Saudi Arabia Warns Iran “Patience Has Limits” Amid Ongoing Energy Strikes
Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud has warned Iran that Saudi Arabia’s patience “will not last forever” as attacks on the kingdom’s energy infrastructure continue.
He urged Tehran to “reconsider all plans” before the situation escalates into direct confrontation.
The Saudi foreign minister also stated that the already “fragile trust” between the two countries has been completely shattered, and restoring relations could take years even after the conflict ends.
Despite ongoing diplomatic and economic pressure, he أكد that Saudi Arabia “reserves the right to take military action” if its national security continues to be threatened.
Energy facilities across the kingdom have been repeatedly targeted since the conflict began on February 28, raising fears of a wider regional escalation.
UN Backs Safe Shipping Corridor in Persian Gulf to Evacuate Stranded Crews
The United Nations, through the International Maritime Organization (IMO), is calling for the urgent establishment of a safe shipping corridor in the Persian Gulf to evacuate stranded vessels and crews.
The appeal follows a two-day emergency meeting in London, where member states strongly condemned threats and attacks on commercial shipping, as well as the disruption of maritime routes in the region. The proposal, however, is non-binding.
According to UN data, around 20,000 seafarers remain stranded on approximately 3,200 vessels west of the Strait of Hormuz. At least eight crew members or port workers have been killed since the conflict escalated on February 28.
The IMO urged Iran to immediately halt actions affecting maritime safety, including attacks on vessels and interference with shipping lanes, while also calling for international cooperation to ensure safe navigation.
Tehran criticized the statement as “biased, unjust, and legally flawed,” accusing the organization of ignoring what it described as unlawful aggression and political interference.
Meanwhile, Bahrain, Japan, Mexico, Panama, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates have jointly proposed a framework to enable safe evacuation operations, with backing from the United States and other partners.
BRIAN MUNDUBILE ARRESTED FOR SPONSORING CHANDA NONDE TO RUN MUNYAULE FACEBOOK PAGE
Arrest of Hon. Brian Muntayalwa Mundubile for Alleged Cyber-Related Offences
March 20, 2026 – The Zambia Police Service has formally charged and arrested Hon. Brian Muntayalwa Mundubile aged 55 of Lusaka for the offence of Aiding, Abetting, and Counselling to commit Hate Speech, contrary to Section 55 as read with Section 65 of the Cyber Security and Cyber Crimes Act No. 2 of 2021 of the Laws of Zambia.
Brief facts of the matter are that between February 8, 2023, and January 31, 2025, Hon. Mundubile, allegedly acting in concert with another known individual, is suspected of having aided and counselled the operation of a Facebook page known as “Munyaule Zambia” by providing both content and financial support to Mr. Chanda Nonde, identified as the page’s administrator.
The page is alleged to have published malicious and hateful content targeting various individuals over a sustained period.
The suspect was warned and cautioned in June, 2025 and was only arrested yesterday March 19, 2026 in Lusaka.
The suspect has since been released on a police bond and is expected to appear in court soon.
The Zambia Police Service reiterates its commitment to upholding the rule of law and combating all forms of cyber-related offences, including the spread of hate speech.

STANDING ON UPND TICKET DOES NOT MEAN AUTOMATIC RE-ELECTION – LUBINDA
Opposition Patriotic Front (PF) Faction President, Given Lubinda, says the recent defection of two PF Members of Parliament in Muchinga Province to the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) comes as no surprise to the former ruling party.
The lawmakers, Sunday Chanda of Kanchibiya Constituency and Majory Nakaponda of Isoka Constituency, have reportedly switched allegiance ahead of the upcoming elections, opting to contest on the UPND ticket.
Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today, Mr. Lubinda said the PF had long been aware that some members had effectively distanced themselves from the party well before formally defecting.
“It is not surprising to the party, some of these individuals left the party a long time ago but were simply hiding behind the party for the sake of retaining their positions,” said Mr. Lubinda.
Mr. Lubinda added that joining the ruling party does not guarantee electoral success, stressing that the ultimate decision rests with voters.
“The elections are around the corner, let’s wait and see whether the people in those constituencies are happy with leaders who betray their goals,” said Mr. Lubinda.
The title above is rather sensational, but read to the end, because it is probably not what you think.
So, the news is splashed with the political mileage gained by Brian Mundubile after he was detained and prevented from travelling out of the country at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. He was later taken to Ibex Police Station (the same police station where former First Lady Esther Lungu was detained in 2023).
The good part is, he was released this morning, 20th March 2026, on police bond, and I am reliably informed that Patriotic Front Acting President Given Lubinda was on hand to welcome him out of police detention. But as I followed this news, I could not help but recall what happened only a few months ago
On 9th December 2025, I was part of the team that travelled with Honourable Makebi Zulu from Lusaka to Kasama District to attend the funeral of the late Kasama Mayor. We had travelled through the night. But as Makebi Zulu and part of the team were arriving in Kasama in the early hours of the morning, around 8 a.m., the vehicle he was travelling in was involved in an accident. It flipped, was caught by trees, and landed upside down.
Makebi Zulu was trapped in the VIP seat. He had to be pulled out of the vehicle alongside Former DMMU coordinator Mr Chanda Kabwe, who was in the front passenger seat, and Honourable Richard Musukwa, who was at the back with him. They were rushed to Kasama District Hospital. My team and I were about an hour behind them.
By the time we reached the scene, the vehicle had already been lifted and returned to its normal position, but it was badly damaged. When we got to the hospital, we managed to see Makebi Zulu and the team. He was in pain. He complained about his chest, where the seatbelt had squeezed him. He also complained about pain in the back and had swelling behind his left ear. Even then, he was trying to be positive and lighthearted.
I spoke to Honourable Richard Musukwa, who, to me, is like my elder brother. He was trying to be strong, but it was clear he was not okay. He looked frail and shaken, though he did not want attention on himself. He wanted people to focus on President Makebi Zulu. Mr Chanda Kabwe was equally in pain. He, too, looked deeply affected, not just physically, but emotionally. It was a near miss. They could have perished in that accident.
Within a short time, they had received primary treatment at Kasama District Hospital. A number of Patriotic Front officials from the district and constituency came through to check on President Makebi Zulu. Before we got there, PF Acting President Given Lubinda had already visited him at the hospital. He was in town for the funeral programme of the late Mayor of Kasama, but he still made time to go and make sure Makebi was fine before returning to the programme.
Brian Mundubile was also in town. But he did not bother to see his friend. He did not go to the hospital. Makebi Zulu was later evacuated from Kasama, and Brian Mundubile simply did not care enough to show concern.
Everyone knew what had happened. Makebi Zulu had been involved in a serious car accident. Brian Mundubile was in the same town, but he ignored it. No call. No appearance. No care.
That did not stop us from doing what needed to be done. We organised a flight for Makebi Zulu, Honourable Musukwa and Chanda Kabwe to return to Lusaka. By 12:30, we were already at the airport. Once the formalities were complete, they boarded the plane and flew back to Lusaka. The rest of us had to find our way back after a programme that had been completely shattered.
But before we left Kasama, we heard that Brian Mundubile was holding meetings with party structures in the area. Those from the province, district and constituencies were meeting him. But at one of those meetings, he was said to have behaved disrespectfully toward Acting President Given Lubinda and chased him away. That incident would be forgiven but not forgotten. Mundubile was only a candidate for the PF presidency. Honourable Given Lubinda was the Acting President of the party.
Fast forward to 19th March 2026, barely three months and ten days later. Brian Mundubile was detained at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport and stopped from leaving the country. He was then taken to Ibex Police Station. Up to now, there has been no clear public explanation about where he was going or the exact reason for the detention.
What followed was striking. Photos spread all over social media. Politicians and supporters flooded the Ibex Police Station to stand with Brian Mundubile. The station was full of people around him. It became a political scene and a photo opportunity.
That is what makes the comparison impossible to ignore.
This is the same police station where former President Edgar Chagwa Lungu was blocked from entering when his wife, Esther Lungu, was detained inside on 6th September 2023. Yet in Mundubile’s case, his supporters were inside the precinct, taking photos and moving around freely. It looked like VIP treatment at the same place where even a former Head of State had once been made to stand outside.
But that is not even the most important part of this story.
Late in the night, well past 22 hours, Makebi Zulu drove to Ibex Police Station to see Brian Mundubile. He went there to show care for a colleague, a fellow lawyer, a former colleague in PF, and a man who is now his counterpart in the opposition. That is the part people must sit with.
Mundubile did not visit Makebi when Makebi was in the hospital after a serious accident in Kasama, even though he was in the same town and only minutes away. But when Mundubile found himself in police detention, Makebi still went to see him.
And what happened? Just like Edgar Lungu had once been prevented from entering the same police station, Makebi Zulu was also blocked from entering. He stood at the gate while there were many people inside, including Mundubile’s own supporters. He was not allowed in. While others were inside taking photos and smiling, Makebi remained outside until it started raining. Only then did his security pull him away and take him home.
That is the tale of two men.
The contrast does not end there. When Brian Mundubile’s wife lost her mother, Makebi Zulu was in Eastern Province. At the same time, Brenda Nyirenda, a close ally of Brian Mundubile, had people in her constituency issuing derogatory statements against Makebi Zulu. Makebi Zulu did not respond. Instead, he travelled back on the day of the burial, went straight to the cemetery, sat next to Brian Mundubile, and offered his condolences.
That is why the question matters: why did Makebi even bother to visit Mundubile?
The answer is in the pattern. When Mundubile had the chance to show concern, he did not. When Makebi had the chance to show concern, he did. When Mundubile could have visited Makebi in the hospital, he stayed away. When Mundubile had a funeral in the family, Makebi travelled back to stand with him. When Mundubile was detained at Ibex, Makebi went there to console him, even though he was denied entry.
So when some people say Makebi Zulu should not have gone because Mundubile is his political rival, I disagree. Makebi Zulu’s so-called mistake is a far better mistake than Mundubile’s.
Politics is not only revealed in speeches, rallies and television appearances. Sometimes it is revealed in these smaller moments. A hospital visit that never happened. A funeral where one man showed up. A police station gate where one man stood outside in the rain after coming to see someone who had not done the same for him.
That is where character shows.
When you are looking at politics, do not rush to condemn. It is in moments like these that a man reveals his heart.
Don’t contest in Keembe, I’m already there, Kasune tells women vying for Parley
JUSTICE Minister Princess Kasune says women should not contest in Keembe Constituency because she is already representing the area, saying they should instead target male-dominated areas to increase female representation in Parliament.
Kasune, who is the incumbent Member of Parliament for Keembe constituency said women must avoid concentrating in constituencies where fellow women are already in office if the country is to achieve balanced leadership.
Speaking during the launch of the Voice of the People (VoP) initiative under the theme “Strengthening local voices in Constitutionalism, Governance and Democracy in Zambia” today, the Minister said there was need to be strategic in their political ambitions.
She said women should not be comfortable with the 20 parliamentary seats that the new constitution amendment automatically provides but must push for greater inclusion.
“Women, go where there are more men, don’t come to Keembe, I’m already there, go where there are more men so that we can have balanced representation,” Kasune said.
“Can you imagine a Parliament where 50 percent are men and 50 percent are women? Wouldn’t that be beautiful?”
Kasune added that women must not relax after gaining a few seats in Parliament but should continue pushing for more opportunities.
“Let’s not just sit at home and be relaxed because we already have some seats. Women can go beyond what we have been given,” she said.
She also called on youths to take advantage of opportunities created through constitutional reforms, noting that provisions now exist to increase representation for youths, women and persons with disabilities.
On December 18, last year, President Hakainde Hichilema assented to the Constitution of Zambia (Amendment) Bill No. 7 of 2025, officially turning it into law.
Bill 7 sought to amend the Constitution by revising the composition of the National Assembly and increasing the number of constituency-based seats, in line with the Electoral Commission of Zambia’s delimitation report.
It introduced a mixed-member proportional representation system to guarantee representation of women, youths and persons with disabilities in Parliament.
The Lusaka High Court has ruled that Paramount Chief Mpezeni has powers to install and remove any Chief under him who has been found wanting for gross misconduct under the Ngoni culture and traditions.
The Court confirmed the removal of Aaron Jere as Chief Kapatamoyo who was dethroned by Mpezeni in 2013 and replaced with his half brother Levy Jere as new Chief Kapatamoyo of the Ngoni people.
Mpezeni removed Aaron Jere on the grounds that he was selling land in his chiefdom to Indians and others and displacing villagers as his land was prime and near Chipata town and part of Chizongwe Secondary School.
But Aaron Jere sued Mpezeni and three other Chiefs in which he claimed that under the law, a Chief cannot be removed unless he is convicted to jail sentence or has gone mad but that his appointment as traditional leader is for life.
However, High Court Judge Sharon Newa ruled that under the Ngoni tradition, Mpezeni as the head of the establishment, has powers to dethrone a chief who is found wanting like the case in point
“Aaron Jere was dethroned as Chief Kapatamoyo in accordance with the Ngoni tradition, and he was replaced by his half brother Levy Jere,” the Judge said.
“The evidence on record has established that the Ngoni culture, customs and tradition permit Paramount Chief Mpezeni to dethrone a subordinate chief,” the Judge said.
The Court has also ordered Aaron Jere to pay legal costs for the whole case for Mpezeni, Chief Madzimawe, Chief Mnukwa and Levy Jere who were used in the matter.
Mpezeni and the Ngoni Chiefs were represented by Dickson Jere of Dickson Jere & Associates while Aaron Jere was represented by Simukonda of Kangombe and Associates.
NAKONDE CLERGY ENDORSE PRESIDENT HICHILEMA FOR 2026 ELECTIONS
The clergy in Nakonde and the United Party for National Development (UPND) in Muchinga Province have endorsed President Hakainde Hichilema for the upcoming August 2026 general election.
The declarations were made during engagements with the President at Central Park in Nakonde ahead of the commissioning of the Nakonde One Stop Border Post.
Speaking on behalf of the clergy, First Africa National Church Reverend Lemson Sintunfya commended President Hichilema for the massive development the country is experiencing.
In response, President Hichilema said he was humbled by the endorsement and assured the clergy that government will continue to work hard for the people of Nakonde and the nation at large.
He urged the clergy to encourage their followers to move forward with government initiatives and take advantage of empowerment programmes such as the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Muchinga Province UPND Chairperson Beddah Kabombo said the party’s decision was driven by the massive development and commitment the government has demonstrated in the province.
President Hichilema thanked the people of Nakonde District for their support in implementing various government programmes.
Kanchibiya Member of Parliament Sunday Chanda praised President Hichilema for his inclusive leadership, saying he does not discriminate but works with everyone regardless of political affiliation for the benefit of the Zambian people.
America Arms Up the Gulf: $23.5 Billion in Weapons to Counter Iran
The United States just approved a massive $23.5 billion arms package to fortify key Gulf allies against Iranian aggression.
The State Department greenlit $16.5 billion in formal sales to the UAE, Kuwait, and Jordan. That includes advanced missile defenses, radars, F-16 munitions, anti-drone systems, and more for the UAE; $8 billion in cutting-edge missile defense radars for Kuwait; and aircraft support for Jordan.
On top of that, another $7 billion in unannounced deals went straight to the UAE, expanding existing contracts. No congressional review needed.
Highlights include $5.6 billion in Patriot PAC-3 missiles and $1.32 billion in Chinook helicopters, plus AMRAAM air-to-air missiles, THAAD-linked radars, and other high-end gear.
This flood of hardware comes just three weeks after Iran launched missiles at these same nations, forcing desperate calls to Washington for protection.
Iran Slams UAE for Expelling 2,500 Students, Shuts Down Iranian Schools Files Complaint to UN & UNESCO
Iran has strongly condemned the United Arab Emirates after authorities ordered the expulsion of more than 2,500 Iranian students and the closure of Iranian schools escalating tensions beyond the battlefield into the civilian sphere.
Tehran confirmed it has formally filed complaints with the United Nations and UNESCO, accusing the UAE of violating international rights related to education and the protection of foreign nationals.
The move is seen as a significant diplomatic flashpoint, as it directly impacts civilians and signals a widening scope of pressure against Iran outside traditional military channels.
With regional tensions already on edge, the incident raises concerns that the conflict is expanding into political, social, and humanitarian dimensions far beyond conventional confrontation.
Putin’s plan for demilitarization fails as Ukraine develops Europe’s largest army and drone warfare capabilities…
It appears that Russia’s plan to “demilitarize” Ukraine has indeed backfired. Since the 2022 invasion, Ukraine has transformed into one of Europe’s most formidable military powers, largely due to extensive battlefield experience and rapid innovation, particularly in drone warfare.
With approximately one million people in its armed forces, Ukraine now has one of the largest armies in Europe, second only to Russia. Unlike many other armies, possessing extensive modern combat experience.
Before the 2022 invasion, Ukraine’s active personnel was significantly smaller, but wartime mobilization has dramatically increased its numbers, surpassing major NATO powers like France, Germany, and the UK.
Ukraine has become a global hub for drone innovation out of necessity. It has established a separate branch of its armed forces for drone systems and is set to produce millions of drones.
Ukrainian engineers have developed a range of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), from inexpensive, disposable FPV (first-person-view) drones that can destroy expensive tanks to sophisticated long-range models capable of striking targets 3,000 km away. This expertise is now being exported, with Ukrainian specialists advising forces in the Middle East on how to counter drone attacks.
Ukraine’s innovative tactics are forcing Western militaries, including the U.S. Army, to rewrite their own battle doctrines. The effectiveness of low-cost drones against traditional military hardware like tanks and ships is changing the calculus of modern combat. NATO countries are studying Ukraine’s rapid development and deployment of new technologies, which can go from concept to battlefield in weeks.
The war has fundamentally altered European security. In response to the invasion, NATO has called Russia the most “direct threat” to Western security and has significantly bolstered its eastern flank. The conflict also prompted Finland to join the alliance.
European nations have been forced to reassess their defense policies and increase military spending. In this new environment, Ukraine is seen less as a simple aid recipient and more as a critical security partner with invaluable combat experience.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has even suggested that Ukraine’s army could form the “backbone” of a future united European military force.
Russia to refer women who don’t want children to psychologists
Russia will refer women who do not want to have children to psychologists under new health guidelines designed to address a systemic demographic crisis
Russia’s dwindling birth rate has been one of President Vladimir Putin’s main worries during his 25-year rule and with Moscow having sent hundreds of thousands of young men to the front in Ukraine over the last four years, the problem has only worsened.
Under new guidelines from the health ministry for reproductive health checks, doctors will ask women how many children they want to have.
If the woman answers zero, “it is recommended to send the patient to a consultation with a medical psychologist with the goal of forming a positive attitude towards having children.
The recommendations were approved in late February but only picked up by state media this week.
The Kremlin chief casts Russia’s shrinking population as a matter of national survival – warning in 2024 Russia faced “extinction” if it did not boost birth rates.
Russia’s birth rate is running at a 200-year low of around 1.4 per woman — far below the 2.1 that demographers say is necessary for a stable population.
In recent years Moscow has tightened abortion rules and passed bills to make so-called “child-free propaganda” illegal.
Breaking News : Netanyahu’s Controversial Remark Comparing Jesus Christ to Genghis Khan Sparks Global Outrage Amid Iran Conflict
In a televised English-language press conference on March 19, 2026, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a provocative historical reference while defending the need for overwhelming military strength against threats like Iran’s regime.
Citing historian Will Durant’s book *The Lessons of History*, Netanyahu stated:
“History proves that, unfortunately and unhappily, Jesus Christ has no advantage over Genghis Khan. Because if you are strong enough, ruthless enough, powerful enough, evil will overcome good. Aggression will overcome moderation.”
The comment, part of a broader argument that morality alone cannot ensure survival against aggressive forces, quickly went viral and drew sharp backlash. Critics accused it of being anti-Christian or insensitive, while supporters noted it was a direct quote from Durant to illustrate the harsh realities of history and power dynamics not a personal denigration of Jesus.
Netanyahu later clarified on X (formerly Twitter) that he did not intend to denigrate Jesus Christ, emphasizing that Durant was a fervent admirer of him, and the point underscored the necessity of strength in confronting “barbarians” who threaten societies.
The full transcript and context are available from The Times of Israel , which published the complete press conference remarks and Netanyahu’s follow-up statement.
This statement comes amid escalating US-Israel actions against Iran, highlighting debates over power, morality, and international conflict.
Kim Jong Un Parades Heir? Daughter Rides Tank Amid Live-Fire Drill Show of Force
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un appeared atop a battle tank while his daughter, Kim Ju Ae, was seen inside, as both observed a large-scale military exercise featuring drone strike simulations signaling a calculated display of power and succession.
State media revealed that Kim personally oversaw tactical drills involving next-generation tanks at a training ground in Pyongyang on March 19.
The exercise showcased enhanced capabilities in countering drones and anti-tank missiles, alongside efforts to modernize the country’s armored warfare industry.
Kim Ju Ae’s growing presence in high-profile military events is drawing increased scrutiny. Analysts in South Korea believe her repeated appearances may indicate early grooming as a potential successor an unprecedented move in North Korea’s dynastic power structure.
Her latest appearance follows earlier footage of her participating in live-fire training, including sniper rifle and handgun exercises alongside senior military officials further intensifying speculation over a controlled transition of power.
US Delivers Precision Strike on Tehran’s Underground Missile Factory
In the latest escalation of Operation Epic Fury, the United States conducted a targeted airstrike on a deeply buried ballistic missile production facility in Tehran.
The attack employed GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator bunker-busters, carried by B-2 Spirit stealth bombers, to penetrate reinforced underground structures.
Reports indicate the strike destroyed key production infrastructure and resulted in significant casualties among Iranian engineers and scientists on site. Secondary explosions confirmed the destruction of stored missiles and related equipment.
The operation aligns with ongoing US and Israeli efforts to degrade Iran’s missile manufacturing and launch capabilities. Earlier phases focused on stockpiles and launchers; this hit directly at the industrial base sustaining Tehran’s arsenal.
No official Pentagon confirmation has detailed this specific Tehran site, but multiple defense analysts and open-source reports describe similar use of heavy penetrators against hardened Iranian targets in March 2026.
The capability of the 30,000-pound GBU-57—designed to defeat up to 200 feet of reinforced concrete—underscores the strategic intent to neutralize facilities once considered invulnerable. Iran’s underground network, built over decades, now faces systematic dismantling.
IRGC Spokesman Unalived in Joint US-Israel Airstrike Hours After Asserting Iran’s Missile Production Remains Fully Operational
Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, official spokesman for Iran’s Isl∆mic Revolution∆ry Gu\rd Corps (I₹GC), was unalived early Friday in a targeted US-Israel airstrike, according to Iranian state television.
Just hours earlier, Gen. Naeini had publicly declared that Tehran’s missile manufacturing capabilities were intact and undiminished, stating that the country continued to produce missiles even under wartime conditions and dismissing claims that its arsenal had been neutralized. His remarks were broadcast widely in Iranian media as part of the regime’s ongoing information campaign amid the conflict.
The timing of the strike coming immediately after his defiant statement has drawn international attention.

Iran Establishes “Safe Passage” Corridor in Strait of Hormuz – Approved Ships Paying Up to $2 Million for Guaranteed Transit
In a major development amid heightened regional tensions, Iran has created a de facto “safe passage” route through its territorial waters in the Strait of Hormuz. The corridor allows only vessels pre-approved by Iranian authorities including vetting by the IRGC Navy and port officials to transit safely, while most international shipping remains severely restricted.
According to multiple confirmed reports, at least nine ships have already used the route. In at least one documented case, a tanker operator paid approximately $2 million to secure guaranteed passage.
The arrangement is reportedly coordinated through diplomatic channels with governments including India, Pakistan, Iraq, Malaysia, and China.
This marks a significant escalation in Iran’s control over the world’s most critical oil chokepoint.

America Sends 4,400 Marines to Confront Iran Threat in the Gulf
The U.S. military is moving fast to reinforce its position in the Middle East. The USS Boxer Amphibious Ready Group, carrying over 4,400 Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, has departed the West Coast ahead of schedule.
This second amphibious force is joining the USS Tripoli group already en route to the region.
The deployment comes as tensions with Iran escalate sharply. Iranian threats to close the Strait of Hormuz, attacks on shipping, and retaliation for U.S.-Israeli strikes have put global oil flows at risk.
The Boxer group—USS Boxer, USS Portland, and USS Comstock—brings aircraft, helicopters, assault vehicles, and combat-ready Marines to deter aggression and protect vital waterways.
This show of force sends a clear message: America will not allow Iran to choke off the world’s energy lifeline or threaten allies.
With carriers, strike aircraft, and now doubled amphibious power converging on the Gulf, the U.S. stands ready to defend freedom of navigation and respond decisively if needed. Strength through resolve keeps the peace.
Chinese Advisor Hints China Holds Epstein Secrets, Urges Full Disclosure Amid U.S.-Israel Tensions
In a recent interview on The Cradle with host Sharmine Narwani, Chinese international relations expert Victor Gao suggested Beijing may possess unreleased information on Jeffrey Epstein and called for complete public exposure of his network.
Gao stated: “I think it is just the right time for the fate as it has been displayed by Jeffrey Epstein and whoever was with him to be fully revealed to the world. … I think the fate as displayed by Jeffrey Epstein must be fully published to the world — especially in view of the relationship between Israel and the United States.”
When pressed directly—”Has China got the files?”—Gao replied with calculated restraint: “Finally everything has to come out into the sunshine. Let’s wait and see.”
Narwani described the response as “strategic ambiguity,” a hallmark of Chinese diplomacy that avoids outright confirmation while leaving the implication hanging.
The remarks come as partial Epstein document releases in recent years have left major names redacted, fueling persistent speculation about elite involvement and potential cover-ups.
Gao’s timing—tied to current geopolitical strains—raises questions about whether this is a veiled threat or mere rhetorical pressure from Beijing. No evidence has surfaced to verify Chinese possession of any files.
Trump Trolls Biden’s Legacy: Japan’s PM Can’t Stop Laughing at the Autopen “Portrait”
President Trump just delivered another masterclass in savage humor during Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s White House visit.
He casually guided her down the Presidential Walk of Fame – that cheeky outdoor display of past presidents installed back in September 2025 – and when they reached the spot for Joe Biden? No dignified headshot. Just a framed photo of an autopen robotically signing his name.
The PM lost it. Pointing and cracking up uncontrollably while Trump played tour guide like it was the punchline of the century.
The clip, shared by Nick Sortor, captures the moment perfectly: allies bonding over the obvious roast of the weakest presidency in modern history.
Breaking News : China’s J-16D Electronic Warfare Jet Spotted with Unusual Missile and Jamming Loadout Raising New Questions on Its Combat Role
China’s specialized electronic attack aircraft, the J-16D, has been observed carrying a rare and unconventional combination of missiles and jamming pods, signaling potential shifts in how the People’s Liberation Army Air Force intends to deploy its electronic warfare capabilities in future conflicts.
Recent imagery reveals that the J-16D is not only equipped with its standard electronic warfare pods but is also carrying what appears to be anti-radiation missiles designed to target enemy radar systems. This combination highlights the aircraft’s dual role as both a powerful electronic jammer and a direct suppression platform against enemy air defense networks.
The J-16D is derived from the J-16 multirole fighter, itself based on the Russian Su-30 design, but has been heavily modified for electronic attack missions. Unlike the standard J-16, the J-16D removes its internal cannon and infrared search and track system to make room for advanced electronic warfare systems. These include wingtip-mounted jamming pods and additional underwing electronic countermeasure equipment designed to disrupt, deceive, or disable enemy radar and communications.
What makes this latest sighting notable is the integration of an unusual loadout that combines heavy electronic warfare gear with offensive weaponry. The aircraft was seen carrying anti-radiation missiles believed to be capable of homing in on radar emissions, allowing it to actively destroy surface-to-air missile systems while simultaneously jamming them. This suggests a more aggressive doctrine where the J-16D does not merely support strike packages but plays a direct role in dismantling enemy air defense networks.
The presence of multiple jamming pods also indicates a focus on high-intensity electronic warfare environments. These pods are likely capable of wideband jamming, communications disruption, and possibly even advanced electronic deception techniques. Combined with kinetic strike capability, this configuration mirrors the operational concept seen in platforms like the American EA-18G Growler, which integrates electronic attack with anti-radiation missile strikes.
The development and deployment of the J-16D reflects China’s growing emphasis on electromagnetic spectrum dominance. In modern warfare, controlling the electromagnetic environment is increasingly critical, as it directly impacts radar performance, missile guidance, communications, and overall battlefield awareness.
This sighting may also indicate that the aircraft is undergoing operational testing or participating in exercises designed to refine tactics for suppression and destruction of enemy air defenses.
The ability to both jam and strike simultaneously would provide the Chinese Air Force with a significant advantage in contested airspace, especially against technologically advanced adversaries. While the exact specifications of the missiles and jamming systems remain undisclosed, the observed configuration reinforces the assessment that China is rapidly advancing its electronic warfare capabilities to match or potentially challenge Western systems.
French Naval Officer’s Strava Run Exposes Aircraft Carrier’s Position
A French Navy officer has handed adversaries a free intelligence gift. On March 13, 2026, he logged a 7.23 km run on the deck of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle using the fitness app Strava.
With his profile set to public, the GPS-tracked laps pinpointed the carrier’s near-exact location in the Eastern Mediterranean, roughly 150 km west of Cyprus and about 100 km from the Turkish coast.
The breach, first detailed by Le Monde, comes as the Charles de Gaulle and its strike group deploy toward the Middle East amid the ongoing conflict with Iran. France had announced the redeployment in early March but kept precise movements under wraps.
This is not a new vulnerability. Strava’s 2018 global heatmap already exposed secret U.S. military sites in Syria and Afghanistan.
The U.S. Department of Defense responded by restricting such apps on bases and devices. France now faces similar questions about training, policy enforcement, and basic operational security discipline.
One careless upload can compromise a capital ship and its escorts. The incident underscores a simple rule: when lives and national security are at stake, fitness data belongs offline.
Trump fires back at Japanese reporter, invokes “Pearl Harbor” in surprise attack debate
U.S. President Donald Trump responded sharply to a question from a Japanese reporter during a meeting with Sanae Takaichi in the Oval Office, addressing concerns over why U.S. allies were not informed ahead of strikes on Iran.
Japanese reporter: “Japan and the United States are close allies, but why were partners in Europe and Asia, including Japan, not informed in advance about the attack on Iran? Many Japanese citizens are confused.
Donald Trump: “You don’t want to signal too much in advance. When we went in, we went in very strongly and we didn’t tell anyone because we wanted surprise. And who understands surprise attacks better than Japan, right?”
Trump went on to make a sarcastic comparison referencing the attack on Pearl Harbor:
“Why didn’t you tell me about Pearl Harbor beforehand? You know about that, right? You’re asking about belief in surprise attacks I think you believe in it more than we do.”
BREAKING: Brazilian President Lula HAMMERS Trump for waging war around the globe, kidnapping foreign leaders, and acting as if he’s the “owner of the world.”
While some leaders cower in fear, he isn’t holding back…
“We have to learn to respect the self-determination of the peoples,” said Lula, full name Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. “We have to learn to respect the territorial integrity of the countries.
We cannot have someone who thinks he is the owner of the world and gets up in the morning and says I’m going to take Greenland! I’m going to take the Panama Canal! I’m going to take Cuba! I’m going to take Venezuela!”
“The UN Security Council was created in 1945. Those who participate in the Council are those who won the Second World War,” he explained. “So it’s the United States, it’s Russia, it’s China, it’s France, and it’s England. The rest of the world does not participate. But these five gentlemen, who are effective members of the Security Council, should meet to not allow war.”
Trump’s second term has been one long string of increasingly fascist maneuvers. His kidnapping of Venezuelan Nicolás Maduro was the act of a glorified mob boss. He had him snatched away in the dead of night in the hopes of seizing control of his nation’s vast oil reserve.
Now, he’s waging an illegal war against Iran on behalf of Israel, slaughtering innocent men, women, and children while burning through American tax dollars and the lives of our service members.
He’s already saber-rattling that Cuba could be next. If we allow this to continue, the entire world will eventually be drawn into the bloodshood.
World leaders must follow Lula’s lead. Stand up to Trump now before it’s too late.
North Korea Officially Unveils New Main Battle Tank “Chonma-2” as Kim Jong Un Showcases Military Power with Daughter
North Korea has officially introduced its latest main battle tank, the “Chonma-2,” in a high-profile military demonstration attended by leader Kim Jong Un and his daughter Kim Ju Ae marking both a technological leap and a symbolic show of succession.
The unveiling took place during a live military exercise around March 19–20, 2026, where Kim personally inspected the tank’s battlefield performance. The drill included coordinated maneuvers, drone strike simulations, and defensive operations against anti-tank threats highlighting a broader push to modernize ground forces.
The Chonma-2, previously referred to by Western analysts as the M2020, represents a significant departure from North Korea’s traditional Soviet-style tank designs. Its structure blends elements resembling the U.S. M1 Abrams turret with features similar to Russia’s T-14 Armata, signaling an effort to match contemporary global standards.
Equipped with a 125mm main gun, an automatic 30mm grenade launcher, and Bulsae-5 anti-tank missile systems mounted on the turret, the tank is designed for multi-layered offensive capability. It is also believed to feature an Active Protection System (APS), capable of intercepting incoming anti-tank projectiles placing it within a more advanced class of armored defense technology.
Estimates suggest the tank is powered by a 1,200–1,500 horsepower engine, offering improved mobility and battlefield flexibility. Kim Jong Un reportedly praised its maneuverability during the exercise, underscoring confidence in its operational readiness.
Kim Ju Ae’s presence at the event continues to fuel speculation among South Korean officials and defense analysts that she is being gradually positioned for future leadership an unprecedented move within the North Korean regime.
The debut of the Chonma-2 not only reflects Pyongyang’s ambition to upgrade its military capabilities, but also signals a deeper strategic narrative where modernization and succession appear to be unfolding side by side.
Justice Served: Israel’s Precision Strike Takes Out Iran’s Basij Spymaster
Another blow to the mullahs’ terror machine: The IDF has confirmed the elimination of Ismail Ahmadi, the ruthless intelligence chief of Iran’s notorious Basij militia, in a targeted airstrike on Tehran leadership earlier this week.
Ahmadi was the enforcer behind the regime’s brutal crackdowns, directing surveillance, arrests, and violence against protesters who dared challenge the Islamic Republic’s iron grip.
His unit played a key role in the savage suppression of dissent, including the bloody response to nationwide uprisings.
This strike, which also claimed Basij commander Gholamreza Soleimani and other top figures, shows Israel’s resolve to dismantle the IRGC’s oppressive network from the inside.

Cuba’s UN Ambassador Rejects Díaz-Canel Ouster Talks as Regime Defies Pressure
On March 19, 2026, Cuba’s ambassador to the United Nations firmly denied any discussions about removing President Miguel Díaz-Canel from office, calling such speculation off the table amid heightened U.S. demands and economic strain on the island.
The statement comes as ongoing bilateral talks—confirmed by Díaz-Canel himself earlier this month—aim to address longstanding differences, though Havana insists no political system change is up for negotiation and vows unbreakable resistance to external interference.
Polymarket traders remain skeptical. The market for “Miguel Díaz-Canel out as President of Cuba by June 30” currently shows a 46% chance of yes, down from earlier highs but still reflecting significant volume of around $374,000.
A broader market on him leaving office this year sits at roughly 69% probability for some endpoint in 2026.
The regime’s public defiance has cooled the most aggressive short-term bets, yet the crowd-sourced odds signal persistent doubts about Díaz-Canel’s long-term grip amid fuel shortages, blackouts, and Washington’s hard line.
Denmark Prepared to Blow Up Its Own Runways in Greenland – Fearing a U.S. Invasion
In January 2026, Danish forces quietly flew troops, explosives, and blood supplies into Greenland under the cover of a NATO exercise called Arctic Endurance. The real mission? Be ready to demolish key airports in Nuuk and Kangerlussuaq to block American landings if President Trump moved to seize the island by force.
Danish public broadcaster DR, citing high-level military and government sources across Denmark, France, and Germany, revealed the contingency plans today. Soldiers from Denmark’s Dragoon Regiment and elite Jaeger Corps joined French alpine troops, German and Swedish units in a rapid multinational buildup. Fighter jets and a French naval vessel were positioned in the North Atlantic. The goal was clear: raise the cost of any U.S. action so high that it would deter an outright grab.
No concrete evidence of American attack orders ever surfaced, but Trump’s repeated public insistence that the U.S. “needs” Greenland for Arctic security – plus his refusal to rule out tough measures – triggered sleepless nights in Copenhagen and Nuuk. Denmark decided it would fight rather than fold, a sharp departure from its non-resistance stance during the 1940 Nazi occupation.
European allies rallied fast, viewing the crisis as proof that Europe must handle its own defense. The deployments aimed to turn any U.S. move into a major hostile act against multiple NATO members.
Meanwhile, online reaction has been brutal: many users point out the sheer mismatch between Denmark’s military and America’s, mocking the runway-demolition plan as symbolic at best. The episode underscores just how deep the Greenland rift cut into the transatlantic alliance – all over an island most Americans had barely thought about until Trump put it back on the map.
Breaking News : “Eight Missiles for One Drone” Ukrainian Experts Shocked by Costly US Air Defense Strategy
A striking revelation from Ukrainian military instructors has exposed a major imbalance in modern air defense tactics, as they report that US and allied forces are sometimes firing multiple high-cost missiles to intercept a single low-cost drone.
According to Ukrainian experts involved in training and advisory roles, they were stunned to observe scenarios where up to eight expensive surface-to-air missiles were used to destroy just one incoming drone. The practice highlights a growing concern in modern warfare where cheap unmanned aerial vehicles are forcing defenders to expend disproportionately costly resources. .
The issue stems from the rapid evolution of drone warfare. Low-cost attack drones, particularly those similar to Iranian-designed Shahed systems, can be produced for tens of thousands of dollars, while the missiles used to intercept them can cost hundreds of thousands or even millions per shot. This cost asymmetry is increasingly seen as unsustainable in prolonged conflicts.
Ukrainian instructors, who have spent years countering mass drone attacks from Russia, emphasized that such tactics would quickly drain even the most advanced air defense stockpiles. Their battlefield experience has pushed them to adopt alternative solutions, including low-cost interceptor drones, electronic warfare, and layered defenses designed to reduce reliance on expensive missile systems.
The contrast has turned Ukraine into an unexpected source of expertise for Western militaries. Having faced thousands of drone attacks since the start of the war, Ukrainian forces have developed more cost-effective countermeasures, focusing on scalability and sustainability rather than relying solely on high-end interceptors.
The findings underscore a broader shift in warfare dynamics, where inexpensive, mass-produced drones are challenging traditional air defense doctrines and forcing militaries worldwide to rethink how they counter aerial threats without exhausting their resources.
Mexico Defies Trump: Resumes Oil Lifeline to Blackout-Hit Cuba
On March 19, 2026, President Claudia Sheinbaum declared Mexico will restart crude shipments to Cuba after a three-month pause forced by heavy U.S. pressure during the early Trump term.
Speaking directly to reporters, she framed the decision as a matter of national sovereignty: “Mexico decides who it trades with.”
Cuba has been gripped by rolling blackouts lasting up to 20 hours a day, crippling the economy and daily life. The resumed deliveries come after months of emergency fuel aid from Russia and smaller volumes from other allies, but analysts say Mexican oil—historically a steady supplier since the 1970s—is the most reliable lifeline available.
The announcement, captured in a widely shared video clip, has exploded online. Supporters hail it as principled anti-imperialist solidarity in the face of a 60+ year U.S. embargo. Critics call it a deliberate thumb in the eye of Washington and another subsidy for Havana’s one-party system.
The move risks fresh friction with the United States at a time when secondary sanctions on Cuba trade partners are once again being aggressively enforced. Mexico appears willing to test how far that enforcement really reaches.
Iran’s Regime Unleashes Cluster Warheads on Israeli Civilians
On March 19, 2026, the Islamic regime in Tehran fired yet another ballistic missile loaded with cluster munitions at Israel.
Footage captured the warhead dispersing submunitions over northern Israel, designed to scatter bomblets across wide areas and maximize civilian casualties.
This tactic marks a deliberate escalation. Israeli officials report that roughly half of Iran’s missiles since the conflict began have carried these banned weapons, which challenge even advanced defenses like Iron Dome.
Once the main missile releases its payload, interception becomes far harder, leaving shrapnel to rain on homes, roads, and cities.
The regime’s intent is clear: target innocents, terrorize populations, and inflict indiscriminate harm. While ordinary Iranians suffer under repression and protest for freedom, their rulers pour resources into weapons meant to slaughter civilians abroad.
Israel stands firm against this evil. The free world must recognize the threat for what it is—a barbaric regime that glorifies death and must be confronted without hesitation. No quarter for those who weaponize terror.
Mundubile was funding “Munyaule Zambia” admin – Police
POLICE have arrested afro-rearing Mporokoso Member of Parliament Brian Mundubile for allegedly funding the admin for a Facebook page called “Munyaule Zambia.”
In a statement, police assistant spokesperson Chipo Kaitisha said between February 8, 2023 and January 31, last year, Mundubile allegedly acting in concert with another known individual turned into content creators by providing content and money to the admin of the anti-government page, usually full of defamatory posts.
According to Kaitisha, the administrator has been identified as Chanda Nonde.
She said the page is alleged to have published malicious and hateful content targeting various individuals over a sustained period.

Kaitisha revealed that Mundubile was warned and cautioned in June, last year and was only arrested yesterday in Lusaka.
“The suspect has since been released on a police bond and is expected to appear in court soon.”
“The Zambia Police Service reiterates its commitment to upholding the rule of law and combating all forms of cyber-related offences, including the spread of hate speech,” she said.
OPPOSITION LEADERS UNITE AS MUNDUBILE IS FREED ON BOND
The release of Brian Mundubile on police bond has shifted attention beyond the charge itself, placing focus on the rare show of unity that unfolded at the point of his release in Lusaka.
Mundubile, who had been detained after being intercepted at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, spent a night in police custody before being released on a K50,000 bond. Authorities have charged him with aiding, abetting and counselling to commit hate speech under the Cyber Security and Cyber Crimes Act, with the case linked to alleged activity involving a Facebook page known as “Munyaule Zambia.”
What followed his release, however, carried political weight that extended beyond the legal process. At the centre of that moment was the presence of Given Lubinda, who stood alongside Mundubile as he emerged from custody. The image of the two leaders together drew attention, given the divisions that have characterised the Patriotic Front in recent months.
Other figures had also moved in solidarity. Harry Kalaba had earlier called for Mundubile’s release, questioning the manner in which he had been intercepted and detained. Makebi Zulu was among those who attempted to access him during detention but was denied entry, a development that raised further concern among those following the case.
The gathering of leaders from different factions and alliances marked a moment that many interpreted as a signal of possible convergence within the opposition. In a political environment shaped by fragmentation and competing structures, the presence of these figures at a single point carried significance.

The developments have also drawn attention to broader concerns around the treatment of opposition figures. Recent reporting has pointed to cases involving detentions, travel restrictions and legal action against political actors, raising questions about the space within which opposition activity operates.
Mundubile’s case now proceeds through the courts. At the same time, the moment of his release has left a separate imprint, one defined not by the charge, but by the alignment of figures who stood together as he walked free.
BRIAN MUNDUBILE AIRPORT INTERROGATION – BE CAREFUL HOW YOU HANDLE THIS MAN
By Kellys Kaunda
Once an overzealous female police officer in one district in Eastern Province warned Hakainde Hichilema not to step into her area saying, “tizamuvuvula” meaning “we ‘ll sort him out”.
At the time, Hichilema was an opposition leader and I was doing news analysis on HotFm Red Hot Breakfastshow.
Commenting on this story, I advised police officers to be careful how they handled Hichilema because he was going to end up their Commander-in-chief.
I advised the police to stay away from politics and remain impartial.
Furthermore, I argued that being a leading opposition leader, he was the likely successor to Edgar Lungu.
Later that day immediately after the program I accompanied a friend at Police HQ on an unrelated matter. We had just walked into Dr. Solomon Jere’s office when a senior investigations officer walked in and reminded Dr. Jere of what I had just said on radio.
Addressing Dr. Jere who at the time was Deputy Inspector General of Police, he said, “his advice was quite good. That female officer was definitely offline with her remarks”.
In another encounter, I was at Community House when Hichilema directed a question at me, “why do they arrest me even when I just go to the market and greet people and yet other opposition leaders do not get similar treatment?”
My swift answer was, “because the system has identified you as the real threat to power, so, they ll harass you”.
History repeats itself in this country very often. The same things happen so often, it’s like a movie you have seen over and over again.
The Zambia police have been the main actors with political authorities as the directors.
https://youtu.be/RquzYiGoKEU?si=oifDlAv7ZHZWuVWU
They have been doing this movie over and over again. The only faces that change are the victims – yesterday it was Hichilema, today, it’s Mundubile.
And it’s not small things they do. When you hear some of the things these officers (I don’t even know why some of them are called officers), did in Hichilema’s home when they went to arrest him, your heart will sink in shock and shame. It was so disgusting, you want to throw up.
Tragically, they never learn and they get away with ‘murder’ because no one is personally held to account.
One day, a commission of inquiry must be held in that particular incident so the public get to know the conduct of some police officers against opposition leaders.
Against this backdrop, my very strong advice to the police command is that be careful how you handle Mundubile.
He is just human and those suffering with him today are equally mere mortals. And most importantly, they are sinners like all of us.
When they rise to positions of power, they may not treat you kindly because forgiveness is one of the hardest commodities to acquire, let alone dispense.
And to those of you in political positions be careful, too, because the same treatment will be your portion when (note that am not saying ‘if’) you are no longer in charge.
In this life, how you treat others when you are in a position of privilege is how you are treated when tables turn.
Be the change you need to be so that when you are on the other side of power, you lie in the bed you made for others.
Chabinga Alleges Failed Impeachment Plot Against Former President Lungu Was Coiled by Lubinda
By Maimbo Mweemba
Patriotic Front President Robert Chabinga has alleged that a motion to impeach the late former President Edgar Lungu was once initiated in Parliament.
Speaking on the Kenny T One on One Mr. Chabinga says the motion was moved by Mazabuka Member of Parliament Garry Nkombo and seconded by former Roan MP Chishimba Kambwili.
He further claimed that at the time, then Justice Minister Given Lubinda was the architect behind the impeachment process.
Mr. Chabinga explains that he was later contacted by former Presidential Press Aide Amos Chanda and asked to help stop the motion, despite his political differences with President Lungu.
He says he subsequently challenged the matter in court, arguing that the motion was irregularly tabled by the Deputy Speaker instead of the Speaker of the National Assembly.
Mr. Chabinga adds that following the failure of the impeachment attempt, his relationship with Mr. Lubinda deteriorated.
He has since called on Zambians to be cautious of politicians whom he described as hypocritical and driven by personal interests.
PF Kanchibiya Member of Parliament Sunday Chanda and Mafinga lawmaker Robert Chabinga who is the current PF president have defected to UPND.
Chanda, a former media director of the former ruling party was before President Hakainde Hichilema’s victory widely known for his fierce and frequent criticism of the UPND.
However, in 2022, Chanda transitioned from an adversary of the ruling party to a collaborator and supporter of President Hichilema’s policies.
Chabinga on the other hand has been an ally of the ruling party since 2023 when he was appointed as leader of opposition in Parliament.
Speaking during a public engagement in Nakonde yesterday where President Hichilema was meeting UPND members, Chanda announced his defection to the ruling party while stating that the Head of State had a heart of a leader which focused on embracing everyone regardless of their past mistakes.
“If there was a person President Hichilema was supposed to beat when he became president, it’s me because I used to criticise him harshly. But he told me that I didn’t know what I was doing and told me to work with him. My friends even called me chisanguka. When they were telling me that, CDF was working in my constituency. What kanchibiya is today is not what it was in 2021,” said Chanda.
The Kanchibiya lawmaker also introduced his eight councillors in his constituency who defected to the UPND.
“I have eight councillors as mp here, these eight councillors are all coming with me to UPND. No one is remaining behind. What Kanchibiya is today is not what it was five years ago.”
“The reason I have delivered development is because I decided to work with the President. Uwaupa inoko ewiso (he who marries your mother is your father).
PF Isoka MP Majorie Nakaponda also joined the ruling party together with 57 councilors, mayors and council chairpersons.
Meanwhile, President Hichilema welcomed the defectors stating that despite Chanda being a strong critic of his some years back, he held no grudge.
“Sunday Chanda, my young brother used to talk a lot back then but I told him let’s work together, I like your talent and we are working well. Thats the heart of a President. That’s why his constituency is looking good,” he said.
President Hichilema stated that he was the President of everyone and he would continue to deliver development to every corner of the country.
STATEMENT FROM WILLAH J. MUDOLO, PF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
19th March, 2026
To the Members of the Patriotic Front Across Zambia and the General Public Fellow members of the Patriotic Front, fellow citizens, and the people of Zambia, I wish to address you with a deep sense of responsibility, constitutional discipline, and respect for the rule of law.
As the Presidential candidate under the Patriotic Front, I wish to make my position clear, firm, and unequivocal: I will not participate in the illegal conference reportedly scheduled for this weekend, the so-called “No Name” Conference. I have not resigned from the Patriotic Front, and I will not abandon the legitimate constitutional process in order to take part in an unlawful gathering. My nomination as a presidential candidate under the Patriotic Front remains valid, and I shall participate in their Patriotic Front presidential race following the determination of the matter before the courts on 27 March 2026.
My decision is not borne out of fear, weakness, or political convenience. It is borne out of maturity, principle, and fidelity to the Constitution of our party and the laws of our Republic. Leadership must be anchored in legality, not expediency; in order, not confusion; and in legitimacy, not shortcuts.
There is presently a subsisting court injunction issued in Kabwe which remains in full force and effect, restraining the Patriotic Front from undertaking any actions contrary to the orders of the court until such injunction is lawfully discharged, varied, or set aside by a court of competent jurisdiction. In law, a subsisting injunction is binding on all parties and persons with notice thereof, and any conduct undertaken in defiance of that order is null, irregular, and liable to be impugned. No one is above the law, and no political ambition can supersede a valid court order.
Accordingly, any attempt to convene, conduct, or conclude a conference in defiance of that injunction is unconstitutional, unlawful, and of no legal consequence within the Patriotic Front. Let me be very clear: I do not recognise the proposed “No Name” conference as a lawful Patriotic Front conference.
I therefore wish to state, unequivocally and constitutionally, that any person who elects to participate in that illegal conference without lawful authority and outside the framework of the Patriotic Front Constitution will, by that very act, have confirmed their resignation from the Patriotic Front.
Such individuals shall not be eligible to participate in the legitimate Patriotic Front conference to be held after the court process on 27 March 2026, and within the month of March. The Constitution of the Patriotic Front cannot be applied selectively. It must bind all members equally, regardless of rank, influence, or personal preference.
As matters stand today, Hon. Miles Sampa remains the legitimate Acting President of the Patriotic Front, and I respectfully urge him not to associate himself with the proposed unlawful convention. I urge him instead to stand on the side of legality and legitimacy, and to be part of the lawful conference that shall be convened after the court’s determination on 27 March 2026, and within this month.
Should the court process not be concluded in a manner that allows the conference to proceed immediately thereafter, then and only then shall an alternative lawful avenue be communicated through the legitimate structures and channels of the Patriotic Front.
That process, if necessary, will be orderly, constitutional, and binding on all concerned. Let me also make this point without ambiguity: whoever may purport to be elected under the so-called “No Name” conference shall not be recognised as the legitimate President of the Patriotic Front.
Such a process would be devoid of constitutional authority, and its outcome would carry no legitimacy in law, in party governance, or in the eyes of all those who believe in order and justice. By default, all those attending such a conference shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Patriotic Front.
This is not merely a political position but it is a moral and constitutional stand. At moments such as this, true leadership is tested. The easiest path is often the unlawful one. The hardest path is the path of restraint, discipline, and compliance with the law. I have chosen the harder path because it is the right one. Zambia needs leaders who can submit themselves to the Constitution before asking others to do the same.
To all Patriotic Front members across the country, I urge you to remain calm, united, disciplined, and vigilant. Let us not destroy our party by allowing impatience to overrun principle. Let us not trade legitimacy for disorder. Let us not weaken the Patriotic Front by endorsing acts that are plainly irregular and constitutionally defective.
I remain committed to offering mature, lawful, and credible leadership to the Patriotic Front and to the people of Zambia. I remain in the presidential race of the Patriotic Front, and I shall present myself before the legitimate conference after the court determination on 27 March 2026. I have no doubt that the legitimate conference can still be concluded within the month of March.
The people of Zambia are watching. Our members are watching. History is watching. This is the time to demonstrate that we are a party of order, not chaos; of principle, not convenience; of constitutionalism, not opportunism.
MUNDUBILE DETAINED AT TWIN PALM POLICE STATION, AWAITS FORMAL CHARGES
Tonse Alliance president Brian Mundubile has been detained at Twin Palm Police Station in Lusaka, where he spent the night in custody and is expected to be formally charged.
Lawyer Simon Mulenga Mwila said in a statement issued this morning that Mr. Mundubile remained in high spirits despite his detention.
He explained that the opposition leader was awaiting formal arrest and charging by the authorities.
Mr. Mwila added that he had visited the Tonse leader at the police station and was monitoring the situation closely as legal proceedings were expected to commence.
Authorities had not yet issued an official statement regarding the reasons for Mr. Mundubile’s detention by press time.
LEADER of the opposition in Parliament Robert Chabinga has vowed that the Patriotic Front(PF) will not be on the ballot in the August 13 general elections.
There is currently a stalled leadership legal battle on who owns the PF, a former governing party.
Mr Chabinga, the Mafinga PF lawmaker, said he holds the key documentation to the PF ownership and those ‘dreaming’ about seeing it on the ballot should forget.
He said this in Muchinga where President Hakainde Hichilema was meeting UPND officials after commissioning the upgraded Nakonde one stop border post.
“This is Muchinga, ekwaba abantu abashakwata umwenso…As long as I am in charge, PF will never be on the ballot. Ifi ifyakutila abantu balelota, babuka balelota nobufi ati PF ikaba pa ballot, where? Neukwete lugwalo,” he said.
Mr Chabinga openly declared that the PF is in a strong alliance with the UPND.
“We are in Alliance, and this Alliance teyalya ama fake Alliance.
Not those Alliances which split in a week.
“Nomba iyesu Mr President, it’s a real one,” Mr Chibinga said.
He assured PF councillors who wish to join UPND should not be afraid to join because their adoption is assured.
Mr Chabinga says he wants the entire PF in Muchinga to support the UPND ahead of the general elections.
He said Mr Hichilema is worth supporting because he brought free education, managed to restructure debt and re-opened mining companies which were defunct.
“Muchinga Province is 100 percent UPND come August 13,”.
