WE WILL ALLOW THE LUNGU FAMILY FULFIL ITS WISHES- SOUTH AFRICAN  GOVERNMENT

THE South African Government says it will allow the family of the late former President Edgar Lungu to proceed with their burial wishes.

Department of International Relations and Cooperation spokesperson Chrispin Phiri said the South African Government has no choice but to respect the family’s decision to have the former president laid to rest in South Africa.

“And that was precisely the purpose of Minister Ronald Ozzy Lamola’s visit to Lusaka, to firstly share the country’s condolences on the passing of President Lungu, and also to say that South Africa does acknowledge the importance of a nation burying its former president,” he said.

Mr Phiri said the South African Government is legally bound to follow what the family requires.

“But this also comes on the back of us having legal obligations to honour the family’s wishes, as they are resident in South Africa,” Mr Phiri said.

He, however, said the move should not be seen as disrespectful to the wishes of the Zambian Government.

“It should not be seen in any way as us not wishing to respect the Zambian Government’s wishes or as being disrespectful to the Zambian nation as well,” Mr Phiri said.

BRING BACK LUNGU’S BODY, HICHILEMA SHOULDN’T ATTEND FUNERAL, LET DELEGATE – FR CHIKOYA

BRING BACK LUNGU’S BODY, HICHILEMA SHOULDN’T ATTEND FUNERAL, LET DELEGATE – FR CHIKOYA

THE Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) has called for the repatriation of the remains of late former President Edgar Lungu, urging both the State and the bereaved family to put aside their differences for the sake of national unity.

Featuring on RCV News’ Chatback this afternoon, CCZ General Secretary Fr Emmanuel Chikoya said if the only way to bring the late president’s remains back home is by having someone other than President Hakainde Hichilema preside over the funeral, then so be it.

Fr Chikoya suggested that if the presence of the sitting President at the funeral was a sticking point for the family, government could consider delegating the responsibility to another official such as the Vice President.

The priest revealed that while the whole matter may seem awkward and even uncomfortable to the political class, the church believes in doing the unusual if it leads to peace and healing for the nation.

He further added that such a move should not be viewed as a loss or weakness, but rather as a show of leadership and maturity for the sake of peace and unity.

“For me, it would be a better devil than to have him buried out of the country,” Fr Chikoya said bluntly, referring to the growing fear that Lungu’s body may not return to Zambia for burial due to unresolved tensions between the State and the late president’s family.

The CCZ leader also noted that not every relative of the late president can afford the cost of flying abroad for memorial services, a burden that would only deepen the pain of an already grieving family.

He called on both government and the Lungu family to stop being rigid and to make sacrifices where necessary, stressing that some battles are better postponed for the sake of national unity.

As the impasse drags on, the CCZ says the church stands ready to mediate and encourage dialogue, but only if all parties are willing to prioritise the greater good over personal victories.

SA, ZAMBIA CAN’T INTERFERE OVER LUNGU – FAMILY

… As more details emerge, including the involvement of Jacob Zuma in trying to resolve impasse

The family of late former president Edgar Lungu says neither the government of South Africa nor Zambia can interfere with their decision to bury Lungu’s remains in South Africa.

And South Africa’s minister for International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lemola, yesterday told President Hakainde Hichilema in Lusaka that it was his government’s considered view that Lungu’s remains be buried in Zambia, but they would respect the family’s position because the matter was family and not a diplomatic one.

And well-connected sources have revealed to Daily Revelation the behind the scenes role that former South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma and Zimbabwean President Emerson Mnangagwa have been playing to address the impasse.

The family was asked to respond to the statement by Lamola that it was South Africa’s considered view for Lungu’s remains to be buried in Zambia, including information that Zuma was allegedly denied passage here, and had allegedly offered one of his properties for …

In response, the family said

UPND MEDIA COMMENDS PRESIDENT HICHILEMA FOR ENSURING LATE PRESIDENT LUNGU RECEIVES A BEFITTING FUNERAL

UPND MEDIA COMMENDS PRESIDENT HICHILEMA FOR ENSURING LATE PRESIDENT LUNGU RECEIVES A BEFITTING FUNERAL

Lusaka, June 22, 2025 — The UPND Media Team has congratulated President Hakainde Hichilema for his continued diplomatic efforts to restore Zambia’s national dignity and steering the country away from political embarrassment by self-serving politicians exploiting the death of former President Edgar Chagwa Lungu for political gain.

In a statement issued by UPND Media Director Mark Simuuwe, the party has hailed President Hichilema’s handling of the situation, particularly his engagement with South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Mr. Ronald Ozzy Lamola, during a courtesy visit at State House in Lusaka.

Mr. Simuuwe said the President’s actions are focused on preserving the integrity and legacy of Zambia, not for personal gain, but for posterity.

“President Hichilema is rewriting our history, which politicians who do not love this country and its legacy want to tarnish. What he is doing is meant to protect Zambia’s integrity and posterity,” Mr. Simuuwe stated.

He further criticized opposition figures whom he accused of using the death of the former President for political gain.

“Those playing dirty politics and attempting to blackmail the government over President Lungu’s death are feasting on rhetoric. It is unthinkable, alien, immoral, and unacceptable behavior in any democratic state,” Mr. Simuuwe said.

The UPND Media Director emphasized that the President is committed to ensuring that his predecessor is given a dignified and respectful sendoff, in accordance with the law.

“We thank the President for his tireless efforts to ensure that President Lungu is buried at the designated presidential burial site, in line with the Benefits of Former Presidents Act. This is about upholding national values, not scoring political points,” he said.

WE HOPE SOME DAY, ECL’S REMAINS WILL RETURN TO ZAMBIA AS HE IS LAID TO REST IN SOUTH AFRICA

KBN TV DITORIAL COMMENT – WE HOPE SOME DAY, ECL’S REMAINS WILL RETURN TO ZAMBIA AS HE IS LAID TO REST IN SOUTH AFRICA 

On Wednesday last week, we exclusively revealed the family’s decision to put the former sixth Republican President to rest in South Africa.

Two days later, the family Spokesperson, Makebi Zulu, flanked by the elder sister to late President Edgar Lungu, confirmed this decision through a live broadcast.

Since then, there has been several engagements happening in the background involving both local and regional envoys to push for a last minute breakthrough to end the impasse.

However, as of today, nothing has changed and the position remains as earlier communicated.

The only positive development though, has been the neutral involvement of the host country which has met both the family and the Zambian Government.

We can therefore confirm with certainty that preparations have progressed and all the protocols are nearly completed for the burial ceremony in South Africa.

A number of Patriotic Front officials have already travelled to position themselves in readiness for the solemn assignment likely to be on Wednesday this week.

The bilateral visit to State House yesterday by South African Minister of International Cooperation, Ronald Ozzy Lamola, was to manage relationships between the two countries.

Lamola’s message to President Hichilema as we understand, was that while South Africa would have loved President Lungu’s remains to be repatriated, his government has an obligation to respect the family’s wishes.

Similarly, our head of state Mr. Hichilema, has been very consistent with his desire to give his predecessor a befitting send-off by insisting that the remains be repatriated back to Zambia

Even during yesterday’s meeting,  he reiterated that desire. However, expressing that desire did not mean there was a breakthrough to the impasse.

The President merely communicated his desire to do the right thing, albeit a little too late.

As the family Spokesperson said in his last address to the nation, their wish too, is that some day, President Lungu’s remains will be repatriated back to Zambia, but certainly not this time around.

OASIS FORUM SLAMS GOVERNMENT OVER “BILL 7 OF 2025” — ACCUSES UPND OF RIGGING DEMOCRACY THROUGH BACKDOOR CONSTITUTIONAL REFORMS

OASIS FORUM SLAMS GOVERNMENT OVER “BILL 7 OF 2025” — ACCUSES UPND OF RIGGING DEMOCRACY THROUGH BACKDOOR CONSTITUTIONAL REFORMS

In a fiery press briefing marked by strong words and a unified front, the Oasis Forum has launched an all-out crusade against the controversial Constitution Amendment Bill No. 7 of 2025, accusing the UPND-led government of betraying the Zambian people by pushing a secretive, partisan, and dangerous reform agenda.

The Oasis Forum a coalition of Zambia’s key civic, legal, and faith-based institutions condemned the constitutional reform process as illegitimate, lacking inclusivity, transparency, and broad-based citizen consultation. “We the people of Zambia” is not just a preamble, said the Forum, but a binding principle that government must respect.

Among the organisations backing the campaign are the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ), the Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ), the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ), the Non-Governmental Gender Organisations Coordinating Council (NGOCC), and the Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB). Together, they launched the Coalition Against Bill 7, a national campaign to block the proposed amendments.

“This bill is not about progress; it’s about power,” said one panelist, warning that Bill 7 seeks to alter Zambia’s democratic architecture just months before a general election. Critics claim it is engineered to tilt the playing field in favour of the ruling party while silencing the voice of the people.

The Forum blasted the Ministry of Justice for conducting “backdoor consultations” with unnamed stakeholders while deliberately excluding citizens, youth groups, opposition parties, and civil society. “You cannot reform the Constitution in dark corridors with handpicked chiefs and ghost stakeholders,” said a spokesperson.

A key issue raised was the bloated legislature proposed under the bill, which the Forum warned would drain national resources at a time when the government is failing to pay volunteer doctors, buy maize from struggling farmers, or adequately support free education and healthcare. “How do you increase the number of MPs when the nation is broke?” one critic asked.

Responding to government claims that Oasis Forum has no legal basis to oppose the bill, the coalition asserted its moral and constitutional right to defend the people’s document. “We don’t need court orders to speak truth to power. Our legitimacy comes from the people,” a lawyer from LAZ declared.

The Forum also accused government representatives of weaponising Parliament through the “arrogance of numbers”, using its majority to bulldoze unpopular legislation. “If MPs choose party over people, history will judge them as traitors to the Constitution,” said another speaker.

Legal action remains on the table. The Forum said it was exploring judicial options, but noted that its primary focus was mobilising nationwide civic resistance. This includes public sensitisation, peaceful protests, and constituency-based pressure on Members of Parliament to reject the bill.

When pressed by journalists to provide specifics on what aspects of Bill 7 they oppose, the Forum promised to conduct community-based legal literacy campaigns to expose each article’s danger. “This bill is frontloaded with electoral amendments clearly timed to benefit those in power. The devil is in the detail,” one member stated.

The coalition also dismissed claims that their activism is funded by foreign paymasters. “Our only paymasters are the people of Zambia,” said a church leader, prompting applause from the audience. “We owe no loyalty to partisan interests only to national interest.”

Oasis Forum criticised the government’s refusal to revive the Political Parties Bill and other previously shelved reforms that had broad support. “Why discard well-thought-out processes just to rush a new one? We have become experts at wasting money on failed reforms,” they argued.

As a symbolic act of resistance, the coalition unveiled the colour black as the symbol of the campaign, drawn from the black stripe on the national flag, which represents the Zambian people. “We appeal to the conscience of this government leave the people’s document alone,” the Forum concluded.

The battle lines over Bill 7 of 2025 are now drawn. The Oasis Forum has declared war against what it describes as “a constitutional hijack in broad daylight.” Whether Parliament listens or bulldozes ahead remains to be seen. But one thing is clear: civil society is ready for the long fight.

I will only respond to Kalaba when he grows up – Nevers

By Mubanga Mubanga  and Chinoyi Chipulu

MMD leader Nevers Mumba has wondered why Citizens First (CF) leader Harry Kalaba has called his statement on late president Edgar Lungu’s standoff between the government and the family as patronising when he has not done so to him for speaking for the former head of state.

Last week after President Hakainde Hichilema abruptly cancelled the extended national mourning accorded to president Lungu, following the family’s refusal to repatriate his remains from South Africa as earlier scheduled, Dr Mumba supported the President’s move.

But Kalaba cautioned Dr Mumba not to be quick with issuing patronising messages that could be injurious to the process.

He said as former vice-president, Dr Mumba carried a very high responsibility to present himself as a neutral and non partisan figure.

“It is regrettable that Dr Mumba was too quick to publicly support a wrong call by Mr Hakainde Hichilema without being sensitive to the grieving family and the nation at large,” said Kalaba.

When contacted on Kalaba’s remarks, Dr Mumba said he was lost for words on Kalaba’s allegations.

“I am actually lost. I listened to what he said. How can he call my position patronising when

Leadership is not Easy

It is clear he has failed. But despite this confession, he doesn’t see it.

The economy is on its knees.

Both local and foreign Debt has risen dramatically.

The cost of living crisis is the worst in 30 years.

The extent and sustained period of Load-shedding and power cuts is the worst in the life of our country.

The dramatic depreciation of Kwacha and the volatile exchange rate market has made the Kwacha consistently one of the worst in the world in many years.

The level and sophistication of corruption is extremely alarming and worrying.

Our national assets, mineral resources and public resources are being pillaged.

The World Bank Group has reported that Zambia is among the world’s poorest countries, and Zambia is now ranked sixth for poverty, with 64.3% of the population living on less than $2.15 a day.

Zambia is simultaneously amongst the poorest and the most unequal countries in the world. In 2022, 64.3 percent of the population – about 12.6 million individuals – was living on less than US$2.15 a day. This level is not only the 6th highest in the world but it is also misaligned with the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita level. In four of the five poorer countries, GDP per capita is between one-quarter and one-half of Zambia’s GDP per capita.

The biggest crisis is not the issues we are facing, but his utter denial. He thinks he has succeeded or is doing very well weathering the storm! He has even a commissioned the nationwide campaign for his re-election!

Accepting a problem is often considered the first step towards resolving it. Acknowledging the problem and understanding its existence is crucial for moving towards a solution.

At the moment, the country can’t move forward with his denial and posture.

Buried in Exile: How Zambia Failed Lungu — And Itself

What should have been a moment of national mourning has been transformed into a dark spectacle of political pettiness and moral failure. President Edgar Lungu — once Zambia’s head of state — now faces his final indignity: buried not in the soil he served, but in foreign land. President Lungu, who died in South Africa, will now be buried there — not by choice, but by the failure of his own nation to grant him rest at home.

Let that sink in.
A Zambian son. A former president. A man who — no matter your view of his politics — deserved the basic dignity of being laid to rest in his homeland. Denied. Not by law, not by tradition, but by the cold hand of politics wielded at a family’s hour of deepest grief.

This is no longer about Lungu. This is about what Zambia has become. A country where the dead cannot find peace because the living refuse to rise above grudges. A country where a family’s sorrow is trampled beneath the boots of state control. There was no need — no moral justification — to impose the will of government over a grieving family’s wishes. There was only a chance to show decency — and that chance was squandered.

And what of President Hakainde Hichilema?
A man of professed deep Christian values — where were those values when it mattered most? Where was the mercy, the humility, the grace that faith demands at moments like these? I expected him to be guided by his beliefs. Instead, the nation witnessed a failure of compassion at the highest level.

South Africa gains a body. Zambia buries its conscience

This is the legacy of this moment:
 If even the dead can’t find peace in your politics, what peace can the living hope for?

History will not forget. And neither will the hearts broken by this needless cruelty.

SOUTH AFRICA BACKS ZAMBIA AS FINAL RESTING PLACE FOR FORMER PRESIDENT LUNGU

SOUTH AFRICA BACKS ZAMBIA AS FINAL RESTING PLACE FOR FORMER PRESIDENT LUNGU

South Africa has expressed its view that former Zambian President Edgar Lungu should be laid to rest in his home country, Zambia. This follows a visit to President Hakainde Hichilema by South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola.

Speaking on behalf of President Cyril Ramaphosa and the people of South Africa, Minister Lamola stated:
“It remains our considered view that former President Lungu should be laid to rest in his own country of birth.”

He added that the South African government is hopeful that an amicable solution will be reached between Lungu’s family and the Zambian government. Lamola also emphasised the deep historical ties between South Africa and Zambia, conveying a message of solidarity with the Zambian people during this time.

President Hichilema reaffirmed Zambia’s position, stating “We held a meaningful and respectful discussion regarding the burial of the late President, during which we reaffirmed our firm position that His Excellency Mr. Lungu should be laid to rest in his homeland, the Republic of Zambia.”

ZCLU WARNS AGAINST PROCEEDING WITH PRESENTATION OF BILL 7 TO PARLIAMENT AMID PUBLIC CONCERNS

By Leah Ngoma

The Zambian Civil Liberties Union -ZCLU- has urged government to halt the presentation of constitution amendment bill no. 7 to parliament, which is scheduled for its first reading tomorrow.

ZCLU Executive Director Isaac Mwanza has warned that proceeding with the bill in its current form, despite widespread public concern risks undermining democratic values and eroding public trust in the legislative process.

Mr. Mwanza has noted that many stakeholders have raised substantive issues with the content of the bill, and there has not been adequate consultation to reflect those concerns in the draft.

He has cautioned that pushing the bill forward under these circumstances could create suspicion around the government’s intentions.

Mr. Mwanza has emphasized the importance of parliament engaging fully with the concerns being raised not just by civil society, but also by members of parliament themselves.

GOVT DENIES AUTHORIZING MINING AT SENSELI MINE

….. reaffirms commitment to legal and safe mining practices

Lusaka… Monday June 23, 2025

The Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development has dismissed reports claiming that it authorized mining activities at Senseli Mine in Chingola, Copperbelt Province.

Minister of Mines and Minerals Development Hon. Paul Kabuswe, clarified that Senseli Mine remains a private operation.

He said that the government is engaging with its owners to ensure all activities are formalized in accordance with mining regulations.

Mr. Kabuswe reiterated the government’s dedication to promoting safe and lawful mining practices.

He noted that security agencies are collaborating closely to ensure an orderly regularization process.

“The government does not condone illegal mining,” Hon. Kabuswe stated. “We are in discussions with the owners of Senseli Mine to formalize their operations, guaranteeing compliance with safety and legal standards.”

The Minister further explained that Chingola Member of Parliament, Hon. Chipoka Mulenga, visited the mine over the weekend—not to endorse unauthorized mining, but to advise miners on the importance of operating within the law.

In a related development, Hon. Kabuswe confirmed that all illegal miners at KCM’s Nchanga Mine were instructed to vacate the premises last Saturday, underscoring the government’s zero-tolerance policy toward unlawful mining.

Security personnel have been deployed to the area to restore order.

The Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development remains steadfast in fostering a well-regulated mining sector that prioritizes safety, environmental protection, and sustainable development.

AIPAC SLAMS MINISTRY OF JUSTICE OVER LACK OF LEGITIMACY IN BILL 7 DEBATES AND NEED TO REVISE CYBER CRIMES ACT

AIPAC SLAMS MINISTRY OF JUSTICE OVER LACK OF LEGITIMACY IN BILL 7 DEBATES AND NEED TO REVISE CYBER CRIMES ACT

23rd June, 2025

The Acton Institute for Policy Analysis Centre (AIPAC) expresses profound disappointment in the manner the Ministry of Justice is handling the Bill 7 debates and process, which starkly lacks legitimacy from the people of Zambia, Presenting Bill 7 before parliament will be suicidal especially that many stakeholders advice has been ingored by the Ministry of Justice. The Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs betrayed the trust of stakeholders regarding the Cyber Crimes Bill, disregarding the principles of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity that are essential for democratic governance.

Despite His Excellency President Hichilema’s meeting with various stakeholders at State House, where agreements were made to address concerns, our voices were shockingly ignored. The Cyber Crimes Bill was passed into law with clauses that pose a significant threat to freedom of expression and the rights of whistleblowers in the fight against corruption. This development is particularly disheartening given the commitment made by the President to consider stakeholders’ concerns and ensure that the legislative process is people-centered.

The recent condemnation of the Cyber Crimes Act in its current form by the UN Human Rights Commission only serves to underscore our deep-seated apprehensions. AIPAC is concerned that the Act’s provisions may be used to suppress dissenting voices, stifle critical reporting, and undermine the fight against corruption.

AIPAC urges the Ministry of Justice to revisit the Cyber Crimes Act and align it with international human rights standards, ensuring the protection of fundamental freedoms and the promotion of a just society. The people of Zambia deserve legislative processes that are transparent, inclusive, and reflective of their needs and rights. It is imperative that the Ministry of Justice prioritizes the concerns of stakeholders and engages in meaningful consultations to ensure that the Act is amended to address the legitimate concerns raised.

We call upon the UPND administration to demonstrate its commitment to upholding human rights and the rule of law by taking immediate action to review and amend the Cyber Crimes Act. AIPAC remains committed to advocating for policies and laws that promote good governance, transparency, and accountability in Zambia.

SAD: Zambian soldier killed on peacekeeping dies after an attack

A Zambian peacekeeper in the Central African Republic has died after a patrol was attacked along the Birao-Am Dafock axis in Vakaga Prefecture.

The attack by unidentified armed people on 20 June 2025 against the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in the Central African Republic -MINUSCA also resulted in the injury of another Zambian peacekeeper.

The identity of the fallen peacekeeper has been withdrawn.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has strongly condemned the attack and has expressed his condolences to the families of the dead peacekeeper and to the Government and the people of Zambia.

Gutteres said attacks targeting United Nations peacekeepers may constitute war crimes under international law.

He has called on the Central African authorities to spare no effort in identifying the perpetrators of the tragedy so that they can be brought to justice swiftly.

ZAMBEZI RIVER AUTHORITY REPORTS IMPROVED INFLOWS AND INCREASES POWER GENERATION

ZAMBEZI RIVER AUTHORITY REPORTS IMPROVED INFLOWS AND INCREASES POWER GENERATION

The Zambezi River Authority (ZRA) has reported a notable increase in water levels at Lake Kariba, offering renewed hope for improved power generation.

In an update released online, the Authority said the lake level now stands at 478.86 meters as of Monday, 23rd June 2025, compared to 477.30 meters on the same date in 2024.

The rise is attributed to steady inflows from the upper catchment of the Zambezi River, which feeds into the Kariba reservoir.

Live storage, a critical indicator of how much water is available for power generation, has risen to 23.5 percent, a significant improvement from 12.46 percent recorded this time last year.

Lake Kariba is engineered to operate between a minimum level of 475.50 meters and a full supply level of 488.50 meters.

The current level places the lake well within the desirable operational range.

This development is likely to ease pressure on electricity generation, especially following the energy challenges of 2024 when low water levels contributed to widespread load-shedding across Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The Zambezi River Authority says it will continue to monitor lake levels closely and update the public as the situation evolves.

NETANYAHU PRAYS FOR TRUMP AFTER IRAN BOMB STRIKES

By CIC International Affairs.

NETANYAHU PRAYS FOR TRUMP AFTER IRAN BOMB STRIKES.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has offered prayers for former U.S. President Donald Trump at the Western Wall, just hours after a coordinated U.S.-led military strike targeted three Iranian nuclear facilities, escalating an already volatile situation in the Middle East.

Accompanied by his wife Sara, Netanyahu visited the sacred site in Jerusalem on Sunday morning, where he placed a handwritten note in the crevices of the Western Wall.

The note read: “The people of Israel have risen the people of Israel live!” During the visit, he prayed specifically for Trump, calling on God to “bless, protect and help the President of the United States, Donald Trump, who has taken it upon himself to drive out evil and darkness in the world.”

Meanwhile, the Pentagon has confirmed the details of the latest strikes on Iran, revealing that B-2 stealth bombers dropped “bunker-buster” munitions on a fortified nuclear complex, while U.S. submarines launched cruise missiles at two additional nuclear-related targets.

According to military sources, the strikes aimed to degrade what the U.S. and Israel describe as Iran’s covert nuclear weapons infrastructure. The targeted facilities were located deep within Iranian territory and were described as “hardened and highly secured.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu lauded the operation, declaring that Israel had “moved closer to its goals” in Iran. Speaking to local media on Sunday, he said Israel was “very close to eliminating the threats of ballistic missiles and the Iranian nuclear programme.”

“These actions were necessary,” Netanyahu said, “and they have brought us closer to long-term regional security.

Iran’s government condemned the bombings, accusing the U.S. and Israel of violating international law and threatening regional stability. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi landed in Moscow on Sunday ahead of a high-stakes meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin scheduled for Monday.

Russia has sharply criticised the attacks. In a brief statement, the Kremlin said that “no country has the right to unilaterally strike sovereign territory under the pretext of preemptive defence.”

The Iranian Foreign Ministry reiterated that its nuclear programme remains peaceful and is fully compliant with its obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) — a treaty to which Iran is a signatory. Israel, by contrast, is not a party to the NPT and is widely believed to possess nuclear weapons, although it has never officially confirmed this.

The conflict between Iran and Israel reignited on June 13, when Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iranian targets, citing intelligence that Iran was nearing nuclear weapons capability a claim Tehran has repeatedly denied.

Since then, both countries have exchanged direct strikes, raising alarms throughout the region, which has remained tense since the start of Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza in October 2023.

International diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the crisis have so far shown little progress. The UN Security Council is expected to convene an emergency session this week to address the rising tensions.

With Iran turning to Moscow and Israel doubling down on its military objectives with the backing of the United States, analysts fear the current escalation could spiral into a broader regional confrontation.

NORTH KOREA WARNS TRUMP TO BEHAVE BEFORE RISKING AMERICAN CITIZENS IN THE MIDDLE EAST FOLLOWING THE STRIKES

By CIC International Affairs.

NORTH KOREA WARNS TRUMP TO BEHAVE BEFORE RISKING AMERICAN CITIZENS IN THE MIDDLE EAST FOLLOWING THE STRIKES.

North Korea has issued a fierce rebuke of the United States after its recent airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, describing the action as a serious breach of Iran’s sovereignty and a threat to global stability.

In a strongly worded statement released on Monday through the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Pyongyang said the U.S. had “violently trampled down the territorial integrity and security interests of a sovereign state.”

“The United States and Israel are fully responsible for the current escalation in the Middle East,” said an unnamed official from North Korea’s foreign ministry. “Their constant war provocations and territorial ambitions, encouraged by Western powers, have lit the fuse.”

The U.S. military carried out precision strikes on Iran over the weekend, targeting facilities believed to be linked to its nuclear weapons programme. The operation followed growing international concerns over Iran’s recent missile activities and its support for armed groups across the region.

The attack comes amid already heightened tensions between Iran and Israel, with retaliatory strikes exchanged in recent months. Footage from Haifa, Israel, showed crowds gathering around impact sites from Iranian missile fire images that quickly spread across global news networks.

North Korea, which has long maintained warm ties with Tehran, framed the U.S. strikes not only as an act of aggression against Iran but as a broader assault on the rights of all independent nations.

“The just international community must speak out against these confrontational acts by the U.S. and Israel,” the statement continued, urging global condemnation.

For decades, Pyongyang and Tehran have been accused of cooperating in secret on missile development. In 2021, a U.N. panel now disbanded claimed the two nations had resumed joint work on long-range missile projects, including the transfer of sensitive components.

Security analysts say this collaboration may now deepen. Ankit Panda, a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, told reporters that North Korea might play a key role in helping Iran recover from the strike.

“Pyongyang could provide important assistance in rebuilding destroyed missile production facilities, especially if Iran wants to relocate them to avoid further targeting,” Panda said.

But he added that true nuclear cooperation between the two countries is less likely, at least in the open. “There are areas especially in weapons design where North Korea would be cautious. Sharing that kind of sensitive information could risk exposure to U.S. intelligence, which might undermine their own deterrence.”

Still, Pyongyang’s track record in military aid to allies is growing. Over the past year, North Korea has reportedly sent arms, including ballistic missiles, to Russia for its war in Ukraine—moves condemned by the West but welcomed in Moscow and Tehran.

In Japan, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida called for calm, urging all parties to de-escalate. “Further conflict will only bring more suffering and uncertainty. Dialogue remains the best path forward,” he said during a press briefing in Tokyo.

While Washington has yet to respond to North Korea’s latest remarks, it has previously defended its military operations as necessary for regional security. Iran, for its part, has vowed retaliation but has not confirmed the extent of the damage.

The situation remains fluid, with experts warning that further military exchanges could pull the wider region into a deeper and deadlier conflict.

As the world watches closely, Pyongyang’s statement is a sharp reminder of how global alliances and enmities continue to shape today’s flashpoints.

…..Global fuel & food prices  expected to rampantly rise

Iran through its decision endorsed by Parliament (popular vote) has decided to close  the strait of Hormuz,a passage for oil shipment to the rest of the world , holding  20% of global oil passes through the strait.

The development is expected to shake the global oil market supply with fuel and food prices  anticipated to be increasing rapidly in the medium to the long term as the Israel/ Iran war backed by America ( Israel ally) rages on.

The move by Iran is likely to block $1 billion worth of  oil supply shipments per day.

UK backs US strikes on Iran

As international concern mounts over escalating tensions in the Middle East, China and the United Kingdom have issued sharply contrasting responses to the United States’ recent military strikes on Iran.

On Sunday, June 22, U.S. warplanes bombed three of Iran’s nuclear sites, Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow, following orders from President Donald Trump. The strikes marked a significant escalation in Washington’s involvement in the region’s complex power dynamics, prompting swift reactions from global leaders.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer described Iran’s nuclear programme as “a grave threat to international security” and defended the U.S. operation as an attempt to neutralise that threat. Starmer urged Tehran to resume diplomatic negotiations, a position echoed by Foreign Secretary David Lammy, who called on Iran “to show restraint.”

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also stressed the importance of diplomacy, saying, “Stability must be the priority, and respect for international law is critical. Now is the moment for Iran to engage in a credible diplomatic solution. The negotiating table is the only place to end this crisis.”

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba joined the call for de-escalation, while emphasising the need to halt Iran’s nuclear weapons development. “A de-escalation as soon as possible is more important than anything,” Ishiba said, “but at the same time, Iran’s nuclear weapons development must be stopped.”

In stark contrast, China and Russia condemned the U.S. action. China’s foreign ministry called the strikes “a serious violation” of the United Nations Charter and international law, warning that the attacks would only inflame regional instability. “The United States has exacerbated tensions in the Middle East,” the ministry said, urging all parties, particularly Israel, to implement a ceasefire, protect civilians, and return to dialogue.

Russia echoed China’s stance, calling the U.S. strikes “an irresponsible decision” and “a flagrant violation of international law.” In a statement, the Russian foreign ministry demanded an immediate end to aggression and called for renewed diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis.

The strikes followed an earlier wave of tit-for-tat attacks between Iran and Israel, and Tehran had warned that U.S. involvement would have lasting consequences. As the situation evolves, the international community remains deeply divided on the path forward.

Paul Pogba ‘agrees two-year deal to join Monaco after 18-month doping ban’

Paul Pogba has secured his return to professional football by agreeing to a two-year deal with French club, Monaco after his 18-month doping ban.

The former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder was handed a four-year doping ban after returning an adverse drug test, however, that suspension was later slashed to just 18 months.

In the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s final judgement, it was confirmed that Pogba did inadvertently take DHEA, a substance that boosts testosterone, which is on WADA’s banned list. The ruling stated, however, that DHEA only has an effect on females.

The ban officially ended earlier this year, and he has been linked to a return to the game this summer.

According to French outlet Le Parisien, Pogba has agreed to a deal with Monaco.

The report claims that he took ‘significant financial sacrifices’ in order to pen terms with the Ligue 1 side, in order to secure his return.

The two parties are thought to have been in discussions for several days before at last agreeing to the financials on Sunday.

The report also adds that the player traveled to the principality earlier in June to meet with chiefs at the club and had begun the process of planning out his life and the logistics of a move, including details such as a new driver, where he would live, and what sort of security he would put in place.

Joining Monaco would also see Pogba return to club football’s greatest competition, the Champions League, after the Ligue 1 side finished third in the league behind Marseille and champions PSG.

Trump floats regime change in Iran: “Make Iran Great Again”

0

U.S. President Donald Trump has raised the possibility of regime change in Iran and defended his statement that U.S. airstrikes over the weekend “totally obliterated” Iranian nuclear enrichment sites — a claim he insists is accurate, even as damage assessments continue.

In a social media post late Sunday night, June 22, Trump stated the sites — hit with GBU-57 “bunker buster” bombs and Tomahawk cruise missiles on Saturday night — suffered “monumental damage,” adding: “The biggest damage took place far below ground level. Bullseye!!!”

Trump further stated that if Iranian leaders failed to “make Iran great again,” regime change could be on the table. This contrasts with more measured remarks from senior U.S. officials.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth emphasized that the mission was “not and has not been about regime change,” calling it a “precision operation” focused on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

Vice President JD Vance stated the U.S. was “not at war with Iran, we’re at war with Iran’s nuclear programme,” while Secretary of State Marco Rubio stressed that “we’re not looking for war in Iran.”

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian accused Washington of being directly involved in Israel’s military actions against the Islamic Republic and vowed retaliation.

U.S. military officials are still assessing the full extent of the destruction from “Operation Midnight Hammer.” Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine acknowledged uncertainty over Iran’s remaining nuclear capabilities, stopping short of echoing Trump’s “obliteration” claim.

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director Rafael Grossi sa

id, “At this time, no one, including the IAEA, is in a position to assess the underground damage at Fordow.”

As tensions escalate, the impact is being felt across the Middle East and beyond. Airlines scrambled to assist thousands of stranded travelers, and multiple countries began repatriation efforts for their citizens. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued a terrorism bulletin warning of possible cyberattacks and hate crimes domestically, although it noted there were “no specific credible threats” at this time.

Oil prices briefly spiked on Monday amid fears that Iran could retaliate by attempting to shut down the Strait of Hormuz — a vital passage for over 20% of global oil supply. Iran’s parliament has reportedly approved such a move, though the final decision rests with its Supreme National Security Council.

Secretary Rubio urged diplomatic pressure on Tehran, telling Fox News: “I encourage the Chinese government in Beijing to call them [Iran] about that because they heavily depend on the Strait of Hormuz for their oil.”

Meanwhile, Iran may turn to Russia for strategic coordination. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi arrived in Moscow on Monday for talks with President Vladimir Putin. Araqchi said there would be no return to diplomacy until Iran had responded to the strikes: “The U.S. showed they have no respect for international law. They only understand the language of threat and force.”

The ripple effects continue. France announced plans to deploy military aircraft to Israel to evacuate citizens to Cyprus, as its foreign ministry reported over 4,500 inquiries in the past week. France has around 250,000 nationals in Israel.

The Philippines will begin repatriating citizens on Monday, primarily from Israel, where over 30,000 Filipinos live and work. At least 223 in Israel and 8 in Iran have requested evacuation.

Australia reported that 3,800 citizens had sought help to leave the Middle East — 2,600 in Iran and 1,200 in Israel. The government has sent two defense aircraft to support evacuation efforts.

Airlines continue to reroute or cancel flights due to the unrest. Air France-KLM canceled all flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh on Sunday and Monday. British Airways canceled flights to Dubai and Doha and said it was reviewing the situation for upcoming schedules.

“I’m not a s3x slave” – R. Kelly’s fiancée speaks out

Joycelyn Savage, fiancée of embattled R&B star R. Kelly, has come out publicly to shut down claims from her family that she is being held against her will.

In a video released Sunday evening, June 22, Joycelyn stated clearly:

“I am not held against my will. I am not a sex slave. I am not brainwashed or any of those crazy lies that were told on me.”

She said she and R. Kelly have been together for 10 years and have been engaged for the last three years. According to her, they are planning to get married and start a family once he’s out of prison.

Her response comes after her family told the media they no longer support R. Kelly’s push for a presidential pardon, saying he hasn’t taken accountability, and their daughter is still under his influence. But Joycelyn disagrees, calling her parents’ concerns false.

She also revealed that she’s cut communication with her family by choice, not because she’s being controlled.

“I just don’t want to talk to them,” she said.

Joycelyn asked the public to pray for R. Kelly, expressing hope that he will be released from federal custody soon.

R. Kelly is currently serving time following multiple convictions, including racketeering, sex trafficking, child pornography, and enticing minors for sex. Just last week, the singer claimed he was the target of an alleged assassination plot in prison, which reportedly landed him in the hospital.

Joycelyn’s family, through their attorney Gerald Griggs, has yet to respond to her video.

Trump declares war on GOP lawmaker over Iran criticism

0

On Sunday, Donald Trump had a massive meltdown on a far-right conservative member of the House who is refusing to fall in line and approve of the surprise bombing of Iran.

Sunday morning Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) appeared on “Face the Nation,” and ripped into his own party by stating, “AIPAC is very persuasive. For instance, the Israeli lobby in Congress, if you look at my colleagues’ feeds now, they all look the same. They’re all tweeting the same message that we’ve got to support Israel and we’ve got to do this.”

That apparently, did not sit well with Trump who launched such a scathing and vicious attack on a GOP lawmaker he once endorsed that he repeated himself while excommunicating Massie from the MAGA movement.

“Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky is not MAGA, even though he likes to say he is. Actually, MAGA doesn’t want him, doesn’t know him, and doesn’t respect him. He is a negative force who almost always Votes ‘NO,’ no matter how good something may be. He’s a simple minded ‘grandstander’ who thinks it’s good politics for Iran to have the highest level Nuclear weapon, while at the same time yelling ‘DEATH TO AMERICA’ at every chance they get. Iran has killed and maimed thousands of Americans, and even took over the American Embassy in Tehran under the Carter Administration. We had a spectacular military success yesterday, taking the ‘bomb’ right out of their hands (and they would use it if they could!) but, as usual, and despite all of the praise and accolades received, this ‘lightweight’ Congressman is against what was so brilliantly achieved last night in Iran.”

Trump was not done and repeated, “Massie is weak, ineffective, and votes ‘NO’ on virtually everything put before him (Rand Paul, Jr.), no matter how good something may be. He is disrespectful to our great military, and all that they stand for, not even acknowledging their brilliance and bravery in yesterday’s attack, which was a total and complete WIN. Massie should drop his fake act and start putting America First, but he doesn’t know how to get there — he doesn’t have a clue! He’ll undoubtedly vote against the Great, Big, Beautiful Bill, even though non-passage means a 68% Tax Increase for everybody, and many things far worse than that.”

“MAGA should drop this pathetic LOSER, Tom Massie, like the plague!” he ranted before noting, “The good news is that we will have a wonderful American Patriot running against him in the Republican Primary, and I’ll be out in Kentucky campaigning really hard. MAGA is not about lazy, grandstanding, nonproductive politicians, of which Thomas Massie is definitely one. Thank you to our incredible military for the AMAZING job they did last night. It was really SPECIAL!!! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”

Ramaphosa urges peace as U.S. strikes Iran’s nuclear sites

Ramaphosa urges peace as U.S. strikes Iran’s nuclear sites

President Cyril Ramaphosa has called for calm and dialogue following U.S. airstrikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan on June 22, 2025.

The strikes, which U.S. President Donald Trump hailed as a “spectacular military success,” targeted Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, escalating tensions in the volatile Middle East.

Speaking through his spokesperson, Vincent Magwenya, Ramaphosa expressed South Africa’s “deep concern” over the U.S. intervention in the Israel-Iran conflict.

He urged all parties Washington, Tel Aviv, and Tehran to pursue a UN-led resolution, including inspections of Iran’s uranium enrichment and nuclear capabilities, to de-escalate the crisis. “South Africa had hoped President Trump would prioritize dialogue to foster peace,” Magwenya said.

Iran condemned the strikes as a violation of its sovereignty, vowing a “proportionate response” while maintaining its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.

The whole world now watches closely as the risk of further escalation looms, with Ramaphosa’s call for diplomacy echoing a global plea for restraint.

‘I am so disappointed in Trump’: Republican says Iran strike ‘betrayed’ MAGA

A Republican supporter and “hardcore MAGA guy” told C-SPAN that he was “so disappointed” in President Donald Trump after he escalated the conflict with Iran by ordering a military strike.

“I woke up this morning on my X account, and there’s a short clip of Trump just ripping into Bush on the presidential debates, and, you know, complaining about how the country was lied to about the weapons of mass destruction,” the caller named John explained Sunday on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal program. “Well, you know, I mean, I feel the same thing has just happened again to us.”

“I am so disappointed in Trump,” he continued. “And I am a hardcore MAGA guy. And I had so much support for this guy. And I just feel betrayed about this. Trump has done the wrong thing.”

“We’ve literally bombed the wrong country. Israel has been doing things over there that are just outrageous, un-American, slaughtering tens of thousands of people, attacking this Pearl Harbor-like attack on Iran.”

The caller accused Trump of “buying into” Israel’s pro-war propaganda.

“We’ve gotten sucked in to yet another war,” he said. “And it’s just, I am so disappointed in this guy.”

“And I was certainly hoping for him to be a real peacemaker out there, be a senior diplomat, and bring all the parties together and promote peace in that region,” he added. “He’s done the wrong thing, and I am disappointed.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene unloads on Trump for bombing Iran

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) lashed out at President Donald Trump’s decision to bomb Iran.

In a Sunday post on X, Greene gave her thoughts about the president’s military operation.

“I don’t know anyone in America who has been the victim of a crime or killed by Iran,” she complained. “America has not dropped bunker busters on the Cartel’s sophisticated drug tunnels, launched tomahawks on massive cartel poisonous drug operations, or gone to war against the cartels [sic] international terrorists [sic] networks.”

“Neocon warmongers beat their drums of war and act like Billy badasses going to war in countries most Americans have never seen and can’t find on a map, but never find the courage to go to war against the actual terrorists who actually do kill Americans, invade our land, and make BILLIONS doing it day after day, year after year,” she continued. “I’ve watched our country go to war in foreign lands for foreign causes on behalf of foreign interests for as long as I can remember… America is $37 TRILLION in debt and all of these foreign wars have cost Americans TRILLIONS AND TRILLIONS of dollars that never benefited any American.”

“American troops have been killed and forever torn apart physically and mentally for regime change, foreign wars, and for military industrial base profits. I’m sick of it.”

Greene insisted she did not want to “fight or fund nuclear armed Israel’s wars.”

“I’m sick of funding foreign aid and foreign countries and foreign everything,” the lawmaker ranted. “I can also support President Trump and his great administration on many of the great things they are doing while disagreeing on bombing Iran and getting involved in a hot war that Israel started.”

“That’s not disloyalty. Critical thinking and having my own opinions is the most American thing ever,” she added. “Now what has been done is done and Americans now fear Iranian terrorists [sic] attacks on our own soil and being dragged into another war by Netanyahu when we weren’t even thinking about any of this a week ago.”

“Enough is enough.”

Lindsey Graham shot down by Dem over bombing praise

Lindsey Graham was on the receiving end of a smack-down from one of his Senate colleagues on Sunday after going on “Meet the Press” and declaring Donald Trump had every right to launch an unprovoked attack on Iran on Saturday.

During an appearance on MSNBC, Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) bluntly claimed the Republican from South Carolina needs a refresher course on the Constitution.

During his Sunday appearance, an upbeat Graham claimed Trump “was within his Article II authority” to begin bombing that cold lead to a war.

He added, “Congress can declare war or cut off funding,” Graham continued. “We can’t be the commander in chief. You can’t have 535 commander-in-chiefs. If you don’t like what the president does, in terms of war, you can cut off the funding. But declaring war is left of the Congress. We’ve declared war five times in the history of America. All of these other military operations were lawful.”

Asked to comment after watching the cli, Merkley suggested, “I’d encourage him to actually read the Constitution.”

“Our founders were so concerned about the impact of war that they said, this is not a decision that can be left to a single individual,” he lectured. “And that’s why the Constitution vests that authority with Congress. The president absolutely failed to follow the Constitution and now we’re in war without congressional authorization ––we should debate a war powers resolution.”

Trump launches PAC to oust sitting Republican congressman after strike criticism

President Donald Trump’s political operation has reportedly launched a new political action committee (PAC) to oust Rep. Thomas Massie, a Kentucky Republican.

On Sunday, Axios reported that Trump’s team had created the Kentucky MAGA super PAC after Massie slammed Saturday’s strike on Iran. Senior Trump advisers Tony Fabrizio and Chris LaCivita were expected to run the organization.

According to the report, the PAC was in the works before Massie’s criticism. LaCivita said the group would spend “whatever it takes” to oust the congressman.

It was said to be Trump’s first effort to unseat a sitting Republican.

“It was a good week for the neocons in the military-industrial complex who want war all the time,” Massie said during a Sunday interview. “I wouldn’t call my side of the MAGA base isolationists. We are exhausted. We are tired from all of these wars, and we’re non-interventionists.”

Trump later responded by lashing out at Massie on Truth Social.

“Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky is not MAGA, even though he likes to say he is,” Trump wrote. “Massie should drop his fake act and start putting America First, but he doesn’t know how to get there — he doesn’t have a clue!”

Trump endorsed Massie in the 2024 election.

Trump contradicts JD Vance by pushing for ‘regime change’ in Iran

Donald Trump on Sunday contradicted U.S. Vice President JD Vance by suggesting the potential for “regime change” in Iran.

Trump over the weekend brought up the issue following a bombing of three nuclear sites in the Middle Eastern nation.

“It’s not politically correct to use the term, ‘Regime Change,’ but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change???” Trump asked on his Truth Social platform. He then added, “MIGA!!!”

The comments come “just hours after Vance goes on the Sunday shows saying that the U.S. isn’t interested in a regime change,” according to veteran reporter Jake Sherman.

Trump’s new statement shows he’s ‘unsure of results’ of Iran bombing effort

Donald Trump on Sunday raised the possibility that his signature Iranian bombing effort may have failed, according to a New York Times reporter this weekend.

Trump took to Truth Social after bombing Iran and contradicted Vice President JD Vance by suggesting the potential for “regime change” in Iran.

That statement itself shows Trump isn’t sure if his big plan worked, according to NYT investigative reporter Eric Lipton.

“Trump himself seems unsure of results as he is now suggesting regime change may be necessary…ie nuclear threat may still exist with current leadership,” Lipton wrote on his social media. Lipton noted that the comment was right above a MyPillow advertisement.

Conservative attorney and Trump critic George Conway responded to that on X, writing, “I would have more confidence in Trump if he weren’t such a complete moron and clown.”

Democratic strategist Maine had a similar take on Trump’s statement.

“So, the air strikes didn’t destroy anything. And regime change is indeed the goal.”

Judge denies Trump’s motion to keep Kilmar Abrego Garcia in custody

Donald Trump’s administration lost its bid to keep a wrongly deported Maryland man, Kilmar Ábrego García, in custody.

García, who was purportedly sent to El Salvador in error, was recently returned to the United States to face federal criminal charges.

According to legal expert Anna Bower on Sunday, “A federal magistrate judge DENIES the government’s motion to keep Kilmar Abrego Garcia in custody while his criminal charges are pending.”

“A separate order will enter, following hearing, directing Abrego’s release on conditions,” she wrote, quoting the order dated Sunday.

Former immigration lawyer Aaron Reichlin-Melnick called the development “huge news with a huge caveat.”

“This does NOT mean that he will be released, as ICE will immediately detain him if he leaves criminal custody,” the expert noted.

Internet outraged after Trump hints at ‘regime change’ in Iran

Donald Trump spurred outrage on Sunday when he hinted at “regime change” in Iran.

Trump made the controversial statement on social media:

“It’s not politically correct to use the term, ‘Regime Change,’ but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change???” Trump asked on his Truth Social platform. He then added, “MIGA!!!”

Washington correspondent for CNBCMegan Cassella quoted others in the administration recently advancing the complete opposite stance:

“VANCE: ‘Our view has been very clear that we don’t want a regime change.’ HEGSETH: ‘This mission was not and has not been about regime change.’ RUBIO: Regime change is ‘certainly not the goal of what we’re working on here,'” the reporter wrote.

Former prosecutor Ron Filipkowski chimed in with, “Just wondering if my MAGA friends have to change the color of their hats now that Trump is all about Making Iran Great Again. You know he has that Trump Tower Tehran in his head – lots of great business opportunities for Trump Org from a Trump-installed regime!”

GOP political consultant Mike Madrid said of Trump’s statement, “It’s like a tariff negotiation but with bunker busting bombs and nuclear holocaust instead of maple syrup.”

Conservative attorney and anti-Trump activist George Conway said, “Pretending to be an ignorant and impulsive sociopath by appearing to make s— up as he goes along is just Trump’s way of playing 7,822-dimensional chess,” which was apparently sarcastic.

Even Republican Congressman Thomas Massie defiantly declared, “This is not America First folks.”

Army combat vet Fred Wellman said, “I swear it was just like 8 hours ago when Pete Hegseth said ‘This mission was not and has not been about regime change,’ to reporters at the Pentagon. That’s weird.”

Trump rages against report his attack failed

0

Donald Trump Sunday evening lashed out against reports that his attack on Iran nuclear sites wasn’t a complete success.

Over the weekend, numerous outlets reported that the nuclear sites struck by U.S. bombs were damaged but not completely destroyed, and Trump has insisted the capabilities were “obliterated.”

Trump blasted the reports on his social media site, Truth Social.

“Monumental Damage was done to all Nuclear sites in Iran, as shown by satellite images. Obliteration is an accurate term!” Trump wrote Sunday night. “The white structure shown is deeply imbedded into the rock, with even its roof well below ground level, and completely shielded from flame. The biggest damage took place far below ground level.”

Trump then added, “Bullseye!!!”

Zimbabweans Express Frustration as Nelson Chamisa Announces His Return to Politics

Former Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader Nelson Chamisa has announced his return to full-time politics, less than a year after walking away from the party and its structures.

Chamisa left CCC in 2023 after losing control of the party to self-imposed secretary general Sengezo Tshabangu — a development that led to internal splits and court challenges.

In a recent interview with The Standard, Chamisa declared that his departure from CCC did not signal a departure from serving Zimbabweans.

“Leaving the CCC is different from leaving the people of Zimbabwe whom I so deeply respect and value.
I left the old vehicle only because ZANU-PF had captured and compromised it. As a matter of principle, leaving the old vehicle was necessary because people now know who is and who isn’t. It’s now so clear who is with the people and who is not,” he said.

‘2030 Nonsense’: Chamisa Dismisses ZANU-PF Agenda
Chamisa also took a swipe at the ruling party’s political trajectory, describing the 2030 vision as a diversionary tactic.

“The whole 2030 nonsense is a desperate attempt to avoid the people, and a desperate attempt to avoid the elections.
It is an attempt to create a window for further destroying an otherwise beautiful country,” he said.

He added that over two million Zimbabweans had shown consistent trust in his leadership, stating,

“I will never betray these great Zimbabweans.”

politics for them is a money making scheme.

FORDOW FACILITY TARGETED AGAIN – ISRAELI STRIKE REPORTED

Iranian media report the Fordow nuclear facility was hit by an Israeli airstrike, days after a previous U.S. bombing.

A Qom official confirmed the strike but provided no details on damage sustained.

Israeli sources claim only an access road was targeted, not the facility itself.

China Condemns U.S.A  Strikes on Iran, Urges Ceasefire Amid Rising Tensions

China Condemns U.S. Strikes on Iran, Urges Ceasefire Amid Rising Tensions

China has issued a sharp condemnation of the recent U.S. military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, including key sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry labeled the attacks a “grave violation” of the UN Charter and international law, warning that the escalation threatens to destabilize the Middle East further.

In a statement released today, Sunday, China called for an immediate ceasefire, particularly urging Israel to halt its military operations, and emphasized the need for dialogue to restore calm. “Attacks on nuclear facilities under IAEA safeguards are reckless and endanger global security,” a ministry spokesperson said, highlighting Beijing’s concerns over the broader implications for regional stability and energy markets.China, a key economic partner of Iran and a major importer of its oil, has positioned itself as a potential mediator, expressing readiness to work with the international community to facilitate negotiations.

The strikes come at a time when Beijing is focused on evacuating its citizens from Iran and Israel, underscoring the urgency of de-escalation to protect its regional interests, including the Belt and Road Initiative.

As tensions rise, the international community watches closely, with fears of further disruption in the Strait of Hormuz and broader implications for global energy markets.

Benjamin Netanyahu Shocks many with how he refers to Donald Trump’s bombing of Iranian nuclear sites

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to bomb three Iranian nuclear facilities.

Netanyahu tagged the move as a “historic” and “bold” move, and a critical step in neutralizing what he described as “the world’s most dangerous regime.”

The strikes, which targeted Iran’s Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites, marked a dramatic escalation in the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict and drew global attention to the volatile Middle East.

In a video address released early Sunday, Netanyahu expressed gratitude to Trump and emphasized the close coordination between the two nations.

“History will record that President Trump acted to deny the world’s most dangerous regime the world’s most dangerous weapon,” Netanyahu told the press.

“His leadership today has created a pivot in history that can help lead the Middle East and beyond to a future of prosperity and peace,” he continued his address.

Netanyahu also acknowledgedthe friendship he has with Trump saying “President Trump and I often say: ‘Peace through strength.’ First comes strength, then comes peace. And tonight, President Trump and the United States acted with a lot of strength.”
