colleagues, feeling that the spirit of collaboration and mutual respect that once defined the party is being eroded.

The lack of a unified front can lead to confusion among supporters and may alienate potential voters who are looking for a party that embodies strength and solidarity.

Moreover, the existence of parallel structures can create an environment of mistrust and suspicion among party members. Officials may begin to question the loyalty of their peers, leading to a toxic atmosphere that stifles creativity and collaboration.

This is particularly detrimental in a political landscape where unity is paramount for success. The UPND must address these issues head-on to restore faith among its members and reaffirm its commitment to the principles that brought them together in the first place.

To navigate this crisis, UPND leadership must take decisive action. First and foremost, it is essential to engage in open dialogue with all party members, including those who have formed parallel structures.

Understanding their grievances and addressing their concerns can help to mend the rifts that have developed within the party. Additionally, fostering a culture of inclusivity and transparency will be crucial in rebuilding trust among officials.

Furthermore, the party must reaffirm its commitment to its core values of love, unity, and peace. This can be achieved through team-building initiatives, workshops, and regular communication that emphasizes the importance of working together towards common goals.

By reinforcing these principles, UPND can create a more cohesive and resilient organization that is better equipped to face the challenges ahead.

The current situation within UPND serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of political unity. The emergence of parallel party structures poses a significant threat to the party’s progress and its ability to present a united front in the lead-up to the 2026 elections.

It is imperative for party leadership to address these issues promptly and effectively, fostering an environment of collaboration and mutual respect. Only then can UPND hope to regain its strength and continue its mission of serving the Zambian people with integrity and purpose.

When Knowledge Cannot Solve Reality: What the UNZA Sewer Tragedy Reveals About Zambia’s Education System

When Knowledge Cannot Solve Reality: What the UNZA Sewer Tragedy Reveals About Zambia’s Education System

By Dr David Phiri (shall we save Zambia)

The recent tragic death of a student at the University of Zambia (UNZA), after falling into a sewer system, is not just an isolated incident. It is a national alarm bell—one that exposes deeper structural failures within Zambia’s education system, particularly in how we train our engineers.

This is not merely a story about poor sanitation. It is a story about a system where knowledge exists, but solutions do not.

At the heart of this tragedy lies a glaring sanitation crisis. UNZA hostels are reportedly facing severe challenges due to a blocked sewer line—an issue that has persisted long enough to become life-threatening.

Even more concerning is the limited human resource available to respond to such a crisis. With a student population of approximately 45,000, the university reportedly has fewer than ten maintenance engineers. This imbalance is not only unsustainable—it is dangerous.

To make matters worse, there are indications that the institution lacks proper documentation of its own infrastructure. The inability to trace and map sewer lines has reportedly forced authorities to call upon former maintenance staff to assist in identifying the system layout. In a modern institution of higher learning, such a situation is nothing short of alarming.

What makes this situation deeply troubling is not just the failure itself, but where it is happening.

UNZA is one of Zambia’s leading institutions for engineering education. It trains civil engineers, mechanical engineers, environmental specialists, and water and sanitation experts—the very professionals expected to solve problems like this.

Even more striking is the fact that many students on campus already possess prior technical qualifications. Some have diplomas in plumbing, water engineering, and related fields. In essence, the university is sitting on a vast pool of human capital.

Yet, despite this, the problem remains unresolved.

This raises a fundamental question: What is the value of education if it cannot solve the problems in our immediate environment?

This is not simply about UNZA. It reflects a broader issue within Zambia’s education system—a disconnect between theory and practice.

In other fields, such a gap would be unthinkable. Consider the model of a teaching hospital. Even with a limited number of fully qualified doctors, medical students actively participate in patient care. They diagnose, manage, and stabilize patients under supervision. Their learning is practical, immediate, and life-impacting.

Why should engineering be any different?

Even without full professional certification, engineering students can contribute meaningfully—whether through diagnostics, temporary fixes, system mapping, or preventive maintenance strategies. Waiting for a handful of qualified engineers while thousands of capable students remain passive observers represents a failure of imagination and system design.

The situation forces us to confront an uncomfortable question: Are we producing competent engineers, or merely graduates?

If engineering students cannot engage with and help resolve real-life challenges within their own campus, then the system is not preparing them adequately for the demands of the real world.

Education should not culminate at graduation—it should demonstrate its value long before that moment.

If Zambia is to avoid similar tragedies and build a truly functional education system, a shift toward competence-based learning is essential.

Students must be equipped with hands-on abilities alongside theoretical knowledge. Engineering education should emphasize real-world problem-solving from the earliest stages of training.

Long vacations should not be idle periods. They should be structured opportunities for skill acquisition. Civil engineering students should gain experience in bricklaying, plumbing, and construction. Mechanical students should engage in workshops. Learning must extend beyond the classroom.

Students must also be trained to serve while they learn. Universities should create systems where students actively contribute to solving institutional and community problems. Service should not be optional—it should be foundational.

The loss of a student at UNZA is a painful reminder of what is at stake when systems fail. But it also presents an opportunity—an opportunity to rethink, redesign, and rebuild our approach to education.

A functional education system is not measured by the number of graduates it produces, but by the problems its learners can solve.

Until Zambia bridges the gap between knowledge and application, we risk producing generations of educated individuals who are unable to transform the realities around them.

FAZ STATES POSITION ON ZESCO UNITED MATTER REGARDING ABSA CUP PARTICIPATION

FAZ STATES POSITION ON ZESCO UNITED MATTER REGARDING ABSA CUP PARTICIPATION

Press Statement
(For Immediate Release)
Football Association of Zambia
Football House, Lusaka
5th April 2026

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) wishes to clarify developments surrounding the ABSA Cup qualification process and the actions taken involving Zesco United Football Club.

FAZ has noted with serious concern a public statement issued by Zesco United FC which contains several inaccuracies and misrepresentations regarding the sequence of events and the Association’s engagement with the club.

For the benefit of the public and all stakeholders, the correct position is as follows:

1. ABSA Cup Qualification Criteria

Qualification for the ABSA Cup is strictly determined by league standings after the first 17 matches of the first round of the Zambian Premier League (ZPL) season; The top seven teams automatically qualify for ABSA Cup in relation to super division teams.

For the avoidance of doubt, this criterion applies exclusively to matches constituting the first round only. Any matches that fall outside the first round even if played during the same period for whatever reason are not considered for ABSA Cup qualification.

Any game not belonging to the first round is discounted. This principle has been consistently applied since the inception of the competition when it was known as the Barclays Cup. The rules cannot be altered midstream to suit Zesco United or indeed any other club for that matter.

FAZ remains committed to respecting the competition rules and the integrity of the sponsors by strictly adhering to well laid down, established and entrenched regulations.

2. Outstanding Fixture Involving Zesco United FC

Zesco United did not fulfill their Week 2 fixture against Mutondo Stars as scheduled in the league calendar for this season. This fixture was later rearranged and played as a Week 19 fixture with Zesco United playing as hosts, covering match officiating costs and receiving gate takings. All records to that effect are readily available and all the parties namely Zesco United, ZPL and FAZ are in possession of such records as incontrovertible proof of this fact.

The delay of this fixture was solely attributable to Zesco United and had a direct impact on the integrity of the standings at the point of determining ABSA Cup qualification. So, there must be no shift of blaming innocent parties and people in the process. Rules and written records do not lie and they speak for themselves for the benefit of all football and other stakeholders.

3. Initial Communication Error

Zesco United were mistakenly informed that they had qualified for the ABSA Cup after playing against Zanaco FC. However, upon review of the fixtures, and guided by the ABSA Cup qualification rules and regulations, it was discovered that the club had an outstanding Week 2 fixture which had a direct bearing on ABSA Cup qualification.

FAZ then formally and promptly communicated this correction to the club. The final determination of qualification could only be based on complete and accurate match results and not the earlier communication which was issued in error.

It is important to note that correcting such administrative errors is not new or unprecedented. A similar correction was made in the past involving Lusaka Dynamos FC and Green Eagles FC after an initial error was identified.

Therefore, there is nothing irregular or sinister about rectifying an error, particularly in this case where the issue was identified before the ABSA Cup draws were conducted and indeed even before Zesco United played their Week 2 fixture against Mutondo Stars. It is thus unwise for any reasonable person to politic and create confusion in our beautiful game of football over a straight forward matter.

4. Subsequent Correspondence

On 4th March, 2026, Zesco United wrote to FAZ expressing concerns about the above decision and the Association responded, clarifying that their earlier qualification status had been issued in error. There was no disqualification whatsoever and we advise all stakeholders to use certain terms wisely and correctly.

On 19th March, 2026, Zesco United wrote again. FAZ responded again by advising the club to follow the laid-down statutory procedures by submitting their matter to the appropriate existing judicial bodies, such as the Disciplinary Committee or the Ethics Committee, as required before escalating the matter to the FAZ Arbitration Tribunal.

FAZ exists to help its members and members must respect the statutes once guided as they made an undertaking to abide by that when being admitted as members. The records for this undertaking by all member clubs including Zesco United are readily available and so we cannot depart from such statutory undertakings and begin to ignore the same in midst to advantage ourselves.

Despite this clear guidance, Zesco United did not bother to adhere to the advice and guidance given. It is imperative to commence and exhaust internal judicial mechanisms and processes provided for under football rule and regulations.

5. Determination of Qualification

Following the fulfillment of the outstanding fixture, Zesco United lost the match against Mutondo Stars. Consequently, FC MUZA who were already occupying the seventh position automatically qualified for ABSA Cup. Qualification was purely determined strictly on sporting merit based on completed and properly classified fixtures as records can show.

6. Court Action by Zesco United FC

On 1st April, 2026, around 16:00 hours; shortly before close of business, FAZ received court documents from Zesco United’s legal representatives indicating that the matter was scheduled for hearing the following day, 2nd April 2026.

This extremely short notice did not provide FAZ with adequate time to meaningfully prepare or engage legal counsel. Notwithstanding these constraints, FAZ responded in writing to the lawyers, requesting for additional time to seek legal advice and adequately attend to the matter.

Legal experts have since advised that the applicable rules governing the duration and service of court process were not complied with to justify proceeding with the matter ex – parte. Accordingly, appropriate legal applications to challenge the court decision will be filed.

FAZ further reiterates that taking disputes to ordinary courts without invoking or indeed exhausting internal football dispute resolution mechanisms contravenes football statutes and may attract sanctions, including suspension or expulsion. FIFA has been very consistent on this point.

7. Lusaka High Court Ruling

FAZ wishes to emphasise that all member clubs are bound by the statutes and regulations of the Association, as well as those of CAF and FIFA which strictly prohibit recourse to ordinary courts in football-related disputes. Once internal judicial mechanisms are exhausted, the next step is to go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) for any party who is dissatisfied.

FAZ remains committed to upholding integrity, fairness, and adherence to established procedures in the administration of the game. The rule of law so demands.

We urge all stakeholders and the general public to rely on verified information from FAZ and avoid being misled by inaccurate statements coming from one side and based on false premises, innuendos and half truths. It is always important for people to only comment after hearing both sides of the story instead of relying on a one – sided story.

FAZ will continue to engage relevant parties to ensure that this matter is resolved in accordance with football regulations. The rules and regulations will always be applied fairly without segregation and /or discrimination whatsoever; whenever need arises. This will always be the cornerstone of football administration from FAZ’s point of view.

FAZ would like to thank the sponsors ABSA Bank for having been with us for quite a long time. We do not take their support for granted. We forever cherish this partnership.

President Trump tells Iran “open the f***** Strait of Hormuz, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in hell.”

BREAKING: President Trump tells Iran “open the f***** Strait of Hormuz, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in hell.”

President Trump just unloaded on the Iranian regime with a no-holds-barred warning: reopen the Strait of Hormuz immediately or watch your power plants and bridges get turned to rubble.

In a fiery Truth Social post, Trump declared Tuesday “Power Plant Day and Bridge Day” in Iran, vowing there will be nothing like it if the mullahs keep choking the vital waterway. “Open the f***** Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH!” he wrote, capping it with a pointed “Praise be to Allah.”

This is classic Trump: straight talk, zero tolerance for weakness, and a clear message that America will not let radical Islamists hold the world’s oil lifeline hostage. The Strait of Hormuz moves about 20 percent of global oil trade. Iran’s effective blockade has already spiked energy prices and threatened economies worldwide. Enough is enough.

Trump’s earlier ultimatums gave Iran every chance to stand down and make a deal. Instead, they’ve doubled down with threats and disruption.

Now the clock is ticking. If Tehran refuses to free navigation, U.S. forces stand ready to hit critical infrastructure hard, starting with the biggest targets.

Iran’s regime has a simple choice: open the strait and survive, or keep playing games and lose everything. The ball is in their court, but time is almost up.

Details about the rescue op for the U.S. Weapon Systems Officer, via a U.S. military official:

“The mountain top area on the left is where the WSO was hiding (he ejected 5ish miles northwest of there). The right area is the makeshift landing strip where they landed 2 C-130s and had 4 MH-6 Little Birds.

“One Little Bird flew to that mountain top area and rescued the WSO and brought him back to the landing strip. And of course the two C-130s’ nose gears got stuck in the dirt. So after a few hours they had to bring in three AFSOC Dash-8s to fly out the rescued WSO and the 100 or so personnel involved in the op.”

“The op basically cost $300 million because they had to abandon the two AFSOC C-130s and the four MH-6 Little Birds. Then the U.S. Air Force had to use multiple bombs to blow up all the aircraft they abandoned at that airstrip. And the Iranians shot down 2 MQ-9s Reaper drones.

“Luckily the U.S. suffered no casualties and we had to use multiple bombs and missiles to blow up IRGC vehicles that tried to drive up the mountain and also those that tried to drive to the airstrip.”

Donald Trump says U.S sent weapons to Iranian citizens via Kurdish groups

Donald Trump says U.S sent weapons to Iranian citizens via Kurdish groups

U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States earlier this year sent weapons to Iranian protesters through Kurdish intermediaries.

Speaking to Fox News, Trump said the intention was to support unrest inside Iran, but suggested the plan may not have gone as intended.

According to Trump, the weapons were allegedly retained by Kurdish groups instead of reaching the intended recipients among Iranian civilians.

The remarks are likely to raise serious geopolitical concerns, as any confirmed transfer of weapons into Iran could escalate tensions in an already volatile region and draw international scrutiny.

CIA Deception Helped Save Stranded U.S. Airman in Iran

BREAKING: CIA Deception Helped Save Stranded U.S. Airman in Iran

A downed F-15 crew member survived 36 hours behind enemy lines in Iran, hiding in rugged mountain terrain after his jet was shot down.

To buy critical time, the CIA launched a covert deception campaign—spreading false intelligence inside Iran that the airman had already been recovered and was being moved out of the country. The disinformation confused Iranian forces and disrupted their search efforts.

While the airman evaded capture, U.S. intelligence pinpointed his location, enabling a high-risk special operations mission. The extraction triggered a firefight with Iranian forces, but U.S. troops ultimately secured the airman and brought him to safety.

Alone and wounded, concealed in a narrow mountain crevice deep inside Iran, the American airman relied on one mission: survive and evade.

For over 24 hours, the weapons systems officer—after his F-15E Strike Eagle was shot down—successfully eluded advancing Iranian forces closing in on his position. At one point, he pushed through harsh, unforgiving terrain to reach a ridgeline nearly 7,000 feet above sea level, armed with little more than a pistol, a communication device, and a tracking beacon.

TRUMP READY TO UNLEASH HELL ON IRAN: OVERWHELMING FORCE IF THEY DON’T OPEN THE STRAIT

TRUMP READY TO UNLEASH HELL ON IRAN: OVERWHELMING FORCE IF THEY DON’T OPEN THE STRAIT

President Donald Trump is done playing games with the terrorist regime in Tehran. After a direct conversation with the President, Sen. Lindsey Graham made it crystal clear: America will use overwhelming military force if Iran keeps blocking the Strait of Hormuz and refuses a diplomatic solution that meets our military objectives.

Graham posted: “After speaking with President Trump this morning, I am completely convinced that he will use overwhelming military force against the regime if they continue to impede the Strait of Hormuz and refuse a diplomatic solution to achieve our military objectives. If it’s not clear to Iran and others by now that President Trump means what he says then I don’t know when it will ever be. Choose wisely.”

Trump has laid down a firm 48-hour ultimatum: reopen the critical oil shipping lane or face devastating consequences. He’s already warned that “all Hell will reign down” on them if they don’t comply. This comes after U.S. forces crippled Iran’s capabilities through Operation Epic Fury and struck military targets on Kharg Island, Iran’s key oil hub.

The mullahs’ reign of terror is crumbling. They’ve been hit hard, their ability to threaten global energy flows is failing, and Trump is showing the world what real American strength looks like—no more weak appeasement from past administrations. Peace through strength means backing words with action.

Graham added that a massive military operation awaits if Iran chooses poorly, but hopes it ends with a peace deal that stops their aggression once and for all. The message to Iran is simple: open the strait, come to the table, or pay the price. Trump means business, and the regime better listen before it’s too late.

U.S. Intelligence: Iran Using Decoys, Complicating Assessment of Missile Strikes

U.S. Intelligence: Iran Using Decoys, Complicating Assessment of Missile Strikes

U.S. intelligence reports indicate that Iran is deploying significant numbers of decoys, including dummy missile launchers, making it difficult to determine how many actual missile systems have been destroyed in recent U.S. and Israeli strikes.

Analysts are uncertain how many of the apparent launchers hit were genuine versus fakes.

Iran is also rapidly repairing underground missile bunkers and silos, often returning them to operation within hours of being struck, while concealing assets in
caves and bunkers to protect them.

These factors have created challenges in accurately assessing the extent of damage to Iran’s missile capabilities, despite ongoing military operations. Iran retains a significant stockpile of ballistic missiles and mobile launchers, according to the assessments.

Trump Opens Easter Morning With F-Bomb Threat to Iran While Pope Calls for Peace

BREAKING: Trump Opens Easter Morning With F-Bomb Threat to Iran While Pope Calls for Peace

Donald Trump greeted Easter Sunday not with a message of faith or reflection, but with a profanity-laced threat to Iran posted to Truth Social at 8:03 in the morning.

“Open the F–n’ Strait, you crazy b–ds, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH!” Trump wrote, closing the post with “Praise be to Allah” before signing his own name.

The 79-year-old president, who skipped church on the holiest day of the Christian calendar, spent his Easter morning on social media while his schedule listed closed-door “executive time” ahead of a private dinner with Melania Trump.

The unhinged post was the latest in a series of escalating threats over Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, through which roughly a fifth of the world’s oil supply flows. Just days earlier, during his Wednesday night primetime address, Trump had insisted the strait was irrelevant to American energy needs. By Saturday he was threatening to rain hell on Iran over it, though he misspelled “rain” as “reign” in the process.

The contrast with the rest of the Christian world was stark. From the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica, Pope Leo XIV delivered his Easter message calling on world leaders to choose peace over war.

“Let those who have weapons lay them down. Let those who have the power to unleash wars choose peace,” the pope said. “Not a peace imposed by force, but through dialogue.”

One leader spent Easter Sunday threatening to bomb a country into hell. The other asked the world to lay down its weapons. The difference could not have been more clear.

Lungu’s body to clock 1 year in morgue if unburied in 2 months

FORMER President Edgar Lungu’s body could spend one full year in a foreign morgue if he is not buried within the next two months.

Today marks exactly 10 months since Lungu died at a clinic in South Africa on June 5, last year.

His death initially plunged the country into mourning but the burial process later turned into a prolonged legal and family-government standoff.

The drama began when the Lungu family made a sudden U-turn on plans to return his body to Zambia on June 17, 2025, despite the South African Defence Force having prepared to mount a guard of honour.

That decision disrupted the national mourning period declared by President Hakainde Hichilema and left many Zambians confused.

In the days that followed, the family announced plans to privately bury Lungu in South Africa on June 25, 2025.

However, on June 24, just a day before the planned burial, attorney general Mulilo Kabesha obtained a court order from the Pretoria High Court stopping the burial.

Kabesha argued that, as a former president, Lungu should be buried in Zambia with the dignity and honour befitting his office.

The Pretoria High Court agreed to halt the burial and set August 4, 2025 as the hearing date.

In affidavits filed before the court, Lungu’s widow Esther Lungu, her sister in law Bertha, children Tasila, Chiyeso and Dalitso Lungu and Esther’s nephew Charles Phiri said they did not want the body returned to Zambia, claiming that Lungu had made peace with dying in “exile” and did not want President Hichilema anywhere near his body.

According to the family, the former president felt abandoned by government while he was alive.

Government, however, argued that there was no credible evidence showing that Lungu wanted to be buried outside Zambia or that he did not want his successor present at his funeral.

Through court filings, government further maintained that despite political differences, the presidency must be respected and Lungu, like all former heads of state before him deserved a state funeral and burial in Zambia.

On August 8, 2025, a full bench of the Pretoria High Court unanimously ruled that Lungu’s remains should be handed over to the Zambian government for repatriation, a state funeral and burial.

But the Lungu family refused to back down and continued the legal battle.

They then challenged the ruling by appealing directly to the Constitutional Court of South Africa, arguing that the Pretoria High Court had erred in its judgment.

However, on August 26, 2025, the Constitutional Court dismissed the appeal, saying the family could not appeal directly to it and refered the matter back to the Pretoria High Court.

Following that, on September 16, 2025, the Pretoria High Court led by acting judge president Audrey Ledwaba dismissed the family’s application for leave to appeal the earlier ruling.

https://youtu.be/k4V8_2aR27c?si=DC586wDeB0s2x6ov

The family then escalated the matter to the Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein which in December granted the Lungus leave to appeal against the Pretoria High Court ruling that ordered the repatriation of Lungu’s body.

The family has not yet confirmed if it has filed its submissions before the Supreme Court of Appeal.

This stand off makes Lungu the only former African head of state to remain unburied 10 months after his death.

IF THE DEAD COULD SPEAK: A VOICE FROM THE MORGUE WHERE EDGAR CHAGWA LUNGU LIES FOR MONTHS

IF THE DEAD COULD SPEAK: A VOICE FROM THE MORGUE WHERE EDGAR CHAGWA LUNGU LIES FOR MONTHS

By Thandiwe Ketiš Ngoma

If the dead could rise for a moment and speak to the living, perhaps the silence surrounding the fate of Edgar Chagwa Lungu would finally be broken. Perhaps the nation would hear a voice heavy with pain, disappointment, and the quiet dignity of a man who once carried the hopes of millions.

Perhaps that voice would turn directly to President Hakainde Hichilema and say:

“Mr. President, when I left office, I accepted the will of the people. Power had changed hands, as it always does in a democracy. I stepped away from State House knowing that leadership is temporary and that every leader must eventually return to the ordinary life of a citizen.

But what followed was not the dignity normally given to those who once served the nation. I was humiliated and harassed. Day and night, I was called a thief—not only by political opponents, but even by you, Mr. President, and members of your government. Your supporters and cadres hurled insults and threats at me and my family. Some even issued degrading and disturbing remarks, promising humiliation and violence.

And through all of this, Mr. President, you remained silent. Your silence told the nation that you saw nothing wrong with what was happening.

I went quietly into retirement, hoping to live peacefully as a former leader who had handed over power. But even in retirement, you followed me with suspicion and restrictions. Every simple activity of my life was suddenly labelled political. When I went jogging, it was considered political. When I went to church, it was considered political. When I greeted citizens who still respected me, it was considered political. Almost every movement I made was interpreted as a threat to the government.

Instead of allowing a former President to live with dignity, you surrounded my life with constant political hostility.

Then came something even more painful. The Patriotic Front, the party that had entrusted me with leadership and carried the legacy of President Michael Sata, was torn apart. Using state machinery, you sponsored a surrogate to hold what many considered an illegal convention, and that person was suddenly declared the president of the party.

I stood watching in disbelief as the party that had sponsored me to become President of Zambia was being taken over in a manner that was deeply undemocratic. That party was not merely a political platform to me—it was a legacy entrusted to my care by President Sata.

And so I made a difficult decision. I could not remain silent while the house entrusted to me was collapsing. I returned from retirement to defend and rescue the party that had placed its trust in my leadership.

But when I returned to active politics, the Constitution dictated that my retirement benefits would be withdrawn. My benefits were taken away. I was removed from the government payroll. The recognition and security normally given to former Heads of State disappeared. The honour that comes from years of national service seemed to vanish overnight.

So when I travelled to South Africa, I did not travel as a former Head of State supported by the government I once led. I travelled as an ordinary citizen. A man quietly seeking medical care. A man paying his own medical bills. A man relying on his own limited resources while his health slowly failed.

But, Mr. President, there is something else I must tell you. On several occasions, when my health was deteriorating and I needed specialised medical attention, I sought to travel to South Africa. I was not asking for government money. I was not asking for privileges. I was prepared to use my own resources to pay for my medical care like any ordinary citizen.

Yet time and again, your government blocked my attempts to leave the country. The doors were closed before me. Permission was withheld. Even the simple right to seek specialised treatment for my failing health became a struggle.

What threat does a sick man pose to a government? What danger does a man seeking medical care pose to a nation?

Eventually, I had to leave Zambia in a way that clearly made your government uncomfortable. The circumstances of my departure unsettled those in power so much that the airport official who cleared me to travel reportedly lost his job. A man lost his position simply because he allowed another human being to leave the country in search of medical care.

What kind of nation punishes compassion? What kind of leadership criminalizes illness? All I wanted was a chance to fight for my life. All I wanted was access to specialised care. But even that became a struggle.

And so I left my own country, not with the dignity expected of a former Head of State, but with the quiet determination of a man who simply wanted to live.

In those lonely moments of illness, when the body grows weaker and every breath becomes heavier, a man has time to reflect. He remembers the country he served. He remembers the people he once led. And he hopes that even in political rivalry, humanity will still exist.

Because sickness is not political. Pain is not political. Death is not political.

Years ago, when Michael Sata fell ill, his political rival Levy Mwanawasa helped him travel to South Africa for treatment. They were fierce opponents, yet in that moment humanity rose above rivalry. That is what leadership looks like. That is what compassion looks like. That is what it means to recognize the dignity of another human being.

But when my own health began to fail, I waited to see whether that same humanity would appear again. I waited for compassion. I waited for a simple recognition that beyond politics, we are all human beings. Instead, I felt the cold silence of indifference.

As my body grew weaker and the shadow of death moved closer, I began to understand something deeply painful: even in sickness, politics had not left me.

So I spoke to my family with the honesty of a man who knew his time on earth was running out. I told them this: when my time comes, let those who did not stand with me in my suffering stay away from my final journey. If the government offers to grant me a state funeral, I told my family that you, Mr. President, should not preside over it or be anywhere near my remains. This is the last wish I made, and I would love for you to respect it.

A funeral must never become a stage for hypocrisy. If compassion could not be shown when I was alive, then let no one pretend to show it when I am gone. If I needed humanity when my body was failing and hope was fading, and it could not be found, then let there at least be honesty in death.

Let my family mourn in peace. Let my final journey be guided by dignity, not by political spectacle.

For in the end, power fades. Titles disappear. The applause of crowds becomes a distant memory. But humanity—true humanity—is the one thing history never forgets. A man does not need sympathy when he is already in the grave. He needs compassion while he is still breathing.

And if such a voice could truly speak from beyond the grave, it would put President Hakainde Hichilema squarely in the spotlight and ask:

Do you see as other humans see, Mr. President? Do you feel as other humans feel?

Because the dead, the suffering, and the grieving family all watch. They ask: why does a man lie in a morgue for months, denied dignity and rest, while politics and personal ambition take centre stage? Why must the family carry the weight of grief while the powerful argue over the funeral of one who served the nation faithfully?

And now, Mr. President, Zambia asks directly: How long will you allow politics to overshadow humanity? How long will a grieving family be held hostage to ego while a man who served this country lies unburied? If you cannot feel the weight of human suffering, if you cannot see the injustice, then what does leadership mean to you?

Zambia is watching. The people are watching. History is watching. One truth stands unshakable: power without compassion is tyranny. Titles mean nothing if dignity is denied. Politics cannot erase the simple, sacred human need for respect in life and death.

Mr. President, this is your moment of conscience. Will you choose humanity, mercy, and justice—or will you let ambition and ego write the final chapter? The family demands peace. The nation demands dignity. Edgar Chagwa Lungu deserves rest. And the eyes of Zambia will not look away until it is granted.

When a fellow human being was suffering, did we choose humanity—or did we choose politics?

CLERGYMAN CRITICIZES UPND OVER ACCEPTANCE OF FORMER PF OFFICIALS

CLERGYMAN CRITICIZES UPND OVER ACCEPTANCE OF FORMER PF OFFICIALS

By Raphael Mulenga

Ndola-based senior clergy Reverend Chilekwa Mulenga has expressed disappointment over the UPND`s decision to accept members from the opposition Patriotic Front-PF, whom the ruling party had previously described as corrupt and criminal.

Reacting to the defection of several former PF officials to the ruling party, Reverend Mulenga says the development raises serious concerns about consistency and integrity in the country’s political landscape.

Reverend Mulenga has noted that such actions risk eroding public trust, as citizens may begin to question the sincerity of political messaging and commitments made by leaders.

He has further stated that the current trend reflects a deeper problem in Zambia’s politics, where ideology appears to be absent, stating that the lack of clear values and guiding principles among political players is contributing to confusion among voters.

Reverend Mulenga adds that politics devoid of ideology leaves much to be desired, as it becomes difficult for the electorate to distinguish between parties based on policy direction and national interest, calling for a shift in the way politics are conducted in the country.

Efforts to get a comment from UPND National Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa failed by broadcast time as his phone went unanswered.

DECODING HAKAINDE HICHILEMA

By Kellys Kaunda

DECODING HAKAINDE HICHILEMA

Since Zambia will be going to the polls to elect a leader for the next five years, let me try to decode the incumbent.

When I spoke about Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu and declared both of them as fit to be President of Zambia, some of you labeled my articles as more of advocacy than analysis.

Then you went on to ascribe to Hichilema qualities that sounded sophisticated, superior and unique.

You described Makebi Zulu as a novice who doesn’t come anywhere near who Hichilema is.

This is just a word salad devoid of any helpful analytical value. In fact, it’s demeaning in its intentionality.

If you want to use scientifically sound tools for the analysis of human beings to understand what and how they do what they do, you will need an interdisciplinary approach.

You find helpful tools in sociology, political science, communication and psychology.

But more relevant is the latter with a special focus on personality traits, emotional intelligence and social psychology.

To decode Hichilema, you need to look into his background – his childhood, his education, his family life, his professional experience and his political life.

In addition, listen to the recent interviews where he deals with the question of how he acquired his wealth.

In decoding Hichilema, the terminologies with sound analytical values will include emotional intelligence.

It’s a common human trait transfered across every environment where success depends on the support of others.

Hichilema knows how to tune into his own emotions and establish who he is and who he will need to work with to achieve his personal goals.

This is further elaborated in social psychology that helps to explain individuals who understand group dynamics which they then use to help them achieve their objectives and goals in life. And Hichilema has exemplified them in his political life.

There’s something called Generalised Resistance Resources. Every day of our lives, we experience obstacles which we deal with in a variety of ways to get where we want to go

When we stay focused on our goal, as Hichilema did while in the opposition, you build resistance resources which you, unconsciously, deploy every time you face an obstacle.

Because life is full of challenges, human beings share the foregoing values as nature’s survival kit.

These values are transferable – they go with what ever profession or vocation you choose or the circumstances of your life.

To sum up, the same way that all human beings share the same basic biological constitution is the same way they share the same basic psychological constitution.

The supposed uniqueness some of you think Hichilema has over other Presidential hopefuls constitute political constructs that are as baseless as assigning special qualities to someone based on their race.

The point I am making is that the qualities that Hichilema has that led to him becoming President are not a mystery and neither unique to him alone.

Even the guy who pushes a wheelbarrow across the street as he seeks to earn a living has them.

“I AM MARRIED TO ZAMBIA”, NJOBVU PLEDGES DEVELOPMENT OVER ARRESTS

Democratic Union (DU) leader and presidential hopeful Ackim Antony Njobvu has declared that his administration will prioritize national development over direct involvement in arrests, emphasizing institutional independence in the fight against corruption.

Speaking under the campaign theme “#Kim8”, Njobvu said his leadership philosophy is rooted in service and commitment to the country, describing his relationship with Zambia as deeply personal.

“I am married to Zambia and Zambia is my burden,”Njobvu stated. “My assignment is to focus on developing the country and not to arrest people.”

The DU leader stressed that the responsibility to investigate and prosecute corruption cases must remain with established institutions, which he pledged to fully support and strengthen if elected into office.

Njobvu named key agencies including the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), Zambia Police (ZP), Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC), and the Office of the President (OP) as central to the fight against corruption.

“I will adequately fund these institutions and motivate them through good salaries and allowances, and they will do the job for me,” he said.

He added that he has confidence in the professionalism and capacity of these bodies to carry out their mandates without political interference.

“I have no business to come and give instructions to arrest anyone,”Njobvu emphasized.

The aspiring president further highlighted that Zambia faces numerous socio-economic challenges that require urgent attention, suggesting that his administration would focus on economic growth, service delivery, and improving livelihoods.

“Zambia has a lot of challenges which I must attend to,” he said.

Njobvu’s remarks come at a time when governance, corruption, and institutional independence remain key issues in Zambia’s political discourse ahead of the 2026 general elections.

The Democratic Union leader continues to position himself as a reform-oriented candidate, advocating for a governance system where institutions operate independently while leadership focuses on national development priorities.

FORMER AND CURRENT MPS AND MINISTERS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BE PRESIDENTS

By Kellys Kaunda

FORMER AND CURRENT MPS AND MINISTERS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BE PRESIDENTS

Members of Parliament are leaders of their respective constituencies.

They lead by interacting with residents of their respective constituencies.

Through these interactions, MPs identify the needs of the people they lead and represent them in parliament.

They lobby various government leaders and government employees relevant to the needs of their people.

They formulate laws that become the basis of governing the country and the management and distribution of national development resources.

They scrutinize government policies while holding it to account for responsibilities entrusted to it.

To be effective, MPs need to understand the country, know its people, and gain a significant amount of knowledge regarding its resources.

When someone who has served as an MP steps forward and announces their desire and readiness to become President, you can see where their confidence is coming from.

Parliamentary experience exposes one to the most importance aspects of governance and national leadership which are extremely valuable and relevant to the functions of the Presidency.

You can only ignore them if you have personal preferences for individuals you want to support for the office of President.

Whether they are accepted and voted for or not is not a vote against what it means to be an MP. You need to look for an explanation elsewhere.

For those that become Ministers, they are part of the Office of the President.

They are mini Presidents because the office bearer has divided his functions among all of them.

Therefore, every minister – present or past – has tasted the Presidency. He or she has, potentially, what it takes to be President.

So, if someone who has been Minister before steps forward and offer themselves for the Presidency, it’s because they have what it takes to lead at the highest level of national leadership.

https://youtu.be/P_k6zfg16eE?si=0CUI-zcDf15rQelP

In other words, it should not be surprising if, in the current crop of MPs and Ministers in the UPND government, emerge individuals who seek the office of President.

By the same token, it is hardly surprising that both Makebi Zulu and Brian Mundubile are seeking the same office.

They have been political insiders who have had a glimpse of the inside of the political engine room.

They know it’s intricacies and decoded its mysteries. To be in the driving seat, they know the common values – staying power and how to win people’s support.

This is support across Zambia’s various ethnic groupings, gender and age groups.

As Zambia’s political history grows older, more and more of its leaders will be coming from among politicians the majority of whom will have been Councilors, MPs, Ministers and Vice Presidents.

Occasionally, we may have “outsiders” such as trade union leaders,  and businessmen and women seeking and eventually becoming President.

PF PRESIDENT MAKEBI ZULU HAS APPOINTED BRAVE MWEETWA AS NATIONAL YOUTH CHAIRPERSON

PRESIDENT MAKEBI ZULU HAS APPOINTED BRAVE MWEETWA AS NATIONAL YOUTH CHAIRPERSON

Sunday, 05th April 2026

President Makebi Zulu has appointed Member of the Central Committee, Brave Mweetwa as new National Youth Chairperson.

He has also congratulated Mr Mweetwa for the appointment to this key portfolio.

President Zulu has urged Mr. Mweetwa to help mobilize young people, who are the largest demographic group in the electoral process,so that they participate actively in the governance of the country.

He said the young people in Zambia were looking for a focused national leadership that will resolve their concerns regarding youth unemployment, lack of economic opportunity, empowerment and extremely limited educational opportunities, failure to include them in key decision-making processes and he hoped that Mr. Mweetwa could help bridge this gap by mobilizing them to the Party.

He directed Mr. Mweetwa to restore the active participation of youths at all levels in the Party, a hallmark the party was known for.

And President Makebi Zulu has announced that the process of receiving applications for individuals intending to stand as candidates in the upcoming elections as members of parliament, mayors, council chairperson and Councillors, was on-going and the approvals by the Central Committee will be given soon.

He stated that despite the legal hurdles that face the Party, the details of the form of participation in the 2026 general elections will be communicated soon but encouraged candidates to prepare and be ready.

ECZ Clarifies Nomination Fee Timeline as Election Preparations Enter Active Phase

🇿🇲 BRIEFING | ECZ Clarifies Nomination Fee Timeline as Election Preparations Enter Active Phase

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has moved to clarify confusion surrounding the payment of nomination fees for the 2026 general elections, dismissing claims that payments for all candidates are due by 15 April.

In a statement issued on 4 April, the Commission said the date applies only to aspiring presidential candidates who wish to begin the pre-processing of their supporters at provincial centres, describing the measure as administrative rather than procedural.

At its core, the clarification is about process control.

ECZ is attempting to manage the logistics of a complex nomination system, particularly the requirement for presidential candidates to mobilise at least 100 registered voters from each province. Pre-processing, the Commission argues, reduces the burden of transporting large numbers of supporters to Lusaka.

The distinction is important.

Nomination fees for parliamentary, mayoral and councillor candidates will only be payable after the dissolution of Parliament and councils, meaning the electoral calendar remains intact despite early administrative steps for presidential contenders.

The Commission also pushed back against suggestions that the process disadvantages certain candidates or parties, emphasising that similar arrangements were applied in previous elections and are intended to improve efficiency.

With stakeholder engagements scheduled for mid-April, the focus now shifts to implementation.

As the country moves closer to dissolution, the ECZ’s priority appears to be tightening administrative processes while containing misinformation that could undermine confidence in the electoral roadmap.

Inside the Dramatic 48-Hour Rescue Deep in Iran

BREAKING: Inside the Dramatic 48-Hour Rescue Deep in Iran

Both crew members of the downed F-15E Strike Eagle have now been safely recovered and are out of Iranian territory.

Here’s what unfolded:

After the jet was struck Thursday night, both the pilot and weapons systems officer (WSO) ejected. The pilot was recovered quickly, but the WSO remained behind enemy lines.

Relying on SERE training (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape), the WSO evaded capture for 48 hours—moving away from the crash site, taking cover on elevated terrain, and eventually activating an emergency beacon.

Iranian forces launched an aggressive manhunt, reportedly offering a reward for his capture.

The rescue mission that followed was extensive and high-risk:
• U.S. forces engaged in a fierce firefight with Iranian units
• Two U.S. helicopters were hit, with crew members injured
• An A-10 Warthog providing suppressive cover crashed in Kuwait
• Multiple aircraft were destroyed during the operation

Despite sustaining significant injuries, the WSO was successfully extracted and is now safe.

Officials describe the mission as the most complex combat search-and-rescue operation of the war. U.S. special operations forces penetrated deep into Iranian territory, fought their way to the survivor, and executed a contested extraction under fire.

The Pentagon has withheld additional details, citing operational sensitivity.

A tweet from Fox News’ Jennifer Griffin: “According to a senior administration official:

Prior to locating the WSO (Weapons System Officer) and the US military’s daring rescue, the CIA first launched a deception campaign spreading word inside Iran that U.S. forces had already found him and were moving him on the ground for exfiltration out of the country.

While the Iranians were confused and uncertain of what was happening, the Agency used its unique, exquisite capabilities to search for — and find — the American airman. This was the ultimate “needle in a haystack,” but in this case it was a brave American soul inside a mountain crevice, invisible but for CIA’s capabilities.

The CIA immediately shared the WSO’s exact location with the Pentagon and The White House.

The President ordered an immediate rescue mission, which CENTCOM executed with boldness and precision, with CIA continuing to provide real time information.”

CIA launched deception campaign to aid rescue

The CIA also played a crucial role in the rescue operation, CBS reports.

It’s reported the US intelligence agency tracked the airman in a mountain crevice and passed on the airman’s exact location to the Pentagon.

It also engaged in a deception campaign inside Iran. While the rescue attempt was taking place, the agency spread word the airman had already been found and was being extracted from Iran.

CBS, citing a senior White House official, reports Donald Trump ordered an immediate rescue.

Trump later said on Truth Social: “At my direction, the U.S. Military sent dozens of aircraft, armed with the most lethal weapons in the World, to retrieve him. He sustained injuries, but he will be just fine.”

Trump seeks $1.5 trillion for defense spending in 2027 budget

0

US President Donald Trump is seeking $1.5 trillion in defense spending as part of the White House’s fiscal 2027 budget request, a roughly 40 percent increase from 2026 funding levels.

The proposal released Friday, March 3, said a base of $1.1 trillion will be specifically for the Department of Defense, while $350 billion will be requested through Congress’s budget reconciliation process for “critical Administration priorities” lik

The funding request, prepared by White House budget chief Russell Vought, comes as the United States is in the fifth week of its war against Iran. While the president maintains the war will come to an end in the next few weeks, the budget signals an effort for investing in the U.S. military well into the future.

Trump floated the idea of requesting a $1.5 trillion defense budget in January, saying the record-breaking number would be “for the good of the country” and allow the U.S. to “build the ‘Dream Military.’”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the same month the budget would be a “message to the world.”

The proposal requests the Department of Justice get a 13 percent budget increase in 2027 to reflect what it describes as the president’s “continued commitment in delivering these tough on crime policies.”

The budget also sees a cut of 10 percent, or $73 billion, to nondefense spending, which focuses on cutting spending to housing, community, environmental, health care, and other programs the administration has deemed “woke” and by returning some responsibilities to state and local governments.

The budget includes a $10 billion mandatory fund to create the “Presidential Capital Stewardship Program” within the National Park Service.

“Once complete, these projects would improve safety and accessibility, rehabilitate historic buildings and landscapes, and enhance architectural grandeur so that Americans can once again be proud of the Nation’s capital,” the budget says.

The administration has also focused on enhancing aviation safety, especially after the fatal midair collision between an American Airlines flight and a Black Hawk helicopter last year, and added a $481 million increase in funding for the Federal Aviation Administration.

The budget includes repurposing money from the Biden-era Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to bolster the U.S.’s energy dominance, drive critical mineral production, and strengthen nuclear security.

Gianluigi Buffon resigns from his Italy national team role

Ex-Italy goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon, has stepped down from his role with the Italy national football team following the resignation of Gennaro Gattuso as head coach after the national team failed to qualify for a third consecutive World Cup.

“It’s only fair to leave to those who come after me the freedom of selecting who will replace me,” Buffon said. “Representing the national team is an honor and a passion that has embodied me since I was a kid.”

The decision comes in the wake of Italy’s shocking play-off defeat to Bosnia-Herzegovina, where the four-time world champions lost 4-1 on penalties, extending a historic run of not participating at football’s biggest tournament.

Italy have now missed three consecutive World Cups, having also failed to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Italy’s third straight World Cup qualifying disaster means they will go at least 16 years without an appearance at the FIFA championship.

Delta Force Denies Iran a Trophy: C-130 Destroyed on the Ground During Daring Pilot Rescue

Delta Force Denies Iran a Trophy: C-130 Destroyed on the Ground During Daring Pilot Rescue

American warriors pulled off one of the gutsiest rescues in recent memory deep inside hostile Iran, and the full story keeps getting wilder.

An F-15E Strike Eagle got shot down over Iranian territory. One crew member was recovered fast. The second pilot was hunted in rugged mountains while Iranian forces closed in. U.S. special operators, including Delta Force on the ground, went in to finish the job

During the frantic operation, at least one U.S. C-130 transport aircraft — likely an HC-130 variant used for combat search and rescue, refueling, and hauling personnel — landed or got stuck at a remote refueling point inside Iran. With enemy troops bearing down, there was no time to extract the plane safely.

Delta Force did what had to be done: they destroyed the C-130 on the spot to keep sensitive technology, avionics, and any classified gear out of Iranian hands. No trophy for the mullahs. Photos circulating online show the big turboprop sitting vulnerable in arid terrain, followed by a massive smoke plume after the demolition.

To buy precious minutes for the exfil, operators also blew sections of roads, creating chaos and traffic jams that slowed Iranian military response. This was not a textbook mission. It was raw, adaptive special ops work under fire — the kind that separates elite American forces from everyone else.

Mainstream reports already confirmed low-level C-130 activity over southwest Iran during the rescue, with the aircraft refueling helicopters in Iranian airspace while dropping flares to dodge missiles. The ground element and deliberate destruction of the stuck plane add a layer of old-school grit that echoes past high-risk missions but with a much better outcome.

Both pilots are now safe and sound, according to President Trump — the first time in memory two aviators were pulled separately from deep behind enemy lines with zero American casualties. No one left behind. No equipment gifted to the enemy.

Iran is framing the rescue mission as a ‘failure’

The spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has described the mission as a failure.

“The enemy’s desperate efforts to rescue its downed fighter pilot failed thanks to Almighty God’s blessings and divine assistance, as well as the timely actions and joint operations” of Iranian forces,” he said.

It has been reported in the US a fire fight broke out between US and Iranian troops during the operation.

Meanwhile, the IRGC claims Trump had “claimed a special operation to rescue the pilot of a crashed plane in Iran in a post to cover up his heavy defeat”.

Throughout its coverage, Iranian state TV today followed the same narrative and also repeatedly likened the incident to Operation Eagle Claw, the failed 1980 US hostage rescue mission in Tabas, central Iran.

Iran Exempts Iraq from Hormuz Blockade, Calls It a “Brotherly State”

Iran Exempts Iraq from Hormuz Blockade, Calls It a “Brotherly State”

Iran has announced that Iraq will be exempt from all maritime restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz, describing Baghdad as a “brotherly nation” amid escalating regional tensions.

The statement was delivered by a spokesperson from the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, confirming that the ongoing blockade targets only “adversarial states,” while Iraq will be allowed to continue normal oil exports through the strategic waterway.

The move comes after more than five weeks of restricted access to the Strait of Hormuz, imposed by Iran in response to military actions by the United States and Israel—actions that have already sent global energy prices sharply higher.

From a strategic standpoint, the exemption provides a critical lifeline to Iraq’s economy, which depends heavily on crude oil exports via southern ports such as Basra, all of which rely on access through the strait. The decision is also seen as an effort by Tehran to reinforce regional alliances while isolating U.S. influence among neighboring states

However, risks remain high. U.S. President Donald Trump has reportedly issued a 48-hour ultimatum demanding Iran reopen the strait بالكامل, warning of potential military escalation if the demand is not met.

Despite Iran’s “green light” for Iraq, shipping routes in the region remain under threat from possible confrontation between major naval forces, keeping the situation highly volatile.

Iran Launches Suicide Drone Attack on Kuwait Oil and Gas Facilities

Iran Launches Suicide Drone Attack on Kuwait Oil and Gas Facilities

Iran has reportedly launched one-way attack drones targeting oil and gas production facilities in Kuwait, marking a further escalation in strikes against energy infrastructure in the Gulf.

Initial reports indicate that the drones were directed at key industrial sites linked to energy output, raising concerns over potential disruption to regional supply chains. The scale of damage and any casualties remain unclear at this stage.

There has been no immediate official confirmation from Kuwaiti authorities. If verified, the attack would signal an expansion of drone warfare into critical Gulf energy assets, increasing risks to global energy stability.

Conflicting Reports Emerge Over Fate of U.S. HC-130J Aircraft in Iran

Conflicting Reports Emerge Over Fate of U.S. HC-130J Aircraft in Iran

Conflicting reports have surfaced regarding the fate of two U.S. Air Force HC-130J Combat King II aircraft during operations over southern Isfahan.

Local Iranian media claim that both aircraft were shot down by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces. However, separate reports suggest that U.S. special operations forces were forced to destroy the aircraft themselves after mechanical failures rendered them inoperable during a rescue mission.

According to these accounts, the aircraft experienced engine issues and became stuck on the ground, with landing gear reportedly trapped in soft terrain, preventing takeoff. The decision to destroy them was allegedly made to prevent sensitive technology from falling into Iranian hands.

Additional reports indicate that U.S. commanders have deployed three more HC-130J Combat King II aircraft into the area to extract remaining personnel and complete the evacuation of both crew and rescued pilots.

There has been no official confirmation from U.S. authorities. If verified, the incident would highlight the extreme operational risks and logistical challenges faced during deep rescue missions inside contested territory.
