I’M READY TO BE ARRESTED EVERY WEEK FOR THE SAKE OF ZAMBIANS – MUNDUBILE

I’M READY TO BE ARRESTED EVERY WEEK FOR THE SAKE OF ZAMBIANS – MUNDUBILE

Monday, 23 March 2026 (News Diggers)

TONSE Alliance president Brian Mundubile says he is ready to be arrested every week if that is what it takes to fight for Zambians.

Mundubile has also accused the police of attempting to slap treasonable charges on him and interrogating him about his interactions with Chief Mwata Kazembe, among others.

Meanwhile, Mundubile has advised President Hakainde Hichilema to aim to win the August polls through the ballot, not through what he described as “imingalato”.

Speaking on BM8 Unfiltered, Friday, when asked how he felt about the arrest, Mundubile said if the fight against what he called injustice required him to end up in police cells weekly, he was prepared.

“I don’t know how to describe the feeling but I’ll be quick to say it’s not about how I feel, it’s about how the Zambian people feel. It’s not so much about me as an individual, it’s about the Zambian people, this fight is about the Zambian people.

If this is what it will take for me and Tonse to fight for the Zambian people, I want to say that we are ready to go in those police cells every other week. So if the fight against poverty, the fight against injustices, the fight against the violation of people’s rights will end us in police cells every other week, I want to tell you that we are ready,” he said.

Mundubile described how law enforcement interrogated him and accused him of planning to set the country on fire.

“What is very clear is that the officers of the law enforcement agencies have lost their conscience to operate within the law. Their fidelity to the law is now put in question. They are not scared that they are breaking the law, they can work in whatever way they want without following the law.

What happened yesterday (Thursday) is that we get to the airport and waiting to jump on a plane to South Africa, these gentlemen come, they start issuing very alarming statements. They tell me that they are very worried with my activities that border on national security. They told me they were very very worried, they thought I was one such a leader that would want to defend and protect this country. And I was very quick to mention that that’s the sort of leader that I am. And I asked them what they were talking about, they began to throw names saying, ‘you have huge plans to set this country on fire,’” he narrated.

“I said ‘officer wait a minute, I can never have such intentions, I can never have [those] intentions,’ that’s what I said to him, to set the country on fire, a country that I want to lead? And I continued asking ‘why don’t you get to the point?’ He couldn’t get to what he wanted to deliver but then he began to throw names, he asked me about Mr Valden Findlay, he said ‘do you know Mr Valden Findlay, I said ‘of course I know Mr Valden Findlay’, he went to the next name he said ‘do you know Xavier Chungu?’ I said ‘of course that’s my big brother’.

‘Do you know Moïse Katumbi?’ I said ‘I know the name, I know the gentleman but I have never met him before, never spoken to him’. And he went on even asking about leaders from the region whose names I may not want to mention here”.

Mundubile added that the most disturbing part was when he was questioned about his interaction with Chief Mwata Kazembe.

“But the most disturbing [part], was them asking me about my interaction with my chief, my interaction with the Mwata. So after all that drama they even proceeded to conduct a thorough search on my three phones without any warrant. I wondered whether they knew that whatever they were doing was illegal. I asked them whether they had any right to proceed and search my phones in the manner that they did in an absence of a warrant. I still don’t have my phones, at the time they got them there was no arrest but they had full access to the phones and they went on for hours searching my phones,” he added.

Mundubile said during his period of detention, he had a difficult night thinking about the women, men and youths who got soaked while showing their support at the police station.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank all the people – the youths, the women, the elderly and men who came to Ibex Police Station. You braved the rains for over five, six, seven hours. The youths and grandmothers were at Ibex braving the rains. I looked and said this grandmother is supposed to be taking care of children and grandchildren but is here because she has seen that what this government has started doing will destroy that hope that she has to get out of poverty.

The youths that turned out in their numbers, the youths came there with a belief, they have their hope in the Tonse Alliance, they believe in the leadership of the Tonse Alliance and they turned up in numbers soaked the whole night, I was touched. I watched through the window because they put me in the police cells after 01:00 but before that I could peep through the window. In my mind, I felt so bad. Those people could have been sleeping, most of those people left their homes without even eating, they left their homes without even knowing what they were going to eat the following day. On top of that, they risked their health by standing in the rain the whole night with no guarantee, no assurance that should they fall sick, they will walk up to a hospital where they are going to find drugs, very very unfortunate indeed. I felt very sad, I had a very very difficult night thinking about the people that had turned out in support of me at the time I was being incarcerated,” he said.

Asked how he responded to the charges slapped on him, Mundubile accused President Hichilema of attempting to technically knock him out of the August polls through prolonged arrest.

“First of all, like I said earlier, the officers came in with alarming statements that I was involved in activities that border on national security – the reason why they had access to my phones, they grabbed my passport and everything, that was the reason. But even at the time they took me to Ibex Police station, I was not formally charged, I was not arrested, even the detention happened without any charge and without any arrest, I think this must be made very clear. What is clear is that President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND are out there trying to avoid winning or losing this year’s elections through the ballot, they are trying to bring in technicalities, what you may call imingalato,” said Mundubile.

“President Hakainde Hichilema, Zambia is a constitutional democracy. What we expect, in the same manner that you went for elections in 2021, coming from the opposition, won the election and became President, you must understand, that if you have failed to perform to the expectation of the Zambian people that is the same way you are going to go. And I want to remind you my dear brother, President Hakainde Hichilema that this time you should look at winning this election through the ballot.

I want to discourage you from using imingalato and technicalities, going round fishing charges as serious as treasonable charges that you want to level against other competitors so that you stop them from campaigning. That’s exactly what was happening yesterday (Thursday), I could see it, I’m a trained lawyer, I saw the games that were being played. They wanted to slap BM8 with treasonable charges so that he’s detained for a very long time”.

PF convention polls indicate Kambwili should take backseat from politics – Malite

PF convention polls indicate Kambwili should take backseat from politics – Malite

A FORMER close associate to PF member Chishimba Kambwili has advised him to consider stepping aside from active politics and shift his eagerness to serve the nation to caring for his family instead.

This is after Kambwili plunged into a political relegation zone following the secret PF virtual convention held over the weekend where the former cabinet minister came last among candidates, receiving only 9 out of approximately 600 votes.

UPND Alliance member Emmanuel Malite, who closely worked with Kambwili in forming his ex party, National Democratic Congress (NDC), said the results show that the former political heavy weight has lost influence.

“Given his legacy, I think it’s time for him to step back from active politics. The recent PF private convention results, where he got lowest votes, show he’s lost influence.”

“His shift towards tribal politics didn’t work out, and Zambians lost trust in him. Those around him should see this reality,” Malite stated.

He added that today’s politics needs trustworthiness and issue-based leaders, the qualities which Malite believes people don’t see in Kambwili.

“I think he should take a break, preserve his legacy, and focus on his family,” he advised Kambwili.

Kambwili, who previously served as the Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services and as a member of parliament for the Roan Constituency for over a decade is a founding member of the PF.

In July last year, the Kasama High Court upheld a five-month jail sentence with hard labour for Kambwili regarding tribal and regional remarks made during the 2021 elections.

He was released on October 24, after completing his sentence.

ZAMBIA ‘NOW A LAUGHING STOCK’  REV.  SUMAILI  BLAMES UPND OVER EDGAR LUNGU  BURIAL DELAY

ZAMBIA ‘NOW A LAUGHING STOCK’  REV.  SUMAILI  BLAMES UPND OVER ECL  BURIAL DELAY

By: Thomas Afroman Mwale

Former Minister of Guidance and Religious Affairs Godfridah Sumaili has charged that Zambia has not made progress in upholding national values and principles during the four years of the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND).

Rev. Sumaili says the country has experienced declining standards in governance, patriotism, national unity, democracy and constitutionalism attributing the situation to what she describes as the prolonged delay in the burial of former President Edgar Lungu.

Speaking in an interview with Sun FM TV News, Rev. Sumaili said Zambia has become a world laughing stock due to unresolved legal issues that have kept Mr. Lungu unburied for nearly ten months.

She argued that had the country made progress in upholding morality, President Hakainde Hichilema would have adhered to the wishes of the late president and his family, who she said have remained in prolonged mourning.

Rev. Sumaili further stated that Mr Lungu’s soul has not yet rested in peace, adding that the continued delay in his burial carries both spiritual and physical consequences.

Edgar Lungu died on 5th June 2025 but has not yet been buried.

I AM STILL WAITING FOR GIVEN LUBINDA’S REACTION — OR HAS HE ALREADY STARTED PRACTICING HOW TO BOW BEFORE MALUKULA? I WARNED YOU, BUT YOU CHOSE NOISE OVER SENSE- Chilufya Tayali

By Chilufya Tayali

I AM STILL WAITING FOR GIVEN LUBINDA’S REACTION — OR HAS HE ALREADY STARTED PRACTICING HOW TO BOW BEFORE MALUKULA? I WARNED YOU, BUT YOU CHOSE NOISE OVER SENSE
===================

From day one, I said it — loudly and clearly: “Makebi Zulu was doing politics.”

Makebi Zulu was never just a “family spokesperson.” That was the akafifi (decoy). The real script was political.

While some of you were busy lighting candles and composing emotional tributes, he was busy positioning himself for power. But of course, when I said it, you rushed to insult me, as if reality needs your approval to unfold.

Now look — Tepapa ngowaku Loma 😂😂😂

What you thought was mourning was actually strategy. What you thought was loyalty was careful stage management. The Lungu family wasn’t just preserving the “wishes of Edgar Lungu” — they were preparing a succession plan.

And Makebi Zulu? He wasn’t standing beside the family… he was climbing through it.

But no — you didn’t want to hear that.

Ba Given Lubinda, mwamona nomba? 🤷‍♂️

You preferred comfort over truth. You chose to be spectators in a game you didn’t even realize was being played. And while you were busy crying for Edgar Lungu, others were busy rewriting the future of PF right under your noses. 😂😂😂

Today, the script is revealing itself.

Now I am watching Given Lubinda very closely. 👀 The man who stood tall, the man who acted like a pillar, in very difficult times — is he now going to kneel? Will he adjust quickly and start praising the very arrangement that has quietly outmaneuvered him?

Zambian politics has a way of humbling even those who have done so much for this country — especially at the hands of total failures like Makebi Zulu.

And to those who called me names — don’t worry, I’m not expecting apologies. Pride is expensive. Just have a quiet conversation with your conscience. It already knows I was right. 😊

TRIBALISM IN PF — WAKO NI WAKO

Let me make you uncomfortable again: PF is no longer what you think it is. The PF of Sata is different from the PF of Edgar Lungu and now with Makebi it is slowly becoming a tightly controlled family project, dressed up as a political party.

If you think internal tribalism and favoritism will magically disappear there, then you are not just naïve — you are committed to misunderstanding reality.

Given Lubinda knows this pain. He has experienced it. Honestly, why do you think Given and Kambwili came last in those elections? Why did Edgar choose Makebi over Brian Mundubile or any other candidate? Because this plan was there even before ECL died. They even tried to sell it to me — I refused.

So here is some free advice for people like Given Lubinda and others who are frustrated — take it or ignore it like you did before.

There is life outside PF. In fact, there is political oxygen elsewhere. UPND, for all its critics, is positioning itself as a broader national platform. That door is open — but ego has a way of locking people out of opportunity, so lwenu 🤷‍♂️

As for President Hakainde Hichilema — whether you like it or not — the man is not going anywhere anytime soon.

While others are busy playing musical chairs in PF, he is firmly seated. You can keep doubting it, but reality has a way of embarrassing doubters. I assure you, you will be humbled again by my predictions.

In the end, the choice is simple:

Stay in PF and adjust to the new “family hierarchy”…
Or accept that the ground has shifted and move accordingly.

But one thing you can’t say again is this:
“We were not warned.”

TAYALI THE PUBLIC LAWYER OF THE PUBLIC COURT OF OPINIONS!!!

‎HH can’t direct Police to arrest Mundubile – State House

‎By Mubanga Mubanga

‎State House Chief Communications Specialist Clayson Hamasaka says President Hakainde Hichilema was not the one who directed the Zambia Police Service to arrest Tonse Alliance leader and Mporokoso member of parliament Brian Mundubile.

‎Speaking after being released from police detention at Ibex Police station on Friday,  Mundubile who spoke in Bemba warned President Hichilema that he had brought problems upon himself for arresting him over things he did not do.

‎”Today the message l have for HH, Hakainde Hichilema,.l am not scared, my friend. My friend, l am not scared. I am not a coward. This is not a very long meeting,” Mundubile said. “Let me reiterate what l was saying about my friend, HH, I am not a coward. For what you have done to me, for the false accusations against me, you have brought problems upon yourself.”

STOP THE MISREPRESENTATION, I STAND FOR UNITY, NOT DIVISION- Chanoda Ngwira

STOP THE MISREPRESENTATION, I STAND FOR UNITY, NOT DIVISION

By Chanoda Ngwira F

It is important to clearly address the growing allegations suggesting that I am opposed to Makebi or any other, and Brian Mundubile working together. At no point have I ever expressed such a position, and I never will.

I firmly believe in unity and oneness, especially in moments where collective strength is required. Any claims to the contrary are not only misleading but also undermine the very principle I consistently advocate for which is bringing people together for a common purpose.

That said, I will not shy away from stating that I have serious concerns regarding Makebi as well as many others, particularly in relation to the conduct of their supporters. There has been a persistent pattern of contemptuous behavior directed at Brian Mundubile by sections of Makebi’s and others camps. It is evident that these attacks have largely originated from that side, and naturally, such actions provoke reactions from Team Mundubile.

Unfortunately, when responses are made, they are often mischaracterized as aggression, creating a false narrative that unfairly paints Mundubile’s side as instigators rather than respondents.

The truth remains that Brian Mundubile has demonstrated undeniable popularity across the country, while Makebi and others are also steadily building their own influence.

If these forces come together, devoid of egos and unfounded stubbornness, they can form a formidable alliance capable of unseating the current regime.

Politically, Mundubile’s experience is unmatched and that can not be disputed, however, even strong leadership need complementary support just like it was and is in the UPND, despite HH being strong, he chose to work with the likes of Mutati and Milupi to mention but a few.

That is where Makebi and others bring value. Now more than ever, unity between the two and/or others is essential. It is better to sacrifice individual positions if it means securing greater collective power.

Ends…

ARREST HUNGER, NOT OPPONENTS

… Fr Lastone Lupupa says leaders must redirect the energy spent on jailing political rivals toward tackling poverty

By Charles Musonda

ZAMBIAN leaders must channel the same energy and resources spent on arresting opposition figures into fighting hunger and poverty, Father Lastone Lupupa has said.

Speaking in an interview with The Mast last Thursday, Fr Lupupa who is also Christian Nation FM chief executive director, said the resources being devoted to pursuing opposition leaders could, if redirected, make a meaningful dent in ending poverty and hunger afflicting millions of ordinary Zambians.

“If we can arrest hunger, if we can arrest poverty the way we have been arresting human beings in the last four years, then there will be no hunger in this nation,” he said.

He said the United Party for National Development (UPND) government could have eliminated hunger and poverty in its last four years in government.

“We would have incarcerated, we would have jailed hunger, we would have jailed poverty. In other words, it is the system that is supposed to be arrested. If there are constant accidents on the road and you keep on focusing on the drivers, you might miss the point. Why don’t we examine the vehicles or the roads?” he said.

Fr Lupupa said if the UPND government was genuinely interested in helping the people of Zambia, it would have begun by addressing the systemic>>read more>> https://mastmediazm.com/2026/03/arrest-hunger-not-opponents-fr-lupupa/

Iran says Donald Trump has retreated

0

Tensions between the United States and Iran have taken a sharp rhetorical turn, with Tehran declaring that President Donald Trump has “retreated,” despite Washington signaling ongoing diplomatic progress.

Iranian officials and state-linked outlets claim the United States pulled back from the brink of military escalation after issuing threats against Iran’s energy infrastructure. Iran had promised a similar retaliatory assure against US linked oil infrastructure in the Gulf region.

Trump had claimed earlier today via his social media platform, Truth Social, that there were talks with Tehran – a claim disputed as false by Iran.

“I am pleased to report that the United States of America and the country of Iran have had, over the last two days, very good and productive conversations regarding a complete and total resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East,” Trump wrote. He added that, based on the “tone” of discussions, he had instructed the Department of Defense to postpone any military strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for five days, pending further talks.

However, Iranian officials quickly rejected the claims of talks between the two countries.

In a statement circulated by Iran’s embassy in Afghanistan, officials framed the delay not as diplomacy, but as capitulation. “Retreat after Iran’s firm warning,” the statement read. “After the Islamic Republic threatened that in the event of any U.S. attack on Iran’s energy infrastructure, it would target energy infrastructure across the entire region, Trump backed down and issued an order to postpone the attack.”

Iranian media outlets echoed the claim, with Fars News Agency citing an unnamed source who insisted there had been no direct or indirect contact with Trump “not even through an intermediary.” The source further alleged that the U.S. president reversed course only after being warned of sweeping retaliation targeting power facilities across the Gulf and Israel.

Joe Kent, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, resigned on Tuesday, 17 March 2026, in protest. In a resignation letter posted publicly, Kent stated: “I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation.”

Kent further alleged that claims of an imminent threat—advanced by both Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—were false. He argued that pressure from Israel and its allies contributed to the decision to go to war.

In the letter, Kent also accused “high-ranking Israeli officials and influential members of the American media” of promoting what he described as a misinformation campaign that encouraged military action. He warned that the situation echoed past justifications used in the lead-up to the Iraq War.

A former special forces warrant officer who served under Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Kent cited both his intelligence background and combat experience in opposing the conflict.

Oil Prices Plunge 8-11% as Trump Announces Productive U.S.-Iran Talks and Pauses Strikes

Oil Prices Plunge 8-11% as Trump Announces Productive U.S.-Iran Talks and Pauses Strikes

Crude oil futures dropped sharply Monday after President Trump reported “very good and productive” conversations with Iran aimed at resolving Middle East hostilities. He also ordered a temporary halt on planned U.S. strikes against Iranian power plants and energy sites.

WTI crude fell to around $84-$92 per barrel from recent highs near $100, with Brent sliding to about $103-$105 after topping $110-$114 earlier. Markets reacted swiftly to the de-escalation signal, trimming the risk premium tied to the ongoing conflict and Strait of Hormuz disruptions.

Trump described the talks as ongoing, with potential progress within days, though Iranian officials denied formal negotiations were underway. The announcement eased fears of wider escalation but left traders wary of volatility if talks stall.

Stocks rebounded on the news as lower energy costs supported broader sentiment. The move reflects a classic market response: relief on any hint of reduced geopolitical risk, even amid conflicting signals from Tehran.

Iran denies blocking Hormuz, blames insurers as shipping stalls amid war fears

Iran has rejected claims of a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the waterway remains open, while disruptions are driven by maritime insurers wary of escalating conflict involving the United States and Israel

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that freedom of navigation cannot exist without freedom of trade, urging rival parties to avoid military threats and respect sovereignty

He stressed that pressure tactics would not alter Iran’s position or restore confidence among insurers, as long as the risk of conflict persists in the region

Shipping industry reports indicate that war risk insurance premiums have surged sharply, prompting many carriers to suspend transits through the Strait of Hormuz to avoid exposure to potential losses

The development underscores how financial risk and insurance markets are increasingly shaping real-world shipping flows, even without a formal blockade in place

Iran Pulls Back From Saudi Arabia, Spares Qatar — But Gulf States Remain In The Crosshairs

Iran Pulls Back From Saudi Arabia, Spares Qatar — But Gulf States Remain In The Crosshairs

Iran has quietly recalibrated its strike strategy across the Gulf, deciding to limit attacks on Saudi Arabia and halt targeting of Qatar entirely a significant shift driven by fear of direct Saudi military retaliation.

According to two sources cited by The Jerusalem Post, Iranian officials believe the Saudis are “on edge” and assess that continued large-scale attacks risk triggering a Saudi strike on Iran itself a step Riyadh has so far avoided.

Since the war began on February 28, Iran has launched over 430 missiles and drones at Saudi Arabia, targeting the Eastern Province, the Shaybah oil field, and Prince Sultan Air Base near Al-Kharj. Saudi officials had privately warned Tehran that any attack on electricity generation or water desalination facilities would force the Kingdom to respond militarily.

Despite the pullback on Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Iran has indicated that strikes on Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE will continue as usual, according to the same sources.

The recalibration comes as the situation on the ground grows increasingly volatile:

Saudi Arabia expelled Iran’s military attache and four embassy staff on Saturday, declaring them persona non grata following what Riyadh called “blatant” and “repeated” attacks. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan warned that the Kingdom’s patience is not unlimited and that it reserves the right to take military action “if deemed necessary.”

Saudi Arabia has also formally allowed U.S. forces to use its bases for operations against Iran a policy shift that raises the direct stakes between Tehran and Riyadh considerably.

Iran’s missile launch rate has declined sharply. U.S. Central Command reports ballistic missile launches have dropped approximately 90 percent from peak levels. Israeli officials say Iran has lost more than 300 ballistic missile launchers roughly 60 to 65 percent of its operational capacity since the conflict began.

What this means: Iran is managing escalation thresholds country by country, fearful that one miscalculation with Saudi Arabia could open a new front it cannot afford. The Gulf’s patience, however, is visibly running out.

Saudi Analyst Warns: Saudi Entry into Iran War Would Trigger Pakistan Pact, Rally 50+ Muslim Nations

Saudi Analyst Warns: Saudi Entry into Iran War Would Trigger Pakistan Pact, Rally 50+ Muslim Nations

A Saudi geopolitical analyst has issued a stark warning amid rising tensions in the region. If Saudi Arabia fully enters the conflict involving Iran, he claims, the kingdom would activate its mutual defense agreement with Pakistan—signed in September 2025—and draw in more than 50 Muslim countries against Tehran.

In a recent interview clip circulating online, the analyst stated:

“If the Saudis were to decide to enter with complete force… Iran is going to be the biggest loser because Saudi Arabia will activate its bilateral defence agreement with Pakistan.”

He added that this would create a “nuclear umbrella” over the kingdom, framing the scenario as a potential nightmare for Iran leading to its decisive defeat.

The comments highlight the strategic weight some observers place on the Saudi-Pakistan pact, which treats aggression against one as aggression against both.

However, the prediction remains highly speculative given Pakistan’s complex regional balancing act, its significant Shia population, and widespread calls for de-escalation across the Muslim world.

NATO Pledges Action to Reopen Strait of Hormuz Amid Iran Crisis

NATO Pledges Action to Reopen Strait of Hormuz Amid Iran Crisis

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte declared the alliance “absolutely convinced” it can reopen the Strait of Hormuz, closed by Iran in response to U.S. and Israeli military operations.

Speaking Sunday, Rutte said more than 20 countries—mostly NATO members plus partners like Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, the UAE, and Bahrain—are coordinating closely with the United States to restore navigation through the vital chokepoint.

He described joint planning as essential, called Iran’s actions an existential threat to global security, and praised recent U.S. efforts as crucial. The statement follows President Trump’s March 22 ultimatum demanding Iran lift restrictions within 48 hours or face strikes on its power infrastructure.

The Strait carries about one-fifth of the world’s oil supply. Its closure has driven Brent crude prices sharply higher, threatening energy markets and economies worldwide.

While Rutte expressed strong confidence in allied resolve, NATO has no formal mandate for direct combat operations in the Gulf, and European members remain cautious about escalation risks.

PRISON LETTER DROPS BOMBSHELL CLAIMS ABOUT RAMAPHOSA’S PHALA PHALA FARM

PRISON LETTER DROPS BOMBSHELL CLAIMS ABOUT RAMAPHOSA’S PHALA PHALA FARM!

A shocking prison letter presented by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has ignited fresh controversy around President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The handwritten letter alleges that businessman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala played a role in transporting furniture — including couches — to Phala Phala… the same farm at the centre of the explosive 2020 cash theft scandal.

According to the letter, former inmate Jermaine Prim claims Matlala bragged about being “very close” to the Ramaphosas and personally delivering items to the Limpopo property — where millions in foreign currency were allegedly hidden.

⚠️ Mkhwanazi has warned that the claims are NOT yet verified and require further investigation — but says some details match existing intelligence.

Now the pressure is mounting…

❗ The Presidency has remained silent
❗ Opposition parties are demanding urgent answers
❗ And questions about prison oversight failures are growing louder

If these claims are proven true, this could change everything in a scandal that has followed Ramaphosa for years.

🔥 South Africans, what do you think:
Is this a real breakthrough… or just another unproven allegation?

IDF Strikes Down Hezbollah’s Elite Radwan Commander in Precision Airstrike

IDF Strikes Down Hezbollah’s Elite Radwan Commander in Precision Airstrike

The Israeli Air Force has eliminated Abu Khalil Barji, commander of the special forces unit within Hezbollah’s Radwan Force, along with two other terrorists. The targeted strike hit the Majdal Selm area of southern Lebanon on Saturday.

Barji, a long-time Radwan operative recently elevated to lead its special operations, directed attacks against Israeli troops and planned cross-border infiltrations. His removal deals a serious blow to Hezbollah’s elite infiltration capabilities amid ongoing conflict.

The IDF confirmed the operation as part of broader efforts to degrade Hezbollah infrastructure in the region. Good riddance to a key terrorist figure responsible for threatening Israeli security.

Iranian Cluster Missiles Pierce Israeli Defenses, Rain Down on Tel Aviv

Iranian Cluster Missiles Pierce Israeli Defenses, Rain Down on Tel Aviv

Iran has launched a fresh barrage of missiles armed with cluster munitions directly over Tel Aviv, bypassing elements of Israel’s vaunted Iron Dome system.

Explosions lit up the night sky as dozens of bomblets scattered across the city, injuring dozens and causing visible damage in civilian areas.

The strike comes amid escalating retaliation in the ongoing U.S.-Israel war with Iran. Iran’s Foreign Minister bluntly rejected President Trump’s 48-hour ultimatum to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, declaring that threats will not sway Tehran and calling instead for respect.

Israel’s air defenses face mounting strain: intercepting low-cost Iranian projectiles demands expensive countermeasures, raising questions about long-term sustainability.

Civilian casualties mount on both sides as the conflict shows no signs of de-escalation, with global oil markets on edge and fears of wider regional involvement growing.

Iran Officially Denies Targeting Diego Garcia, Calls Accusations an “Israeli False Flag”

Breaking News : Iran Officially Denies Targeting Diego Garcia, Calls Accusations an “Israeli False Flag”

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has formally denied any involvement in the missile attack on the joint U.S.-U.K. military base at Diego Garcia, dismissing the allegations as deliberate disinformation.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei issued a public statement on Monday, calling the accusations an “Israeli false flag” and saying they lack credibility. He pointed to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte’s refusal to endorse Israel’s claim as evidence, stating the world has grown “thoroughly exhausted” with such narratives.

The denial follows a Wall Street Journal report, citing multiple U.S. officials, that two intermediate-range ballistic missiles were fired toward Diego Garcia, neither of which struck the base. The UK Ministry of Defence separately confirmed to CNBC that Iran had “unsuccessfully” targeted the facility.

A separate senior Iranian official had earlier told Al Jazeera that Tehran was “not responsible for the missile attacks on Diego Garcia and is not behind them.”

Israel’s military had attributed the strike to Iran, with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir asserting the missiles demonstrated a 4,000 km range, putting European capitals within reach. The UK government, however, pushed back on that specific claim, with Housing Minister Stephen Reed telling the BBC there was “no assessment supporting what is being said.”

The incident remains contested. Iran’s denial is on record. NATO has declined to confirm Israel’s attribution. The UK has confirmed the attack occurred but has not verified the missile type or range claimed by Israel.

MAKEBI ZULU SETS TONE FOR UNITY AND CALLS FOR ZAMBIA’S “SECOND INDEPENDENCE”

MAKEBI ZULU SETS TONE FOR UNITY AND CALLS FOR ZAMBIA’S “SECOND INDEPENDENCE”

By Brian Matambo | Sandton, South Africa

Makebi Zulu made an immediate media appearance after being unveiled as the new President of the Patriotic Front Party in Lusaka on Sunday, 22 March 2026. The Patriotic Front Party was founded in 2001 by the late President Michael Chilufya Sata, who died in 2014. The late former President Dr Edgar Chagwa Lungu then took over and led the party until his death in June 2025.

Makebi Zulu, who is also a former Member of Parliament for Malambo Constituency and a former Minister for Eastern Province, is the spokesperson for the Lungu family. Since the death of former President Lungu, Makebi Zulu has stood by the family. When Makebi Zulu returned to Lusaka to run his campaign for president, Makebi Zulu was called names such as Chola Boy and Malukula and was insulted by UPND cadres for standing with the Lungu family.

But when Makebi Zulu finally spoke after his election, the tone was not bitter. It was measured, unifying, and deliberate.

Appearing live on Ambassador Emmanuel Mwamba’s platform, Makebi Zulu used his first interview not to boast about victory, but to define what it should mean for the Patriotic Front and for the country. He described his election as a journey of healing, a phrase that captured both the condition of the party and the task now before him.

That emphasis was important. The Patriotic Front has gone through years of internal strain, defections, legal disputes, and leadership battles. At one stage, eleven aspirants were associated with the race for the top position. By the time voting came, the field had narrowed, but the perception of division remained. Makebi Zulu’s first assignment, therefore, was to calm the waters. He did exactly that.

Rather than diminishing the men he defeated, Makebi Zulu praised them. He made it clear that leadership did not mean he was greater than the rest. He described the position as that of a first among equals, and in so doing signalled that the PF would need every serious hand if it is to regain its footing and prepare for the larger national contest ahead.

One of the most memorable moments of the interview came from a caller in Rome, Father Pombo, who invoked the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi, the art of repairing broken pottery with gold. The point was plain. The Patriotic Front may be cracked, but it need not remain broken. Makebi Zulu embraced the image and said he would like to be the glue that holds the clay cup together. It was a sharp and effective response. In a single phrase, Makebi Zulu positioned himself as a man of repair rather than division.

From there, Makebi Zulu widened the conversation beyond party recovery and into the national crisis facing Zambia. He framed the 2026 struggle as one for a Second Independence. By that, Makebi Zulu meant a new political culture, entailing moving away from the politics of vengeance, division, persecution, and prosecution to turn a new page for the country. Bringing back freedom of speech for citizens. Ensuring that the cost of living is lowered. And ensuring that the resources owned by the country actually work for the benefit and well-being of the Zambian people, rather than being drained away or working for the well-being of other countries

Makebi Zulu also struck at the current style of governance, arguing that a country cannot be run as a mere balance sheet while citizens are sinking under the weight of hardship. He asked the questions that now dominate ordinary life in Zambia: have people eaten, have they accessed capital, and have their lives genuinely improved? It was one of the strongest parts of his appearance because it moved the conversation from political theatre to lived reality.

There was the usual constitutional edge to Makebi Zulu’s message. He spoke about restoring respect for human rights, ensuring that institutions of governance serve the people, and changing the Constitution so that presidential power is restrained by law. That matters because it gives his message shape. Makebi Zulu is not only trying to emerge as a party leader. Makebi Zulu is trying to define himself as a reform candidate.

He also made a clear appeal for wider opposition unity. According to Makebi Zulu, Zambia does not need scattered opposition voices pulling in different directions while the country’s problems deepen. Zambia needs a serious and coordinated alternative. That message was later reinforced by the Patriotic Front Council of Elders, which welcomed the election of Makebi Zulu and expressed confidence that his leadership would restore confidence and energy in the party while helping foster togetherness in the opposition.

What emerged from this first appearance was simple. Makebi Zulu wanted to steady his party, reassure supporters, and present himself as a leader with both restraint and purpose. It was not a victory lap. It was an opening statement.

Makebi Zulu, to many, represents a breath of fresh air, an opportunity to finish building the National House of Prayer, which is Zambia’s symbol of the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation. At only 44, Makebi Zulu is expected to unseat Hakainde Hichilema, whose popularity is rapidly fading.

Miles Sampa Pushes Back on PF Convention Claims as Party Leadership Dispute Remains Before Court

🇿🇲 BRIEFING | Sampa Pushes Back on PF Convention Claims as Party Leadership Dispute Remains Before Court

Matero Member of Parliament Miles Sampa has dismissed claims that the Patriotic Front (PF) has held a convention, insisting that any such process can only take place once the courts clear the way.

In remarks issued through a voice note to ZNBC, Sampa stated that the party remains bound by an existing court order and has not conducted any legally recognised convention.

“The PF will only hold a convention once the court order is discharged.”

At face value, this is a procedural clarification.

But in context, it reflects a deeper struggle over control, legitimacy, and process within the opposition party.

The PF’s leadership question remains unresolved.

A restraining order issued by Kabwe Judge-in-Charge Hancubwili Limbani has effectively frozen attempts to formalise leadership structures through a convention. This places the party in a holding position, where competing claims cannot be settled through internal processes alone.

Sampa’s position reinforces a legal route.

It signals an insistence that legitimacy must flow from court-sanctioned processes rather than parallel political actions, particularly at a time when rival narratives around leadership continue to circulate.

The confusion is not incidental. It is structural.

SACCORD Executive Director Arthur Muyunda noted that the party risks prolonged uncertainty if it does not adhere strictly to legal procedures, urging PF leaders to engage and resolve their differences within the confines of the law.

“There is a pending court matter to determine the leadership of the Patriotic Front.”

The warning reflects a broader concern.

Repeated attempts to move ahead of court processes, including discussions around conventions, have added to internal fragmentation and public uncertainty around who holds legitimate authority within the party.

The timing is sensitive.

With the political calendar narrowing toward dissolution, the PF faces pressure to present a coherent structure ahead of the electoral cycle. Delays in resolving leadership disputes could weaken organisational readiness and messaging.

Sampa’s intervention draws a line.

It positions the courts as the final arbiter of legitimacy while cautioning party structures against acting on contested processes.

What remains unclear is whether this position will hold across all factions.

Or whether competing moves toward consolidation will continue despite legal constraints.

For now, the PF’s path forward remains tied to the courts.

And until that process is resolved, its leadership question remains open.

Makebi Zulu and Esther Lungu to Withdraw Burial Case, Plans June 5 Anniversary Interment Amid Political Undertones

Makebi and Esther Lungu to Withdraw Burial Case, Plans June 5 Anniversary Interment Amid Political Undertones

Sources within the PF indicate that its new faction leader, Makebi Zulu, together with late President Edgar Lungu’s widow, Esther Lungu, have agreed to withdraw the burial case from the South African courts.

The reported plan is to proceed with the burial in Lusaka on 5th June, coinciding with the first anniversary of his memorial.

It is understood that this timing is intended to bolster Makebi Zulu’s presidential campaign by appealing to public sympathy.-ZWD

The PF Contest is Sharpening

The PF Contest is Sharpening

Contrast of tone and trajectory, as Makebi Zulu and Brian Mundubile project distinctly different political instincts.

Makebi Zulu presents a controlled, lawyerly image-measured, structured, and deliberate-yet his proximity to Edgar Lungu keeps him anchored within a familiar political orbit.

Lungu himself was less about legal precision and more about relaxed populism – approachable, informal, and closely aligned with grassroots political energy that thrived on loyalty and visible connection.

Brian Mundubile, however, appears to be carving a more confrontational path, especially after his brief detention experience, projecting resilience and a readiness to engage power directly.

That evolving posture increasingly echoes elements associated with Michael Sata – firm, vocal, and unafraid to channel public frustration into political messaging.

This leaves the PF straddling two familiar legacies: one tied to relaxed populist connection, the other to assertive, confrontational mobilisation, both rooted in Zambia’s recent political past.

Yet the national mood is gradually shifting, with growing attention placed on consistency, economic direction, and visible progress rather than personality-driven political theatre.

In that context, the real contest may no longer be about who reflects past styles best, but about alignment with a steadily maturing expectation for economic stability and delivery.

Murdered Chingola woman has left behind 6 children and a traumatized husband

Eneless Hellen Kamutumbe, the 46-year old woman who was murdered by a violent mob in Kalumbila district has left behind six children and a husband who loved her dearly.

And Eneless’ husband is said to be in shock and has not uttered a word since the news of her death.

On Friday, a murderous mob descended on Eneless, a Chingola based mother who had travelled to Kalumbila on a business trip after a 25-year old lad accused her of magically stealing his manhood after seeing her at Kisansa Market

Since the incident, police have arrested eight people including Prince Ntambo, the person who claimed to have had lost his manhood.

Eneless’ brother-in-law confirmed that she was a family woman with six children.

Milady Ngoma said the youngest of the children was two years old.

He confirmed that Eneless was in Kalumbila district, Northwestern Province for business, as she was involved in a number of businesses.

“The widower was in constant communication with the deceased until around 09:00 hours the same day the incident occurred and him hearing about her death has left him in shock,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ngoma has called on government, through Zambia Information and Communication Technology Agency (ZICTA), to find ways and means of having the videos and pictures of the incident deleted from social media.

He said the social media videos and photos of Eneless’ during her last moments were painful and traumatising especially to her husband and children.

Ngoma further called for security during and after the funeral, stating that no one knows what the mob would do next.

US Strikes Hit Iranian Coastal Targets in Push to Secure Strait of Hormuz

US Strikes Hit Iranian Coastal Targets in Push to Secure Strait of Hormuz

Unconfirmed but multiple reports indicate US airstrikes targeted Iranian coastal sites including Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Bandar Lengeh, and Qeshm Island on March 22, 2026. The strikes appear aimed at degrading Iran’s remaining naval, missile, and air defense assets along the Strait of Hormuz.

This follows President Trump’s 48-hour ultimatum demanding Iran reopen the strait, a critical chokepoint for roughly 20 percent of global oil transit. Iran has maintained a partial blockade amid the ongoing conflict, driving oil prices sharply higher.

The US has already destroyed thousands of Iranian military targets and dozens of naval vessels since operations intensified in early March. These latest reported strikes focus on softening defenses to ensure safe passage through the vital waterway.

No official US confirmation has emerged yet. Details remain preliminary and subject to verification.

Netanyahu Warns: Iran Threatens the Entire World – And Israel, With U.S. Backing, Will Stop It

Netanyahu Warns: Iran Threatens the Entire World – And Israel, With U.S. Backing, Will Stop It

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stark warning from the site of an Iranian missile strike in Arad on March 22, 2026, declaring that recent attacks prove the Iranian regime endangers global security – including Europe and key U.S. interests.

Speaking in English, Netanyahu highlighted three major provocations in the past 48 hours:

– Iran targeted civilian areas as a deliberate mass-murder weapon.
– It fired missiles near Jerusalem, dangerously close to holy sites sacred to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam – the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
– It launched an intercontinental ballistic missile at Diego Garcia, the joint U.S.-U.K. base in the Indian Ocean, 4,000 kilometers away.

Netanyahu’s statement:

“If you want proof that Iran endangers the entire world, the last 48 hours have given it. Iran fired towards Jerusalem, near the holy sites of the three religions – the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

They launched an intercontinental ballistic missile at Diego Garcia. I warn about this all the time. They now have the ability to reach deep into Europe. They have already fired at European countries, Cyprus. They are blocking an international sea route, an energy route, and are trying to blackmail the entire world.

What more proof do you need that this regime, which threatens the entire world, must be stopped? Israel and the United States are working together for the entire world. And it is time for the leaders of other countries to join in. I am happy to say that I see that some are starting to move in this direction, but more is needed. It is time to act.

We have set two clear goals. To completely dismantle their nuclear and missile programs, and to completely dismantle their ability to produce the components for both of those programs. We are well on our way to achieving that. We have also set a goal to create the conditions that will allow the Iranian people to overthrow this tyranny, and I hope we will achieve that as well.

I think President Trump knows exactly what he is doing, and everything we do, we do together, and as much as possible in secrecy.”

Netanyahu stressed close coordination with President Trump and urged other nations to step up against what he called a fanatic regime bent on blackmail and destruction.

He framed the fight as one Israel and America wage on behalf of the free world – with decisive action already underway to eliminate the nuclear and missile threats once and for all.

Major Security Breach — Israeli Reservist Charged with Leaking Iron Dome Intelligence to Iran

Breaking News : Major Security Breach — Israeli Reservist Charged with Leaking Iron Dome Intelligence to Iran

Israeli authorities have arrested and indicted a 26-year-old reservist, identified as Raz Cohen, on charges of espionage and transferring sensitive military information to Iranian intelligence. The case, confirmed by Israeli officials in mid-March 2026, marks a serious internal security breach involving one of Israel’s most critical air defense systems.

According to the indictment, Cohen maintained contact with Iranian intelligence handlers over a period of time and knowingly cooperated with them. During this engagement, he allegedly provided classified information related to the Iron Dome system, including operational details and deployment locations. He is also accused of sharing information about Israeli Air Force bases and other strategic military sites.

The investigation was carried out jointly by the Israeli Security Agency (Shin Bet) and the Lahav 433 unit of the Israeli Police. Authorities stated that the accused received financial compensation, including cryptocurrency payments, in exchange for the intelligence.

Officials have described the case as a significant counterintelligence success, while also highlighting continued efforts by Iranian intelligence to recruit individuals with access to sensitive military systems inside Israel.

Iranian missiles now capable of reaching US  Military base in Kenya

Iranian missiles now capable of reaching Kenya and Russia

Recent reports suggest that Iran has expanded its missile capabilities, potentially allowing strikes as far as Kenya in Africa and Russia in Eurasia.

Most notably, Iran launched two ballistic missiles at the US‑UK military base on Diego Garcia, located roughly 4,000 kilometres from Iranian territory in the Indian Ocean.

One missile failed mid‑flight, and the other was intercepted, but the attempt demonstrates Iran’s growing long-range reach.

These developments raise serious concerns about global security and force countries to rethink air defence and strategic preparedness.

The Guinean Football Federation has officially denied rumours of contesting Morocco’s 1976 AFCON win; says claims are baseless!

🚨OFFICIAL: The Guinean Football Federation has officially denied rumours of contesting Morocco’s 1976 AFCON win; says claims are baseless!

The statement reads: “The Guinean Football Federation (FGF) announces to the national and international public that it has not initiated any procedure with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) or the African Football Confederation (CAF) regarding the 1976 Africa Cup of Nations.

Recent information circulating on various platforms, especially social media, falsely suggests Guinea is contesting the result of the match between the Syli National team and Morocco.

The FGF clarifies these claims are inaccurate and baseless. The match took place on March 14, 1976, in Addis Ababa, refereed by Zambian Nyirenda Chayu, and ended 1-1. Guinea led at 33 minutes through Chérif Souleymane, Morocco equalized at 86 minutes via Ahmed Makrouh “Baba”.

The FGF notes the competition had no traditional final; teams played a final group stage, Morocco topped it to win the title, Guinea was second.

The FGF reaffirms commitment to historical facts and sports regulations, asks media to share verified info and avoid confusion, promoting fair play, mutual respect, and African football unity.”

Iran does not respect any rules of war – several Western spokesmen and media outlets have said

Iran does not respect any rules of war – several Western spokesmen and media outlets have said.

Defense experts say that no modern warfare strategy works for Iran. 500-meter-deep in mountains missile bases have been built in all 31 provinces.

No launch pads can be seen by drones, so it has become difficult to take advance warning of attacks.

The report claims that the missiles are coming out of the tunnel and entering the inside by firing missiles, so it has been identified as invisible. It cannot be destroyed.

Western military experts have called it Invisible, Unkillable, Unstoppable.

The United States has been saying for several days that Iran’s missile capabilities have been destroyed, but the media was surprised that 7 missiles were fired yesterday.

A French commander said that Trump is getting involved in an unwanted war that was not needed and that he probably has no control over.

Now entering this war is like buying a ticket to board the Titanic the night before it sinks.

Trump’s U.S Patriot Systems fail to protect Gulf allies

Trump’s U.S Patriot Systems fail to protect Gulf allies

As tensions rise in the Gulf, growing scrutiny is being placed on the performance of the MIM-104 Patriot air defence system supplied by the United States.

Recent reports suggest that missile strikes linked to Iran have exposed potential weaknesses in the system. In Riffa Air Base, alleged strikes are said to have damaged key Patriot components, while in Fujairah, oil facilities were reportedly hit despite active air defence measures.

Footage and defence assessments indicate that operators are increasingly firing multiple interceptors per incoming target…raising concerns about both efficiency and reliability.

Critics point out that similar doubts have surfaced in past conflicts, including in Ukraine, where the system’s effectiveness has at times appeared limited against sustained and complex Russian missile and drone attacks.

The situation is fueling debate over whether the Patriot system, long promoted by Washington as a cornerstone of modern air defence, is capable of handling evolving missile and drone threats.

U.S. Deploys 4,500 Marines and Sailors as Tensions Rise Around Strait of Hormuz

Breaking News : U.S. Deploys 4,500 Marines and Sailors as Tensions Rise Around Strait of Hormuz

The United States is rapidly reinforcing its military presence in the Middle East, with approximately 4,500 Marines and sailors being positioned for potential operations linked to the security of the Strait of Hormuz.

The deployment brings together multiple Marine Expeditionary Units along with amphibious warfare capabilities, signaling a significant escalation in readiness.

According to verified reporting, the buildup includes a combination of ground forces, naval assets, and advanced air support as part of a broader effort to ensure maritime security in one of the world’s most strategically critical waterways.

The Strait of Hormuz handles a substantial portion of global oil shipments, making any disruption a major international concern.

U.S. officials have framed the deployment as part of contingency planning to secure and maintain freedom of navigation in the region. While no formal announcement of a direct offensive operation has been made, the scale and composition of forces indicate preparedness for rapid response, including amphibious missions if required.

This move comes amid heightened tensions involving Iran and growing concerns over potential threats to commercial shipping routes.

The presence of additional forces already en route further underscores Washington’s intent to maintain operational flexibility and deterrence in the region.

China could cripple U.S. naval power in minutes, officials warn

Recent warnings from U.S. defense officials suggest that China possesses advanced missile systems capable of threatening key assets of the United States Navy in the opening phase of a conflict.

The concern centers around hypersonic and anti-ship ballistic missiles that could potentially target aircraft carriers and strike groups within minutes if detection and targeting systems are successful.

However, experts stress that claims China could sink the entire U.S. fleet in 20 minutes are exaggerated, as American naval forces are globally dispersed and heavily defended.

The warning highlights a shifting balance in naval warfare, where speed, precision, and missile technology are becoming decisive factors.

Rising concerns as Iranian missiles show improved accuracy, possible advanced capabilities

Rising concerns as Iranian missiles show improved accuracy, possible advanced capabilities

Recent reports suggest that Iranian missile strikes are increasingly reaching their targets, with some projectiles appearing to slow mid-air and maneuver to evade interception systems before impact

Analysts are questioning whether this reflects the use of more advanced technologies, such as multiple independently targetable reentry vehicles (MIRVs), or whether Israel’s air defense systems are facing strain under sustained pressure

There are also claims that Iran has deployed its latest hypersonic missile, the Fattah-2, in strikes targeting Israeli territory, potentially marking a shift in operational capability

However, many of these observations remain unverified, and experts caution that both technical factors and battlefield conditions could be influencing the outcomes being observed

IRAN’S ECONOMY HAS CRASHED SEVERELY-Yesterday their reserve bank introduced a new bank note,10 million Rials which is equivalent to only 7 USD

The Central Bank of Iran has introduced a new, record-high denomination banknote, the 10 million rial note: often referred to as a “one-million-toman” Iran-Chek, as of March 2026.

This is the highest-value note in Iran’s history.

The launch is an emergency measure to address severe cash shortages, high inflation (exceeding 60%), and to provide physical currency during banking pressures related to ongoing conflicts.

Despite its high denomination, the note is worth roughly only $7 USD. It was introduced just weeks after the 5 million rial note was issued in February 2026, highlighting the rapid devaluation of the currency.

This new banknote is being released as citizens are rushing to ATMs and banks to withdraw cash, leading to long queues and reports of cash shortages at banks

US and Israel Intelligence Suggests Missing Iran Leader Mojtaba Khamenei Is Alive

US and Israel Intelligence Suggests Missing Iran Leader Mojtaba Khamenei Is Alive

The mystery of Iran’s new Supreme Leader has taken a bizarre turn. While he has not been seen or heard from since the war began, the latest intelligence from the U.S. and Israel suggests Mojtaba Khamenei is indeed alive—though his actual condition remains a “big red flag.”

Here is the breakdown of the “Proof of Life” standoff currently gripping global intelligence.

Intel Says “Alive,” but Public Says “Missing”

Despite being the face of the Iranian regime, Mojtaba Khamenei’s absence has become impossible to ignore:

• The Nowruz No-Show: Analysts expected a video address for the Iranian New Year (Nowruz) this weekend. Instead, the regime released only a written statement and a still photo that the CIA is currently investigating for AI manipulation.

• The Meeting Requests: Axios reports that U.S. and Israeli services believe he is alive because Iranian officials continue to request meetings with him, even though most are being denied for “security reasons.”

• “Beyond Weird”: A U.S. official described the situation as “beyond weird,” noting, “We don’t think they’d choose a dead guy as leader, but we have no proof he’s actually taking the helm.”

“Weekend at Ayatollah’s”

The lack of visibility has led to sharp criticism and dark humor from Washington:

• Fetterman’s Viral Call: Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) compared the situation to a comedy where a dead boss is propped up to look alive, demanding that Iran provide actual “proof of life.”

• The Power Vacuum: Intelligence suggests that while Khamenei may be alive, the IRGC (Revolutionary Guard) is likely the one truly running the country while the leader remains “unseen and unheard.”

Is He Wounded or Hiding?

While the U.S. believes he is alive, his physical state is a subject of intense debate:

• Disfigurement Claims: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated recently that Khamenei was wounded and “likely disfigured” in the strikes that killed his father.

• The Coma Rumor: Some reports, including from The Sun, claim he is in a coma at Sina University Hospital after losing a leg and suffering severe internal damage.

Suspected US-Operated Patriot Missile Linked to Bahrain Blast Amid Rising Iran Tensions

Breaking News : Suspected US-Operated Patriot Missile Linked to Bahrain Blast Amid Rising Iran Tensions

A powerful explosion in Bahrain is now under intense scrutiny after reports suggested that a US-operated Patriot air defense missile may have been involved, raising fresh concerns over the widening scope of the ongoing regional tensions involving Iran.

According to initial findings cited in the report, the blast is believed to be linked to a Patriot missile system, which is typically used to intercept incoming aerial threats such as ballistic missiles and drones. The system is widely deployed by the United States and its allies across the Middle East, including in Bahrain, where the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet is headquartered.

The incident reportedly occurred during a period of heightened alert, as regional air defense systems remain active due to fears of potential Iranian retaliation or escalation. While officials have not issued a full public confirmation detailing the exact sequence of events, early assessments suggest that the explosion could have resulted from either a missile interception attempt or a malfunction involving the Patriot system.

Defense analysts noted that Patriot systems have been heavily utilized in recent days amid increasing aerial threats across the region. If confirmed, the involvement of a US-operated system in the Bahrain blast could signal the intensity of current military operations and the risks associated with high-alert defense postures.

Authorities have yet to confirm casualties or the extent of damage caused by the explosion. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether the blast was the result of a successful interception, a technical failure, or another operational factor.

The development comes as tensions between Iran and Western-aligned forces continue to escalate, with multiple incidents reported across the Middle East involving missile activity, air defense responses, and military deployments.

Netanyahu Declares Israel Faces “Existential Threat” After Iranian Strikes Escalate Conflict

Breaking News : Netanyahu Declares Israel Faces “Existential Threat” After Iranian Strikes Escalate Conflict

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described the ongoing confrontation with Iran as an “existential threat”, following the latest wave of Iranian strikes targeting regional infrastructure and escalating tensions across the Middle East.

In his March 21–22 address, Netanyahu stated that Israel is confronting a situation that goes beyond conventional conflict, framing it as a high-stakes struggle impacting not only Israel’s security but broader regional stability. He emphasized that recent developments represent a critical phase in the confrontation with Iran, with Israel prepared to take necessary actions to counter what it sees as a direct threat to its survival.

The remarks come amid heightened military activity and growing concerns of a wider regional escalation. Netanyahu reiterated that Israel’s operations are focused on neutralizing threats posed by Iran’s capabilities, particularly in light of recent attacks and rising tensions across multiple fronts.

His statement reinforces Israel’s long-standing position that Iran’s military and strategic posture represents a fundamental challenge to its national security, now entering what officials describe as a decisive and dangerous stage.
