Shabbat Deception: The Strike That Toppled The Ayatollah – An EPIC RECOUNT

Shabbat Deception: The Strike That Toppled The Ayatollah – An EPIC RECOUNT

The morning sun of February 28, 2026, crept over the jagged skyline of Tehran like a reluctant witness. In the fortified compound near the heart of the city—once thought unbreachable—the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, sat at his heavy oak desk on the upper floor of the overground office wing. Maps of proxy fronts lay spread before him, coffee cooling in a porcelain cup etched with verses from the Quran. Around him, a small circle of loyal generals and advisors murmured in low, confident tones. The weekend had arrived. Shabbat. The Zionists, they believed, would be observing their holy day of rest. No war rooms humming in Tel Aviv. No F-35s slicing the sky. Safety, for once, felt almost tangible.

Khamenei allowed himself the rare luxury of staying topside. The deep bunkers beneath felt like tombs these days—claustrophobic, disconnected from the pulse of command. He had even permitted his closest aides to bring family members into the secure wing for a quiet iftar-like gathering later. A small act of defiance against fear itself.

Far above the Persian Gulf, in the dim blue glow of an Israeli command center that never sleeps, screens flickered with real-time feeds. Hacked traffic cameras on Valiasr Street showed the compound’s gates opening and closing with normal rhythm. SIGINT chatter from compromised IRGC lines carried the fatal phrase: “The Jews are at prayer.” A dry chuckle rippled through the room. Shabbat observance? Yes—observed from leather chairs, fingers hovering over joysticks.

At 08:10 IRST, the first wave broke the dawn.

F-35I Adirs—ghosts painted in matte black—slipped past what remained of Iran’s degraded air defenses like shadows through silk. No warning sirens. No scrambling MiG-29s. The lead aircraft released GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs, laser-guided whispers that corrected mid-flight with surgical calm. The first struck the eastern perimeter wall, collapsing it in a fountain of dust and rebar. The second punched through the reinforced roof directly above the command suite.

Inside, the world became noise and fire.

Khamenei looked up at the exact instant the ceiling bloomed inward. A blinding white flash swallowed the room. Shrapnel scythed through velvet drapes and rosewood paneling. Advisors were thrown like rag dolls; one general’s last reflex was to reach for his pistol, finger never finding the trigger. The Supreme Leader—86 years old, frail yet unbowed—remained seated for one impossible heartbeat, eyes wide with something between recognition and disbelief. Then the secondary blast wave arrived, a hammer of overpressure that shattered every window for three city blocks.

When the smoke finally drifted away, satellite imagery showed only a blackened crater where the office wing had stood. Six bodies were later pulled from the rubble, including the man whose portrait had hung in every government building for 37 years. Iranian state television, voice cracking, would later call it “martyrdom while carrying out his duties.” The footage they refused to air showed twisted metal, scorched prayer rugs, and one lone sandal lying incongruously upright in the ash.

Across Tehran, the city held its breath. In certain neighborhoods—those long starved of hope—people began to whisper, then cheer, then dance in the streets with flags they had hidden for decades. In others, loyalists wept and vowed eternal revenge. Missiles soon arced eastward in retaliation, painting contrails over Jordan and Iraq, but the snake had already lost its head.

In the situation room half a world away, a single quiet voice broke the post-strike silence:

“Target destroyed. Confirm six EKIA. Primary is down.”

A pause.

Then, almost reverently: “Checkmate.”

The long night of one man’s rule had ended—not with thunder from heaven, but with precision from above. And the Middle East, once again, tilted on its axis toward whatever dawn would come next.

Trump Eyeing Delta Force Raids to Finish Iran’s Nuclear Program

Trump Eyeing Delta Force Raids to Finish Iran’s Nuclear Program

The Trump administration is seriously considering sending elite Delta Force operators deep into Iran for high-risk ground raids on buried nuclear facilities, according to a fresh Semafor report.

After last year’s airstrikes that damaged key sites like Natanz and Isfahan, officials say air power alone may not fully eliminate the threat of loose nuclear material, centrifuges, or hidden weaponization efforts. Delta Force has long trained for exactly these “counter-WMD” missions—going in, seizing fissile material, and destroying what air strikes can’t reach.

The plan, developed over years by U.S. Central Command and coordinated with Israeli allies, reflects a no-nonsense approach: deny the mullahs any path to a bomb, even if it means putting America’s finest in harm’s way.

Critics whine about escalation or “another forever war,” but the reality is clear—Iran’s regime has spent decades building an underground nuclear machine while sponsoring terror across the region. Half-measures let them rebuild. President Trump isn’t playing games; he’s preparing the tools to end the threat for good.

If the order comes, Delta Force will execute with precision. Anything less invites disaster. America First means keeping the world’s most dangerous regime from going nuclear—by whatever means necessary.

Iran Reaffirms Military Ties with Russia Amid Escalating Middle East Conflict

BREAKING: Iran Reaffirms Military Ties with Russia Amid Escalating Middle East Conflict

Tehran has declared that military cooperation with Moscow will continue unabated. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated the partnership, longstanding and no secret, persists and is expected to endure despite the ongoing war.

This comes as U.S. intelligence sources report Russia is sharing targeting data on American troops, warships, and aircraft in the region—information that could aid Iranian strikes on U.S. forces. Multiple outlets, including The Washington Post, CNN, and NBC News, cite officials confirming Moscow’s provision of satellite imagery and location details since the conflict intensified.

The two nations formalized deeper ties through a 2025 strategic partnership agreement focused on defense, technology, and countering shared threats—though it includes no mutual defense clause requiring direct intervention.

Russia has publicly urged de-escalation and diplomatic solutions while denying formal aid requests from Iran. Yet reports highlight ongoing exchanges: Iran supplied drones and missiles for Russia’s Ukraine campaign, while Moscow has assisted Tehran’s missile and nuclear efforts over years.

The reaffirmation signals both sides’ intent to sustain their axis against Western pressure, even as the U.S.-Israel operation against Iran enters its second week with no clear end in sight.

TRUMP SENT GHOST BOMBERS 6,000 MILES TO COLLAPSE IRAN’S UNDERGROUND MISSILE CITIES THEY NEVER SAW THEM COMING

President Donald Trump has taken Operation Epic Fury into its most devastating phase yet — and Iran’s buried missile empire is now rubble.

Four B-2 Spirit stealth bombers  invisible to radar  flew 6,000 miles undetected from Missouri, deep into Iranian airspace, and delivered precision bunker-buster bombs directly into Iran’s mountain tunnel networks. Hundreds of feet of reinforced concrete meant nothing.

The bombs penetrated rock, concrete, and steel  detonating INSIDE the tunnels, collapsing storage and launch facilities from within. Assets worth billions, destroyed.

THE RESULTS ARE UNDENIABLE:

➡️ Ballistic missile attacks down 90%
➡️ Drone attacks down 83%
➡️ Key nuclear and command sites severely degraded

The Africa Angle:** Every African nation that imports fuel, sends workers to the Gulf, or trades through the Strait of Hormuz is watching this war reshape global economics in real time. Oil markets, shipping costs, and regional stability — Africa feels every bomb that drops.

This is not just America’s war. This is a global reset and Africa must understand what’s coming next.

Trump Weighs High-Stakes U.S. Special Forces Raid on Iran’s Nuclear Tunnels – Oil Island Seizure Also on Table Amid Escalating Strikes

 Breaking News : Trump Weighs High-Stakes U.S. Special Forces Raid on Iran’s Nuclear Tunnels – Oil Island Seizure Also on Table Amid Escalating Strikes

Washington, D.C. – March 8, 2026 – In a dramatic escalation of the U.S.-Israel campaign against Iran’s nuclear ambitions, President Donald Trump is seriously considering deploying elite U.S. Special Operations forces – including Delta Force – to infiltrate fortified tunnels beneath the Esfahan nuclear facility and extract Iran’s stockpiles of highly enriched uranium (HEU). This “counter-WMD” mission, developed by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) in coordination with Israeli partners, aims to secure fissile material enriched to near-weapons-grade levels enough for multiple nuclear devices – that survived recent airstrikes.

Sources familiar with the deliberations tell Axios, Semafor, NBC News, and The New York Times that the operation would involve a high-risk ground incursion into deeply buried complexes at Esfahan, where satellite imagery reveals recent Iranian reinforcements designed to thwart aerial attacks. Trump himself addressed the possibility aboard Air Force One, stating such a move would only occur “for a very good reason” and potentially “later,” underscoring the gravity of preventing Tehran from salvaging its nuclear program.

Adding to the tension, contingency plans are advancing for U.S. troops – possibly Marines or additional Special Forces – to seize Kharg Island, Iran’s vital oil export hub responsible for up to 90% of its crude shipments. Advocates like former Trump officials Keith Kellogg and Michael Rubin argue this limited action could strangle the regime’s revenue streams, funding proxies and internal repression, without triggering a full-scale invasion.

These developments come as U.S. and Israeli strikes intensify on Iranian targets following 2025 operations, with the IAEA warning of “unaccounted” HEU posing a global threat. No final decisions have been announced, but White House insiders describe the options as “active contingencies” balancing diplomacy and decisive action.

U.S. Military Campaign Against Iran Costs Taxpayers $6 Billion in First Week Alone, Pentagon Tells Congress

Breaking News : U.S. Military Campaign Against Iran Costs Taxpayers $6 Billion in First Week Alone, Pentagon Tells Congress

In a stunning revelation amid the escalating U.S.-Israeli war on Iran (Operation Epic Fury), Pentagon officials have disclosed to Congress that the conflict’s opening week has already cost the United States approximately $6 billion. Of this massive expenditure, roughly $4 billion has gone toward munitions and missile interceptors used to counter Iranian missile and drone barrages while sustaining intense airstrikes.

The figure highlights the extraordinarily high price of defensive systems like Patriot and THAAD interceptors, as well as offensive precision weapons, in the face of Iran’s retaliatory launches. The war, which began on February 28, 2026, has seen thousands of U.S. and Israeli airstrikes targeting Iranian military sites, leadership compounds, and infrastructure, even as Iran expands attacks across the region.

This eye-watering cost equivalent to nearly $857 million per day has prompted expectations of an imminent supplemental funding request from the Trump administration to replenish depleted stocks and sustain operations.

Source: The New York Times (March 7, 2026 article: “In War’s First Week, a Punishing Military Campaign With No Coherent Endgame”) where Pentagon briefings to Congress were directly cited.

The true long-term bill could climb far higher if the conflict drags on, raising urgent questions about fiscal impact, military readiness, and strategic endgame. Stay tuned for updates as the situation develops.

U.S. Moves to Quadruple Production of PAC-3, THAAD and Tomahawk Missiles After Iran War Drains Stockpiles

Breaking News : U.S. Moves to Quadruple Production of PAC-3, THAAD and Tomahawk Missiles After Iran War Drains Stockpiles

The United States is preparing a major surge in missile production after recent combat operations against Iran exposed the heavy consumption of advanced precision weapons and missile defense interceptors. American defense manufacturers have agreed to dramatically expand production of several key systems including PAC-3 Patriot interceptors, THAAD missile defense interceptors, and Tomahawk cruise missiles.

According to reports, the decision follows the large-scale U.S. and allied military campaign against Iranian targets, which rapidly consumed hundreds of high-end munitions in just days. The intense operational tempo highlighted the limited depth of existing stockpiles and prompted Washington to accelerate replenishment efforts.

The production expansion comes after U.S. President Donald Trump held a high-level meeting at the White House with executives from major defense companies including Lockheed Martin, RTX (Raytheon), Boeing, Northrop Grumman, L3Harris, Honeywell Aerospace, and BAE Systems. During the meeting, the administration pushed the defense industry to significantly increase output of critical munitions used in ongoing operations and for global deterrence.

Under the new plan, production of some of the most advanced missile systems will increase up to four times current levels. This includes the PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement interceptor used by the Patriot air defense system, which is designed to destroy incoming ballistic missiles and aircraft. The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system, known as THAAD, will also see major production expansion to strengthen high-altitude ballistic missile interception capabilities.

Long-range strike capacity is also being reinforced with increased production of the Tomahawk cruise missile, the U.S. military’s primary standoff precision strike weapon capable of hitting targets from hundreds of kilometers away while launched from ships or submarines.

Defense officials say the surge in manufacturing reflects the growing demand for advanced munitions in modern warfare. Recent operations in the Middle East demonstrated that high-intensity conflicts can rapidly deplete stocks of precision weapons, forcing the Pentagon to rethink production capacity and supply chain resilience.

The expansion is expected to unfold over several years through long-term contracts with defense contractors. Reports indicate that production of THAAD interceptors could rise dramatically while PAC-3 output may increase from hundreds annually to several thousand over time as new manufacturing lines come online.

The move also comes amid broader concerns within Washington about maintaining readiness for potential conflicts with other major powers while simultaneously supporting ongoing military operations abroad.

Netanyahu Issues Stark Warning to Iran: Surrender or Face Collapse

Netanyahu Issues Stark Warning to Iran: Surrender or Face Collapse

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a direct message in Persian to the Iranian people and IRGC forces, declaring that major surprises await the regime and the moment of truth is near.

In the video address, he urged members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards to lay down their arms and avoid destruction, promising no harm to those who defect while vowing to forge an alliance between a free Iran and Israel once tyranny falls.

The statement comes amid the ongoing U.S.-Israel military campaign that began March 1, 2026, with strikes targeting regime sites across Iran. Netanyahu emphasized that help has arrived for Iranians longing to break free from oppression, calling on citizens—including Persians, Kurds, Azeris, Ahwazis, and Baluchis—to unite, take to the streets in the millions, and finish the job of toppling the Islamic Republic.

This latest appeal builds on Netanyahu’s long-standing strategy of speaking directly to Iranians to undermine the regime, now backed by decisive action on the ground. The message leaves no doubt: the regime’s days are numbered unless its enforcers stand down.

Riyadh made clear it prefers diplomacy to end the current conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. However, continued strikes on the kingdom would leave no choice but to respond forcefully, potentially including opening Saudi bases to U.S. military operations.

This comes amid escalating regional tensions, with recent Iranian drone strikes already forcing temporary shutdowns at key Saudi facilities like the Ras Tanura refinery.

The kingdom is signaling it will defend its sovereignty and vital oil assets without hesitation.

I’VE BEEN THROUGH THE WORST IN PRISON, I’M LEAVING ZAMBIA – MUNIR

FORMER Lumezi Independent MP Munir Zulu says he’s been through the worst in prison, such that he can’t even wish that on President Hakainde Hichilema.

And Zulu says he will be leaving the country in the next few days and will only return after President Hichilema leaves power, even if it takes 20 years.

Yesterday, Zulu was released from Mukobeko Prison where he was jailed for one a year for libel.

In an interview, Saturday, Zulu said the torture that he went through was inhuman, abut that he had forgiven them because he was not bitter.

“We are out, where the sentence ended in December, we went to court as to why we were kept longer than necessary for an…

MUNIR ZULU ELIGIBLE TO CONTEST AUGUST ELECTIONS – LEGAL SCHOLAR

MUNIR ZULU ELIGIBLE TO CONTEST AUGUST ELECTIONS – LEGAL SCHOLAR

…says once a sentence below three years is served, civic rights are restored

A legal scholar has stated that former Lumezi Member of Parliament Hon. Munir Zulu remains eligible to contest the forthcoming general elections despite having served a prison sentence.

In an analysis of the constitutional provisions, Musterd Phiri said the law clearly allows Zulu to stand for public office again.

Mr. Phiri explained that the eligibility question had sparked public debate following Zulu’s release from prison.

“The Constitution provides a clear answer – yes, he can,” Mr. Phiri said.

He cited Article 70(2)(f) of the Constitution of Zambia (Amendment Act No. 2 of 2016), which disqualifies individuals from contesting parliamentary elections only if they have been sentenced to imprisonment for three years or more.

“Article 70(2)(f) disqualifies a person from being elected as a Member of Parliament if they have been convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for a period of at least three years,” he said.

According to Mr. Phiri, Zulu’s sentence was below the constitutional threshold.

“Zulu’s sentence was less than three years. Having served his time, he does not fall within the constitutional bar,” he said.

Mr. Phiri added that once a sentence below three years has been served, the law restores the individual’s political rights.

“The law restores his political rights, leaving the ultimate decision to the electorate,” he said.

He further noted that Zambia had previously witnessed politicians return to active politics after serving shorter sentences.

Mr. Phiri pointed to the case of Chishimba Kambwili, who served a five-month sentence and later resumed political activities.

“Chishimba Kambwili was sentenced to five months imprisonment for hate speech. After serving his sentence, he resumed active political participation,” Mr. Phiri said.

He emphasized that the Constitution sets clear legal standards rather than moral judgments regarding eligibility for public office.

“The Constitution sets objective standards, not moral judgments,” he said.

“Once a sentence below three years is served, civic rights are restored.”

Mr. Phiri added that in a democratic system, voters ultimately determine whether to elect a candidate.

“The ballot box, not the courtroom, will determine his future,” he said.

Mr. Phiri asserted that the law was clear on the matter.

“In the end, the law has spoken, eligibility is intact, and democracy will decide,” he said.

KAMPYONGO CAUTIONS UPND AGAINST OVERRATING SUPPORT ON THE COPPERBELT AHEAD OF ELECTIONS

By Chamuka Shalubala

Shiwang’andu Member of Parliament Stephen Kampyongo, says the UPND should not be deceived about its popularity especially on the Copperbelt province as the country prepares for this year’s polls.

Mr. Kampyongo told Phoenix News in an interview that the thunderous support received by President Hakainde Hichilema when he recently met with students on the Copperbelt should not be mistaken for genuine political support.

Mr. Kampyongo notes that political excitement during public appearances does not necessarily translate into votes.

He has urged the ruling party to remain cautious and not misinterpret the reactions of crowds as a true reflection of the political mood on the Copperbelt ahead of the August 13 polls.

POLITICAL FIGURES OFTEN CONTEST OUTSIDE THEIR HOME AREAS, JERE OBSERVES

POLITICAL FIGURES OFTEN CONTEST OUTSIDE THEIR HOME AREAS, JERE OBSERVES

Prominent lawyer and journalist Dickson Jere has reflected on Zambia’s political history, noting that it is not unusual for politicians to contest parliamentary seats outside their home constituencies.

In a brief commentary, Jere pointed out that several notable political figures in the country had, at different times, represented constituencies away from their places of origin.

He cited the late former president Michael Sata as one example, noting that Sata once moved from Kabwata Constituency to Mpika Central, his home area.

Jere also referenced former Munali Member of Parliament Ronald Penza, who he said left Munali Constituency to contest in Mbala, his home district.

Jere further observed that former minister Nkandu Luo moved from Mandevu Constituency to Munali within Lusaka, while former vice president Guy Scott relocated from Mpika Central to Lusaka Central.

He added that former finance minister Edith Nawakwi also left her home area of Nakonde to contest the Munali Constituency seat in Lusaka

Jere also mentioned former defence minister Ben Mwila, who moved from Luanshya Constituency to Nchelenge in Luapula Province, and former vice president Enoch Kavindele, who shifted from Chingola to Kabompo, his home district.

According to Jere, these examples illustrate a longstanding trend in Zambia’s politics where politicians have not always remained in one constituency throughout their careers.

“I have even forgotten what I am supposed to say…I will come back when I remember,” Mr. Jere remarked.

ZAF SHOULD FOCUS ON DRONES, AIRSPACE SECURITY, NOT MEALIE-MEAL – NJOBVU

ZAF SHOULD FOCUS ON DRONES, AIRSPACE SECURITY, NOT MEALIE-MEAL – NJOBVU

Democratic Union (DU) President and former Zambia Air Force soldier Ackim Antony Njobvu says Zambia appears to have lost its strategic direction, questioning the decision by the Zambia Air Force (ZAF) to venture into mealie-meal production.

Mr. Njobvu said the Air Force should be focusing on innovation, technology and national security rather than engaging in activities outside its core mandate.

“As a country, we seem to have lost our strategic posture and direction. Our leaders don’t seem to understand where we need to go,” Mr. Njobvu said.

He questioned the logic behind the Air Force producing mealie-meal, arguing that the institution should instead be leading in technological development such as drone production.

“What is the Air Force doing in the business of making mealie-meal? I now understand why America is saying we give you aid and you give us minerals,” he said.

Mr. Njobvu emphasized that the Zambia Air Force should be at the forefront of developing drones that can be used in agriculture, health services and national surveillance.

He added that Zambia’s airspace must be effectively protected, particularly at a time when the movement of the country’s mineral resources requires stronger aerial monitoring.

“The Air Force is supposed to be leading in making drones for use in agriculture and health and protecting our airspace. Our mineral movements have to be monitored from the air, but we are using the Air Force to go into mealie-meal? Really?” he said.

Mr. Njobvu further called for leadership renewal in the country, urging young people to step forward and help reposition Zambia for progress.

“Zambians, I repeat, we need new leadership in this country. Young minds have to help this country. The country’s ability to generate ideas and progress has plateaued,” he said.

He warned that Zambia risks wasting knowledge and human potential if institutions continue drifting away from their strategic roles.

A President Who Charmed a Nation

Gregory Chifire writes ✍️🔽
A President Who Charmed a Nation

Hakainde Hichilema is a President who charmed a nation not through flattery or empty rhetoric, but through practical works and decisive leadership. He is a man many of his competitors once wrote off politically. Yet, as the Biblical saying goes, “the stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.”

Unlike many politicians who seek popularity through appeasement, President Hichilema chose a different path. He made extremely difficult decisions, often at the expense of his personal popularity and that of his government and party in order to steer Zambia back onto a sustainable economic and social path. His leadership has been marked by a commitment to fiscal discipline and prudent management of public resources.

When Hakainde Hichilema assumed office, Zambia’s economy was on its knees. The national debt had reached unsustainable levels, choking the country’s fiscal space, while discipline in the civil service had significantly deteriorated.

One of his first major assignments was to negotiate debt restructuring with international creditors. This task was successfully accomplished, though it came with strict conditions. Some of these conditions required the government to limit expenditure and restrict employment in the public service to critical sectors such as health and education.

With the debt restructuring framework now in place, Zambia has regained credibility in international financial markets. This lays a foundation for future economic growth and job creation across various sectors of the economy.

For many years prior, Zambia’s economic survival had been sustained largely through excessive borrowing. Much of this borrowing financed projects of political appeasement, while some resources were distributed to citizens in ways that created the illusion of economic liquidity. President Hichilema made the bold decision to halt this unsustainable practice.

Instead, he chose the path of long-term economic stability over short-term political comfort.

Many of the decisions he has made may not yet be fully appreciated by the ordinary citizen in the present. They are not designed for immediate gratification. Rather, they are structural reforms intended to place Zambia in a strong and sustainable position for economic expansion in the coming years.

At the beginning of his tenure, President Hichilema also faced a major energy crisis. Zambia was struck by a severe drought that drastically reduced hydroelectric power generation, upon which the country has historically depended.

The options available to government were extremely limited. Zambia could not easily import electricity because it owed Independent Power Producers approximately $3.5 billion, both locally and internationally. Mamba Collieries, one of the largest local power producers, was owed more than $400 million, making it difficult for the company to operate effectively.

Meanwhile, ZESCO, the national power utility, was itself on the brink of collapse.

To survive, ZESCO had to carefully ration the limited electricity available between domestic consumption and minimal exports. This strategy was necessary because electricity sold to domestic consumers is heavily subsidized and often results in losses. Exporting some power was essential to sustain operations and finance domestic supply.

However, through fiscal discipline and restructuring efforts, ZESCO’s debt has now significantly reduced, from billions to approximately $100 million. This improved financial position has enabled ZESCO to begin importing electricity again to stabilize supply.

More importantly, the government has embarked on a long-term strategy to diversify Zambia’s energy sources. Through ZESCO, other state institutions, and private sector partnerships, Zambia has invested heavily in solar, thermal, and other alternative energy projects. Many of these projects are expected to be connected to the national grid by the end of the year, which will significantly ease the energy deficit.

The power crisis inevitably hurt the economy. Many small businesses, barbershops, salons, welders, and other micro-enterprises were severely affected by load shedding. The frustration of the ordinary citizen was understandable, and in many cases it was directed toward government.

But the reality is that Zambia spent many years rebuilding a battered economy. The last four years have been among the most difficult periods in the country’s economic history, as the nation transitioned away from a model of borrowing for consumption toward a model of productive investment and fiscal responsibility.

Despite these challenges, several major social and economic milestones have been achieved.

Today, Zambia has implemented free education from early childhood through secondary school up to tertiary level, significantly increasing access to education. The government has also introduced the school feeding programme, ensuring that millions of children receive meals at school, an intervention that improves attendance, health, and academic performance.

In addition, the Social Cash Transfer Programme has been expanded to support vulnerable households across the country.

The country’s strategic national food reserves have also grown significantly under the current administration. Zambia now holds record maize reserves, strengthening national food security and ensuring stability during difficult agricultural seasons.

Government schools now receive direct funding, enabling them to manage their operations more effectively. For the first time in many years, many schools have sufficient resources to run their affairs and support learners.

These reforms may not produce instant applause, but they are laying the foundation for long-term national prosperity.

Zambia may not have fully arrived at its destination yet. But the country is undoubtedly on the right track.

A few years ago, few people would have imagined a Zambia where every child could access free education, where school feeding programmes reach millions of learners, and where fiscal discipline is restoring confidence in the country’s economy.

President Hakainde Hichilema’s leadership demonstrates that sometimes true statesmanship requires choosing the difficult path today in order to secure a better tomorrow.

WE VALUE THE IMMENSE CONTRIBUTION OF WOMEN IN NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT  – KALABA

… Our vision is a Zambia where every woman and girl can live with dignity, opportunity, and equal access to leadership and economic empowerment.

LUSAKA, SUNDAY, MARCH, 08, 2026 [SMART EAGLES]

CITIZENS First President Harry Kalaba says his party values the immense contribution of women in all spheres of life and national development.

In a statement seen by Smart Eagles, Mr. Kalaba said  CF’s vision is a Zambia where every woman and girl can live with dignity, opportunity, and equal access to leadership and economic empowerment.

Mr. Kalaba reaffirmed the party’s commitment to continue advocating for policies and initiatives that confront persistent inequalities affecting women which include the gender pay gap, limited representation in leadership and decision-making positions, sextortion, and the continued scourge of gender-based violence (GBV).

“On this International Women’s Day, I call upon government, civil society, political parties, and the private sector to renew their commitment to protecting women’s rights and creating an environment where women can thrive without discrimination or fear. To all the women of Zambia, we celebrate you today and every day. Your courage, hard work, and sacrifices are the foundation upon which our nation stands,” Mr. Kalaba said.

“From the colonial days, through the struggle for independence, and into the post-independence era, women have played a crucial and undeniable role in the development of our nation. Our mothers, daughters, sisters, and grandmothers have stood at the forefront of community building, economic productivity, and national transformation. Their resilience, leadership, and commitment continue to shape the destiny of our country,” he said.

And Mr. Kalaba said Citizens First  remains firmly committed to advancing gender equality and ensuring that women are fully empowered to participate in every sphere of national life.

ADOPT MORE WOMEN CANDIDATES NOW – TONSE ALLIANCE

Lusaka – Sunday, 8 March 2026.

Today we commemorate Women’s Day under the theme “Rights, Justice, Action for All Women and Girls.” This theme is not symbolic. It is a call to protect and advance the rights of women and girls in every sphere of society. Women must enjoy equal opportunities and live free from violence, discrimination and exploitation.

As Zambia approaches the August 13 General Elections, this day must also remind our leaders and citizens of the need to uphold peace and ensure that 2026 is free from violence. Women must not face discrimination or intimidation in politics. Their participation is essential to the growth, stability and development of our nation.

We must also advocate for more women to be adopted by political parties so that the Zambia can move towards meeting 50% women representation in key decison making positions in line with regional documents we have signed to such as SADC protocol on Gender and Development. The current status of less than 15% women representation in parliament which has declined since 2021 is not giving hope that Zambia will manage to attain parity in representation by 2030. More needs to be done.

Access to justice remains critical for women and girls to fully exercise their rights. I encourage all women to participate in the activities organized in their districts to mark this important day.

However, we must also confront the realities women face today. Gender-based violence remains a serious threat and online abuse against women is on the rise. These harmful acts undermine the progress being made toward gender equality and must be strongly condemned.

We must stand up, speak out and act to defend the rights, dignity and safety of all women and girls. A just society is one where women can live safely, participate freely and contribute equally.

Happy Women’s Day to all the queens.

“DYNASTY BID? MNANGAGWA FACES NEW OUTCRY AS ‘MUNHUMUTAPA’ BRANDING SPARKS FEARS OF FAMILY RULE”

“DYNASTY BID? MNANGAGWA FACES NEW OUTCRY AS ‘MUNHUMUTAPA’ BRANDING SPARKS FEARS OF FAMILY RULE”

The rabbit is finally out of the hat. What critics long suspected is now unfolding in plain sight. Vehicles that once carried the ruling party’s ZANU-PF insignia are reportedly being rebranded with the image of President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the bold slogan “Munhumutapa Dynasty.”

Observers say the message is unmistakable: a carefully crafted attempt to wrap modern political power in the symbolism of Zimbabwe’s historic Mutapa Empire. But critics warn the branding risks signalling something far more controversial, the normalization of family-centred rule in a nation founded as a republic.

At the same time, lawmakers are pushing forward Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 of 2026, a proposal opponents say could weaken constitutional safeguards and concentrate power further in the executive.

For many Zimbabweans, the stakes go beyond party politics. The country fought a bitter liberation struggle to establish a democratic republic not a hereditary system of leadership.

Civil society groups, students, churches, and voices in the diaspora are now calling for vigilance, insisting that Zimbabwe’s Constitution must remain the ultimate safeguard against personal rule. 🇿🇼

British Adult Film Star Bonnie Blue Tests DNA Of 400 Men She Shot With In Mexico To Know Her Baby’s Father.

26-year-old British Adult film star, Bonnie Blue, has revealed she is now testing the DNA samples of the 400 men she recorded with to know who she is pregnant with.Movies

Bonnie recently disclosed that she would be hosting a huge number of men at a coded location to film with them.

They were all tested to know how clean their system was, and provided DNA samples beforehand.

This event happened in Mexico, according to different sources.

Weeks after the filming, Bonnie Blue came out to tell the public that she is pregnant but can’t identify the father of her baby, so now she is testing all the 400 DNA samples to the the father of her unborn child.

Most people did not expect this to happen because they all knew this was just a one-time thing, but unfortunately, a baby will come out of it, and how it was conceived is quite awkward.

Before the start of this crazy, bad marathon, Blue shared condoms with everyone she filmed with, so how she came out to tell the public about her pregnancy has confused many.

President Cyril Ramaphosa Begins Official State Visit to Brazil Following Invitation From President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva

 President Cyril Ramaphosa Begins Official State Visit to Brazil Following Invitation From President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva

His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa is undertaking an official state visit to the Federative Republic of Brazil from 9–10 March 2026, following an invitation from His Excellency President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

The visit forms part of South Africa’s ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic, economic and political relations with Brazil, one of the country’s key strategic partners within the BRICS alliance and the Global South.

During the visit, President Ramaphosa is expected to hold high-level bilateral talks with President Lula and other senior Brazilian officials. Discussions are likely to focus on expanding cooperation in several important areas, including trade, investment, agriculture, energy, science and technology, and industrial development.

South Africa and Brazil have long maintained strong diplomatic ties, with both nations playing influential roles in international platforms such as BRICS, the G20, and multilateral development initiatives aimed at promoting economic growth and cooperation among developing countries.

The state visit is also expected to explore ways to increase trade between the two nations, encourage business partnerships, and strengthen collaboration on global issues such as climate change, food security, and economic reform within international institutions.

Officials say the engagement between the two leaders reflects a shared commitment to deepening South–South cooperation and advancing the interests of emerging economies on the global stage.

President Ramaphosa’s visit comes at a time when both South Africa and Brazil are seeking to expand strategic partnerships and reinforce their roles as influential voices within the developing world.

DAVID & GOLIATH: WHY THE U.S. COULD BE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE IN THE MIDDLE EAST

DAVID & GOLIATH: WHY THE U.S. COULD BE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE IN THE MIDDLE EAST

The problem with constantly touting yourself as the “biggest, strongest, most advanced” fighting force on earth is that you’re automatically Goliath in any confrontation you get into.

Sure, you’ll notch a bunch of easy victories over inferior adversaries as you’re running around trampling the countryside…and those easy victories might start giving you a false sense of confidence that maybe you’re invincible. That’s because you weren’t considering any Davids out there.

At some point, your 10-foot spear, 100-pound shield, and arrow-proof armor is gonna come up against a cheap-ass homemade slingshot and some river stones it was never built to deal with and has no idea how to handle.

If you’ve been watching U.S. state TV, you’ve seen the propaganda: America’s VASTLY SUPERIOR interceptor missiles are knocking down Iranian missiles and drones left and right. According to reports, something like 92% of Iranian drones and missiles have been intercepted.

THE CURRENT U.S. ARSENAL

U.S. Central Command estimates that Iran has fired 500 ballistic missiles and more than 2,000 drones since the war started a week ago (40% targeting Israel, 60% targeting the U.S.)

According to Military Times, the U.S. employs three different missile interceptor systems: the Patriot missile defense system, Aegis Combat System (SM-3/SM-6) and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-ballistic missile systems.

As of Dec 2025, the U.S. had 414 SM-3s, ~1,500 SM-6s, 534 THAADs, and around 1,200 Patriots (a July report said the U.S. only had 25% of the Patriots the Pentagon needed for its plans).

The U.S. only produces 500-700 Patriot missiles annually at a cost of $4 million each. And typical usage is to fire two interceptors per incoming target, meaning every single interception attempt is an $8-million affair.

$8 million to take down a $20,000 drone.

THAAD rockets are even more expensive at $13-15.5 million each. They’re built by Lockheed Martin, who only produce around 96 a year (though Lockheed just got a contract to ramp up production to 400 a year).

Finally, the Aegis Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) costs a whopping $28 million a piece, though a “cheaper” option—the SM-6 is available in the $9-$10 mil range. Only a dozen SM-3 are produced a year. Production on the SM-6s are ramping up to 500 annually.

I know that’s a bunch of nitty-gritty boring detail, but the gist is this: the U.S. currently has somewhere in the ballpark of 3,600 interceptor missiles — 2,700 intended for slow moving drones, 900 for high speed ballistic missiles.

HERE’S WHY THAT’S A HUGE PROBLEM

Following the Israel-Iran 12-Day War (that’s when we bombed Iran’s three nuclear facilities), Israel estimated that Iran had 1,500 missiles and 200 launchers remaining. As of March 1, Iran had added another 1,000 missiles to their stockpile. And so far, that’s what U.S. and Israeli strikes have been targeting.

During the 12-Day War, the U.S. used between 100-150 THAADs, 80 SM-3s, and an unknown number of Patriots. If the U.S. uses interceptors at the same rate in this war, we’ll burn through half our interceptors in 4-5 weeks. And if the war drags out until September like the White House and Pentagon are suggesting it might, we’d hypothetically deplete our entire interceptor stockpile. (I say “hypothetically” because the U.S. military would switch strategies and transition away from trying to intercept anything if we ever got that low.)

ENTER THE SLINGSHOT

When people hear “drone,” they tend to think those handheld models with spinning copter blades people use for photography. The Shahed drone looks like a mini jet with an 8-foot wingspan. It has a range of 1,550 miles (2,500km), a top speed of 115 mph (185 kph), and packs a 66-110 lb warhead.

Rather than being operated by remote control, it has a pre-programmed flight path to a set target using a satellite navigation system. Because of its slim profile and ability to fly at low altitude, it’s hard to detect by radar or early warning systems.

These are the little buggers Russia is using to make a mess in Ukraine.

And here’s the ugly truth Trump and Hegseth can’t bring themselves to acknowledge: Iran reportedly has 80 THOUSAND of these stockpiled in underground bunkers all over the country. Unlike missiles, they’re easily transported and can be launched undetected from the back of a pickup truck.

Compared to America’s interceptors, they’re COMICALLY CHEAP to make—between $20k-$50k each. And they can be built incredibly fast (Russia’s been producing 4,000-5,000 per month).

So the big fear is that Iran could “unleash drone hell” any time it wants to…and there’s not a whole lot the U.S. military could do about it. At the 2-to-1 interceptor rate America employs, Iran could theoretically deplete the entire U.S. interceptor stockpile with a little over 7,000 attacks.

That would leave them a measly 72,000 more drones in reserve.

IF they didn’t produce any more.

(For the math nerds out there, it would cost Iran $360 million to replace the drones it would take to deplete America’s entire interceptor stockpile. It would cost America $39.5 Billion to replace those interceptors.)

And THAT is probably the best explanation as to why Trump launched a war and then almost immediately demanded a ceasefire, to which Iran said “f*ck directly off!”

For context as to just how much asymmetrical damage these drones can do, one of Iran’s $30k attack drones took out Qatar’s $1.1 billion ballistic missile tracking system.

These little “gnats” have struck the U.S. 5th fleet in Bahrain, the U.S. embassies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, and the fatal strike on a U.S. Army camp in Kuwait. And they’re continuing to ignite oil fields, ports, and tankers throughout the region.

Slingshots.

Wiping out $BILLIONS in munitions, energy, and infrastructure.

And Iran appears content to bide its time until we eventually run out of means to intercept their attacks.

That’s why the toughest guy in the room is usually the one who keeps his mouth shut, not the guy going around telling everyone how tough he is.

Nobody roots for Goliath.

And nobody goes around claiming to BE Goliath…unless they’re unfamiliar with how the story ends.

INDONESIA SAYS ITS REVIEWING THE BOARD OF PEACE SEAT FOLLOWING IRAN WAR LAUNCHED BY AMERICA WHO SHOULD CHAIR THE PEACE CONVERSATION.

Following the recent report that Israel and the US launch strikes on Iran as President Donald Trump announces ‘major combat operations in Iran despite the ongoing indirect negotiations between Washington and Tehran in an effort to ensure that Iran did not obtained a nuclear weapon, Indonesia has suspended all discussions on the Board of Peace initiative launched by US President Donald Trump, citing the escalating military conflict in the Middle East as a direct factor

According to a report made available to CIC Asia Desk English on Saturday, 7 March, 2026, the Foreign Minister of Indonesia, Sugiono announced that Indonesia has suspended all discussions on the Board of Peace initiative launched by US President Donald Trump, explaining that international attention has shifted toward the consequences of the war involving Iran.

He also underscored that escalation had directly affected the foreign policy priorities of countries involved in the initiative, noting that international attention had shifted toward the consequences of the conflict involving Iran.

The Foreign Minister also added that Indonesia would carry out intensive consultations with partners in the Gulf region, suggesting that the Indonesian Government is not withdrawing from regional engagement, but rather recalibrating its approach to focus on the immediate crisis caused by the very country that is supposed to be chairing on peace.

It was gathered that the decision of the Government of Indonesia through its Foreign Minister to suspend participation comes as the US-Israeli campaign against the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran under the leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei that has killed over 1,000 people, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and dozens of school girls.

Meanwhile, Iranian retaliatory strikes have targeted US bases across the Gulf, especially in the Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar among other countries in the Middle East.

Iranian Exiles in Vancouver Cheer Trump and Netanyahu: “Thank You” for Striking the Regime

Iranian Exiles in Vancouver Cheer Trump and Netanyahu: “Thank You” for Striking the Regime

On March 7, 2026, hundreds of Iranian monarchists rallied in Vancouver to celebrate decisive U.S.-Israel airstrikes that devastated Iran’s nuclear facilities and top leadership. Waving pre-1979 lion-and-sun flags, the crowd chanted “Thank you Trump! Thank you Bibi!” in gratitude for actions that weakened the oppressive Islamic Republic.

The demonstration honored martyrs from past protests and voiced strong support for Reza Pahlavi to lead a transitional government toward restoring freedom and dignity. Similar joyous scenes unfolded in Houston, Los Angeles, Toronto, and other diaspora hubs, where exiles hailed the strikes as a long-overdue blow against decades of tyranny, terror funding, and threats to the West.

For millions who fled the mullahs’ rule, this marks a turning point. The Iranian people deserve better than radical theocracy—America and Israel delivered real hope for regime change and a brighter future. Javid Shah.

Iranian Exiles Crush Pro-Regime Rally in London, Cheer Khamenei’s Demise

On March 7, 2026, central London witnessed a powerful display of resistance as tens of thousands of Iranian patriots in exile overwhelmed a much smaller pro-IRGC demonstration. Waving pre-revolutionary Lion and Sun flags alongside American and Israeli ones, the crowd celebrated the recent U.S.-Israeli strikes that eliminated Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the architect of 47 years of brutal theocratic oppression.

Chants of freedom and gratitude toward President Trump and Israel rang out as the exiles turned the streets into a victory party. The regime loyalists, outnumbered and outmatched, were forced to scatter under the weight of raw popular rejection. Police kept physical clashes minimal, but the message was unmistakable: the Iranian people—both inside and outside the country—reject Islamist tyranny.

This wasn’t mere protest; it was a rejection of radical ideology on Western soil. The diaspora that fled persecution showed up in force, proving that courage and resolve can still push back against oppression. The left, the Islamists, and their apologists are losing ground. Freedom is winning.

Israeli Air Force Commander Leads From the Front in Iran Strike

Israeli Air Force Commander Leads From the Front in Iran Strike

On March 7, 2026, Israeli Air Force chief Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar personally piloted an F-15 strike mission over Iran, removing his major general insignia beforehand to fly alongside his men without the visible markers of rank.

Sources close to Bar said the move was deliberate: he wanted to set a clear example of offensive leadership, sharing the same risks he asks of his pilots. Before takeoff he went down to the flight line, spoke directly with technicians, and talked with the crews preparing the jets

This stands in sharp contrast to reports of IRGC commanders directing from underground bunkers. In wartime, real leaders step into the cockpit, not hide in tunnels

Bar’s action reinforces a long Israeli military tradition of commanders who fight with their troops, boosting morale and proving the IAF means business in the escalating campaign against Iran’s nuclear and missile programs.

Russia Declares It Stands with Iran in Escalating Middle East Conflict – “We Are Not Neutral”

Breaking News : Russia Declares It Stands with Iran in Escalating Middle East Conflict – “We Are Not Neutral” 🇷🇺🇮🇷

LONDON, March 8, 2026 – In a stunning revelation amid the intensifying “Iran War,” Russia’s Ambassador to the UK, Andrei Kelin, has openly stated that Moscow is not neutral and remains sympathetic and supportive to Iran against what he calls “unfair” aggression from Israel and the United States.

In an exclusive interview with Sky News aired today, Ambassador Kelin pulled no punches: “We are not neutral… We are supportive to Iran, of course.” He slammed the military strikes on Tehran as unjust, insisting that “no one is saying that the United States and Israel started an attack against Iran.

And Iran is only responding to this attack.” Kelin urged an immediate ceasefire through urgent negotiations, warning that the conflict risks dragging the region and the world into deeper chaos.

This bold stance from Russia could reshape alliances in the volatile Middle East, signaling a potential escalation in global tensions as Tehran faces mounting pressure. With U.S. and Israeli forces intensifying operations, Moscow’s vocal backing raises fears of a broader proxy war.

LAZY LOVERS! MALE KOALAS SLEEP 22 HOURS AND LET THE LADIES COME TO THEM

🐨 LAZY LOVERS! MALE KOALAS SLEEP 22 HOURS AND LET THE LADIES COME TO THEM

Male koalas are living proof that sometimes love takes zero effort. These marsupials are among the laziest animals on the planet, snoozing up to 22 hours a day.

When it comes to romance, they take their slothful lifestyle to the extreme no roaming, no chasing. Instead, the males simply bellow loud mating calls from the safety of their tree homes, letting the females do all the traveling.

Experts say this energy-saving strategy helps koalas survive on their low-nutrition eucalyptus diet, proving that in the animal kingdom, sometimes a little laziness goes a long way especially in matters of the heart.

COUNCIL OF ELDERS CONFERENCE PRODUCES ITS “BEST PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE” KAPEMBWA SIMBAO

Former aide to President Kenneth Kaunda, Mr. Muhabi Lungu and Ambassador George Chulumanda, both from the Zambia We Want Party, delivered a victory for their party President, Mr. Kapembwa Simbao as the best candidate at the highly anticipated Council of Elders conference.

Simbao emerged winner in a process supported by former University of Zambia lecturer Dr. Neo Simutanyi, former Zesco Board Chairman Derrick Mbita Chitala and Prince Akashambatwa Mbikusita Lewanika.

Other promising political leaders who were invited to be part of the conference, turned down the invitation.

Citizens First President Harry Kalaba had requested the organisers to avail a comprehensive list of delegates, rules that would govern the election of a flag bearer, confirmation and participation of the Electoral Commission .

However, conference conveners failed to honour the request.

Others had expressed concern with the alleged lack of corporate governance where participating candidates were required to deposit application fees in a personal account for the Zambia We Want official.

The unassuming Simbao, who was previously not regarded as one of the most visible frontrunners in the August 13 elections, beat Lusaka Lawyer and former UKA Chairperson, Sakwiba Sikota and other candidates.

See the results below:

Yusuf Dodia 25
Sakwiba Sikota 28
Chishala Kateka 32
Trevor Mwamba 45
Kapembwa simbao 47
Brian Mushimba 49

There being no one with 50+1, voting went into a run off between the top two candidates where Simbao got 65 percent of the vote to be declared winner.

CHISANGA EXPOSES THE SECRET PROJECT: HOW MUNDUBILE WAS FRONTED SINCE 2022

CHISANGA EXPOSES THE SECRET PROJECT: HOW MUNDUBILE WAS FRONTED SINCE 2022

By Bwembya Mwaume

The internal contradictions within the Patriotic Front have now been laid bare, not by political opponents, but by one of its own senior legal minds, George Chisanga. In a revealing radio interview, Chisanga unintentionally opened the lid on a project that many party members suspected but could never prove: that a group within the PF had been quietly fronting Brian Mundubile for leadership as far back as 2022.

What makes this revelation even more startling is that Chisanga openly admitted that he and lawyer Makebi Zulu had been “speaking the same language” and supporting Mundubile from the very beginning of that project. According to Chisanga, the two of them actively supported and promoted Mundubile’s leadership ambitions within the party.

This statement alone raises serious questions for the party structures and grassroots members who believed that the PF remained united behind former President Edgar Chagwa Lungu and his political direction. If senior figures were already planning alternative leadership arrangements as far back as 2022, then many within the party may begin to question whether the loyalty that was publicly proclaimed was genuine or merely political convenience.

The contradiction became even more glaring when Makebi Zulu recently referred to Brian Mundubile as a “prodigal son” who should return home. Chisanga strongly rejected this characterization, describing the remark as unfortunate. His reasoning was simple: how can someone who was jointly supported and fronted as a leadership project suddenly be described as a prodigal son?

Chisanga further revealed that Mundubile has been consulting him extensively and that he has been providing legal guidance on the direction of the opposition movement. In fact, he described himself as one of Mundubile’s key consultants, explaining that Mundubile has been engaging many political figures locally and internationally while building momentum within the Tonse Alliance.

However, the bigger question that now confronts members of the Patriotic Front is simple but profound: who truly supported Edgar Chagwa Lungu at heart?

Was it Brian Mundubile?

Was it George Chisanga?

Was it Makebi Zulu?

Or was it Given Lubinda?

From what has now been revealed, many within the party are beginning to conclude that Edgar Lungu’s confidence rested heavily on Given Lubinda. His loyalty and consistency appear to have earned him the trust of the former president. That may explain why today Lubinda seems not to enjoy the support of some senior members of the party.

For some observers, the resistance against Lubinda may actually reflect a deeper struggle that began as early as 2022. If certain leaders were already advancing alternative leadership projects while Lungu’s influence was still central in the party, then it suggests that the conflict within the PF has been brewing for much longer than many realized.

Ironically, the same people who loudly promoted the slogan “Alebwelepo Pamupando”, a rallying call suggesting that Edgar Lungu would return to leadership, may now face scrutiny over whether that message was truly sincere. For many party members, the question now is whether that slogan represented genuine loyalty or merely a political strategy.

In many ways, the current situation illustrates a painful reality in politics: sometimes the passing or absence of a powerful leader creates opportunities for others who were once close to that leader. Those who appeared most loyal in public may, behind the scenes, have been pursuing entirely different ambitions.

During the radio program, Chisanga also indicated that there were matters he could not fully disclose because of the nature of the broadcast. That statement alone suggests that there may still be more untold details about the internal dynamics surrounding Edgar Lungu, not only within the Patriotic Front but perhaps even in the broader political environment that includes the ruling administration under Hakainde Hichilema.

What was particularly noticeable during the discussion was Chisanga’s visible frustration with Makebi Zulu. His tone suggested deep disappointment, almost as though he felt that a previous understanding had been abandoned. From his perspective, if they had all agreed to support Mundubile as early as 2022, then Makebi Zulu’s decision to enter the presidential contest could easily be interpreted as a reversal of that earlier commitment.

That is why the remark describing Mundubile as a “prodigal son” appeared to trigger such a strong reaction. To Chisanga, it sounded less like political commentary and more like betrayal of a plan that had been agreed upon among colleagues.

For the grassroots members of the Patriotic Front, these revelations could serve as an important moment of reflection. If the party is to regain strength and credibility, many believe it must return to the values of loyalty, transparency, and unity that once defined it.

Some party members now argue that if the PF hopes to rebuild and compete effectively again, it may need to rally behind Given Lubinda at the upcoming convention, viewing him as someone who remained consistent and loyal during difficult times.

Ultimately, history will judge who truly stood with Edgar Chagwa Lungu and who merely appeared to do so. For now, however, one thing is clear: the interview by George Chisanga has opened a political conversation that the Patriotic Front can no longer avoid.

Release Lillian Siyuni’s Car- Amb. Emmanuel Mwamba

By Amb. Emmanuel Mwamba

Release Lillian Siyuni’s Car

Mrs.Lillian Fulata Shawa-Siyunyi SC is a distinguished lawyer and served as Zambia’s first female Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) from 2016 until her (illegal) removal in 2022.

Lillian and her family are currently in deep mourning over the demise of her brother, Cephas Maluba Shawa.(MHSRIEP).

However, there is a small but important matter we must all resolve.

Her vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser (registration BAF 9051) was impounded in Mongu district in February 2026 because the Police say she has not changed ownership of the vehicle from Ministry of Works &Supply (custodians of government property) to herself.

Now, anyone who has worked in Government and held a senior position such as a constitutional office or served as Permanent Secretary, and the vehicle comes as personal-to-holder, know very well that the change of ownership has so much bureacracy that many former officials sometimes drive the vehicles bearing the GRZ number plate and for those from foreign service, the foreign number plates, and the White Book remains registered under Government.

Many only choose to finally change the ownership status of the vehicle when they decide to dispose off the vehicle.

Offcourse this is not an excuse not to do the right thing.

According to Westrrn Province Police Commissioner, Rae Hamponga, the Police also stated that her vehicle did not have valid road license, insurance and fitness.

It must be stated that all these are mere traffic and civil offences and the Zambia Police must charge her so that she can pay the fines and have her vehicle released.

To hold on to the vehicle any further is to continue persecuting her, subjecting her to a grueling and painful process she has suffered  since 2021.

Release her vehicle.

May the soul of Cephas Maluba Shawa rest in eternal peace.

PF GRASSROOTS MEMBERS DEFECT TO CITIZENS FIRST IN CHASEFU

PF GRASSROOTS MEMBERS DEFECT TO CITIZENS FIRST IN CHASEFU

More grassroots members of the Patriotic Front (PF) have continued to abandon the former ruling party in preference for the Citizens First (CF) party led by President Harry Kalaba, ahead of the 2026 general elections.

On Friday, Citizens First National Chairman Levison Mumba and National Mobilization Chairman Henry Chilombo were in Chasefu District, where they received over 300 ward officials who defected from PF in Chasefu Constituency.

The defectors, drawn from various wards across the constituency, cited a desire for focused leadership and people-centered policies as the main reason for joining the rapidly growing Citizens First movement.

Speaking during the engagement with the new members, Mr. Mumba welcomed the defectors and urged them to remain committed to building strong grassroots structures for the party as the country heads toward the August 13, 2026 general elections.

He said the growing number of members joining Citizens First across the country is a clear indication that Zambians are ready for a new style of leadership that prioritizes economic recovery, job creation, and improved livelihoods.

Citizens First National Mobilization Chairman Henry Chilombo emphasized that the party’s strategy is to strengthen its presence at ward and community level, ensuring that the voice of ordinary citizens is represented in national governance.

https://youtu.be/q-XgpkxKu4s?si=Y0N2HaXV6TY7A_YN

Mr. Chilombo noted that the continued influx of members from other political parties demonstrates growing public confidence in President Harry Kalaba’s leadership and the Citizens First agenda.

The two party leaders are currently touring Eastern Province as part of an intensive grassroots membership mobilization drive aimed at consolidating support for Citizens First ahead of the 2026 polls.

The party leadership says it will continue engaging communities across the country to recruit new members and build strong local structures capable of delivering victory in next year’s elections.

Zambia’s Rising Mining Rank Signals New Phase in Global Copper Race

🇿🇲 VIEWPOINT | Zambia’s Rising Mining Rank Signals New Phase in Global Copper Race

Global capital is once again scanning the map for reliable mineral jurisdictions. Zambia’s climb to 25th place on the Fraser Institute’s 2025 Investment Attractiveness Index signals more than a statistical improvement. It places the country firmly back in the conversation as the copper belt of the future, at a moment when the world’s appetite for energy transition minerals is accelerating.

The Fraser Institute survey is one of the mining industry’s most influential barometers. Conducted between August and November 2025, it gathered responses from 256 mining executives representing roughly US$4.2 billion in exploration budgets. Their assessments shape where exploration capital flows next. A jurisdiction moving from 28th to 25th place with a score of 72.84 therefore reflects rising investor confidence in Zambia’s geological promise and policy direction.

Mining executives rarely invest sentimentally. Exploration budgets chase opportunity. Zambia’s mineral endowment remains among the strongest in the world. Copper grades across the Central African Copperbelt, stretching from the North-Western Province to the Democratic Republic of Congo, continue to rank among the most commercially attractive deposits on the planet. The Fraser Institute’s Best Practices Mineral Potential Index placed Zambia 20th globally, confirming the depth of copper, cobalt, gold and emerging critical minerals still beneath its soil.

The global context explains why this matters now. Artificial intelligence infrastructure, electric vehicles, renewable energy systems and battery storage technologies are triggering a new copper rush. The International Energy Agency estimates global copper demand could double by 2040, largely driven by electrification and AI-powered data infrastructure. Data centres, electric grids, EV motors and battery systems require immense quantities of copper wiring and conductive metals.

Technology giants are already responding. Companies building the next generation of AI cloud computing centres require massive power networks. Every hyperscale data facility depends on kilometres of copper cabling and cooling systems. The world’s transition into an AI economy therefore intensifies the race for stable copper supply chains. Few regions possess Zambia’s geological scale combined with existing mining infrastructure.

Policy stability remains the other half of the equation. The Fraser Institute’s Policy Perception Index placed Zambia 30th globally, with a score of 74.96, improving from 38th previously. Investors measure risk through regulatory predictability, tax clarity, labour frameworks, security conditions and administrative efficiency. Improvements in inflation control, exchange rate stability and progress on debt restructuring have helped rebuild investor confidence.

But t the copper race is not won through rankings alone. Competition for mining capital is intensifying. Countries from Chile to Namibia are repositioning themselves as strategic suppliers of critical minerals needed for the energy transition and AI technologies. Investors compare logistics corridors, power supply reliability, licensing timelines and legal protections before committing exploration budgets.

Trade processes and labour regulatory clarity remain areas flagged by the survey. Mining capital moves quickly when opportunities appear elsewhere. Delays in licensing, uncertainty around policy interpretation or security perceptions can redirect exploration spending toward rival jurisdictions. Sustaining Zambia’s upward momentum will depend on reducing bureaucratic friction while
national interests.

A deeper question also emerges. The copper rush is evolving beyond raw mineral extraction. Countries rich in copper and cobalt increasingly seek value chains around battery manufacturing, energy storage and advanced metal processing. AI and electrification will demand not only minerals but also refined components, specialised alloys and high-capacity conductors. The real economic prize lies in capturing parts of this industrial chain.

Zambia therefore stands at an inflection point. Rising rankings show the world is paying attention again. Copper demand driven by electrification, artificial intelligence and the global energy transition creates a historic window for resource economies. Converting geological advantage into broad economic transformation will require disciplined policy, infrastructure expansion and strategic industrial planning.

The new copper rush is in motion. Zambia now sits closer to its centre than it has in years.

US EMBASSY CLOSURE SOUGHT OVER ALLEGED LAWBREAKING

US EMBASSY CLOSURE SOUGHT OVER ALLEGED LAWBREAKING

A Choma based youth has called for the closure of the United States embassy in Zambia for allegedly breaking international law

Bright Mwanza claims that the US has broken international laws through its actions in Iran which led to the death of that country’s Supreme leader and several others, including civilians.

Mwanza tells BYTA FM News that the US has repeatedly shown disregard for international law and human rights.

He says bombing other countries and killing innocent people is unacceptable.

Mwanza has since called on the Zambian government to take action to shut down the US embassy in the country until they account for their actions.

He has charged that it is hypocritical for the US to lecture other countries about human rights while engaging in such brutal acts.

Iran’s Regime Fractures After Khamenei’s Demise

Iran’s Regime Fractures After Khamenei’s Demise

Iran’s interim leadership is cracking under pressure following the targeted killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in joint US-Israeli strikes.

President Masoud Pezeshkian, heading the provisional council, issued an apology to Gulf states for recent Iranian attacks, only to face sharp rebukes from hardline members tied to the IRGC

This public split exposes deep divisions between moderates seeking de-escalation and revolutionary hardliners demanding vengeance. Efforts to rush Mojtaba Khamenei, the late leader’s son, into the supreme role have sparked doubts about regime unity, especially as military setbacks mount.

With bombs still falling and proxies reeling, these internal rifts offer a fleeting chance for diplomacy—likely through Oman—before IRGC-aligned factions slam the door shut and double down on confrontation. The mullahs’ grip looks shakier than ever.

CUBA ON THE BRINK: Protests Erupt as Havana Goes Dark

🚨 CUBA ON THE BRINK: Protests Erupt as Havana Goes Dark 📉🌑

The “maximum pressure” campaign is reaching a fever pitch. Nighttime protests have broken out across Havana and western Cuba as the island’s electrical grid faces a total collapse. With millions left in the dark for days due to a crippling fuel blockade and infrastructure failure, the sounds of “cacerolazos” (pot-banging) and chants for freedom are echoing through the unlit streets of the capital.

In a decisive move, the President has officially assigned Secretary of State Marco Rubio to take the lead on the Cuba file. Rubio—a son of Cuban exiles—is now the point man for what the administration is calling a “friendly takeover” and a transition to democracy.

Speaking from Florida, the President was blunt: “Cuba is going to fall pretty soon.” He signaled that the U.S. is ready to celebrate a new chapter for the island “in a couple of weeks.”

The 2026 Cuban crisis has been accelerated by an American oil blockade that has cut off the regime’s lifelines from Venezuela. Without fuel, the lights stay off, and the regime’s control is evaporating.

Secretary Rubio has made it clear that the goal isn’t just pressure, but the complete removal of the communist leadership to ensure the Western Hemisphere is no longer a “safe haven” for hostile actors.
