Kim Jong Un says Iran conflict proves nuclear weapons are “essential for survival”

Kim Jong Un says Iran conflict proves nuclear weapons are “essential for survival”

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has condemned the ongoing Middle East conflict as “state-backed aggression,” arguing that recent strikes on Iran validate Pyongyang’s long-standing decision to retain its nuclear arsenal.

According to state media, Kim warned that past U.S. efforts pushing denuclearization were “deceptive tactics,” stressing that nuclear capability is the only effective deterrent against external threats and cannot be reversed.

While maintaining a firm stance, he signaled openness to future negotiations with the United States—on the condition that Washington recognizes North Korea as a nuclear state and abandons hostile policies.

Saudi Crown Prince Urges Trump: Crush Iran’s Regime Now or Miss Historic Chance

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is telling President Trump straight up: Keep hammering Iran hard. This is the moment to wipe out the mullahs’ regime and reshape the Middle East for good.

According to the New York Times, MBS has pressed Trump in multiple calls over the past week. He sees the ongoing U.S.-Israeli strikes as a rare opportunity to end Iran’s threat to the Gulf once and for all. No more half-measures. Full regime change.

The region is picking sides, and the Saudis aren’t hiding it. They know a weak Iran means a safer neighborhood—no more proxy wars, terror funding, or nuclear dreams from Tehran.

Meanwhile, the U.S. is backing words with steel. CNN reports American forces have “all the pieces” in place, with 1,000 paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne and up to 10,000 Marines ready for potential ground action. Navy carriers and amphibious ships are already in the region.

UN Chief Sounds Alarm: Israel-Iran War Spiraling Out of Control

UN Chief Sounds Alarm: Israel-Iran War Spiraling Out of Control

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres issued a blunt warning today, declaring the raging conflict between Israel, the US, and Iran has “gone too far” and risks exploding into a wider regional war.

“The world is staring down the barrel of a wider war,” Guterres said, urging an immediate end to the fighting that has already killed thousands, devastated infrastructure, and sent oil prices soaring with global economic shockwaves.

The open war erupted in late February when US and Israeli forces launched massive airstrikes on Iranian targets, including leadership assassinations and missile sites. Iran hit back hard with hundreds of ballistic missiles on Israel and attacks on Gulf neighbors, shutting parts of the Strait of Hormuz and dragging in proxies like Hezbollah.

President Trump floated a ceasefire and a 15-point deal, but Iran rejected it outright, laying down its own five conditions and vowing to end the war on its terms.

Guterres pointed fingers at all sides: telling the US and Israel to halt their assault before it causes “tragic consequences” for civilians and poor nations hit by energy chaos, while demanding Iran stop targeting uninvolved neighbors.

As strikes continue and replies pour in online, the world watches nervously. Diplomacy is fading fast, and the risk of a broader meltdown grows by the day.

Saudi Crown Prince Drops Bombshell on Iran: $150 Billion in Cash Funneled Straight to Terrorism

Saudi Crown Prince Drops Bombshell on Iran: $150 Billion in Cash Funneled Straight to Terrorism

Riyadh just went nuclear on the mullahs.

In a no-holds-barred speech, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ripped the mask off Iran’s so-called “government.” He called it what it is: a pure ideological terror machine that cares nothing for its own starving people and everything for missiles, proxies, and global chaos.

The evidence? Crystal clear. After the disastrous 2015 nuclear deal handed Iran $150 billion in sanctions relief, not one dime went to roads, schools, homes, or factories for Iranians.

Every dollar fueled missiles slamming into Saudi Arabia and bankrolled terror outfits from Hezbollah to the Houthis and beyond.

MBS didn’t stop there. He exposed how Iran is still sheltering top Al-Qaeda leaders—including Osama bin Laden’s son Hamza, who was raised under Iranian protection and is now grooming himself as the next face of global jihad.

Mossad Chief Admits Iran Regime Change Could Drag On for a Full Year

Mossad Chief Admits Iran Regime Change Could Drag On for a Full Year

Israel’s top spy boss David Barnea told the cabinet that toppling Iran’s mullahs will most likely take one year, with timelines stretching from months to even longer.

His plan leans on a “death by a thousand cuts” approach cooked up under previous leaders, including quick sparks for opposition riots once fighting starts and quiet backing for anti-regime groups like Kurdish militias in Iraq.

Critics inside the system say Barnea is overpromising to allies, including the Trump administration, setting up unrealistic expectations for a fast collapse.

A year-long fight risks real pain at the pump. Iran supplies about 4 percent of global oil and sits astride the Strait of Hormuz, which handles 20 percent of the world’s seaborne crude.

Economists warn of fresh inflation spikes, slower growth, and higher energy costs hitting American families and businesses hard, especially in Europe and Asia.

India Tells Iran: No Permission Needed – Navy Sends 7 Warships to Guard Oil Lifeline

India Tells Iran: No Permission Needed – Navy Sends 7 Warships to Guard Oil Lifeline

India just drew a firm line in the sand against Iranian strong-arm tactics in the Strait of Hormuz. New Delhi made it crystal clear: the strait is an international waterway under UNCLOS rules. No permission, no crew lists, no “protection” fees required for Indian ships to pass.

While the world watches Iran-Israel tensions choke off 20 percent of global oil flows, the Indian Navy launched Operation Urja Suraksha and deployed seven frontline warships – including destroyers – in the Gulf of Oman and Arabian Sea. Their mission is simple and tough: escort India-bound tankers carrying LPG, crude, and LNG straight through the danger zone.

This is no empty gesture. India relies on these routes for 90 percent of its LPG imports. Disruptions hit kitchens and factories hard. The Navy has already guided ships like Jag Vasant and Pine Gas to safety, with more escorts rolling out. Warships stay outside the strait but stand ready to protect every mile to Indian waters.

No begging Washington. No weakness. Just clear-eyed strategic autonomy backed by steel. India is putting its navy where its energy security is – and sending a loud message: mess with our tankers at your peril.

PF PRESIDENT MAKEBI ZULU TAKEN TO COURT

PF PRESIDENT MAKEBI ZULU TAKEN TO COURT

According to Diamond TV Zambia Patriotic Front (PF) faction Secretary General Morgan Ng’ona has initiated contempt of court proceedings against Makebi Zulu and 12 others following the party’s recent convention.

The legal action stems from a November 2025 ruling by the Kabwe High Court, which issued an injunction preventing the Patriotic Front then led by Given Lubinda from holding a convention until ongoing leadership disputes were resolved.

Despite the court order, Mr. Ng’ona alleges that the party went ahead with the convention on March 21, 2026, where Makebi Zulu was elected president. He argues this action was in direct disobedience of the court’s injunction.

Mr. Ng’ona is also seeking to have additional individuals joined to the contempt proceedings, including Brenda Nyirenda (acting Secretary General), Given Lubinda, Abraham Mwansa, Celestine Mkandila, Jean Kapata, Frank Ngambi, Chanda Kabwe, Richard Musukwa, Godfridah Sumaili, Silvian Chalikosa, Mumbi Phiri, and Lawrence Sichalwe.

The matter is now before the courts as the dispute over PF leadership continues.

Longwe Escalates Legal Offensive — Moves to Paralyze UPND Operations樂路

Charles Longwe, a so called UPND “CholaBoy,” or sorry meant member has now become a full blown nuisance.
What began as a legal challenge has now intensified into a full-scale attempt to halt the ruling party in its tracks.

Charles Longwe, a self-proclaimed UPND member who recently dragged the party to the Lusaka High Court, is raising the stakes. In his initial action, Longwe cited Secretary General Batuke Imenda, demanding that the United Party for National Development convene what he claims was an overdue party convention slated for February 14, 2026.

Now, in a dramatic escalation, Longwe has filed for an injunction seeking to freeze the party’s operations entirely.

If granted, the order would bar the UPND from:
• Conducting any activities at its Secretariat
• Using official letterheads, logos, or party materials
• Engaging in any form of organizational operations

In effect, the application seeks to bring the party’s machinery to a standstill while the legal battle unfolds.

What started as a dispute over internal party processes is rapidly morphing into a high-stakes confrontation—one that could, if the court rules in Longwe’s favor, temporarily incapacitate the ruling party at its core.

Kafwaya Declares “Verdict Already Sealed” as Opposition Rhetoric Intensifies

🇿🇲 BRIEFING | Kafwaya Declares “Verdict Already Sealed” as Opposition Rhetoric Intensifies

Lunte Member of Parliament Mutotwe Kafwaya has escalated opposition rhetoric ahead of the August 13 general elections, declaring that President Hakainde Hichilema’s political fate has already been decided by voters.

Speaking in an interview, Kafwaya claimed the electorate had long reached its conclusion, stating that “the people of Zambia have already decided that aleya… in fact aliya kale,” suggesting the President’s exit is inevitable regardless of the campaign period.

He further alleged that the ruling administration is increasingly resorting to pressure tactics against opposition figures, arguing that recent developments point to efforts to weaken political competitors. According to him, “what we are seeing is a situation where the opposition is being squeezed so that they did not stand a chance to oust President Hichilema.”

Kafwaya also raised concerns over national security narratives, challenging government to provide clarity on individuals it considers threats. He said the absence of transparency risks creating fear and uncertainty, adding that “this government should give us a list of people who are a danger to the nation rather than creating confusion.”

The lawmaker criticised recent actions involving opposition figures, including Fred M’membe and Brian Mundubile, describing the situation as troubling and calling for an end to what he termed arbitrary actions. He warned that such developments could erode public confidence in democratic institutions if not addressed

He also referenced President Hichilema’s earlier political remarks, arguing that confrontational political strategies would not succeed, and urged a shift toward a more measured approach as the country heads toward elections.

Kafwaya’s comments reflect a broader intensification of political messaging from opposition figures, as narratives around state power, electoral fairness and political space continue to shape Zambia’s pre-election environment.

PF SAYS IT IS READY FOR GENERAL ELECTIONS WITH MAKEBI ZULU AS PRESIDENT

PF SAYS IT IS READY FOR GENERAL ELECTIONS WITH MAKEBI ZULU AS PRESIDENT

THE opposition Patriotic Front is confident it will be on the ballot for the 2026 general elections, with Makebi Zulu as its leader.

PF Deputy Secretary General Celestine Mukandila says the party considers its recently held convention, legitimate, as it involved party structures from 116 districts and 156 constituencies, making it transparent and credible and is now focusing on unity and consolidation.

Mr. Mukandila tells Phoenix News that the former ruling party anticipated some members would not accept the outcome, but that they are open to bringing back those who distanced themselves during the leadership dispute.

He has however indicated that the PF is preparing for alternative options in case the court judgment does not go in their favor and that their actions do not defy court orders.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PUBLIC NOTICE:

CONSTITUTIONAL COURT SETS DATE FOR JUDGMENT ON PEOPLE’S PACT APPLICATION TO STAY 2026 ELECTION DELIMITATION

====================

LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – The nation is hereby informed that the Constitutional Court of Zambia has officially scheduled the judgment of the application filed by the People’s Pact.

The application seeks an order to stay the implementation of the constituency and ward delimitation exercise currently being undertaken by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) for the purpose of the 2026 General Election.

Judgment Details

Date: Monday, March 30, 2026
Venue: Supreme Court, Lusaka
Time:09.00hrs
Matter: Application for a Stay of Implementation (Delimitation Exercise). The matter comes up for delivery of judgment before the Full Court.

Background

The People’s Pact has moved the Court to halt the ongoing delimitation process, citing concerns over the constitutional framework and the potential impact on the upcoming 2026 electoral map. This legal action follows the recent commencement of the delimitation exercise by the ECZ, which is intended to redefine electoral boundaries ahead of the April 30 certification deadline for the voters’ register.

The People’s Pact contends that the current implementation requires further judicial scrutiny to ensure it aligns with the will of the people and the principles of fair representation.

We urge all stakeholders, members of the press, and the general public to attend Court as this matter carries significant weight for the integrity and organization of the 2026 General Elections. The People’s Pact remains committed to ensuring that the electoral process is transparent, constitutional, and inclusive of all Zambian voices.

WHY I THINK COUNSEL DICKSON JERE SHOULD CONTINUE WRITING ON LAW- Kellys Kaunda

By Kellys Kaunda

WHY I THINK COUNSEL DICKSON JERE SHOULD CONTINUE WRITING ON LAW

When journalists study and enter other professions,  something begins to happen to the latter: the mystery behind them begin to peel off.

For instance, if a journalist becomes an engineer, a medical doctor, a farmer, a football coach, you name it, they may start to write about them.

Speaking for myself, beyond journalism, I have studied public policy, energy, climate change, security, psychology, international trade diplomacy, among other disciplines.

Consequently, I write on these matters frequently because I see them through a media and communication prism.

When we acquire other degrees, as journalists, what immediately comes to our minds is to turn them into stories or material for public education.

There’s a way in which journalism packages subjects normally hidden in jargon for ease of public consumption.

This way, the public becomes intelligent about the disciplines in question.  In turn, they seek professional help armed with intelligent questions.

But being intelligent about other disciplines doesn’t make you a professional. It simply helps you shop around intelligently.

For instance, some doctors like Aaron Mujajati have been educating the public on health matters for a long time.

In fact, there’s a branch of medicine dedicated to teaching health matters for the benefit of the public.

ZNBC has been running a lot of programs on health matters. But people haven’t stopped seeking medical assistance.

Instead, they help prevent hazardous lifestyles just as a basic understanding of the law helps the public avoid committing offenses or avoid fraudsters.

In any case, just as in medicine, there is always a disclaimer, namely, “This is no substitute for professional assistance”.

Media Houses, especially in the west, employ lawyers, doctors, former military officers, economists, etc., to regularly report and comment on developments that touch on disciplines of their expertise.

Here at home, it was (and I think it still is) the practice of media houses such as the Times of Zambia, the Zambia Daily Mail and ZNBC to assign permanent reporters to cover court stories.

This is because legal issues are important stories for the public. So, to have a former journalist continue this role after qualifying as a lawyer is a bonus for both the journalism profession and the public.

In fact, media houses in Zambia could contract him to be a regular guest on matters of law or assign him a column to write on legal matters important for public consumption.

Furthermore, legal education of the kind Counsel Jere has been doing encourages the public to avoid taking matters into their own hands but seek professional legal services to settle them.

This means, contrary to the suggestion that lawyers’ business would suffer, it should boom.

In any case, the cases Counsel Jere shares are a matter of public record. The courts issue them for public consumption. They want the public to know about them and learn from them.

In fact, this is precisely why most court cases are conducted in open court where members of the public are in attendance.

The service Counsel Jere is doing is to bring these cases out of their shelves, give them context, and place them on a public platform.

This way, beyond the parties to the matter, a lot more people become beneficiaries.

In other words, those judgments are not an exclusive preserve of lawyers or a commercial opportunity for them.

Instead, those judgments are tools for public education. Indirectly, they serve as an encouragement to those looking for a career in law.

As a matter of fact, the Law Association of Zambia, LAZ, must encourage public education in respect of legal matters.

Trump Moves Closer to Ground War as Thousands of U.S. Troops Deployed Toward Iran

BREAKING: Trump Moves Closer to Ground War as Thousands of U.S. Troops Deployed Toward Iran

Donald Trump is moving the United States closer to a potential ground war with Iran, ordering thousands of elite Army paratroopers to deploy to the Middle East as his administration weighs its next step.

U.S. officials say troops from the 82nd Airborne Division, including rapid-response forces trained to deploy within hours, are now preparing for high-risk missions. While the administration hasn’t confirmed whether they’ll be sent directly into Iran, the fact that the option is on the table is raising alarm.

The deployment follows a steady escalation. The 82nd Airborne abruptly pulled out of a training exercise earlier this month as Trump expanded bombing operations inside Iran, signaling that plans were already shifting behind the scenes.

At the same time, thousands of Marines are being moved into position on warships heading toward the region, with additional forces expected soon. The military buildup is happening quickly, and it’s not subtle.

Officials are also discussing a potential seizure of Kharg Island, a critical piece of Iran’s oil infrastructure that handles the vast majority of its exports. Taking it could give the U.S. leverage, but it would also put American troops directly in the line of fire from Iranian missiles and drones.

All of this comes as Trump has refused to rule out putting U.S. troops on Iranian soil — a move that could pull the country into a deeper and far more dangerous conflict.

US-ISRAELI STRIKES CRIPPLE IRANIAN MISSILE FACTORY IN MAJOR BLOW TO REGIME

US-ISRAELI STRIKES CRIPPLE IRANIAN MISSILE FACTORY IN MAJOR BLOW TO REGIME

In a decisive joint operation on March 25, 2026, US and Israeli warplanes hammered a key Iranian missile production facility in Alborz Industrial Town, Qazvin Province.

At least seven precision bombs slammed into the site, flattening the compound and rendering it completely non-operational.

Dramatic nighttime video shows massive explosions ripping through the industrial buildings, with huge fireballs and thick smoke confirming direct hits and secondary blasts from stored munitions.

This latest strike is part of the ongoing US-Israeli campaign to dismantle Iran’s ability to churn out ballistic missiles and threaten the region. The mullahs’ war machine is taking heavy losses, their teeth being pulled one factory at a time.

America and Israel are sending a clear message: aggression against the free world will not stand. The regime in Tehran is on the ropes.

FIVE SENANGA TEACHERS ARRESTED OVER ASSA•ULT OF PUPIL IN VIRAL VIDEO

FIVE SENANGA TEACHERS ARRESTED OVER ASSA•ULT OF PUPIL IN VIRAL VIDEO

Police in Western Province have arrested five teachers from Senanga Day Secondary School, including the headteacher, for allegedly assa•ulting a 15-year-old pupil, authorities have confirmed.

According to police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga, the arrests followed the circulation of a widely shared video recorded at the school.

He explained that the footage showed a pupil insulting teachers and the headteacher after being punished for reportedly engaging in a fight.

Mr. Hamoonga stated that the matter was officially reported to police on March 19, 2026, by the boy’s father, Lungowe Mooka, aged 51, of the Mwanambinyi East Plots area.

The father reported that his son had been assa•ulted three days earlier, on March 16, 2026.

Police indicated that the victim sustained several injuries, including neck pain, pain on the left side of the ribs, backache and general body pains.

Mr. Hamoonga said the inju•ries were allegedly inflicted through the use of fists and slaps.

The suspects have been identified as headteacher Kaitwa Kamona, along with teachers Febian Mushoke, Mubiana Milale, Jere Simataa, and Masialeti Kubindwa.

Mr. Hamoonga further revealed that all five suspects had been charged with assa•ult on a child, contrary to Section 248A of the Penal Code of the Laws of Zambia.

He added that the accused individuals had since been released on police bond and are expected to appear in court soon.

PF LUSAKA PROVINCE VICE SECRETARY CLEMENT TEMBO RESIGNS

PF LUSAKA PROVINCE VICE SECRETARY CLEMENT TEMBO RESIGNS

By Victoria Kayeye Yambani

Former National Presidential Empowerment Coordinator Clement Tembo has resigned from his position as Lusaka Province Vice Secretary of the Patriotic Front, citing what he describes as a growing departure from the party’s founding pro-poor ideals and a deep concern for the future of the country.

Tembo says the PF has strayed from its original mission and become a party that largely benefits the wealthy and politically connected, arguing that its electoral loss was self-inflicted rather than caused by external forces

He alleges that the adoption process was marred by corruption and manipulation, with capable candidates sidelined in favour of individuals with financial influence or links to senior party officials, including figures such as Davis Mwila.

He further claims that during the leadership of former President Edgar Lungu, the party was surrounded by individuals who lacked genuine commitment to both the party and the country, fostering a culture that prioritised loyalty over competence—an issue he says contributed significantly to the PF’s decline.

He adds that hopes for reform after losing power have been undermined by persistent internal wrangles, confusion over leadership, and controversial actions by figures such as Miles Sampa and Robert Chabinga, further destabilising the party.

He has cautioned individuals against exploiting former President Lungu’s name for personal advancement, stating that such actions contributed to the challenges that Edgar Lungu faced.

Former MI6 Chief Declares Iran Has the “Upper Hand” in War with US and Israel

Former MI6 Chief Declares Iran Has the “Upper Hand” in War with US and Israel

In a stark and exclusive assessment, Sir Alex Younger who led Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) from 2014 to 2020 has stated that Iran currently holds the upper hand in the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel.

Speaking to The Economist’s defence editor Shashank Joshi, Younger said:

“Iran has the upper hand. I regret reaching that conclusion. I spent most of my career dealing with the violence and brutality of the Revolutionary Guards. I did not shed a tear over the de∆th of Ali Kh∆menei, but the reality is that the United States underestimated the task and, about two weeks ago, lost the initiative to Iran.”

He highlighted Iran’s strategic resilience, including its ability to turn the conflict into a global one through energy warfare and framing it as a “war of existence.”

This comes as US-Iran negotiations continue amid heightened tensions.

“Are you negotiating with yourself?” Iran brutally mocks Trump for claiming that Iran wants to “make a deal so badly”

“Are you negotiating with yourself?” Iran brutally mocks Trump for claiming that Iran wants to “make a deal so badly” in harsh reality check to Trump, making it clear that he’s finally found himself in a crisis that he cannot lie his way out of!

Yesterday, President Trump declared that the war was won, that his administration was in touch with “the right people” in Iran and that they want to “make a deal so badly.”

Iranian military spokesman Lt. Col. Ebrahim Zolfaghari fired back with derision, asking if Trump was “negotiating with himself” and made it clear that Trump has burned all of his off-ramps out of this war.

“Do not call your defeat an agreement. Neither will your investments in the region happen or return, nor will you see the previous prices of energy and oil.”

“Until our will is present, no situation will return to the previous state; this will arises only when the thought of action against the Iranian nation is completely erased from your filthy minds.”

“Our first and last word from day one has been, is, and will be: No one like us will come to terms with anyone like you. Not now, and never ever.”

Their position is quite understandable, as Trump and Pete Hegseth used the cover of bad-faith negotiations they never intended to honor to move military assets into the Gulf and then launched an unprovoked war of aggression against them.

There are serious consequences to throwing all our international credibility in the trash. Every agreement the US has ever made, Trump has thrown it in the trash, spat in the face of ally and foe alike, and behaved with a shocking moral depravity that makes it clear he has no conscience and no sense of honor.

Why would anyone EVER trust any deal made with Trump again?

At this point, Trump’s promises of a “15-point agreement” and negotiations with Iran are more for the benefit of attempting to calm the markets than it is any legitimate progress in ending this war of choice that has gone disastrously.

Trump has made his own tar pit – and now he’s going to sink in it. Let’s just hope he doesn’t drag the rest of us down with him.

BOOTPRINTS OF WAR: US ‘QUIETLY PLOTS’ GROUND STRIKES INSIDE IRAN

BOOTPRINTS OF WAR: US ‘QUIETLY PLOTS’ GROUND STRIKES INSIDE IRAN

A dramatic escalation may be looming as the United States is reportedly preparing for possible ground operations inside Iran a move that would mark a major turning point in the conflict.

Military planners are said to be exploring scenarios including paratroopers seizing Kharg Island, the critical hub handling around 90% of Iran’s oil exports, while Marines could target strategic islands near the Strait of Hormuz. Elite U.S. special forces are also reportedly being considered for precision raids on nuclear facilities.

If confirmed, this would signal a shift far beyond airstrikes into direct boots-on-the-ground warfare. The reported plans come as Donald Trump faces mounting pressure over stalled diplomacy.

Now deep into the crisis, the once firm “no ground troops” stance appears to be softening raising fears that the conflict could either force a rapid resolution or spiral into a devastating regional war.

“JET DOWN!” Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Claims Strike on U.S. Warplane in Dramatic Showdown

“JET DOWN!” Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Claims Strike on U.S. Warplane in Dramatic Showdown

A fresh wave of tension has erupted after Iran claimed it shot down a U.S. F-18 fighter jet in a high-stakes confrontation over the Indian Ocean

In a bold statement, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its air defence systems successfully targeted the aircraft near Chabahar, alleging the jet was brought down by advanced, domestically developed missile technology. Footage released by Iranian sources purports to show the moment of impact, though the claims remain unverified.

If confirmed, the incident would mark a rare and dramatic escalation with only a handful of similar cases recorded, including during the Gulf War and the Bosnian War.

Iranian officials hailed the strike as a “major victory,” warning that any further incursions would be met with decisive force, as tensions between Tehran and Washington threaten to spiral further.

Democrat FLIPS Trump’s Mar-a-Lago District and New Data Points to GOP Trouble in Midterms

BREAKING🔥: Democrat FLIPS Trump’s Mar-a-Lago District and New Data Points to GOP Trouble in Midterms

A major upset just hit one of the most symbolic Republican strongholds in the country, and it’s sending a clear warning sign for the GOP.

Democrat Emily Gregory has won a special election in a Florida state House district that includes Mar-a-Lago. This is the same district Donald Trump carried by 11 points in 2024. Gregory defeated Trump-endorsed Republican Jon Maples by a wide margin, even as nearly all votes were counted.

That alone is striking. But what comes next is even more important.

CNN data analyst Harry Enten says this result is part of a broader national trend. Across special elections since 2024, Democrats are outperforming expectations by about 12 points on average compared to the presidential baseline.

That kind of swing is not normal. And historically, it matters.

Enten pointed out that in every similar case going back to the mid-2000s, the party that overperformed in special elections went on to win the House in the next midterm. Every single time.

So what happened in Trump’s own backyard is not just local. It may be a preview.

If these trends continue, Republicans could be heading into a much more difficult midterm cycle than they expected, including in districts they assumed were safe.

Iran top commander vows to fight until “complete victory”

Iran top commander vows to fight until “complete victory”
A senior Iranian military commander has declared that Iran will continue its military operations against the United States and Israel until achieving “complete victory,” reinforcing a hardline stance amid ongoing tensions.

Speaking via state broadcaster IRIB on March 24, the commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters stated that the armed forces will defend the country’s territorial integrity at all costs and will not halt operations until their objectives are fully achieved.

The statement comes as parallel diplomatic efforts reportedly continue between Washington and Tehran, including a temporary pause in U.S. airstrikes to allow space for negotiations described as “progressing.”

However, the contrasting signals between Iran’s military posture and diplomatic channels have raised concerns over the prospects of any near-term agreement, with Israeli security officials remaining skeptical about Tehran’s intentions.

BOMSHELL: Jack Smith evidence shows Trump may have stolen classified docs to profit from his businesses

BOMSHELL: Jack Smith evidence shows Trump may have stolen classified docs to profit from his businesses

Special counsel Jack Smith compiled evidence suggesting Donald Trump selectively retained hundreds of classified documents tied directly to his global business ventures after leaving the White House in January 2021, and investigators identified personal financial gain as a likely motive for his refusal to return them, according to newly released case records reviewed by congressional investigators.

Among the most alarming revelations: Trump allegedly showed a classified map to passengers aboard a private aircraft, including his future chief of staff Susie Wiles, and held at least one document so sensitive that only six people in the entire federal government were legally authorized to view it.

A January 2023 internal progress memo from Smith’s office stated plainly that Trump held onto classified materials connected to his business interests, framing it as an established motive.

When FBI agents conducted an unannounced search of Mar-a-Lago in August 2022, they discovered hundreds of additional top secret pages Trump and his legal team had sworn were already returned to the government.

Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland, the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, cited the memo in a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi this week, demanding answers about what he called a deliberate cover-up of the evidence behind Trump’s document hoarding. Raskin wrote that the newly surfaced disclosures point to a sitting president who may have compromised national security for personal enrichment.

“This glimpse into the trove of evidence behind the coverup reveals a President of the United States who may have sold out our national security to enrich himself,” Raskin wrote.

The White House pushed back, with spokesperson Abigail Jackson dismissing the allegations as politically motivated and calling the Jack Smith investigation discredited.

Smith himself has remained largely silent under Justice Department restrictions preventing him from publicly discussing the evidence or conclusions contained in the unreleased second volume of his investigation.

Pope Leo XIV slams Trump’s war, calls on world leaders to choose dialogue over weapons

BREAKING: Pope Leo XIV slams Trump’s war, calls on world leaders to choose dialogue over weapons

Pope Leo XIV renewed his urgent call for peace this week, issuing an impassioned plea to world leaders to pursue ceasefire negotiations rather than military escalation as the conflict involving Iran continues to intensify.

Speaking to journalists outside Villa Barberini in Castel Gandolfo, the Pope did not hold back. “Hatred is increasing, violence keeps getting worse, more than a million people are isolated, and there are so many dead,” he said, painting a stark picture of the human cost being paid while governments reach for weapons instead of words.

“I wish to renew the appeal for a ceasefire, to work for peace, but not with weapons — with dialogue, truly seeking a solution for everyone,” Leo said directly to the gathered press.

His remarks came amid growing reports that the United States is planning to deploy thousands of additional troops to the Middle East as part of a broader military buildup tied to the expanding Iran conflict.

The Pope had already signaled his alarm earlier in the week during his Angelus address, where he expressed deep distress over conditions in the Middle East and other war-torn regions. “We cannot remain silent in the face of the suffering of so many defenseless people,” he said. “The death and pain caused by these wars is a scandal for the entire human family.”

He closed with a direct appeal to those in positions of authority. “I urge all authorities to truly work through dialogue to resolve problems,” he said, and called on the faithful to pray that “hostilities may cease and paths to peace may finally open up, based on sincere dialogue and respect for the dignity of every human person.”

Russia is reaping a staggering financial boost from the Iran war, with energy revenues surging by nearly 70% in just one month. As global markets scramble and oil prices spike, Moscow has quietly positioned itself as one of the biggest winners without launching a single missile.

The Kremlin has seized the moment to strengthen its economic footing, shelving plans for fiscal tightening and keeping its reserve fund strategy firmly intact.

Even proposed budget reforms have been pushed back to 2027, signalling confidence in a prolonged period of elevated income.

While others bear the cost of conflict, Russia is capitalising on chaos, selling more energy at higher prices and tightening its grip on global supply.

In this war, Moscow hasn’t needed military might its real weapon has been timing, and it’s paying off handsomely.

Iran Fires 88th Missile Barrage as Diplomacy Crumbles

Iran Fires 88th Missile Barrage as Diplomacy Crumbles

Iran’s IRGC unleashed its 88th wave of missile strikes since late February tonight, slamming six Israeli cities and hitting U.S. military bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan.

The barrage came even as Turkey, Egypt, and Pakistan scramble to set up urgent U.S.-Iran talks within 48 hours, according to WSJ sources. Mediators are working overtime, but the launches are speeding up, not slowing down.

Night skies lit up with streaks of missiles and interceptors over urban areas, echoing the intensity of past escalations but now part of a grinding month-long exchange after three weeks of U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Iran.

Talks or no talks, Tehran is sending a clear message: pressure stays on. The region edges closer to wider conflict with no off-ramp in sight.

Ramaphosa Acknowledges Charges Against SAPS Commissioner Masemola Amid Major Corruption Probe

Ramaphosa Acknowledges Charges Against SAPS Commissioner Masemola Amid Major Corruption Probe

President Cyril Ramaphosa has officially acknowledged that the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has confirmed criminal charges against General Fannie Masemola, the National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS). Masemola’s first court appearance is scheduled for April.

Masemola is expected to appear in court over his alleged involvement in the controversial R360 million SAPS health services tender linked to businessman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala.

The case forms part of a broader investigation into irregular procurement within the police.

The President’s office also noted the recent arrests of 12 senior police officers tied to the same procurement investigation, signalling a deepening crackdown on corruption within the SAPS

In a brief statement, President Ramaphosa said he would address the situation “in accordance with the law” and emphasised his commitment along with that of the Minister of Police to preserving the stability and operational capability of the SAPS.

These developments underscore growing pressure on South Africa’s police leadership, as multiple inquiries and prosecutions reveal alleged corruption and misconduct at the highest levels of the service.

Democrats just flipped a Florida state House seat inside Trump’s own Mar-a-Lago district

BREAKING: Democrats just flipped a Florida state House seat inside Trump’s own Mar-a-Lago district

Democrats scored a significant victory in Florida on Tuesday, flipping a state House seat in Palm Beach County that covers the same territory as President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. Emily Gregory, a health and fitness small business owner, defeated Trump-backed Republican Jon Maples in the race for Florida’s District 87, capturing just over 51 percent of the vote with more than 95 percent of ballots counted.

The seat had been vacated after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed incumbent Republican Mike Caruso as county clerk and comptroller. Caruso had last won the district by double digits, and Trump himself carried it by roughly 9 points in 2024, making Gregory’s win all the more striking.

Trump voted by mail in the contest, and a string of prominent Republicans had rallied behind Maples, including congressional candidate Byron Donalds and Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier. Democrats countered with support from the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, retired Lt. Col. Alex Vindman, and Rep. Lois Frankel.

DLCC Chair Heather Williams did not hold back in her reaction. “Mar-a-Lago’s state House district just flipped from red to blue, which should have Republicans worried about their chances this November,” she said. “A Trump +11 district in his own backyard shouldn’t be in play for Democrats, but tonight proves Republicans are vulnerable everywhere.”

The victory builds on growing Democratic momentum in Florida. In December, Democrat Eileen Higgins became the first Democratic mayor of Miami in decades after defeating Republican Emilio Gonzalez.

UAE soldier killed as Iran launches drone and missile attacks on joint base in Bahrain

Bahrain’s Defense Force (BDF) has confirmed the death of one United Arab Emirates (UAE) soldier during joint operations with Bahraini forces, following Iranian missile and drone attacks.

The incident occurred on March 24 in Manama, as forces were engaged in intercepting incoming missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles targeting security-related infrastructure. Several personnel from both countries were also reported injured.

A Bahraini military spokesperson described the attack as a hostile act and a violation of regional sovereignty, emphasizing that the operation was aimed at critical defense infrastructure.

Since the escalation began on February 28, Bahrain’s air defense systems have reportedly intercepted and destroyed a total of 301 drones and 153 missiles.

ALEYA, IN FACT ALIYA KALE- Kafwaya tells Hichilema the game is already over,  he should prepare to pack and go

ALEYA, IN FACT ALIYA KALE
…Kafwaya tells Hichilema the game is already over,  he should prepare to pack and go

LUNTE Member of Parliament Mutotwe Kafwaya says the people of Zambia have already made up their minds to remove President Hakainde Hichilema from power on August 13, saying the verdict of the electorate was sealed long before the campaigns had even begun.

Speaking in an interview with The Mast on Saturday, Kafwaya said it was evident that President Hichilema was alarmed by the growing popularity of the opposition and had responded by resorting to the arrest and intimidation of opposition figures in a desperate attempt to silence dissent ahead of the elections.

“What we are seeing is a situation where the opposition is being squeezed so that they did not stand a chance to oust President Hakainde Hichilema in August. But this man must know that the people of Zambia have already decided that aleya [He is going], in fact aliya kale. [he went a long time ago],” he said.

Kafwaya challenged the government to publicly name the individuals it considered a danger to national security to avoid fuelling speculation and public anxiety.

He said the government had an obligation to make public a clear and transparent list of politicians and other individuals deemed a threat to national security so that citizens could make informed judgements about the basis for such allegations.

“What is happening is quite serious and we do not know who to meet since we are politicians and have to meet a lot of people. This government should give us a list of people who are a danger to the nation rather than creating the confusion it created the other day,” he said.

He said what had happened to People’s Pact 2026 presidential aspirant Dr Fred M’membe and Tonse Alliance president Brian Mundubile was unfortunate and demanded an immediate end.

Kafwaya warned that the arbitrary arrest of political leaders in the manner being employed by the United Party for National Development (UPND) administration would create widespread anxiety among Zambians and erode confidence in the country’s democratic institutions.

He said the remarks by Hichilema about using imingalato to deal with the opposition would not work for Zambia and it was high time he abandoned that.

“Do you remember that President Hichilema was categorical about engaging in imingalato and said if the opposition is dancing in this corner, he would be doing the same in the other corner,” he said.

Kafwaya said Hichilema’s plot against the opposition was confirmed by Minister of Information and Media Cornelius Mweetwa.

CADREISM IS WORSE UNDER UPND THAN PF, CLAIMS REV. SUMAILI

CADREISM IS WORSE UNDER UPND THAN PF, CLAIMS SUMAILI

FORMER Religious Affairs Minister Reverend Godfridah Sumaili claims that there is worse cadreism under the UPND than there was under the PF.

And Reverend Sumaili says she supports recently elected PF faction president Makebi Zulu because he has what she describes as special grace, adding that people actually see Edgar Lungu in him.

Speaking when she appeared on the Zambia Decides podcast, Reverend Sumaili acknowledged that there was cadreism under the PF but argued that the behaviour was now worse.

“Any form of violence, any form of thuggery behaviour, abuse of people, harassment of people is to be condemned, it has no room in a nation, especially [one] that is a Christian nation. Our desire is to see peace, to see respect for people and respect for human dignity and respect for human rights, that’s what we want to see. I agree with you that during our time there was some kind of what they called cadresim, to be a cadre is a good thing but unfortunately it has been painted in a negative manner. When Dr Edgar Chagwa Lungu came back to active politics, in his first message he apologised to the people of Zambia for whatever wrong that the PF had done, one of them is that same issue which they were calling cadreism,” she said.

“We acknowledge that, but what I can say is that unfortunately that kind of behaviour has become worse under the UPND. We have seen a lot of harassment of people. We have seen people being beaten without any cause. We have seen insults. It’s so unfortunate because these are young people who are insulting elderly people, even our late president was at many times insulted by young people. And the unfortunate thing is that to be honest, I have never heard this President, President Hakainde Hichilema condemn any form of violence”.

She added that the PF had spent the time since leaving office reflecting and looking for better ways to serve the Zambian people.

“The past four years that we have not been in government, it has been a time of reflection. It has been time of looking back and say how can we serve the people of Zambia better? What do we need to do? Yes, we delivered to the people in terms of infrastructure, in terms of social services, schools have been built, hospitals have been built. But how do we now relate with people in a respectful manner? How do we ensure that we have social justice? How do we ensure that we maintain the One Zambia, One Nation? Which as of now there has been a compromise in terms of segregation and that kind of thing. We can’t say we were perfect no, but we’ve had time to reflect and I know that we are ready to serve the people of Zambia better,” Reverend Sumaili said.

Asked why she supported Zulu, Reverend Sumaili said from a spiritual perspective she discerned his “special grace”.

“I chose to support Makebi Zulu from the beginning because from the spiritual angle we are able to discern where the grace is. You see, God talks about times and seasons, each one has a season and a time and if you are in the spirit, you are able to discern, this time that we are in, who is the one? And yes he carried special grace. There is something about this young man Honourable Makebi Zulu, a virtue which we need in a leader. Loyalty defines a person, this is a man who stayed with ba Edgar Chagwa Lungu from the time that we left office in 2021, he was there with ba Edgar Chagwa Lungu and he helped out through out with the cases, the courts he was always with him,” she responded.

“He stayed with our former president throughout the time that ba Edgar Chagwa Lungu was seeking medical attention in South Africa, he stayed until the departure of our president. When he died, Makebi was there and he stayed, we know for so many months. So if there is any message that ba Lungu had, he passed it on to Makebi Zulu who was by his side. If there was any important information for the party and for the nation, he left it with Makebi Zulu. ‘If you see me go, I’ll drop the mantle and you take it’, so there is that grace. But in addition to that Makebi Zulu represents the young people and we know that the majority in the population are young people, they are the youths, and if we have to attend to their needs, they need a young person as a president”.

She further claimed that people see late president Edgar Lungu in Zulu when they meet him for the first time.

“He’s 44 years old, he’s a young constitutional lawyer who has distinguished himself in the practice of law. Makebi is honest and corrupt free. Makebi brings a breath of fresh air to the politics in Zambia and I know without a shadow of doubt, he’s going to deliver. This is a young man who fears God, this is a young man who fears people, he’s humble like ba Edgar Chagwa Lungu. You know, actually when people see him for the first time they see ba Edgar Chagwa Lungu in him. He’s carrying those traits of humility, respecting people and one thing he has been talking about is the respect for the Constitution,” said Reverend Sumaili.

Pentagon Moves Up to 4,000 Troops Toward Middle East as 82nd Airborne Joins Rapid Buildup

Breaking News : Pentagon Moves Up to 4,000 Troops Toward Middle East as 82nd Airborne Joins Rapid Buildup

The United States is preparing to deploy up to 4,000 additional troops to the Middle East, with elements of the 82nd Airborne Division now actively joining the growing military buildup amid escalating regional tensions.

According to defense reporting, the Pentagon has placed a significant number of troops on heightened readiness, with forces expected to either deploy or remain on standby for rapid movement. The 82nd Airborne Division, one of the U.S. Army’s premier rapid response units, is central to this effort due to its ability to deploy globally within short timeframes. This development signals a shift from purely naval and air positioning toward potential ground force readiness in the region.

The deployment package is expected to include a mix of infantry, logistical support, and specialized units designed for contingency operations. While officials have not publicly confirmed specific mission objectives, the force posture suggests preparation for a range of scenarios, including force protection, evacuation operations, deterrence, or limited ground engagements if required.

This buildup comes alongside an already expanding U.S. military presence in the region, which includes carrier strike groups, air assets, and missile defense systems. The addition of airborne troops significantly enhances the United States’ ability to conduct rapid insertion operations, secure key infrastructure, or respond to sudden escalations on the ground.

Pentagon officials have emphasized that these measures are precautionary and intended to protect U.S. personnel and interests in a volatile environment. However, the scale and composition of the deployment indicate a serious level of concern within U.S. defense planning circles regarding potential developments in the Middle East.

The involvement of the 82nd Airborne Division is particularly notable, as it is typically reserved for high-readiness missions where immediate deployment capability is critical. Its activation underscores the urgency and unpredictability of the current situation.

Kampyongo Challenges Makebi Zulu Victory, Says PF Convention “Illegal”

🇿🇲 BRIEFING | Kampyongo Challenges Makebi Zulu Victory, Says PF Convention “Illegal”

Fresh divisions have emerged within the Patriotic Front (PF) after Shiwang’andu Member of Parliament Stephen Kampyongo rejected the outcome of last week’s convention that declared lawyer Makebi Zulu as party president.

Kampyongo, a former Home Affairs Minister, has argued that the process itself was flawed and unlawful, insisting that the party could not validly hold a general conference while a matter remains before the courts.

“Convening a general conference before the Court of Appeal delivers judgment is unlawful,” he said, adding that any leadership outcome from that gathering “has no legal standing.”

His remarks introduce a legal dimension to what had already been a politically contested process.

The convention, described by some insiders as secretive, produced results that have circulated widely on social media, showing Makebi Zulu leading with 49.2 percent from 110 districts. He was followed by Chitalu Chilufya (34.1 percent), Given Lubinda (8.7 percent), Chanda Katotobwe (4.8 percent), Greyford Monde (1.9 percent) and Chishimba Kambwili (1.4 percent).

However, the absence of public concession from key losing candidates and now open rejection from figures like Kampyongo suggests the outcome is far from settled within the party.

The dispute now sits at the intersection of law and internal politics. With the Court of Appeal yet to pronounce itself on the broader PF leadership wrangles, the legitimacy of any convention held in the interim is likely to remain contested.

This development deepens uncertainty within the former ruling party as it approaches the August 13 general elections, with multiple factions, competing claims of authority and ongoing court processes continuing to shape its internal dynamics.

Trump’s trillion-dollar war demand ? Gulf states under pressure as Iran conflict escalates

Trump’s trillion-dollar war demand ? Gulf states under pressure as Iran conflict escalates

As tensions surge across the Middle East, a controversial claim is shaking diplomatic circles: Donald Trump is allegedly pushing Gulf allies to pay $2.5 trillion to end the war or $5 trillion to continue it.

The claim, originating from an Omani analyst citing alleged leaks, has not been officially confirmed by the United States or any Gulf government. But its timing is critical.

With missiles flying and strategic routes like the Strait of Hormuz under threat, economies in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar are already feeling the pressure. Oil flows are unstable, insurance costs are rising, and trillion-dollar investment plans are now being reassessed.

Whether true or not, the narrative reflects a deeper reality: the cost of war is no longer just military…it’s economic leverage at a global scale.

Trump has previously made it clear that U.S. allies must “pay for protection.” Now, as conflict involving Iran intensifies, the question is no longer hypothetical:

Is Washington turning security into a financial transaction ?

Behind the scenes, Gulf nations are walking a dangerous line…balancing reliance on U.S. military power while quietly reconsidering long-term alliances in a shifting global order.

If such demands were ever formalized, they could mark a turning point…pushing key allies closer to alternative powers like China and Russia.

For now, one thing is certain:
the war is expanding and so is the price of loyalty

Iran Snubs Trump’s Envoys, Begs for JD Vance in Peace Talks

Iran Snubs Trump’s Envoys, Begs for JD Vance in Peace Talks

Iran just delivered a sharp slap to the Trump administration’s inner circle. According to CNN and multiple regional sources, Tehran flat-out refuses to resume negotiations with special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, citing a total breakdown in trust after earlier talks collapsed into military action.

Instead, the mullahs are signaling they want to deal directly with Vice President JD Vance, whom they view as more level-headed and eager to end the endless Middle East entanglement.

President Trump made clear today that talks are active and involve Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Witkoff, and Kushner. The White House fired back hard: Trump alone picks America’s negotiators—not Iran.

This move screams weakness from a regime that’s taken heavy hits. Iran dictating terms? That’s not diplomacy; it’s desperation dressed up as preference. They lost faith in the previous channels after the strikes, but Vance represents the no-nonsense America First wing skeptical of forever wars and nation-building traps.

Conservatives have long warned against letting family insiders and real estate types run sensitive foreign policy. Now even enemies see the mismatch. Vance, the Marine veteran and populist voice, stands out as the adult who prioritizes U.S. interests over endless drama.

Iran Rejects Any Deal With U.S., Says Washington Is “Negotiating With Itself”

Breaking News : Iran Rejects Any Deal With U.S., Says Washington Is “Negotiating With Itself”

Iran’s central military command, Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, has issued a sharp and unequivocal rejection of any potential negotiations with the United States, declaring that Washington is effectively “negotiating with itself” amid ongoing tensions.

According to statements reported by credible international media, the spokesperson for the headquarters criticized U.S. messaging around diplomacy and ceasefire efforts, questioning whether Washington has reached a point where it is engaging in self-directed negotiations rather than meaningful dialogue with Tehran.

In a strongly worded response, the Iranian side also made clear that no agreement is on the table, emphasizing that Iran will not come to terms with the United States under current circumstances. The statement underscored a hardened stance from Tehran, signaling that prospects for de-escalation through negotiations remain highly unlikely in the near term.

This development comes at a time of heightened regional tensions, with both sides engaged in intense strategic posturing. Iran’s messaging reflects a broader refusal to accept external pressure or concessions, particularly on core security and military policies.

The remarks highlight a deepening diplomatic deadlock, raising concerns about further escalation as communication channels appear increasingly strained.
