Republican Senator Rand Paul enrages MAGA world by slamming Donald Trump’s murderous Caribbean strikes, saying that they “go against all of our tradition” as a nation

BREAKING: Republican Senator Rand Paul enrages MAGA world by slamming Donald Trump’s murderous Caribbean strikes, saying that they “go against all of our tradition” as a nation.

And he was just getting warmed up…

“You have to present evidence. So all these people have been blown up without us knowing their name, without any evidence of a crime,” Paul said on NBC News’ “Meet the Press.”

He argued that when the United States kills someone, “you really need to know someone’s name, at least, you have to accuse them of something.”

Trump has failed to provide any of the names of the people he has killed in these strikes and has similarly failed to produce any evidence proving that they are drug smugglers like he claims.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro has alleged that at least one of Trump’s victims was an innocent “lifelong fisherman” named Alejandro Carranza whose boat was damaged and turned off. It appears increasingly likely that Trump is murdering random people with the U.S. military and smearing them as narcotraffickers to excite his base.

“If our policy now is to blow up every ship we suspect or accuse of drug running, that would be a bizarre world in which 25% of the people might be innocent,” Paul said, adding that the boats were “2,000 miles away from us,” meaning that if they were in fact carrying drugs, they were probably headed for somewhere near Venezuela rather than the United States.

“The idea they’re coming here is like, it’s a huge assumption,” said Paul. “You have to present some proof. It is the difference between war and peace. In war, though, you don’t ask people’s name.”

He added that if Trump wants to go to war with Venezuela (as appears increasingly likely) he should go before Congress and formally ask for a declaration of war.

“The president shouldn’t do this by himself,” said Paul.

In truth, the president shouldn’t do this at all. The last thing that America needs is another pointless, evil war.- Occupy Democrats

North West says she would choose her dad Kanye over her mom Kim a thousand time:

“I will choose my daddy over my mum any day, any time. My daddy is my superhero. My dad is always busy, but no matter what, he never forgets to be a father.
He really does everything himself – he cooks for me, takes care of me, and makes sure I’m always safe.

We don’t have nannies, chets, or bodyguards — it’s just us, and love that.

When I used to stay with my mom, there were always people around taking care of things, and she was hardly ever home. I don’t even really know what she does for work.

But my dad? I know he’s a rapper, and when I grow up, I want to be just like him – strong, creative, and loving. I love my dad so much. He’s truly the best dad anyone could ever ask for.”

South Africa declares end to load-shedding crisis

Ramokgopa declares end to load-shedding crisis

Minister of Electricity Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says South Africa has “turned the corner” on the country’s long-standing power crisis, declaring that the days of routine load-shedding are over.

Speaking during the launch of the government’s new Integrated Resource Plan (IRP 2025) in Pretoria on Sunday, Ramokgopa said the focus has now shifted from crisis management to economic growth.

“Now that we have turned the corner on load-shedding, we are addressing the future. Energy ceases to be a crisis it is now a catalyst for growth,” the minister said.

The IRP 2025 outlines a R2.2 trillion investment strategy aimed at expanding South Africa’s energy generation through renewables, gas, and nuclear power. Ramokgopa said the plan is key to ensuring long-term stability in the grid and supporting industrial development.

While optimistic, the minister cautioned that sustaining the current progress requires continued maintenance of Eskom’s generation fleet and investment in transmission infrastructure.

The remarks come after months of consistent electricity supply, with no major load-shedding incidents reported since mid-year, a stark contrast to the rolling blackouts that once crippled the economy.

Ramokgopa’s statement marks a significant shift in tone for government, signalling renewed confidence in the country’s power system after years of uncertainty.

University of Johannesburg distances itself from Calvin Rafadi

University of Johannesburg distances itself from Calvin Rafadi

The University of Johannesburg (UJ) has distanced itself from forensic investigator and part-time research associate Calvin Rafadi following his mention at the Madlanga Commission.

WhatsApp messages presented at the commission suggest Rafadi solicited financial assistance from controversial businessman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, including a message reading, “Ke kopa petrol”, and allegedly provided sensitive police information in exchange for payments.

UJ clarified that Rafadi is not a full-time employee and does not officially represent the institution. A university spokesperson said the distancing is to ensure the university is not associated with any alleged misconduct or corruption, and confirmed Rafadi has resigned.

Rafadi denies the allegations, calling them “fictional narratives” and asserting he will demonstrate his role in assisting law enforcement.

In his upcoming memoir You Thought You Knew, Federline reveals that after their divorce, he received $20,000 a month in child support and another $20,000 in alimony for half the length of their two-year marriage.

He claims raising their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, in Los Angeles — with security and a lifestyle matching their pop-star mom’s — cost far more than people think. “The money didn’t stretch as far as you’d imagine,” he wrote, adding that expenses “easily ran over $40,000 a month.”

takeover

Michael Randrianirina was sworn in as President on Friday, days after taking control in the wake of youth-led protests that forced out his predecessor.

Explaining his choice of Rajaonarivelo as Prime Minister, the President cited his experience and “connections with the international organisations that work with us”.

Ex-leader Andry Rajoelina, whom law-makers impeached after he fled abroad last weekend, has condemned the army takeover and refused to step down while in exile, despite defections in the security forces and the High Constitutional Court ratifying the takeover within hours of it happening.

Chip Roy Suggests ‘Nuclear Option’ to End Senate Stalemate

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) is urging Senate Republicans to consider the “nuclear option” — ending the 60-vote filibuster rule to break the ongoing government funding deadlock.

Roy argued the GOP should use a simple majority (50 votes) to pass a clean spending bill and reopen the government, saying Democrats “change the rules when it suits them — maybe it’s time Republicans do the same.”

Some GOP leaders, including Sen. John Thune, oppose the move, warning it could backfire if Democrats regain control.

“Folks, in the past week, Donald Trump has attacked me on social media, posting an AI video on Truth Social of him flying a jet, dropping feces on me specifically and millions of other Americans protesting.

JD Vance then got involved and joined with the president to attack me as well on social media. And earlier in the week, MAGA Republicans got Deport Harry SisIn trending on Twitter.

It was the number one thing on the platform with like 30 to 40,000 posts from different accounts. And so, They are terrified of us.

That’s the takeaway here. This is not just about me, this is about me, you, and everyone around you who is sticking up for democracy and pushing back on this administration. They are terrified of us. They see the no Kings protest. They see more and more Americans fed up with what Donald Trump is doing, and they simply can’t handle it.

They can’t reverse course or change policy to have their approval ratings go up. They have to go on the offense and attack us instead. And that’s a losing strategy.

And so I welcome the attacks from Donald Trump and JD Vance dance and MAGA wanting to deport me. It only empowers me.

It empowers people at home, and I’m ready to beat them in the elections in 2026 and 2028 and beyond. Love you all.”

No opposition figure can beat HH – Imenda

Ruling UPND deputy secretary general Gertrude lmenda has challenged United Kwacha Alliance (UKA) chairperson Sakwiba Sikota to name the opposition candidate who will make President Hakainde Hichilema to lose the general elections next year.

Last Week,  Sikota said every President starting with the first president Kenneth Kaunda to Edgar Lungu were told by the people that they were going to win the elections. However, they all lost.

Responding to Sikota in an interview with Daily Revelation over the weekend, Imenda said the president Hichilema has scored unprecedented development within

IF MUDOLO QUALIFIES, HE’S WELCOME TO CONTEST PF PRESIDENCY – LUBINDA

IF MUDOLO QUALIFIES, HE’S WELCOME TO CONTEST PF PRESIDENCY – LUBINDA

ACTING PF President Given Lubinda says South African-based businessman Willah Mudolo is free to contest the PF presidency as long as he meets the party’s qualifications.

Lubinda has also announced that the PF would hold its convention in November, even if former president Edgar Lungu has not been buried by that time.

Speaking during an appearance on Diamond TV recently, Lubinda said whoever qualifies to contest the party presidency should simply follow the party’s constitution.

“I don’t know Mudolo, but I know that there are many people who are positioning themselves to take over as president of the Patriotic Front. Whoever qualifies is free, let them follow the constitution, let them follow the instructions that will come from the central committee. If they qualify, they are welcome. Nobody can stop anyone. We are a democratic party that wants to enhance the democracy of the country. We can’t say we are going to enhance Zambia’s democracy if we ourselves, in our internal processes, are undemocratic. That would be hypocrisy. So, if Mudolo qualifies, he’s welcome,” he said.

And Lubinda said the PF would hold its convention in November, even if Lungu was not buried.

“We don’t know when the burial will take place. And should we as a party be held to ransom by that? We lost time already from June to September; we were in mourning, and we did not take a lot of political activism because of the mourning period. But to whose benefit? It has been to our disadvantage but it has been to somebody’s advantage.

Our disadvantage has been the advantage of our friends because for them they have been mobilising, they’ve launched their campaign for 2026. And yet for us we have been kept in mourning. This is why in September when I was in Petauke, I mentioned to our officials that we shall continue to mourn our departed president Edgar Chagwa Lungu, but we will not have our feet fixed to the ground, we won’t have our hands tied; we ought to start working, we ought to do what president Lungu wanted us to do. He died in pursuit of a second liberation of Zambia,” he said.

“You remember what he said on October 28, 2023, when he announced that he was coming back to politics: he said he couldn’t sit back to watch the shrinkage of the democratic space in Zambia, and he called upon all of us to rally together so that in 2026 we redeem Zambia from the tyranny of the UPND. And for us to sit back because his body hasn’t been interred would be a let down for him.

We will be letting down his legacy, his vision. I’m sure that wherever his spirit is, it’s saying, ‘fight on,’ so that those brothers and sisters who are incarcerated for political reasons must be given their liberty and that those people in Zambia who are not allowed to express themselves must be given the freedom of expression. That is what was his desire. I’m sure that his spirit is lingering, waiting for us to take that action. And because of that, even before we bury our departed brother, we have to have the convention”.

Meanwhile, Lubinda argued that the people who blocked his interview at Radio Phoenix, where he was scheduled to appear, were not PF members.

“There’s no reason why I would be scared of any PF members. I have to state that I wasn’t at the scene at the time this was happening. I was on my way to the studio when my advance team, which was going to make sure that the studio was ready and so on, because they also had to go and set up cameras for us to stream online on our different platforms, alerted me to the presence of the thugs who were at Radio Phoenix.

My advance team that went there is composed of senior members of the PF who would be expected to know the majority of our party members. The people they met there, they couldn’t recognize a single person as being from the PF. Their suspicion is that these could have been hired thugs from either another political party or known thugs from anywhere. They were not PF members,” he said.

He said the incident should be condemned as Zambia was a democratic state.

“This is something that all of us must condemn in the strongest terms possible. Zambia has been a democratic state for a long time, and people must enjoy their freedom of movement and freedom of association. I don’t move around with bodyguards, I have never had a bodyguard. The last time I had an ADC was when I was a government minister. Before then and after that, I have never had bodyguards because I have not seen any reason why I should walk around the streets of Lusaka with bodyguards,” said Lubinda.

“If this trend continues, it will force people to start creating their own forces of defence, and you can imagine what the country will turn into if every politician moves around with a team of militia, a team of people to protect them. We will create a very dangerous society, and we must abhor this. I want to appeal to all of us politicians: let us exercise our political rights to express our views, to exchange ideas, let’s use politics to be a field in which there’s a battle of ideas and not a battle of physical violence, intimidation or coercion. That’s not the politics that Zambia deserves”.

MR PRESIDENT, CAN WE WRITE A CONSTITUTION FOR SEPTEMBER NOT AUGUST 2026 – LAURA MITI

MR PRESIDENT, CAN WE WRITE A CONSTITUTION FOR SEPTEMBER NOT AUGUST 2026 – LAURA MITI

She writes….

While there have been continual disagreements on how Zambia amends her constitution, there has, for decades, been the overall agreement that our constitution needs profound review.

That, reading all it’s chigambas as one, it does not have the interest of Zambia’s citizens.

Simply, the document that is supposed to direct how we will live together, and each of us fully benefit from all that this oddly shaped country has to give, has fundamental problems.

It designs that power is not distributed in such a way that it will always advance the citizen good. It does not force those who have the privilege to run the country, to do so for the weakest among us. It allows the temporary privilege of power to be used to harm the long term interests of Zambians.

Our constitution allows an unequal country. For rural citizens to be after-thoughts. It does not force equitable distribution  national wealth. It allows for a child born intelligent, but poor, to be illiterate.

For the educational decisions affecting a child in Nabwalya or Sioma to be made in Lusaka. For Lusaka to be Zambia.

It does not force decentralisation of power. It makes the President a god. For this nonsense we are seeing where everyone wants to be President because all other offices that citizens could aspire for, and have real influence on the country, are but puppets of the Presidency

The Chief Justice, Speaker, Auditor General, Inspector General of the Police, Mayor, even the headmaster of a school- everyone is looking over their shoulder to the President.

Small people around the presidency have, for administration after administration, been more powerful in the everyday life of the country than holders of critical offices.

That situation should be prevented by the Constitution.

Simply, the need for Zambia to write for herself a supreme law that clearly directs the affairs of the country in the best interest of citizens, has never been in dispute.

The reason, therefore, that we find ourselves about to amend our constitution again, and the reason it is, again, a noisy effort, is that EVERY government has approached the reviews in its own interests.

Tragically, no administration, since 1964, has understood the tragedy of capturing a constitution for its own immediate political needs.

No government has loved Zambia enough to allow a constitution that is not in permanent need for critical review, to be passed.

Even when consensus has been reached on issues, government after government has thrown out the people’s views and used the constitutional review process to advance it’s politics.

Here is the question, then.

Is it possible that President Hichilema and the ruling party will do what no other administration has – facilitate the people of Zambia to give themselves a good guiding document?

Will this government display the understanding that, while it necessarily has a say in content,  it is but one of many voices?

Will this government find it possible to not use the Mushabati Technical Committee to legitimise what it wants for itself?

The straight forward question is –  will the Hichilema administration allow the Mushabti Technical Committee  to work in the interests of a constitution for Zambia, not a constitution for 2026?

Mr President, can we write a constitution for September not August, 2026?

Given Lubinda visits the Zambia Correctional Services HQ to petition against the blockade of visitation to opposition colleagues in prisons

WHAT IS THE RATIONALE BEHIND THESE RESTRICTIONS? – GIVEN LUBINDA

Patriotic Front Acting President and Tonse Chairman Dr. Given Lubinda has requested that the Zambia Correctional Services (ZCS) provide him with the “New Law or Standing Orders” that prevents him from visiting inmates.

Recently, Mr. Lubinda has consistently been denied and deprived of his right to visit and commiserate with his colleagues, particularly those who are politically incarcerated.

“Every time I visit a correctional facility, be it Kasama, Mwembeshi, or Chimbokaila, I am required to obtain clearance from the higher office in Lusaka”, Mr. Lubinda complained. In response, the ZCS Headquarters staff stated that their bosses were out of office.

Mr. Lubinda was accompanied by Tonse leaders President Wright Musona and President Hector Soondo, and Members of the Central Committee- MCC Gabriel Kibombwe, MCC Kennedy Kamba. Others present were Patriotic Front Provincial and District officials.

Njobvu commends Hichilema’s call for closure on Edgar Lungu burial drama

Njobvu commends Hichilema’s call for closure on ECL burial drama

By Francis Chipalo

Democratic Union (DU) President Ackim Antony Njobvu has commended President Hakainde Hichilema’s call to finally have the drama around Edgar Chagwa Lungu alias ECL put to rest.

President Hichilema during national day of prayer and reconciliation on the 18th of this month asked Zambians to prayer for the closure of Lungu’s funeral drama so that the former President could be finally put to rest.

October marked exactly four months since Lungu was reported to have died in a South African hospital where he was undergoing medical treatment.

His death has however resulted in a tussle between government and President Lungu’s family over his burial.

However, President Hichilema took advantage of the national day of prayer and reconciliation by making an appeal to all to remember the Lungu family in prayer.

The President expressed that the Lungu could be put rest.

And commenting on the development, President Njobvu of the Democratic Union said government should be commended for the position.

Njobvu, a devoted christian himself said it was important that the former First family considers Hichilema’s plea so that Lungu could be put to rest and the country moves forward.

The opposition who has made similar calls before urged former First Lady Esther Lungu and family to consider Hichilema’s call as a sign of reconciliation between the family and the New Dawn government.

He has also asked leaders of the Patriotic Front to embrace Hichilema’s plea.

The opposition was speaking in an interview in Lusaka on Monday.

Mr Kambwili’s lawyer, Kennedy Mambwe, says his client began serving his sentence on 14th June 2025 and will be released this friday after remission.

Mr Mambwe says his client’s health condition has been bad and his blood pressure has remained high throughout his time in custody, reading above 200 over 120.

The lawyer says they are relieved about the release as it will allow Mr Kambwili to access proper medical facilities and specialist treatment, which he says prison authorities did not adequately provide despite several requests.

Court rejects Mwizukanji’s bid to have Yo Maps increase child support for Bukata from k3,000 because the cost of living has increased

Court rejects Mwizukanji’s bid to have Yo Maps increase child support for Bukata

THE Lusaka Magistrate Court has tossed out a request by Prudence Nakamba, popularly known as Mwizukanji to have musician Elton Mulenga, alias Yo Maps increase monthly maintenance for their daughter, Bukata, from K3,000 because of the high cost of living.

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1RpUvorrXL/

The court ruled that the request could not be considered in the current proceedings, which were primarily focused on the issue of custody and access rights.

This is in a matter where Yo Maps applied to vary a 2022 consent order and opted to seek primary custody of the child.

In her affidavit in opposition, Mwizukanji opposed the musician’s application and countered by asking the court to adjust the monthly maintenance upwards, arguing that the cost of living had significantly increased since the order was made.

She also urged the court to order Yo Maps to pay Bukata’s school fees and related expenses in full, adding that she provided a stable and supportive environment for their daughter and that the musician should contribute more to her welfare.

However, in his reply filed on September 2, 2025, Yo Maps rejected the request, describing it as unreasonable.

He stated that while he was willing to continue paying school fees and reasonable expenses related to Bukata’s welfare, it was unfair for Mwizukanji to expect an increase in maintenance.

In her ruling, Magistrate Kawama Mwamfuli noted that although the plea for higher maintenance was included in Mwizukanji’s affidavit, it could not be addressed within the current case, which did not properly place the matter of maintenance before the court.

“The court has noted that the Affidavit in Opposition included a plea for a review
or variation of the child’s maintenance. This requires an extensive examination of the parties current means which evidence was not fully available before this court,” read the document.

“The issue of maintenance would be best resolved in a proper application where the
court is moved and parties are given adequate opportunity to address the issues. I will accordingly decline to award this request which was in any event not included in counsel’s oral submissions and prayer before court.”

The court also dismissed an application by Mwizukanji to have portions of an affidavit sworn by Kidist Kifle Mulenga, Yo Maps’ wife, expunged from the record, ruling that there was no legal restriction preventing a non-party from swearing an affidavit…https://kalemba.news/entertainment/court-rejects-mwizukanjis-bid-to-have-yo-maps-increase-child-support-for-bukata/

GREYFORD MONDE URGES ZAMBIANS TO DEFEND DEMOCRACY

MONDE URGES ZAMBIANS TO DEFEND DEMOCRACY

….and to register as voters in order to change government in 2026

Lusaka… Monday October 20, 2025 – Patriotic Front (PF) Chairperson for Mobilization, Greyford Monde, has called on Zambians to rise and defend the country’s shrinking democracy.

Speaking on Radio Christian Voice’s ‘Chat Back’ programme, Hon. Monde urged citizens to register as voters in large numbers ahead of the 2026 general elections, saying this was the only way to bring about change.

“We are at a point where Zambians must rise and defend democracy. Now there is even an exercise of voter registration, we must rise in numbers to stop this dictatorial tendency,” Hon Monde said.

He accused the UPND government of attempting to “kill” the PF by installing “surrogates” to lead the former ruling party.

Hon Monde claimed that this move had limited the PF’s participation in by-elections.

“The UPND hijacked the PF and put their surrogates as Presidents. Those calling themselves PF leaders now, like the Chabingas, will not participate in any by-election. Chabinga is clearly an extension of the UPND,” he alleged.

Hon. Monde further accused the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) of being used by the ruling party to disadvantage the opposition through new electoral standards and regulations.

He said the PF is exploring alliances and other political arrangements to ensure it remains competitive ahead of the 2026 polls.

“We have had to rethink how we proceed. We have tried to form alliances and find a special purpose vehicle for the elections. Zambians can now see the open hand behind these moves.”

GOVT SETS OUT CONSTITUTIONAL REVIEW TERMS OF REFERENCE

THE Government has set out the terms of reference (ToRs) to guide the constitutional review process, which will be led by the newly appointed technical committee.

Secretary to the Cabinet Patrick Kangwa has confirmed that the terms of reference have already been handed over to the technical committee.

Mr Kangwa stated that the terms of reference will also be made accessible to the public.

“The terms of reference will be published in daily newspapers to allow members of the public to familiarise themselves with them. In addition, they will be available on the technical committee’s website,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the technical committee’s vice-chairperson and spokesperson, Landilani Banda, confirmed receipt of the ToRs.

During an interview, Dr Banda noted that the committee has already begun its sessions and established its rules of engagement.

“We would like to inform the nation that immediately after the swearing-in ceremony, we started meeting and have since developed our rules of engagement and, most importantly, our work plan,” he said.

UTIs are not caused by toilet seats- Dr Aaron Mujajati

GUEST ARTICLE: THE TOILET SEAT DIDN’T DO IT – BUSTING THE BIGGEST UTI MYTH

By Dr Aaron Mujajati

For generations, a persistent myth has circulated in whispered conversations and casual advice: that women contract urinary tract infections (UTIs) from sitting on public toilet seats. It is a belief so widespread that many women hover uncomfortably above the seat, convinced they are protecting themselves from infection. But here is the truth: UTIs are not caused by toilet seats.

The truth is that majority of UTIs are caused by bacteria, most commonly Escherichia coli (E. coli), that live in the digestive tract and sometimes spread to the urinary system. These bacteria typically enter the urethra and travel upward, leading to infection. The toilet seat, by contrast, is an unlikely culprit. In fact, the skin is an excellent barrier against germs, and the conditions required for bacteria to move from a seat into the urinary tract simply do not exist.

So why does this myth endure? Perhaps because UTIs are so common, about 40% of women will experience at least one in their lifetime, and people naturally seek a visible, external cause. Public toilets, often perceived as unhygienic, become an easy scapegoat. But the real risk factors lie elsewhere and these include:

1. Sexual activity, which can introduce bacteria into the urinary tract.

2. Improper wiping habits (back-to-front instead of front-to-back).

3. Holding urine for too long, which allows bacteria to multiply.

4. Hormonal changes, especially after menopause, which can alter the urinary tract’s natural defenses.

This is not to say hygiene is unimportant. Washing hands, staying hydrated, and urinating after sexual intercourse are all effective preventive measures. But hovering over a toilet seat or avoiding public restrooms altogether does little to protect against UTIs, and may even cause unnecessary discomfort or bladder strain.

The danger of clinging to the toilet seat myth is twofold. First, it distracts from the real causes and preventive strategies. Second, it fuels stigma, making women feel embarrassed about a condition that is both common and treatable. UTIs are medical issues, not moral failings or hygiene lapses.

The next time someone warns you about “catching something” from a toilet seat, remember: the real threat is not where you sit, but how bacteria find their way into the urinary tract. Let’s flush away the myths and focus on science.

Bottom line: UTIs are caused by bacteria, not toilet seats. Dispelling this misconception empowers women to take the right preventive steps and seek treatment without shame. You have heard.

Kennedy Kamba Exposes Voter Registration Scam

Kennedy Kamba Exposes Voter Registration Scam

A shocking revelation has rocked the ongoing voter registration exercise, with Patriotic Front (PF) Central Committee member Kennedy Kamba exposing a scam involving duplicate registrations.

Mr. Kamba disclosed that his name appeared on two different polling stations – Kabwata and Chipili constituencies- despite never registering or voted from Chipili.

Mr. Kamba made the discovery while verifying his voter’s details at Arthur Wina Basic School in Lusaka.

“This voter’s registration exercise is a scam,” Mr. Kamba alleged. “They altered my details. I’m appearing on two voter’s registrations; in Kabwata Constituency in Lusaka and Chipili Constituency in Luapula Province.”

Mr. Kamba has therefore urged the Zambian citizens to ensure that they visit the verification centres to ensure their details are correct in line with their NRCs before the exercise comes to an end next month.

The Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) has dismissed circulating social media rumours alleging the death of veteran musician and cultural icon, Pontiano Kaiche.

In an official statement, ZAM confirmed that Mr. Kaiche is alive and in good health, continuing to contribute to the nation’s music and arts industry.

The Association has urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information that causes unnecessary distress to families and the music fraternity.

ZAM says it remains committed to honouring and celebrating the country’s living legends.

Side chick beats her married lover for refusing to sleep over, locks him up and smashes his car windows

A side chick reportedly attacked her married lover, locked him inside her apartment and smashed the side windows of his car in Abuja.

An Abuja based Nigerian lady, Dominic Rita Kever said the incident occurred in her compound on Sunday night.

Zimbabwe S33x workers want to be called pleasure managers

Sex workers in Bulawayo have called for greater recognition and respect for their profession, including replacing what they describe as derogatory labels with more dignified terms such as “pleasure managers.”

The calls were made during a Health parliamentary portfolio committee consultative meeting held in the city recently.

Speaking at the meeting, Faith Ncube, one of the sex workers, said they wanted to operate freely and without harassment from law enforcement officers.

“We want respect. Derogatory names such as sex workers or prostitutes should be changed — we want to be called pleasure managers, not sex workers,” Ncube said.

“We are offering our services to various men of different classes, including some well-known members of society, but we cannot disclose their names.”

Ncube argued that their work contributes to the national economy, citing that they pay fines and use their income to support their families. She further urged the government to decriminalise sex work, saying it should be treated like any other profession.

“Our profession does not require any qualifications. One needs to be smart in order to market herself. Some of us want to get married and settle down, but life’s pressures make it difficult to quit because of the quick money,” she added.

Another sex worker, who identified herself as Barbra, said legal recognition would improve their access to healthcare and protection from abuse.

“We hear there are Young Women 4ED and Mine Workers 4ED. We also want to be recognised and treated humanely,” she said.

Sexual Rights Centre consultant Saul Utete supported their calls, arguing that if the state accepts their money for taxes, fines, and school fees, their work should not be stigmatised.

“They are calling for a standard way of operating their profession and access to benefits like workers in other sectors,” Utete said.

However, Midlands proportional representation MP Perseverance Zhou, a member of the visiting committee, reminded them that prostitution remains illegal in Zimbabwe.

“We told them that the law is very clear — prostitution is illegal in the country, and even our culture does not allow it,” Zhou said.

“If a woman is caught engaging in prostitution, she is insulted, yet when men do the same, society remains silent. But the truth is both sexes take part in this trade.”

Zhou added that the sex workers expressed interest in forming a database and drafting a constitution to help them qualify for formal financial assistance and social support.

The meeting highlighted the ongoing debate between moral, legal, and human rights perspectives on sex work in Zimbabwe — a conversation that continues to divide opinion amid growing advocacy for decriminalisation and workplace protection.

“This isn’t the Ned I got married to, he has changed. He has become a m0nster. I would’ve never believed if someone told me that a day would come when Ned will send his thvgs to bêat me up. I thought I was the Love Of His Life.

I gave this man my Vîrginîty and this is how he pays back? I even kîllêd my j£alousy and become a 6th wife to this man and it still wasn’t enough for him. I am s!ck and tîred of all this in the name of marriage. IT’S OVER and I’m leaving this cvrsed marriage.” ~ Regina Daniels

Where did Regina Daniels go wr0ng? Is it a Cr!me to find “True Wealth” in a 70-years old man at just 18-years old?

“I blame Regina Daniels’ st*pid mother who sold her daughter to an ancient of days – Actress Georgina Onuoha slams Senator Ned Nwoko

Actress Georgina Onuoha has slammed Senator Ned Nwoko for putting out a statement accusing his last wife, Regina Daniels, of drug abuse hours after a video of her lamenting about the domestic v!olence she has allegedly endure since she got married to him, went viral.

In a video she released on social media this morning October 20, Georgina argued that the lawmaker started courting Regina when she was 16, got married to her when she was 18 and fathered a child with her shortly after. She argued that Regina was handed over to Ned when she was ‘’whole and naive” and wondered when Regina picked the drug abuse trait.

‘’The fact that this old man put out a press release that his 25-year-old wife whom he started courting when she was 16 and married when she was 18 and fathered a child right away with her is a drug abuser….we are all claiming and shouting that he is ‘right’. Does it mean that in our book, might is right?

Don’t get me wrong. I am not fan of Regina Daniels. I see her as a little girl whose youth and future was offered at the altar of an an ancient and modern old man because of money by her irresponsible and greedy mother. She is a victim of society.

That being said, she smoking ‘’shisha’ and all of that, she was acting her age under the umbrella of a man who married this little girl to protect and provide for her.

Let me ask you Senator Ned, at what point was a girl whom you started courting at 16 and married at 18 become a drug dealer? When she married you, she was whole, young, naive..you claim she was a virgin. At what point did that virgin become a drug dealer? A child you were supposed to nurture and provide for? At what point?”

She also berated the lawmaker for keeping quiet when he knew that Regina and her brother were abusing hard drugs right under his roof. She called on the lawmaker to step aside so an investigation can be carried out on the allegation of domestic violence levelled against him by Regina as well as the drug abuse allegation he leveled against Regina and her brother.

Malema slams Operation Dudula’s Zandile Dabula as “proper garbage” after eNCA interview flub

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has slammed Zandile Dabula, the leader of Operation Dudula, following a live eNCA interview yesterday October 19.

During the interview, Dabula struggled to define the term “Frontline States,” which refers to southern African countries that supported anti-apartheid efforts in the 1970s and 1980s. When asked, “If I say Frontline States, what comes to mind?” Dabula responded, “So now this is about the people,” and shifted the conversation to the Freedom Charter and Operation Dudula’s leadership issues, diverting from the historical context.

Malema shared a recording of the interview on social media, expressing his frustration with Dabula’s performance. He captioned the post, “We are subjected to rubbish, like proper garbage with no clue non whatsoever. Mxm,” indicating his disapproval of her lack of knowledge on the subject.

Operation Dudula, under Dabula’s leadership, has been a vocal critic of undocumented immigration in South Africa. The movement has faced criticism for its methods, including blocking access to healthcare and schools for undocumented migrants, and has been accused of promoting xenophobia. Dabula has denied these allegations, stating that the group’s actions are aimed at enforcing existing immigration laws and protecting South African citizens.

Malema’s comments add to the ongoing tensions between the EFF and Operation Dudula, highlighting the deep divisions within South Africa’s political landscape regarding immigration and national identity.

“I knew this marriage was bound to have issues. Even me I am in my late 50s and I can’t marry a 20-year old girl. I feel very ãshamed that I was alive and watched my own 18-year daughter marry a 70-years old man.

When Regina told me about this marriage, I told her that there’s more to life and marrying a man who is older than me her father isn’t right. But guess what? Her mother, Rita called me an ēnēmy of progress and wished me dēath.

So I backed off and let Regina follow her happiness since she was already an adult anyway. I didn’t even attend her wedding because I was ãngry. Chamisa vows to fight Zanu-PF’s 2030 move

Zimbabwe’s opposition leaders have condemned the ruling Zanu-PF party’s resolution to extend President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s term of office by two years beyond the constitutional limit, describing the move as unconstitutional and undemocratic.

The 22nd Zanu-PF Annual People’s Conference, held in Mutare, resolved that both the government and the party begin legal, constitutional, and administrative processes to ensure Mnangagwa’s tenure is extended from 2028 to 2030. The conference directed the Ministry of Justice to commence the necessary legal work and ensure the changes are completed by October next year.

President Mnangagwa, whose second and final term ends in 2028, has previously stated that he would abide by the Constitution and step down when his mandate expires. However, the latest resolution has fueled political tension, with critics accusing Zanu-PF of plotting to undermine constitutionalism for political gain.

Information secretary Nick Mangwana confirmed the development on X (formerly Twitter), noting that the directive to extend Mnangagwa’s term was a formal resolution adopted by the ruling party’s delegates.

Former Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader Nelson Chamisa swiftly dismissed the resolution, saying it held no authority over the people of Zimbabwe. “Zanu-PF resolutions bind Zanu-PF and her members, not Zimbabwe and her people,” Chamisa said on X.

CCC interim leader Jameson Timba echoed Chamisa’s sentiments, emphasizing that any constitutional amendment extending a presidential term must be decided through a national referendum. “Zanu-PF’s 2030 resolution of today is silent on how it will be done. If it means changing the Constitution, only a referendum can decide-and even then, the sitting President cannot benefit. Zimbabwe is ruled by law, not party resolutions,” Timba said.

Prominent opposition politician Tendai Biti also weighed in, vowing to resist what he described as an attempt to capture the Constitution and advance a corrupt, anti-people agenda. “Our mandate is short and brief. We will defend the Constitution against its capture and manipulation to advance a dangerous unconstitutional anti-people agenda. We will fight corrupt cartels and syndicates that have systematically looted Zimbabwe and now want to take over the State,” Biti said on X.

Zanu-PF delegates, however, justified their position, saying Mnangagwa’s “visionary leadership” had brought stability, economic recovery, and transformative development to the nation, which they argued should continue beyond 2028.

The proposal, if pursued, would require significant constitutional changes and could set the stage for one of Zimbabwe’s most contentious political battles in years.

Mnangagwa’s Birthday Declared Public Holiday At ZANU PF Conference

Mnangagwa’s Birthday To Be Declared Public Holiday: ZANU PF Conference Resolutions
President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s birthday, 15 September, is now set to be formally declared a national public holiday. The decision was made at the October 2025 ZANU PF conference held in Mutare, where party delegates passed a resolution elevating Munhumutapa Day from a commemoration to a full public holiday.

The development comes after months of mixed signals and public confusion about the true status of the day, which had been placed on the national calendar in 2024 but not yet recognised as a statutory holiday.

ZANU PF Conference Decisions
According to newZWire, the Mutare conference confirmed that 15 September, Mnangagwa’s birthday, will be recognised as Munhumutapa Day, a national public holiday. The outlet quoted the resolution as stating:

“ZANU PF says President Mnangagwa’s birthday, Sept 15, is to be declared a public holiday, Munhumutapa Day.”

Delegates emphasised that all members of the party were bound to support the decision. The resolutions warned:

“To oppose such would be gross misconduct.”

The conference also reaffirmed last year’s resolution to extend President Mnangagwa’s term of office. The ruling party directed the Ministry of Justice to fast-track amendments to extend the presidency by two years, from 2028 to 2030, with the legal process to be completed by October 2026.

Earlier Confusion Over Munhumutapa Day
The October 2025 resolution clears up months of uncertainty about whether Munhumutapa Day was a real public holiday.

The day was gazetted under General Notice 954 of 2024, issued in terms of the Public Holidays and Prohibition of Business Act [Chapter 10:21]. According to that notice, Munhumutapa Day was to be commemorated annually on 15 September, in honour of both the President’s birthday and the legacy of the Munhumutapa Empire.

However, on 11 September 2025, the Government issued a statement contradicting this. Home Affairs Minister Kazembe Kazembe clarified:

“We have not been given that instruction. The day was never declared a holiday; should there be a proposal for the day to be a holiday, normal procedure will be followed. But it is a day set aside to remember the Munhumutapa Day.”

That announcement stressed that businesses, schools and public services were expected to operate normally. The Minister’s statement fuelled public confusion, since the day was on the official calendar but not recognised as a holiday.

The October 2025 ZANU PF conference resolution now closes the gap by explicitly directing that the day be elevated from a commemorative event to a full public holiday.

Celebrations Already Underway
Even before the official upgrade, Munhumutapa Day had been marked with large-scale events. Celebrations rotate across provinces each year, and in 2025, the main festivities were held in Zvishavane, Midlands Province.

The build-up included a nationwide sports tournament organised by the Zimbabwe National Sports Promotion for Economic Development (ZIMSPORTS4ED). ZIMSPORTS chairperson Gabriel Togarepi said:

“Sporting teams in various disciplines across the nation are invited to register for participation as we look forward to making this event memorable. The tournament is not only a celebration of President Mnangagwa’s birthday but also a recognition of the achievements made by the Second Republic.”

On 15 September 2025, when the President turned 83, more than 30,000 people gathered in Zvishavane for the main commemorations, presided over by Mnangagwa himself. Activities included youth empowerment initiatives and campaigns against drug and substance abuse.

Zimbabwe Launches New Drug Agency To Target Cartels And Dealers

Zimbabwe Rolls Out National Drug Control Agency
The Zimbabwean government has escalated its war on narcotics with the creation of a powerful new institution designed to dismantle drug cartels and rehabilitate users. This follows the gazetting of the National Drug and Substance Abuse Control and Enforcement Agency Bill [H.B. 12, 2025] on 10 October 2025.

Officials have described the move as a decisive step to combat a crisis that has gripped communities across the country. In a statement shared on X, the Office of the Attorney General of Zimbabwe declared:

“The National Drug and Substance Abuse Control and Enforcement Agency Bill [H.B. 12, 2025], gazetted on 10 October 2025, highlights the significant move Government is undertaking to combat drug and substance abuse.”

The proposed body is being set up as a specialised agency tasked with tackling the drug problem through enforcement and rehabilitation.

Enforcement Meets Social Support
The new agency will be structured with two distinct divisions. The first, the Enforcement Division, will coordinate with the police and security services to break down trafficking networks and bring drug dealers to justice.

Confirming its mandate, the Attorney General’s Office stated:

“Section 4(1)(b) of the Bill empowers the Agency, in coordination with the Police Services and other Security Services, to dismantle drug trafficking and distribution networks by enforcing laws governing controlled substances.”

Alongside this tough stance, the Social Services Intervention Division will focus on supporting victims of addiction. According to the Bill, its purpose is to:

“Facilitate re-integration of affected individuals into society, in partnership with health and social service providers.”

This dual approach, combining enforcement with rehabilitation, is being presented as a comprehensive response to a complex national problem.

Addressing A National Crisis
Drug and substance abuse have been identified as both a public health and security threat in Zimbabwe. The government’s National Drug and Substance Abuse Policy, adopted in 2023, already highlighted the dangers posed by addiction, linking it to rising youth unemployment, gender-based violence, and increased urban crime.

The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) stressed the potential impact of the new law, stating:

“The establishment of this agency will have a significant impact on Zimbabwe’s fight against drug abuse. It will address the social and economic consequences, including family breakdowns, loss of education opportunities, and crime.”

Citizens have been encouraged to follow updates on the Bill’s progress through the Attorney General’s official website. Authorities say the fight against drugs now enters a new phase — one designed to strike at the roots of trafficking while offering recovery paths for those already affected.

Mixed Reactions as SAFA Proposes Up to 25% Salary Cuts for Hugo Broos and Senior Staff

Mixed Reactions as SAFA Proposes Salary Cuts to Avoid Liquidation

The South African Football Association (SAFA) has announced plans to implement salary cuts of between 5% and 25% for its top earners, including Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos.

The move comes as the cash-strapped association faces mounting financial pressure and seeks to avoid possible liquidation.

The drastic proposal was reportedly discussed during a closed-door meeting held at Mbombela Stadium — just hours before Bafana Bafana’s 3–0 victory over Rwanda secured their qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Proposal Tabled During Finance Report
According to CityPress , the proposal was presented by the finance committee chairperson as part of a broader financial review aimed at stabilizing SAFA’s struggling finances.

The proposed cuts will reportedly affect senior staff members and technical personnel earning above a certain threshold, while lower-paid employees are expected to be spared.

Fans Defend Hugo Broos, Call for Cuts to SAFA Executives Instead
Many South Africans have voiced frustration over the proposed salary cuts at SAFA, with most arguing that Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos should be exempt. Fans believe Broos has earned his pay through the team’s recent success, urging the association to instead reduce the salaries of top executives, including SAFA president Danny Jordaan, and to trim unnecessary administrative costs.

Here are some of the reactions;

@KB_ Ramasimong;

They must not try to frustrate Hugo Broos

The man is deserving of his salary….they must cut their other expenses and they must cut that bloated NEC which they have refused to do until date

SAFA IS SO TERRIBLE!!!! SAFA IS SO BAD THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SELL WATER IN A DESERT

@Maso_90;

Fire the team manager, cut 40% of Danny’s salary and that of his administrative colleagues or he must leave and then increase Broos’ salary by 5%.

On the other hand, Gayton must ask more budget from Treasury and work with SAFA to seek sponsors.

@Gumm_Zoro;

Danny Jordaan salary must be cut as well. 50% cut futhi

@AsanteGraceX;

Danny Jordan salary must be cut, not Hugo Broos. They are about to mess up World Cup

@du_nyuswa;

How about cutting the President’s budget by 25%

Nicolas Sarkozy set to start a five-year prison sentence for criminal conspiracy over Libyan funding

Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy has said he is not afraid of going to jail as he prepares to start a five-year prison sentence.

Sarkozy, who is due to be incarcerated at Paris’s Sante prison on Tuesday, told the French newspaper La Tribune Dimanche he had already packed his bags and feels calm.

The ex-leader is being locked up after being convicted of attempting to raise campaign funds from Libya in 2007.

‘I am not afraid of prison. I will hold my head high, even in front of the gates of Sante,’ Sarkozy said, adding he will not ask for any special privileges.

The disgraced ex-president will be placed in solitary confinement over fears for his safety, the newspaper reports.

He will be housed on the top floor of the isolation wing, separate from other inmates, and will be accompanied by a prison guard at all times.

Sarkozy will be allowed to make two visits a day to one of the prison’s three gyms and exercise yards.

Meanwhile, his wife, Italian supermodel Carla Bruni, will reportedly visit her husband every day during his five-year sentence.

Sarkozy said that he does not want to complain or be pitied during his imprisonment.

He added that he plans to spend his time in jail writing a book.

Sarkozy, who led France from 2007 to 2012, was found guilty of criminal conspiracy over efforts by close aides to procure funds for his successful 2007 presidential bid from Libya during the rule of late dictator Muammar Gaddafi.

The former leader has always said he was innocent and has appealed his conviction.

It is the first time that a former French head of state has been found guilty of trying to use foreign money in such a manner.

Sarkozy, who was elected in 2007 but lost his bid for re-election in 2012, denied all wrongdoing during a three-month trial earlier this year that also involved 11 co-defendants, including three former ministers.

LT. GENERAL SOLOCHI DIRECTS ZNS TO IMMEDIATELY START NORTHERN PROVINCE ROADWORKS.

The Zambia National Service (ZNS) Commander, Lieutenant General Maliti Solochi, has directed officers in the service, to immediately begin the rehabilitation and maintenance of feeder roads in Northern Province, following a request from the Provincial Administration.

The ZNS Commander, issued the directive after paying a courtesy call on Northern Province Minister, Hon. Leonard Mbao, MP, who requested the service’s assistance, as many councils have delayed road completion due to limited human resources.

“The command is ready to work with the constituencies through Provincial Administration as we have the expertise in the service,” Lt. Gen. Solochi stated.

He expressed delight over the availability of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), confirming that the Chambeshi ring road in Mungwi district would be the first project to commence.

The Commander, who is in the province to inspect various ZNS projects, also highlighted the service’s commitment to the Presidential directive on water investment, noting the need to construct dams in selected areas within the province.

Furthermore, Lt. Gen. Solochi emphasized the service’s desire to realign officers in adding value to the country, especially in the agriculture sector and many developmental projects.

Meanwhile, Minister Mbao applauded ZNS for adhering to the Presidential directive of ensuring all projects meet the high standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness.

Additionally, he disclosed that there is an emergency involving a cut-off bridge that links the rest of the Province to Nsama and Kaputa districts, warning that the situation will severely hamper farmers’ ability to transport produce.

The Minister requested ZNS Command to assist with the rehabilitation of the bridge as a matter of urgency.

Minister Mbao welcomed the Zambia National Service’s swift action, noting that while most local authorities have the necessary equipment and Constituency Development Fund is available, there remains a significant backlog of work.
